Coyote danced back, trying to avoid a swipe, and nearly made it. It was a glancing blow, but it still stung. She grimaced before moving out of range, then offered the spear toting figure a smirk. "That's Amity. He's not really good with introductions." Understatement. The smirk softened. "You're really impressive with that thing, how'd you get it?" A tiny pause. "What's your name?" Well, whatever tiny edge of superiority he could muster over her. None over Licraesa, though. Where'd she get a weapon? Amity wanted a weapon. Goddammit. Though he wanted a weapon, as well, Sarviur ignored the conversation going on, and lunged for the thing's foot again - killing this thing was the more immediately important goal! He yanked the foot toward him and the Locked Insanity tumbled down, down, down...fortunately, tilted away from him. Some of the debris clanked as it hit his head, but he gaped in surprise. It wasn't glowing any more. Was it...had he done that? Licraesa beamed at Coyote. "Huh. Amity." The word was strange on her tongue. "Thanks. I turned in some of the baubles from these creatures-- I was gifted with strength in response. The Goddess is great and kind, in that respect." A pause. "In all respects." "My name is Licraesa. I reside in the ruins, I think."

" Turning in baubles, hm?" Sarviur asked, pulling himself up and facing the rest of the group at last. " I hope my goddess provides the same gifts, although I am glad for all that she has given me." He bent down and rummaged for something useful again, shadowed bones aching. What were these? Surely they'd be of more help than the other little mementos he'd kept.

Amity felt an uneasiness. It wasn't exactly that he distrusted the Goddesses, despite what he'd said to Coyote--quite the opposite, really--it was just that some fundamental part of him took umbrage with Licraesa's subservient tone. He wasn't even sure why.
"Good for you," he groused, scooping up some baubles of his own and absently wondering if maybe he ought to go try and get a weapon too. Distinct feelings of inferiority resurfaced.
