With the battle coming to a draw, or so Chad had come to believe, he felt like he needed to make this a special time. If he could command Nincada to dodge the next attack, then that would mean that Nincada had gotten a little bit stronger through this fight. The fact that Poochyena was tired seemed to help Chad support his claims that this was going to work out the way he wanted it to. He was a naturally modest person though, so he wasn’t sure if he should test it out or not, however, for the sake of progress, Chad decided that it would be in his best interest to see if Nincada could pull it off. After all, it was about Nincada, not Chad’s eagerness to show off for the people here, he’d leave that to Kadaj who was already welcoming the crowd as though this were some kind of show. “Okay, instead of using harden this time, I’m going to make you dodge, okay Nincada?” Chad looked up at Kadaj who was biting his bottom lip with anticipation. This sort of made Chad grin because Kadaj had seemed to be so cocky right up until about now or sometime close. Nincada looked at Poochyena who was running towards it with another tackle. Sure, Poochyena was fast, but at this point, Nincada could be considered fast too since Poochyena was really injured and not doing so well in terms of strength remaining. As the Poochyena got closer and closer, Nincada moved its body inch by inch away from where it believed the Poochyena was about to tackle, then, almost as if it’d predicted the attack coming, Nincada jumped out of the way of Poochyena’s assault and jumped directly behind it. After successfully dodging the attack, Nincada turned around and looked at Chad with hope-filled eyes. “Good job Nincada! Now, finish this up with a scratch attack!” Nincada turned its head back to face the Poochyena who had just missed with a tackle attack. Chad refrained with all his might from grinning and laughing at Kadaj who was so full of himself. It was really nice putting people back into their place and it was even nicer knowing that he had perfected a little strategy with his Nincada, who may not have been the quickest Pokémon ever, but was one of the craftiest. Not even noticing that another man was walking by, adding one more to the crowd, Chad pointed to the Poochyena and Nincada began to scurry across the pavement with a claw held up in anticipation for the finishing attack. If everything went correctly, then Chad would win this thing and get to be left alone by this crazy man who so eagerly challenged him to a fight. All that Chad really hoped though was that Kadaj had learned his lesson and wouldn’t want to just fight people and gloat before the match was even over. As he thought about this, Nincada brought its claw down in the hopes of finishing up the fight.

Kadaj shook his head as his attack was dodged. His poor Poochyena was so arrogant and confident that it ended up getting overwhelmed before it even realized what was going on. The fact that the Nincada was able to dodge the Poochyena pretty much spelled out doom for Kadaj since his Poochyena was supposed to be so much faster. “Dodge it…” Kadaj moaned the sentence as he knew that it would be impossible at this point because once Poochyena had missed with its tackle attack, it fell into the sidewalk and just lied there like it was already done, although it wasn’t officially over since it was still struggling to its feet. Kadaj was so tempted to just end the battle there, but his pride got in the way of it and he kept his mouth shut. He could only flinch slightly when he saw his small Poochyena take a nasty scratch attack, causing the Poochyena to faint on the spot. “Ah man! Return little dude.” Kadaj pulled a Poke-ball from his pocket and held it up to his Poochyena, causing it to return in a blur of red light. “Tch, I guess I’m going to the Pokémon Center. There’s nothing else I can do at this point.” Kadaj shrugged and turned to the crowd of people. There was another person there now that Kadaj hadn’t noticed before, but he decided to ignore him and just wave to everyone before walking off towards the nearest Pokémon Center which wasn’t too far from him.
Kadaj did his best to appear cool and unfazed by the fact that he had just lost his first battle. There was no way he was going to let Chad get away with simply beating up his Poochyena, not now, not ever. Chad was now Kadaj’s rival, or at least that’s the way Kadaj saw it since he didn’t taking losing so elegantly. Kadaj did learn some things from that battle though. He learned that Poochyena wasn’t so good at fighting Pokémon that were more oriented towards defense. Although to be honest, Kadaj sort of figured that Chad was just lucky because Kadaj had only just gotten his Poochyena and there was no way he could be expected to defeat a Pokémon that new two moves instead of one like only Poochyena knew. Chad looked up to the sky to see that it was still daylight outside. It was kind of annoying to think that this is where the beginning of his journey had taken him: one-stop losingville. There was no way it could end like this though. He’d find Chad and make sure he paid dearly before making his poor Poochyena lose in a battle that it never had a shot at winning. So with that grudge in mind, Kadaj decided to move on to what else he thought to be interesting to think about. It seemed like his Poochyena was more respectful now, which was good because that was the main reason he fought in the first place was to get a good bond going between he and his Pokémon. Those battles would definitely be longer though if Kadaj had a few more moves he could’ve used.

