While it was normally difficult to miss that fashionable ghoul, Junko's presence still caught damien off guard, flinching at the sudden realization that the two best friend ghouls were together. "Oh Junko! I swear you took me by surprise there." he was just going to chalk it up to the panic of the situation that made him miss that. brown eyebrows furrowed as the ghoul spoke on the matter, bringing up the crucial point that they cant physically attack here.
"I know its far fetched, but at the same time I wouldn't put it past them to find a loophole like this." he muttered, keeping the talk private from those that may not have been brought into the truth of their coalition. 'There is also the chance that this might be an unrelated matter, but either way we need to keep our wits about us and stay alert." he reasoned aloud, things like this just seemed to happen far too much nowadays, it was almost commonplace. "How's everyone else, did anyone get in contact with them"? this statement was a bit louder, in case anyone else had vital info about other locations that needed assistance while they were holed in, staring back at the blank, bug eyed yellow depths of the creatures that tried to organize another attack.

Steffani had gone to the first room she thought might be safe or, if not safe, at least not empty. She came into the Student Club Rooms, sinking against the wall and taking a breath, only to realize that the fighting hadn't stopped in this room. They were, quite literally, everywhere.
But at least she wasn't fighting alone? Steffani stepped into the room, glancing at her purse to make sure she wasn't losing anything, and then quite literally leapt into the fray. Or, rather. It leapt at her. Instinct spurned the Patchwork forward and she swung her purse quite sharply at the oncoming wave of shadowlings.
This was going to get old, quickly.

"Damien-" Lizzy greeted, although she quickly paused, her brow creasing in worry. At Junko's comment, she nodded, "Even so, we can't exactly rule out that possibility... But it doesn't feel like what they would normally do?" You know, the whole come at them with weapons and nets thing.

Swinging and missing through intangibility, the hellhound growled, retreating to the other students. Apparently these three knew each other which was a good thing, but for the demon, a slight annoying. The sudden attack of the heartless left him wearing whatever he managed to scrap up from his room during the attack. A small bag on his back containing a journal and his skull helm, wearing only but shorts, scarf, and gloves. Going barefoot and shirtless left him on the defense, constantly retreating, and discouraging footwork into his attacks.
Bumping into the other students, he glanced over his shoulder.
"Less talking." he uttered. "Unless it is useful."

More students were arriving and Petro was very relieved to find most of them were those he knew and trusted. "Junko! Lizzy! Demi!" He called out to them as well as for Lattice's benefit.

"Don't worry, you're fine." Junko chuckled at Damien's surprise. It meant Junko was doing well if she was startling people. It meant she could scare humans well if she even scared students every now and then.
He had a point about the loopholes and stuff. They even had bodies that looked like existing students...sigh. Why couldn't they just leave them alone? "They were trying to eat everything in my room. I took a broom to them and they just...poofed." Hunter golems didn't 'poof', they melted.
They were bumped into and she squeaked. What the..?! "I'm not a fighter.." She looked down at the creatures trying to get at her, kicking a few away without doing them any harm. "B-but um I...I can...help..?" She really, really didn't want to fight. Junko had done enough fighting.
Her name was called out and Junko spotted Petro and Lattice as well. "Hello! Be careful, Petro!"

"Ah so it wasn't just my stuff they were eating." Damien noted aloud. 'whatever they are, they have a voracious appetite, and unlike the hunters, are interested in just eating stuff, not capturing or torturing/'studying'.' he mentioned in a tense tone. "That the only thing that makes me think they are not working with the meatbags." Also it would have been kinda weird to see those white coat wearing bastards in such small forms now.
"Glad to see you two safe, we can use all the help we can get here!" The momentary relief that came with seeing a relatively safe Tro and Lattice was sullied after the bump of one focused student, one that didn't have a familiar scent. That was, pretty darn rude as far as he could tell. "not everyone is a fighter here numbskull, but lucky for you I am, and don't you hit a ghoul, learn your manners.' This, the hellhound knew was not the right place for a scolding, but it didn't mean the boil could get off the hook. "I'm sure they will help the best way that they can.' he didn't even have to question it when Junko spoke up and found her voice.
Really some boils just had the nerve.

