Doofus Thy Name Is Drowzee
Zeke didn't like to get up to do anything. He liked his sleep and his sleep liked him, end of subject. It was incredibly rare to catch him wandering the forests on his own free will, suggesting that he had it in the first place. But on a cold winter's morning, Zeke found himself not only alone...
But famished...
He was so hungry that his anxieties shot him to his feet. Certainly he had forgotten to eat for three whole days! Had he been asleep for a good portion of the week?! He scuttled through the trees at an inhuman pace, searching for something to eat. No berries because of the cold, no nuts because of animals that hibernate, and he didn't even want to think about hunting! That was too horrible! What was he to do?!
Eventually, he found a stash of wild berries and nuts that he and Koujen had hid for the winter. He tried to eat only half of his agreed ration, it was supposed to last the whole winter, and temptation was hard to keep down. However, he was ultimately satisfied and able to waddle his way back to where he was sleeping before.
Along the way back, his stomach began to growl again, this time with force. Zeke stamped his foot and glared down at his oversized belly. What did it want now?! He'd eaten his fill of berries! Didn't that make any difference?! With a huff he plopped down on his rump and tried to think of anything else he could snack on. Fishing had popped into his mind, but it was nearing dusk, and the fish would probably be difficult to catch with little light. He rose with a sigh and wandered back to his sleeping spot to catch more sleep.
Then, in the morning light, Zeke was woken by a startling realization. He was a dream eater! Regular food didn't satisfy that kind of hunger! How could he have been so stupid?!