Chad sighed in relief when he saw the Poochyena faint. He was a very humble man though, he didn’t gloat and he didn’t decide to teach Kadaj a lesson about why he shouldn’t be acting like he’s better than everyone for this very reason. Instead, Chad gave a thumbs up to Kadaj and smiled before speaking, “Thank you for the battle. I really enjoyed myself.” Kadaj’s response to what Chad said was somewhat predictable, a simple withdraw of his Pokémon and storming out of the area while trying to stay as composed as possible. Too bad there was no Pokémon Center that he could actually take his Pokémon too. Chad looked down to his young Nincada and sighed in relief. He really didn’t know how he’d be able to hand it if his Pokémon had lost that battle. He probably would’ve stormed out of here too to be honest, although Chad would’ve paid his respects to the victor before leaving. Still, Kadaj’s loss went a lot better than Chad had expected. “Oh Nincada, what to do, what to do…” Chad held out his Pokeball and aimed it at Nincada before smiling in a gleeful way, “You deserve a nice long rest!” Nincada was sucked into the Pokeball and Chad was left by himself, well as by himself as he could get. There were several people all gathered around talking about whatever. Chad hadn’t been paying attention to what they were saying since he was so absorbed into the battle. Now that he was out though, he had time to go over everything that was said. “There’s no Pokémon Center; I should probably let him know.” Chad stood there for a moment, thinking about whether or not Kadaj deserved to know, but for the sake of Poochyena, Chad decided to chase Kadaj down and let him know.
Chad easily caught up with Kadaj since it didn’t seem like he was sprinting or anything to get to his next location. Apparently Kadaj was still trying to play it cool, even after all the crowds had been rendered from his line of sight. “Kadaj!” Chad stopped in front of Kadaj, panting a little as he tried to explain what it was he wanted to say next. “The-There’s no Pokémon Center in this town.” Chad stopped mid-sentence, although he did realized that simply saying there was no Pokémon Center didn’t actually help the problem. “You should take your Poochyena to your home and let it rest for a bit.” Chad then began to slowly turn around and walk in the direction he had just come from. He walked very slowly though, maybe because he was expecting Kadaj to say something, he didn’t know. He just hoped that Kadaj would have a reason for saying there was a Pokémon Center. Maybe there was something that Chad didn’t know that Kadaj did know about healing Pokémon. If that was the case, then maybe Kadaj wasn’t so self-centered as Chad was being lead to believe throughout that whole Pokémon battle.

