"You sound like you this time," Jordan said, relieved. As Rep lowered Tracey, he stepped in and pulled the other man into a brief, fierce hug, not caring that there were others there; nobody was being threatening right this instant, and after what the damned House had put him through - put them through, he was certain - he needed the contact.

Absolutely nothing could alleviate the anxiety and tension Rep was carrying around with him more efficiently than that simple contact. Too real, too perfect to be an illusion, a solid soul in this damn place. He returned the hug himself with equal intensity, burying his face fleetingly against the crook of Jordan's neck with a relieved smile and the usual flurry of fur collar - he even smelled right too.
He could have stayed there all day, but as always there were enemies all around and they weren't able to risk the time he wished they had, letting them both move apart naturally with the shallowest of relieved sighs.
"This place is ******** up." he stated matter-of-factly, leaning the conversation away from the unspoken feelings of absolute affection. Instead he looked away, warily eyeing the others around in case they'd decided the brief lapse in hostility was some manner of weakness, suddenly acutely defensive. He didn't want Jordan to become some sort of target because of him being an a** later on. As far as being an idiot went however, old habits died hard and he couldn't help but go on. "Some of these monsters look familiar." he stated, his voice low and almost a growl again. "What do you think my odds are if I jump one of the little ones?"

Now stairs. Stairs were fun...
While something had pulled them away from the door, made then hesitate, not so much as a whisper warned against the stairs leading downward that they'd come upon not long after.
There were whispers again though, faint, almost lost among the sounds of three pairs of feet descending downward, but most assuredly there. She shouldn't be happy for it, knowing what it was, but the return of those familiar whispers had filled something within her, that void their absence had left, and she had welcomed them back with open arms.
The stair case seemed to go on forever, and in the fog swirled dark the distance between the small party of horsemen grew, or at least that's what Nergui was forced to assume and she finally emerged at the bottom into what seemed to be a cavernous room. It was gigantic, and all around her the mare heard voices, but not familiar ones, and when she looked back it seemed the stairwell was gone, and the guardian and executioner with it. "Soren?" Unease was quick to overwhelm the budding contentment at the return of the voices. "Senga?"
There was fog everywhere, and Nergui couldn't see the figures she knew were around her, not yet. They weren't close enough. She did however feel something brushing her leg, but there was nothing there when she jerked away, scanning the floor for the source. "Hello?" Soren, Senga.. Anyone?

"It is. I think it's been testing us." Jordan summoned Ferros, feeling safer with the hammer's weight solid in his hand. He eyed the monsters thoughtfully, weighing the odds and the risks. "Too many of them," he answered the question. "You don't want to be the first person to start something, either. Satisfying as it'd be to hit something right now, starting a fight when nobody's been openly hostile is going to make you a target, and the chances are good that others will remember you as the guy who started it, and that would make you a target in the future as well. Let someone else be the aggressor."

Holding tightly to Amphi's hand he headed down the steps, wondering if they were just going down to another trap. He wasn't sure what had happened to the door, it had opened, but disappeared before he'd even gotten a good look inside. Roch still got the feeling that if he'd walked through that door... well, who knew, maybe he wouldn't have made it back.
He didn't say that. He didn't plan on mentioning it to anyone, either. But he had started feeling exactly like his usual self when the fake Amphi had let go of him--and he was starting to wonder if he was the only one. He glanced down at the fog, a scowl on his face. Even completely sane, he was at a loss over how to fight fog.

"You are right, as always." he conceded, but didn't take his eyes off the other creatures around them, Tracey held tightly in his hand.
Give me a reason, just give me a ******** reason. he mentally hissed, all but willing someone else to attack him, to throw the first broken glass and start the bar fight. "I just really ******** want to hit these smug ********. Just walking around like they are safe. I want to make something ******** suffer."
He wanted them to remember him, but in contrast, he didn't want to die right here and now. He stayed his hand. For the time being at least. Tracey was kept close and his senses on high alert.

