Naomi giggled turning her head back to Destiny. "It sure is-" Cutting her sentence midway Naomi blinked in shock as the Hufflepuff wandered off to greet someone else who had just arrived. She felt a little slighted by the action but didn't comment on it, she was probably trying to be a great hostess and let everyone know they were welcome. Feeling helpless for the moment Naomi glanced about the room, in search of something, anything to do while others were greeted.
Her eyes settled on a drink to the other end of the room where she swiftly moved to pour herself a glass. Turning back to the door she waited inside with a wave of her hand as people started arriving. Sighing mentally she often wondered if someone should take over greeting people for Destiny so she didn't feel overwhelmed like an exhibit at the door. Naomi was tempted to offer her assistance, before thinking better of it and sipping at her drink.

Destiny paused and took a breath..all this greeting may just tired her out a lot quicker, but so far she was doing alright. She glanced over at Maer "does it usually take your brother this long to get ready?" she asked out of curiousity. Before she glanced over at Naomi, she felt a little bad for leaving on her while she was talking, she bit her bottom lip slightly.
She would need to apologize to the poor girl when she had a moment. She couldn't really keep up with at least saying hi to every student that walked in. She fiddled with her braid as she watched students come in.

Louvenia shifted back and forth from one foo to the other and glanced around the room. Why was it soo hot and stifling hot in here? She noticed the one girl was moving over to the punch bowl and decided to go join her. It would probably be best to avoid Maer as much as she could.
Louvenia waited patiently as the other filled her cup and then followed suit. She took a sip of the punch and was pleasantly surprised by the fruity taste. It was actually rather good. "Umm..Hello, I don't think we've met. I'm Louvenia and you are?"
She asked turning to stick out her free right hand to the girl she was standing next to.

Lia hesitated, her hand poised on the door knob. Should she really be here, at the party of a Hufflepuff she didn't even know? Someone had been talking about it in the common room, and since she wanted to meet people it hadn't seemed like a terrible idea. She looked down at the package in her hand, reasoning that since she'd already wrapped it she might as well go in. Well... Here goes nothing! Amerilla turned the knob and swung the door open. "Hi! I'm Amerilla. But you guys should probably call me Lia," she nodded sagely.

Maergrethe frowned when Louvenia immediatley wandered off. That had been rather rude of her. Of course, she could tell that her roommate was rather nervous about being in at a party. That was why it had been so difficult to get her to promise to come in the first place.
She very nearly missed Destiny's question. "Liam? No not usually. I think he was just wanting to look super nice for you. " She said in a slightly teasing manner. "I think he's sweet on you. I imagine you've noticed that." She added.

Destiny nodded her head "yeah..I've noticed that very discrete but somewhat noticeable" she said before glancing over at Lia "Nice to meet you Lia, I'm Destiny...the birthday girl and this is Maer" she said "feel free to mingle and chat" she said gesturing her to come in before taking the present from her and smiling.

Sipping she moved back to Maergrethe intent on answer the question she had been asked earlier. Had she and her brother already been linked. Andrew barely spoke to her, and no one at Hogwarts had ever seen the pair together for more than a brief exchange. Smiling at Destiny as she joined the duo, and a few others. Sipping the drink Naomi shifted her right shoulder and smiled. "You look worn already, did you two need help?"

Destiny glanced at Naomi "if you don't mind switching off with Maer, every now and then it would be greatly appreciated" she put in. She glanced around so far it was only Hufflepuff,Gryffindor and Ravenclaw present.

Liam fretted over his hair for half an hour, trying to get the little parts that stuck up in the back to lay down. Of course nothing he used, water or gel would get it to lay down flat. Finally he gave up and got dressed. He put on his best dress pants, a white pressed shirt and a tie. He didn't know why he felt compelled to dress up so nicely but he figured most people would be dressing up for a party. At least his sister Maer had.
He examined himself in the mirror and rather liked what he saw, though his nerves were kind of getting the better of him. He hoped the party wouldn't get too loud and the other kids wouldn't be too overwhelming for him. Perhaps he should just stay for a little while. He imagined that Destiny would understand if he couldn't stay the entire time and his sister would probably explain to her if she didn't. That's one good thing sisters were for.
He slid his dress shoes on and picked up an oddly shaped and badly wrapped present and put it under one arm and made his way down the halls. It was rather hard to ignore all the whistles and cat calls he got from the older students. It really was getting absurd how these kids were treating him now knowing that he had feelings for Destiny. He was rather annoyed that anyone knew, but he wasn't going to take back his feelings or take out his annoyance on her. Especially not on her birthday. He figured if he took their treatment quietly soon they'd give up and leave him alone eventually.
"Here goes nothing..." He said to himself softly as he neared the room where the party was. He opened the door softly and slid in glancing around the room. He saw that there weren't too many people just yet.
"Happy Birthday Destiny, having a nice day so far?" He said blushing slightly aware that his sister and the other girls in the room were all watching.