Kadaj wasn’t normally a man to feel guilty about things, but the way he left the situation was more than terrible. He almost wanted to smack himself in the face for leaving without showing some kind of respect. That was no way to leave, but then again, Kadaj had a stubborn pride to himself that always made him believe that accepting defeat was one of the worst things he could possibly do. He kind of wished that he didn’t seem so dumb either. His last comment was that he was going to go visit a Pokémon center, but anyone who knew this town knew that there was no Pokémon Center, and the only place here was a hospital who helped humans, not Pokémon. ‘Little dude, what should I do?’ Kadaj looked down at the buckle on his pants. He’d given up ownership of his rented home for the sake of going on a journey, so it’s not like he could just walk back into it and let his Pokémon rest on the bed. ‘I guess I could walk into an alleyway and let you rest there.’ Kadaj shrugged at his own comment and suddenly realized how much he was beginning to like his Pokémon. Without thinking, he began to walk towards an alley only a block away. It was nice and secluded so that no one would see him bumming around in it. However, his plans were cut short by the deep voice of Chad, the man who’d just beaten him in a Pokémon battle. “What do you want dude?” Kadaj was a bit short because he didn’t want to talk, especially with Chad who had just made him look like a fool in front of all those people who were watching them battle. Kadaj listened to Chad though, figuring it was the least he could because of his embarrassing walk away from the battle. “Yeah, taking him home would be nice.” Kadaj shrugged, not sure what else to say. He silently watched as Chad slowly began to walk away. It was hard debating whether or not he should ask Chad if he could use his place, but at the same time, it was his Nincada’s fault that Poochyena had fainted anyways. “Chad…” Kadaj looked down to the street, blushing red on his face. He didn’t like asking favors of other people since it could make him look weak and pathetic. “Um, that was a good match. We should have a rematch sometime dude. That way you can look at me and admire my body while our Pokémon duke it out!” Kadaj laughed and then sat down on the ground, right on the sidewalk. “Actually, I need your help dude. I only rented my house, so I don’t have it anymore. What about you? Do you have a place Poochyena could rest?” Kadaj pulled out a Poke-ball that contained his Poochyena. He then aimed it at his arm and out came his Poochyena, who had minor scratches all over him. “I should’ve stopped the battle ahead of time. I just thought… What if Poochyena could do it?” Kadaj put the Poke-Ball back into his pocket and then began to rock Poochyena back and forth in his arms, humming something so low, that Chad wouldn’t be able to hear it unless he had super hearing powers.

Rebecca Lynn Rebecca stood there amazed by the battling. She noticed a taller blond kid walk by with a houndour in his arms. So cool she thought.
She saw the girl approach and introduce herself. Rebecca gave her a smile. "Hello, nice to meet you." "I'm Rebecca Lynn, you may call me Becca if you'd like." She said to the girl. "Oh, and this is Chic." "She's my partner." The tiny bug looked over at the white haired girl. "Seew..waddle!" It greeted her.
Becca looked to the side of the girl, "Is that your scyther?" It looks so strong. "Would you care to spar with my Sewaddle maybe?" Becca grinned and giggled. "It'll be fun." Sewaddle hopped to the ground. "Se..Wadddle"

