Clover_IceQueen I've always figured that the reality around me was just a figment of my imagination, even when I was little. But... if it is just a trick from my mind, why can I not make things that are unreal in my perception of reality? I don't know why we can't control our perception of reality. That is really interesting question. Maybe the laws of physics are fixed by some primordial God or consciousness.

I wrote something for my blog a couple of weeks ago that examines a similar question to yours.

If we create our own reality then why can't we make figments or our imagination real? One answer might be because everyone else on the planet whom can also create reality with their minds and perceptions doesn't think that's possible. If we mostly believe that imagination is nothing more than fantasy and the majority perception forms reality then it's no wonder you can't will an ice cream cone into existence before you. This is not a bad thing. Imagine what the world would be like if everyone's every thought or notion became reality? Absolute bedlam would result.

You share it with billions of other people. As close as you're getting to it being all yours is the one you make inside your head. If you're pressing on the idea that all of reality is an illusion and you are the only real thing in it then the very fact that you can't propagate whatever you want seems to argue against you being the prevailing force in such a scenario. Solipsism is fine and dandy except that it's ultimately useless and yields to existentialism (like most things do).

I believe that everyone in existence is just a figment of my imagination. In other words, you don't really exist. So, others' beliefs should not effect mine.

As I said, the very fact that you can't create whatever you want seems to suggest you are not the prevailing force in your scenario of everything being a figment of your imagination. This suggests that everything is not a figment of your imagination or that you don't want to be able to control your reality.