Destiny blinked as Liam finally made an appearance she rushed over and gave him a hug , so glad to see him "Liam!! I thought you wouldn't come" she said before letting him go before he got flustered some more she held out her hands to the present "I'll take that off your hands" she said beaming, she discretely glanced over him. He looked pretty good,he should dress up more often. Though she was aware that he wouldn't stick around too long, he wasn't one to mingle in crowds for an extended period of time.

Naomi nodded her head politely. "Of course I wont mind doing that. That is if its ok with you Maer." The young Gryffindor had picked up on the girls shorter name and in a show of wanting to be friends had used it to. Giggling as a newcomer, the first boy, arrived with a blush. Glancing from him to Destiny she had a slight feeling there was a bit more there than a simple friendship. Unable to put the rest of the pieces together for the time being Naomi shifted slightly closer to Mear. "You know Andrew?" It had been a question from when she had been asked about him, though till now had not had the chance to talk about him.

Maergrethe couldn't help but smile at Destiny's comment. "Yes he does try to not show it unlike other kids. I think he doesn't like that other people are noticing. He's a much more private person than most." She told Destiny.
"Hello there Lia! Nice to meet you. I'm glad you could come!" Maer said with a bright smile.
"That would be great Naomi. Thank you for the help." She said shooting the girl a grateful smile.
That was when she noticed her brother quietly coming in the room. She couldn't help but smirk behind a hand at how dressed up he was. He had really gone all out for this party and for Destiny. "My my, You look handsome Liam." Maer said with a knowing smile.

Attor or as most would formally know him as Martin , made his way into the room he had been directed to for Destiny's party. He didn't really know her, but many had pushed him to go anyways including a teacher. They hope socializing would be good for him since he had had such a bad summer. He didn't really want to go, but there was nothing else going on and he liked any excuse to dress in finer trimmed clothes.
The real problem had been the gift, he had no idea what girls liked so he had ended up buying something he thought was interesting more then not. Luckily he was able to pay someone else to gift wrap it because his attempt would have been horrid.
Attor entered the room with a rather blank look on his face. The gatherings he was used to going were normally a very formal affairs with an ever present business like undertones. So really this was going to be strange and new for him. He held an elaborated wrapped package in his hands and was hoping that she would like the gift he had picked out for her since he had really never picked out a present for someone without his mother's help before.

Liam was rather stunned when Destiny rushed over and gave him a big hug. He stood there stiffly for a moment, rocking on his feet. "That's good to hear," He sputtered and tried to stop shaking. "Why would I not come? I've been looking forward to this day since I got your invitation." He told her glad to see that she was so happy.
"Umm..okay." He said letting the package go in her capable hands. He glanced around and noticed that he wasn't the only boy anymore. That was a relief. He tried to ignore his sister's comment. "You look pretty good yourself Maer." He told her with a smile.

"You bet!" Naomi cheered as she stood beside the two girls. She had a feeling they would probably be friends in time and that was a pleasant thought. She did like to help out where she could and if it meant giving Mear a break from time to time, she would. Smirking as the two girls seemed interested in Liam enough not to introduce her, Naomi turned to the next person to arrive. Attor! She wasn't sure how he was going to take her presence today, since they had only met once previously. That wasn't going to stop her from greeting him as a friend anyways. "Attor hey, oh it's so great to see you here." Glancing him up and down with her strong smile she noticed the present in his hands. "You even brought Destiny a gift, how thoughtful." Opening her hands to him she continued. "If you want, I can take it and put it with the other gifts and give you time to escape." She teased lightly.