Chrome Delcore Walking out of the Village, Chrome and Pup kept to the road to avoid the grassy areas. Even if the small Houndour wanted to go and see what Pokemon lived outside of the Refuge it would be hopeless as to what to do. Chrome chuckled already finding the small creature endearing, "A minor battle with a wild pokemon would do my Pup some good..."The Trainer smirked as he turned to walk into a grassy area, Pup blinked before calling out and scrambling after him. Chrome turned to catch the little pokemon, "Now, its time for us to see what you can do...eh?"He placed Pup down and braced himself as an Oddish appeared before them, "Well...lets see. Pup, stare it down!"The Oddish shivered and unleashed small roots that snaked around Pup. Seeing Pup convulse before the roots fully withdrew Chrome called out, "Pup, call forth your fire!" The small Pokemon growled low before a small burst of flame issued forth to strike the opposing Pokemon down and fleeing back into the grass. Chrome rushed forward to overlook the small creature, "Well, that Absorb didn't do much damage to you...but to be safe we'll get you checked out at the PokeCenter in the City. Good job, my little Pup."He walked back onto the road and continued on his way, wondering which one of those others would reach there first... Chad was walking slowly, and he knew that Kadaj was going to say something, it was only a matter of when he was going to say it. Although Chad was slightly surprised to find out that Kadaj was just being cocky again. “Sorry, I’m not interested in your body like that. You could try hitting on another guy though, I’m sure you’ll find someone willing to deal with your attitude.” Chad pursed his lips before he could say anymore. He knew that he’d probably already crossed the line, but he just didn’t care at this point. Kadaj was arrogant and acted like the world revolved around him and news flash, it didn’t. It was too bad he couldn’t be more like some of the great people Chad looked up to. “I would like to battle you though. Just don’t, you know, go overboard with how confident you are because it only makes you look like a fool when it’s over.” Chad folded his arms and decided to continue walking since that seemed to be the end of their conversation. He stopped though when a different tone came from Kadaj’s mouth, one that made Chad believe he was being honest with him, almost as though Kadaj had given up hope. It was a bit strange that Kadaj was suddenly becoming less prideful, but when backed against a wall, people are willing to abandon a lot more than just pride for the sake of survival, especially when it came to others instead of themselves. “Alright, I’ll let your Poochyena stay at my place. We’re not fighting the moment it gets better though. Your Poochyena deserves to rest a little and then some. So does my Nincada. Whether you believe it or not, that Poochyena did manage to put a couple hits in and because of that Nincada needs to rest as well.” Chad sighed silently to himself. The last thing he wanted to do was go back to the house his father died in, but he really didn’t have a choice because of the Poochyena. The last thing he wanted to think about though was Kadaj and how much he disliked the way he acted to him. Chad never liked conceited people and Kadaj seemed to be the definition of it. Things were definitely going to pick up in terms of being a trainer once he left this village if he kept up what was going on for him though so far. He didn’t know where he would go, but he felt like it would probably be a good idea to have a partner for his journey. Maybe Kadaj could be that partner if Chad worded what he wanted correctly. He didn’t want Kadaj getting the wrong idea and him thinking that Chad only wanted to bring along Kadaj because he wanted some ‘male company.’ That would be quite an awkward situation to get into and out of. “Alright so what do you plan on doing once Poochyena is healed? You can’t just get into fight after fight and hope that everything turns out alright. You saw how that ended with Poochyena.” Chad folded his arms, trying to convey a stern figure, but in reality he was one of the nicest guys ever and was just looking out for Poochyena.

Kadaj remained seated as he took the tongue lashing from Chad. He did kind of deserve that for all the trouble and woe he’d put himself through. Of course, it always came down to who won, and by how apprehensive the Nincada seemed, Kadaj was almost one-hundred percent sure that he would’ve been the winner of that battle. He saw now though that there was no such luck, that it took pure strategy to out rule the competition. Sure, it didn’t seem very cool, but that’s what being a Pokémon trainer was all about apparently. Kadaj only wished that he knew that now. It was too late though; Poochyena was knocked out meaning that he couldn’t exactly go over strategies with him. Who knows though, maybe this is what Poochyena needed to get back in line and behave. “Next time I battle I’ll probably go overboard, but that’s who I am dude. I can’t change how I act just because of the wisdom coming from a newbie trainer.” Kadaj stood up and laughed aloud, trying his best to be really genuine right now. He didn’t want to seem like he was that defeated, where he’d take all and any advice given to him for the sake of his Pokémon because truth be told, lying would be a lot worse than just being straight up, no matter how undesirable the answer might seem. “Alright then, let’s try to figure out what to do with Poochyena and stop talking about what I should be doing to correct myself, alright man?” Once again, Kadaj smiled, thinking that he didn’t say anything wrong, and if you look at it through his eyes, he didn’t. He was just being real and voicing his mind, although he knew he should probably stop if he ever hoped to get some sort of treatment for his Poochyena who was lying lifeless in his arms. That kind of sounded awful as Kadaj thought about it, but nevertheless, he stuck to it. As dramatic as it sounded, it was the best he could come up with to describe how his Poochyena looked right now. Apparently it was still passed out, but then again, this was probably Poochyena’s first fight in a long time so Kadaj didn’t think too much of its unconscious state. “Alright I’ll give you Poochyena and his Poke-Ball. Whenever he’s better, could you please bring him back to me?” Kadaj weakly extended his arms in front of his body with Poochyena’s body lying in them. He didn’t really want to give his Pokémon away, but if it meant he’d get better, than it would be worth it. Call it a hunch as well, but Kadaj had a gut feeling that Chad could be trusted and that he would take care of Poochyena just like Kadaj would be willing to take care of him. “Remember, I’ll be sitting right here, even if it takes all night.” Kadaj paused for a moment and then decided to reply again, “Just, please don’t let it take all night.”

