Eyes: Large, chestnut-shaped and a fiery, red-orange color. His eyes have a lingering bitter glint in them, if one looks closely enough, though for the most part are always either looking off into the distance or fiercely concentrated on a given task.
Hair: Blonde, and cut short for convenience.
Face: Young, clean complexion, and his skin is a naturally a very pale yellow, though every so often (especially in the summer months) he gets a tan from working outside. He is not, however, prone to sunburns.
Physique: About 5'11" and around 162lbs. He has a medium frame, and is lean with definite muscle tone and definition, particularly in his arms and upper body (mostly due to his larger-than-average axe and the training involved). He keeps himself in relatively good shape with regular exercise (going on runs, jobs involving manual labor, etc.) to go alongside his actual training for battle.
Clothes: Simple, and more or less presentable, but not necessarily fashionable. His wardrobe is basically meant to be efficient. That is, anything he owns needs to be easy to wash, easy to wear, and easy to train with.
Distinguishing Features: Pointed ears (relatively normal in size, proportionate to the size of his head) and a pair of golden wing tattoos on his back.

Ever since leaving the household of the Mistress, Ainsley has somewhat learned to loosen up; he's still not all that fun to be around, but he's certainly better than when he was younger. Though he certainly has his merits, one would never be privy to them until after they've gotten to know him a bit better. He has something of a sharp tongue and is prone to speaking out of turn, however, being around Quan has taught him how to control himself when he ought to. He acts a bit older than he really is, but more or less he doesn't feel the need to hide his urges anymore. If he ever feels like loosening up, whether it's in private or in public doesn't matter to him anymore. He's simply learned to genuinely enjoy himself, though his enjoyment is usually in the form of productivity most often regarding his training or his studies. That said, he doesn't feel the need to ever censor his thoughts, so he still comes off as pretty obnoxious. He is very much a thinker and, while sometimes his tongue gets ahead of him during conversation, when it comes to serious, long-term choices, he will take the time to ensure that he makes good, practical decisions. In the same vein, he's very calm under pressure, and still tries to make the best possible decisions even when pressed for time. Due to the events in his past, which led to his current situation, despite living a much more carefree life as a vagabond, he is still a private, very guarded person. He does not easily trust, nor does he easily forgive. He's quick to judge, if only for the sake of protecting himself; that is to say, unless proven otherwise, he will assume his initial impression of you is absolute and correct. He calls it an "instinct" for people. Even into his teens he's retained his incredible work ethic and concentration that he developed after being taken in by the Mistress. He takes any and all tasks seriously. Failure is not an option, and should he stumble the first time, he'll pick himself up and try again until he succeeds.
Thoughts on the Great Engagement: He has no preconceived notions regarding the war, as he has seen much too little to formulate an informed opinion. As far as he is concerned, the war is simply something that colors the climate of the world and the attitudes and opinions of its people. He is grateful to those that fight for, and protect, Serenia though. (this is subject to change as he grows and develops)
Thoughts on Dragons: Due to several bad run-ins with Ysali dragons, he has developed a relative dislike of the creatures. He finds them snarky and rather moody, attacking at whim even without any provocation. Nevertheless, he still feels that they are powerful creatures that are as much involved in the war as the rest of the people of Magesc. He still holds a decent level of respect for the creatures, despite his unfortunate encounters. (this is subject to change as he grows and develops)