Shaking his head, it would seem the intent of his comment went unnoticed. It was to be seen as he did not speak much to begin with. He was concerned that they were more focused on catching up than discussing modes of operation to get rid of these things. Of course, every able body is useful, but if one was to discuss anything, it would be how they were going to go about clearing these things out of here. These shadows were twice, if not thrice, the times bigger than the one that was in the dorm buildings, which may either indicate that they are another type of shadow, or they were evolving.
From his readings, minis did not, necessarily, evolve. At least, not in such a hastened manner such as this. Inching himself about the group, placing himself in front of the female with long black hair, he readied himself again.
"Never." he replied plainly to the fellow canine before lunging back into the fray once more. Never would he harm a female unless it was a spar or defending himself. Did he give some sort of indication that he would?...
The lack of social interactions growing up was becoming apparent.

Diana growled as more students entered the fray. She didn't mind the help, no. However their talking was starting to get on her nerves, badly. "One of you hell hounds is correct. Less talking more fighting. Besides, I think we can ALL say that these... things were devouring parts of our dorms before we got here. So how about we keep them from devouring any more of the place ok?" She calls out haughtily to the chattering students around her. She then takes another swing with her silver hairbrush at the nearest creature.

As carefully as he could, Petro led Lattice to the safety of the group. Which was growing into a sizable herd that gave the horse boil some measure of comfort. A small smile flashed across his lips at the concern and greetings from those he knew but he grimaced just as quickly when students he did not know began ordering others to fight.
"Ain't always the best course'v action for everyone," he echoed Damien's sentiments. "'M not so good with big numbers," the horse boil began, giving the horde of shadowlings a cursory glare. Then he gave the two new faces a hard look before a flash of white teeth, "But 'm good at taking a hit."
With one hand, he clapped the familiar hellhound by the shoulder, "Got y'r back," he promised.

Damien was taken aback when a nearby ghoul decided to bring in her two cents, ruffling the fur at the nape of his neck. "Well excuse me for watching out for those that I spent time with, and trying to get some intel instead of charging in like a headless cockatrice." he barked back heatedly, glaring at the duo that had their own two cents. The only voice of reason was Tro, which was a shocker considering how much the boil loved to get physical. Either way, the smile of gratitude was on his face for him and a nod of thanks to go with it.
"Look at you, growing up Tro." he teased and bumped shoulders with the boil and got into position in front of the ghouls. "glad to hear it!" taking the solace that someone was going to cover as they thinned out the crowd of beasts. If these snots were so impatient, then he'd jump in for the lot he was with. The cross kick of a broken piece of wood that took out a few of the scrambling shadows felt good enough, pushing the crowd back a bit to rethink their efforts.
It was small, but it was suitable for stalling time. "Strike!"the energetic hellhound let out a whoop and lined up another plank for the next shot.

Uru bounded over the fellow hellhound, taking other another shadow. Standing back up, he glanced back at him. Collecting information was important, but he found that if the threat was taken out, people were safe. Intel could be collected during combat for all that mattered to him.
"If I could petrify, it would make things easier." He commented, recalling that the cockatrice species were once rumored to be able to petrify its prey. For whatever purpose that served, he was certain that it could not possibly eat stone and thus would have starved itself. Which would further explain why he had never seen one...
Shaking himself from his mind, he moved back to the group again, heterochromatic eyes glancing from every corner of the room. There seemed to be no end to this madness!

Steffani glanced briefly to the group of students bickering among each other, but making her way over there required taking out more of the shadowlings. Well, why not? The patchwork swung her purse again at the throng of little shadows, pleased with the few that she managed to take out in her swing.
She made her way to the group, slow but determined. En masse, they should be able to take out the unending mass, right? Or at least go down fighting.
...that wasn't her preferred option. Just saying.

"Enough arguing, please." Junko's voice was loud enough for everyone to hear but it wasn't angry or annoyed in any way. She remained perfectly calm the whole time. "Everyone does things a different way. I can't fight but I have other ways to be useful."
She would hang back behind the fighters looking for signs of weariness. The ghoul was ready.