Myridia smiled serenly, "That sounds like fun..Tobren. Why don't you go see if you can offer help to that little Poocheyena, hmm?"
Tobren looked to his sister and smiled, "All right!"
Myridia walked a little ways away before turning back to the other girl with a smile, "Are you ready, Becca? Scyther's are rather tough Pokemon..."
As if to prove her point Razz showed off its blade-like arms with a glint to its eyes. Myridia softly chuckled at the bravado of the tall Pokemon, she could see its wings trembled with either excitement or fear was unknown to her.
"Razz...leer!" she called out. Razz glared at the smaller grass type ready to win for its Tranier.
Tobren heard his sister and chuckled; seeing the two other males he called out, "Hey guys! I think I can help!"
He came to a stop before the tall brown haired one, Necros somehow finding its way onto his head. Tobren straightened hoping that the two males wouldn't misjudge his intentions, trying to catch his breath the smaller male flopped down, "The name's Tobren Burrows..."

Chad really couldn’t figure out Kadaj in any way, shape of form. On one hand he seemed like a really sincere guy, the kind who would be really honest and knows exactly what he wants and how he feels about things, but on the other hand, he was stubborn and a bit of a showboat. Chad really liked the first kind of guy, but didn’t like the second so much. That made for a confusing mixture in his mind and he could tell if he was repulsed by Kadaj or attracted to him in some sort of weird way that would make any sense in the real world. He couldn’t allow himself to think about it right now though since Kadaj’s Pokémon needed to get some rest. Chad was slightly confused when Kadaj walked over with the Pokémon in his arms. Why would he be trying to hand the Poochyena over to Chad? “Whoa, I know I’m probably stronger than you, but making me carry your Pokémon? Come on, you’re not a lady, don’t make me be chivalrous.” Chad laughed at himself as he noticed that he took the Pokémon anyways, regardless of if he was doing something kind of a man or not. It was a bit strange to think that maybe Chad could potentially get to like this Kadaj guy over time. He would just have to learn to deal with his selfish attitude about life. Once Chad got over that hurdle, he knew that Kadaj and him could be really good friends. “Alrighty then.” Chad held then Pokémon in his hands and suddenly realized what Kadaj was getting at. Kadaj seemed to be expecting Chad to just leave him on the side of the road and wait for Chad to come back with his Pokémon. “Oh no buddy, you’re in this with me.” Chad handed the Poochyena back to Chad and pointed in the opposite direction of where Kadaj had been heading originally. “My house is in that direction.” Chad pointed to a long row of houses a bit further in the distance, but decided to not go there quite yet since a young looking man approached them with light green hair. “Or, well, he could help you with the Poochyena.” Chad folded his arms, a bit relieved that he wouldn’t have to go all the way back to his house, well, not now anyways. He didn’t know how long the kid would stick around with a personality as conceited as Kadaj’s that was being displayed right about now. ‘I wonder who this kid is? I saw him when I was battling earlier, but other than that, I’m pretty sure I don’t know anything about him.’ Chad shrugged to himself and decided to pace back and forth. He couldn’t tell this young man no since he didn’t know him, so it would be up to Kadaj whether or not he would want this young man near his Pokémon. “Well Kadaj, what do you think about him helping with your Poochyena?”

She thought to herself. Rebecca seemed pleased to start the fight, “Twirl and use string shot!” she called out. The tiny caterpillar appeared confused about the command, it squirmed and twirled its body as it shot a silky string from it’s mouth at scyther. A light breeze swayed the grass.
Becca smiled. “So, I can make you look pretty…” She muttered to herself. “Aright, use a tackled attack now!” Chic charged at the scyther full force. It may be a larger pokemon, but we still have a chance at doing well. ♦~♦~♦~♦~♦~♦~♦~♦~♦~♦~♦~♦

