Shortly after discovering the black and orange shoes with wheels Rathie, our little hyper ball of energy, was out trying to learn to use them. Many tumbles and trips later he’s gotten the hang of them. It’s almost second nature now. His tiny wings flutter happily as he slowly half skates half walks down the sidewalk in a wide garden like area, the smells tickle his nose his eye are wide and alert, head tilted to the side listening for sound. It was a pretty day, the sun was pleasing. Giggling he purposely tumbles to the grass in search of that pretty Orange flower he just saw, finding it, he picks it and after smelling it, sneezing and blinking he tucks it behind his feathered ear for safe keeping and stands on his skates again. His pants already have a hole in them from falling. Looking ahead he eyes a large smooth area. Without thinking, well his skates did the thinking he’s skating towards the area. His mind flashing with images of him jumping in the area with the help of the curbs and rails here…
Getting to the first dip he attempts it and fails dropping in. This goes on for about an hour and finally he manages it! Rath squeals with joy and feeling accomplished, despite his dirty hands and knees, and skates away towards the sound of water. He’s burning up.Skating lazily towards the sound he stops and tilts his head rather suddenly.
“’Lo.”
He coos softly eyes quizzical as he eyes this creature lying on the fountain wall.
They had a long dark tail and hair that closely matched his colour, if not lighter. His red eyes blinked and then lit up. Colour! The creature was wearing the most splendid colour, it was nice lush green, much like the world around them at the moment.
“Pretty Colour!”
Giggling he skate and skids to a halt beside them. Wings flutter Happily again. He grins.
"Rathie."
He points to himself with both hands.

Anguis' eyes flash open as he hears something strang approach him, something on wheels. He sees and odd winged boy approach him, all smiles and bright orange clothes with odd shoes. "Hello..." the naga said warily, shifting slightly so he was sitting up, his tail still trailing out along the edge of the fountain. He looks down at his green clothing that covered his torso and then back at the boy. "Ah, thank you...Rathie. I am Anguis." he said, his words low and hissing, black toungue flickering as he spoke. His tongue tasted the air and found that Rathie smelled...delicious. At first anyways, then he picked up the bitter scent of his poison. There would definitely be no eating of this little bird child. Besides him being a rosin, he was also poisonous, and though bird was one of Ang's favorite foods, he decided it better not to try and get a taste of this one. He had a feeling that the nameless one would be upset if he did. "What are those?" he asked finally, pointing to the boy's wheeled shoes with one clawed finger.

A stone and metal man, a construct, many of the generic types that wonder Toxicity headed its way towards one of the street lamps that lit up the main park at night. It carried with it a bucket and a shoulder bag, from which it pulled out a rolled up piece of paper. It was a poster, and the construct grabbed a brush from the bucket, covered in glue, and pasted the posted onto the lamp post. Once done, it simply turned and left.
The poster reads:
Come one, come all,
To ... THE FIRST ANNUAL ALL HALLOWS EVE BALL!
A party and celebration of all things scarey
It will be held on the night of the 30th day of October at The Dance Club
The party is fancy dress, so put on your best costume and join the fun

Ora had decided to take A'Tuin on a walk. Or more like carry the turtle in his box and let him get some fresh air. As he wandered around feeling the grass between his toes the rosen though to himself. Spending most of his time sleeping he hadn't met many of the other rosen but he had a feeling there were more than just the few he had been introduced to. It was during these musing he noticed the note on the street lamp, one corner fluttering slightly in the light brezze.
Curiosity over came him and the komodo siddled closer to inspect the paper. Something about a ball? His mouth moved as he worded out the letters. The ball was a party and was a fancy dress? He puzzeled over that for a bit before the second part registered. Costume meant clothing and clothing could be a dress which meant that he was suppost to wear a dress? He wrinkled his nose at that though. "I don't wanna wear a dress..." the dragon murmured as he continued to puzzle over the writing. His mind wandered over the subjects of dresses and he wondered if those kilt things would be ok... he was sure he had seen a guy wear that before. Or maybe a sarong or something... he paced a little around the post as he pondered.