She was suddenly glad that she, as a personal preference towards comfort, hated wearing high heels. It would have been just great if she descended these stairs, tripped, and fell all the way down into the room filled with others. Then again, she doubted that Bix would allow her to fall... his fingers still firmly laced between hers.
Knowing their luck though, they both would have gone tumbling. She did not want to test this theory.
Either way, as they reached the end of the long staircase they were met with a sight of many. What once was none, and then one, was suddenly a freaking lot. It was a mix of Hunter, Student, and even a horsemen here and there. THe room they were inside was cold, a shiver running up her spine even though there was no breeze. What the hell was going on, exactly? "Looks like we just joined the party slightly late..." She looked over her shoulder towards Bix, shrugging her shoulders. Out of Reflex, Takeru was already gripped in her free hand.
He had been eerily silent this whole experience, though.
As she allowed her eyes to drift more over the array of bodies within the room, Ceres found herself growing colder within herself. Her fingers gripped the others hand tighter, slightly uncomfortably, as her thoughts wandered briefly. Aided by the insanity within her, she felt that protective streak glowing brighter. A faint touch against her leg as her focus changed, she noticed that there was indeed mist within this room as well.
"I think im going crazy." She mumbled to herself, catching sight of a few familiar faces in the crowd.

The first few stairs had nearly tripped him, more as he jerked away from the something in the fog that reached out to try to help him. Billy didn't trust it. And the stars has gone on forever, but at least he had definitely heard others around him. Some of those voices definitely sounded like other students he'd seen before. And finally at the bottom, Billy would have been happier if no fog was in the room. And it definitely has a room feel here. What unnerved him was the absence of sound other than the voices. This place was like a void. Anything could be farther out there, or at the edges of the room he couldn't see. At least the floor was still comfortingly solid, stone-like. He remembered the shifting floorboards of another room the fog had dumped him in.
Billy had paused on the last step, and looked over the others he could see. No one he knew... or recognized... Wait...
"Clyde?"
Billy avoided the rather dangerous looking pair of hunters, with their weapons out, and kept an eye on them as made his way over towards the other boil. He was really hoping they wouldn't strike at him, because they looked more on edge than some of the others.
Bix held Ceres hand all the way down the stairs. His paranoia crawled through his veins, every step feeling like it might be their last one. It actually helped to finally reach the bottom. He gravitated towards the hunters, keeping Ceres close, especially in her current state.
"You're fine." The hunter reassured her with a squeeze of the hand. "We're fine." They really weren't but it was always worth it to try. It was an odd mix as more came down the stairs but every seemed just as uncomfortable and concerned as the last. He remembered the last time they were here at the house, the other powers that had come into play.
Had they all gotten caught in some sort of trap? Some sort of game?
"Hunters should stick together." He lifted his weapon to the others and moved closer to them. At least having enough people for a small squad was better than nothing.
Jerry had slipped down the stairs slowly, drifting quietly, his eyes lowered. He felt tired, exhausted more like it, his feet moving slowly. He kept low. He kept to the side. There were other creatures here. Was this still part of the flow of hallucinations? Shoulder against the rail, he breathed in the fog.
They were watching. They were listening, more than likely, taking notes. Something was out there. He scurried quicker as he felt something over his foot.
Watching. Testing.
Roar was summoned once again, but he wrapped his scarf around the weapon's glowing eyes and runes as best he could. Make himself invisible. Destroy them before they destroy him.
He kept low.
Through the fog down the steps he saw two more familiar figures... ones that didn't look like monsters or demons. Where they real? Was there any way to find out? His friends....
They had left him.
It had just been this strange haunted house, they were separated, he hadn't been abandoned-
His brain swimming as he tried to digest what he felt about it, he glided forward as silent as possible. Once directly behind them, he whispered gently, "Ssssh. I... I think we're.... they're..." He immediately clammed up, brows knit as he stepped back from Jordan and Rep.