Myridia smiled, "Well that brings back memories...Razz dodge it and follow up with a quick attack!"
Razz narrowly avoided the smaller form, charging forward the larger creature smacked the Sewaddle with the back of its arm mindful of its blade-like front. The Pokemon felt pride at the happy smile Myridia wore, as Razz acted without her command. Razz slowed to a stop and remained knelt down watchful of the smaller Pokemon.
Tobren stood and lightly smacked his forehead, "Silly me. Let me explain myself better. My elder sister and I come from a family of Pokemon Breeders, Caretakers and Gardeners, so basicly tending to Pokemon is what I was raised to do...here..." the youth reached into the pouches gathered along his narrow waist. Pulling out a small cluster of blue berries he smiled at Kadaj, "Oran berries are one of the most common berries in any region...they're to refresh Pokemon in the wild...as well as with Trainers. I got plenty more and know how to find them in the wild if need be...and if your really worried about the little guy when my sister is done with her battle she can take a look at it for you..."
Tobren stood there a pleasant harmless smile on his face and innocence in his eyes. A small pale hand held several Oran Berries and he wasn't about to retract it anytime soon. Tobren mentally wondered about the two men standing in front of him. One seemed to be like the perfect protector, or big brother...the other seemed loud but harmless, as he most likely was rough around the edges from some hidden reason.

Kadaj didn’t know what to do at this point, so he decided that the best thing he could do was not pounce all over Chad and keep bugging him about how the status of Poochyena was since that wouldn’t exactly help with the situation. So the next best thing Kadaj could think of doing was staying out of Chad’s hair and just keep his concerns to himself and for results by the end of the night. However, when Chad gave the Pokémon back to Kadaj and mentioned that he was coming with Chad to his home, Kadaj couldn’t help but blush in a heap of nerves. He hid his face so that Chad wouldn’t see him blushing, but it didn’t stop Kadaj from speaking up about the situation. “Yeah well, don’t expect me to stay quiet when we’re at your house, especially with the state my Poochyena’s in.” Kadaj saw one of the people from earlier, if he remembered correctly, from the battle. He couldn’t say for sure since he didn’t care less about what other people looked like, so long as he looked good. The kid did look rather young though, probably a bit inexperienced or something of the sort, but then again, what did Kadaj really know when it came to ages? Half the time people got his wrong. He quickly pulled out a poke-ball and withdrew his fainted Poochyena back into before slipping the Poke-Ball into his pocket and turning to the kid who hadn’t spoken yet. “Huh? Who’s the little kid?” Kadaj turned to Chad then turned back to the kid with an eyebrow arched in slight confusion. When the person did mention though that he could help, Kadaj only knew that it must’ve meant the Pokémon. “Torben Burrows huh? Well kid, I don’t think we’ll need all that much help.” Kadaj snapped his fingers and then pointed to Chad, “Chad here is gonna’ take me to his house and let my little dude rest up.” Kadaj turned to Chad and smiled, almost as though he were still unsure about whether that were true or not. Either way it was something to think about. “Thanks Torben though. By the way, you were talking about my Poochyena right?” Kadaj would be lying if he said he’d never heard the phrase ‘I think I can help’ in a less than friendly way. He was a bit of a flirt but never took it too far, although right now that was really the last thing on his mind since his Pokémon was knocked out and he didn’t know the first thing about healing it. The best thing he could do at this point though was try and keep his mind clean and his thoughts pure, that is, until Chad was able to get his Pokémon up to tip form and everything was rolling smoothly again. To be honest though, he’d need to figure out some priorities because he’d never thought about Pokémon as something he’d sit in the cold for before.

