  Ariella Winters Queen of Ivenia
She sighed, a bit frustrated. "Of course I am worried. My entire kingdom's fate lies in my hands. " She stood up, walking to the window. She could not see the world outside, because she had covered the window, but as she closed her eyes, she could picture it in her mind. She was a shapeshifter. Freedom sang in her blood, but as Queen, she was more trapped then ever. She backed away, opening her eyes. Despair was not something enjoyed but what choice did she have? She was Queen. She couldnt keep doing this. At least, not alone. She needed help. Was it time to marry?
She had always despised the idea, not wanting to become second to some man. The nobles all saw her as unfit. But she had to to what was best for her people. She was ...she needed assistance. The task was draining her. But who? The nobles were all so ...full of themselves.

 "You could marry me..." Azure almost whispered the words.He hid the panicked look in his eyes.Not much scared him,losing her? Oh yeah.That did it.Azure looked at her."You could marry me..."

Ariella Winters Queen of Ivenia
She froze, her world crashing and burning. Marry her Captain of the Guard? People would put up a fight, but....could they? When she had made him Captain, she had made him a noble in his own right. He was an elemental, so strong, and they could not complain about his lack of experience. And she would still be the ruling monarch. He would be king, but the formal decisions would still be hers. She was the Queen, and...she would be happy. Her people would have two monarchs. No kingdom had that. They would be the first one to establish such stability.
Thinking it over, she sat down on her bed. What was the right answer? She stopped, and looked and him. "Okay."

Suddenly an ice ring formed on her finger.It froze solid, being able to withstand her body temperature.On it formed a deep blue crystal.He smiled softly."I will make you the happiest queen I can."Azure sat infront of her and grabbed her hand."Im afraid you might have to get used to my frostbite skin..."

She laughs, at that. "Oh my Captain. I grew used to your cold skin years ago. It is only your new title which I must remember." She stood up, and walked over to her vanity. She opens the box there, and pulls out a small document. unfolding it, she takes out a pen. It was a certificate of marriage. She would sign it now, so that no one could stop the marriage. But there would have to be a formal wedding. It was tradition, and the nobles would demand it. "Are you sure you want to take on this? Being a king is not easy, and being married to a shapeshifter will test your nerves?" She said, joy blossoming on her face.
She was happy. For once, the right thing for her people was also something good for her. It was... a nice change. She also had the other objects that belonged to the king. Since there had been no king, she had held on to them. The king had his own chambers, across the hall. But that was because in the past, most kings and queens had been arranged marriage. Why share a bedroom with someone you despise? That was not the case for them, but tradition was tradition. And of course, there was the matter of the crown? She had it somewhere. She just had to find it, but it would not be his until they married.

She laughs a bit mischievously. "I am Queen. You must come to me." She touched the pendant at her throat. A gift from her father, it was a symbol of her devotion her people. But it also symbolized how trapped she was. Like the beauty of the pendant, she was forever a symbol. She would be nothing more then a phase in Ivenia's history, but she would be theirs. Her life ended with her peoples'. She was their everything. And without them she was nothing.

Azure came up behind her wrapping his arms around her waist.He nuzzled her neck."Let me make you free..if only for one night Ariella." Azure growled nipping her neck at the pulse.He smiled and inhaled the scent of her skin.He always loved her smell

Ariella Winters Queen of Ivenia
She laughed, and turned around in his arms, reaching up to wrap her arms around him. She kissed his lips, and the cold of them sent a shiver down her spine. She was far used to his cold touch, and it did not bother her. In fact, she rather liked it. Yes, the sun was great...but when you spend your time trapped indoors, you begin to value other things as well. But don't get her wrong,she does not like the winter. People get sick, and she can get killed flying in the snow and ice. Her wings won't function correctly.
"Fine, but only because you asked so nicely."

He growled and kissed her hard."Oh my queen...I never ask nicely." Azure grinned and pulled her close to him."I missed you.." He lead her to the bed and smiled....
A few hours passed and Azure grinned kissing her on the forehead.They had some catching up to do.

She smiled at him, and thought about what lay in store for her kingdom. She got up off the bed, and walked around her room, touching the vines and flowers. She once thought this would be her tomb, dead to her position was Queen. She was beginning to think that she was not as trapped as she thought. She smiled, and walked to the window. Pulling the curtains back, she walked to her dresser. She put on a blue tunic and pants, and raced to the window. She looked out at the village below. She was highly tempted to jump out.
She closed her eyes as a cold wind blew through the room. She ached to stretch her wings.

Azure grinned kissing the back of her neck. "Go ahead my love." He smiled hugging her from behind.She needed and wanted all the freedom she could get.And he loved watching her shift and take to the skies.She was beautiful in her bird form

Ariella Winters Queen of Ivenia
She nodded, and moved to the window. She shifted forms, into her graceful hawk nature, and escaped through the window. She would fly above the homes near the castle, and watch as guards panicked. They often did, when she was flying around. A few other avian shape shifters would join in as usual, finding it a lovely thing, to be able to fly with their queen.

Azure smiled watching her go.She was beautiful as a hawk.It was one of the many things that first attracted him to her.That and the sassiness.He was in jail many years ago.And he was about to face the hangmans noose for killing the former head guard. But she saw something more.And she put him through training and eventually he replaced the one he killed.
