Trying for the Soul achievement!
SOLO The moment she had completed the goddesses' first task and handed the fragments she had collected over, she felt a change within her, something... growing. Her emotions? Feelings? She didn't understand. But there was another change.
She looked down, seeing something glowing, and her hand touched the pin around her waist, emitting a bright white. She didn't understand the symbol on it, but seeing it seemed to bring some sort of comfort, some sort of reassurance. Had she seen this before?
Though her purpose was clear, her resolve never faltering, it didn't hurt to explore the different aspects of this world. It seemed there was so much to learn, so much to see. Even though she had no recollection of this place, she still felt some past bond, some connection to the other shadows. Especially that one particular one... what was his name? ReDawn? She wasn't quite sure why, but something about him made her feel... unpleasant. Of course, there was that time where he made her lose track of that last fragment and LAUGHED at her for it (the gall of him!), but, it seemed to run deeper. Something about him irked her, and she hated it, not knowing what it was.
Of course, there was also the matter of those... things. Vile disgusting creatures. She supposed if anything, though she still disliked that shadow, if he hadn't been following her, they may not have finished off the creature. But there was also the fact that the thing had been following HIM, not her, so obviously he ended up dragging her into that fight. That was TOTALLY his fault. But... she did end up getting something out of it, she supposed. She gave the weapons a curious look, knowing not what to make of them. But, she was still wondering. Why had he followed her to the shrine? Why did he follow her after she gave up those fragments?
What if, perhaps, he was a spy? Someone pretending to serve the goddess, but was actually seeking to dethrone them? She had to warn them? But... wouldn't they know? Surely the goddesses were all-powerful, all-seeing. They would know the contents of their heart already, wouldn't they? Yet she couldn't help shake the feeling that something about this was wrong. That they knew something, and... she didn't know what.
What was this feeling? Why did she feel this way?
Perhaps by completing more tasks, finding more clues, she would finally be able to piece together this puzzle.