One step after the other took Mitsu further and further under ground. The deeper she went the more trapped she felt but there was no way she could turn back. She didn't want to be the coward and desert her friends. What would they think of her then?
She looked up as Shun turned to glance at her but in that moment she lost her balance her hands unable to catch herself in time. Her momentum took her dangerously forward toward toppling down the stairs but before she could fall something grabbed her and hauled her back to her feet, putting her back in balance once again. There was relief in having been spared a fall but that relief was short lived when Mitsu realized there was no one close by that could have caught her.
The fur on the top of her tail stood on end, her muscles now stiff with anxiety as she tried to push the experience out of her mind and continue down the stairs. She could hear voices now, some familiar and many not. At first she had hoped it was other students but as she reached the bottom of the stairs students weren't the only beings in sight. There were horseman....and then there was them. Hunters. Some she even recognized.
Shaking her head furiously as she stared at the group of Hunters who had aided in her previous capture Mitsu backed up toward where the stairs had been ready to flee only to find her back pressed against a stone wall. Eyes flying wide she whirled around to find the staircase was gone and pressing her hands against the wall proved it wasn't an illusion. Distressed she continued to search for an opening, frantically clawing at stone in an attempt to get out of this cage. She was trapped all over again and trapped with them.

Jordan nodded to Bix and the Moon whose name he didn't remember as they approached; the sudden whisper behind him, though, made him whirl around, coming very close to swinging Ferros at the intruder until he realized that it was only Jerry. "Jerry," he said, and huffed a relieved sigh. "You okay?"

The room was quickly becoming more and more filled. A few more hunters had filed on in as well. Shun eyed them warily, watching them. He felt a spark of anger as he saw the one with the hammer, as well as the bazooka, and Bix. Three of the hunters that had gone after Mitsu. The desire to kill them was strong, but he still made no move. That didn't stop him from glaring at the lot however.
Glancing back, he tried to check up on his lycan, only to see her backed up and obviously frightened.
"Mitsu," he hissed a little more sharply than he would have liked, but he was on edge now. The Reaper put himself between her and the gathering Hunters and standing rather defensively, "I won't let them get to you."
Not if he could help it at least.
"Please, pull yourself together. I need you with me here," he murmured to her. He was trying to rein her in a bit. He was going to have a harder time keeping an eye out for her if she was going to be panicking. And for that matter, it likely meant she wouldn't really be watching his back in turn.
While he stared down the hunters, he noticed someone was watching him in the distance, barely visible in the fog. Looking towards the figure, he noticed it was the mantis boy, Yin. It looked as though he was trying to keep his distance.. or something along those lines.

Other people were arriving. Other hunters. The numbers were swinging in their favour.
He felt like he was waiting to leave for some fantastic trip.
Jerry joined them, acting bizzare, but when did Jerry ever act normally lately? He left it up to Jordan, he couldn't focus on anything else but the desire to repeat the fantastic siphon of fear he'd managed on the dying figure.
He didn't even notice he'd started pacing like a wild animal until Tracey spoke up.
He didn't care.

Ceres was still feeling a bit twitchy as they moved through the crowds, she would give a nudge here or there if she felt they were growing too close to a enemy.
Concentrating even more, it was not until they were within talking distance that she recognized two of the three new faces. Rep, she knew. He just received a nod. Jerry on the other hand... she quirked an eyebrow at his sneaking around. What the hell was he doing? Peering towards the third face, she did not know who he was exactly... She had seen him around before, a long time ago, but they never really spoke much.
"Hello-" She began, before she stopped in her tracks and clamped her mouth shut. With one brief glance towards the others, there was one thing she noticed.... she was surrounded by suns.
Oh, s**t.
Pupils dialating, she looked at them and tilted her head for a moment... before she yanked softly at Bix's hand, and semi pushed him to closer to the other three suns before letting his hand go.
Why? Mother-bear mode, aided majorly by insanity, was a GO. She could guard them all more if they were close....right? Too bad she didn't have duct tape.... would taping them all together really help matters? She at least would be able to keep them all in the same spot. She felt herself nervously peering out around them... enemies everywhere. Words whispering faintly to her.... paranoia abundant...
Yup she was in a heap of trouble.