There seemed to be a lot to mule over since this kid had showed up, or should Chad say Torben. He knew a lot about taking care of Pokémon, a lot more than he did anyways. Chad never was raised with a family of breeders and caretakers so he didn’t exactly know what it meant to help out in healing Pokémon other than the basic ‘letting it rest’ routine. However much Torben knew though wouldn’t be enough for whatever Kadaj decided what was best for his Pokémon. After folding his arms and watching the two exchange words carefully, Chad decided to chip in with some opinions of his own. He just hoped they would be reasonable enough for Kadaj since he was the one who was having his Pokémon looked over. “How about you have him go over your Poochyena? It wouldn’t hurt would it? Besides, it’s not like he’s going to do anything to harm it at this point since it already seems pretty beat up.” Wrong words to say to someone who seemed like they were about to flip out over their Pokémon. Chad pursed his lips and thought of a way to recuperate what he had just said so it didn’t seem like Kadaj was such a bad trainer, “What I mean to say is, if this guy really know a thing or two about Pokémon, then you should try and see if he can help you heal your Poochyena.” Chad turned to Torben and mouthed the word ‘sorry’ as a way of apologizing on Kadaj’s behalf. After realizing what he just did, Chad shook his head in disbelief. Why in the hell did he actually just apologize for Kadaj? It’s not like the two of them knew each other and if anything, Chad really couldn’t stand his brash personality, it really didn’t mix with his laid back demeanor. ‘This guy is meshing way too well with me, I need to just stop talking for the time being and start listening to what’s going on.’
Chad took several steps back since he didn’t seem to be playing a part in this conversation. He was simply the in between man in a scene that really didn’t involve him, or at least that’s how he saw it since that Poochyena wasn’t his. He could just leave now, but the fact that he couldn’t predict how Kadaj would act only made him a little more reluctant to leave. He didn’t want to see Kadaj taunting that young looking boy, nor did he want to see Kadaj argue with why taking the Poochyena to Chad’s house was any better either. Chad brushed his fingers through his hair and stretched, yawning as he did so. It was only afternoon now and although the sun was still rising, it felt like the day was pretty much through with him. He really wanted to get out of town today though, if that would even be possible considering the fact that Kadaj was very much going to be the judge of that.

It was becoming painfully apparent that both of the two guys here thought it would be wise for Kadaj to see about taking the oran berries or whatever it was Torben was holding in his hands; he’d forgotten because he was too cool to memorize labels. “Aw, come on dudes, what are we doing here? Berries won’t help this little dude,” Kadaj held up his poke-ball and waved it around in the air like that somehow emphasized who he was talking about. He didn’t like the idea of putting stray objects in his Poochyena’s mouth and just hoping they weren’t poison. He was still on board with the ‘going to Chad’s house’ idea because of his own deep desires that he hope could be achieved by spending one-on-one time with Chad. Of course, he had a feeling that Chad didn’t like him at all, considering the fact that he’d already expressed his disdain for the selfish needs of Kadaj. It’s not like he could help it though, he was who he was and he wasn’t going to change for anybody or anything. Torben looked up at his Poke-ball, suddenly confused about what he should do. If he went with Chad, there might be a chance that he could get to know Chad more on a one-on-one basis, but if he stayed here, he’d be able to heal up his Poochyena a lot more quickly, but at the cost of interacting with someone he’d had a slight crush on, if he even wanted to call it that. It was more of a bromance, yeah that’s the word. Kadaj admired Chad a lot more than he admired anyone else because he managed not to gloat about his victory every five seconds. “I don’t know what to do, let me think about this some more.” Kadaj scratched his head and racked his brain for more ideas, hoping that maybe he would be able to figure out how to find a solution to what he felt and what would be best for Poochyena. Either way he looked at it, Poochyena would need rest because it was severely injured. At the same time, he didn’t want to wait for Torben’s sister to get out of a battle so that she could look over the Pokémon. “Chad, I think we should go to your house okay?” Kadaj looked at Chad and then looked at Torben, blushing a little as he did so. “I just think that it’d be best for my little dude to get some rest outside of the Poke-ball for a bit. Also I can’t let some guy who just watched me lose show me mercy! Ha-Ha, I need to beat you in a battle first before I let you give me some sympathy!” Kadaj laughed aloud, reassuring everyone in the area that he didn’t want to choose anyone over the other, but in the way he wanted his Pokémon to be healed, he’d rather it be by the man who beat him instead of a person he just met a couple minutes ago.
