Jesus...im not looking for an argument here. This is not worth arguing over for me. I dont care if it was or wasn't pro-gay and I am not arguing that it was indeed a joke only that many, homosexual or not, could definitely see it that way. I just think that its not NECESSARILY progay, not anti-gay either. AGAIN, i didnt do any research, i simply added a comment to Contribute to the conversation. Lady Kayura Xx_LunaJade_xX Im more arguing that the ad wasnt necessarily "pro-gay" im not saying that it wasnt, but saying it was is jumping to conclusions. Again, I havent done any research, only have seen the ad, so I do not know if kindle specifically states that it was pro-gay, but the ad could be taken in a humerous sense, which some would, in fact, take offensively
It is meant to be humorous in that you think the man is hitting on the woman when he's not. But it isn't mocking either couple or relationship.
I don't get what research needs done since you've seen it. It is an advertisement, not some work of literature that can be interpreted 800 ways. o_O I guess you could see if Amazon has done anything else to support gay rights (and they have and that's been established already).
Your comment about it being a joke is confusing to me because I've not seen anyone LGBT (or straight allies) that were offended by the ad but happy to see it.

I wasn't arguing simply trying to understand your post. I didn't get what sort of research needed to be done so I figured I'd reply to you to try to understand you. Sorry, I didn't know doing that would upset you. Don't worry though, I won't be trying to understand what you mean by needing to do research or bothering to you further. Thanks for posting. Have a nice day.

Im not upset at all. I simply don't want to argue over the fact that it was a joke. Because it wasnt i agree, but it can be perceived that way by many and thus takes on a humerous implication. Sorry if I gave you the impression that I was upset. (research as in: why the commercial was used and Amazon's standing on gay rights.) Thank you for answering the question I originally wanted answered. That's all I wanted. No argument. razz