Kyler took a deep breath as he stared down at the bowl like half pipe of the skate park, it was a short trip off the edge and a long way down. He almost regretted making his way up the ladder to the top, doubt began to cloud his head, making him wonder if he could really do it.
He had found the book on skateboarding in the library, and found it intriguing, how you could move so fast anf feel like you were gliding. Kyler imidiately had run to the mall that day, and had a custom skateboard built for himself, as well as protective gear. The booked warned of the dangers, and the accidents that could happen, yet it just made Kyler want to try more.
Kyler had praticed all week, balancing, rolling, jumping. With his young fit physique and use of extra limbs, he found it easy to learn. But now he stood at the top of a half pipe, ready to throw himself off it and see what he could do with this board on wheels. Taking another deep breath, Kyler leaned forward and gravity snatched him right away, pulling him down the ramp. Kyler heart went into overdrive as the rush of the drop got to him. He was suddenly moving and rolled up the other side.
It was such a thrill, it was great, but Kyler now couldn't feel the pipe any more. Kyler had shot over the top of the half pipe and was on his way back down, backwards. Kyler instinctively flailed, which kicked the skateboard flying and Kyler hit into the ramp and slid down it like a crumpled pile of paper. He came to rest at the bottom of the pipe, and there he lay, a little hurt and winded, but he chuckled all the same. Kyler thought it was great, and couldn't wait to do it properly.

Krait made his way into the park. Normally he wasn't terribly interested in fields of grass, but the autumn leaves were turning their brilliant colours and Krait had ventured out of his house to take in the scent of rot and growing cold. He had a thick woolen coat pulled over his double sleeved shirt and a long white and black striped scarf wrapped many times around his neck and face. With his hands shoved deeply in his pockets, Krait kept a slow and conservative step. The teen was willowy and lanky and in the growing wind, he seemed as if the wind might pick him up off the pathand toss him around with the flurry of leaves in the air.
Krait caught sight of the one named Kyler rolling about the cement of a skatepark on a board and paused to watch quietly. Krait's blue-on-black eyes peered over the top of his scarf. Though he could feel his own breath hot against his cheeks, trapped as it was by the woolen scarf, the air aronud him was not yet cold enough for him to really see his breath in white clouds.

Absinthe frowned, her concentration on holding a bowl of steaming soup as she stroled her way through the park. She certainly didn't have any reason to be happy: Laudanum hadn't been feeling well recently, and he hadn't even gone outside in the longest of times! The chicken broth she carried was for him, heat fizzling off of it from the biting autumn temperatures. Of course, Absinthe had no tolerance for the cold: as usual, her patched jacket was on, thankfully a jacket in the daytime. One didn't have much need for wings when it was cold.
So enraptured was the young girl in her brooding that she didn't notice the older boy until she walked rght into him, causing herself to topple over and the soup to splash across the ground, splatters of it staining her outfit. At first, she blinked in confusion, then looked up with a wide eyed stare...and up, and up, and up. She'd never seen someone so tall before, except maybe the constructs.
It took a moment with an open-mouthed stare before Absinthe remembered her manners, pushing her glasses back into position on the bridge of her nose. "Uhm...I'm sorry..." she said, not really paying attention to her words so much as she was staring at the boy's tallness. But, of course, in order to quench her curiosity of how the boy came to be such a height, she would have to bring it up in a subtle, intellegent way
"...Wow: you're really tall."

Anguis was up and about that day too, bundled tightly up in a thick coat and a long scarf, his long pointed ears poking out from his scarf, reddish brown dreadlocked hair pulled back in a ponytail to keep it out of his tan face. His long, serpentine body was moving smoothly along the sidewalk of the park, brown/grey scales flashing lightly in the late afternoon sunshine. His black eyes roamed around the surrounding area out of idle curiosity. It'd been awhile since he'd been outside due to the chilly weather and the fact that he was a cold blooded creature. He hated being cold, but if he had stayed in his room for another day he would have lost his mind! He rounded a copse of trees and saw a girl his own age, and a very tall boy in the middle of the path ahead of him. he paused for a moment, tasting the air warily with his black forked tongue before moving forward to the group, curious.

Krait had been intend of watching the rolling of the skateboard on cement and the rolling of leaves on wind and had not seen the girl coming. She bumped right into him, and Krait, starled, jumped a mile in the air - or so it seemed. The girl splashed how soup all over her jacket and all over the ground. Krait stood stiffly staring down at the spilt soup, unconscious of the fact that his sinewy tail had decided to curl itself tightly around Krait's ankle. Eventually Krait raised his gaze and peered her in the face with his stark eyes. Tall? Krait let the word drift through his mind for a while before associating it to anything. "Yes." Krait replied carefully, unsure of what he ought to say. "Do you need help up?" Krait asked, offering the rudder on her tail as most would offer a hand. Krait's voice was quiet, barely audible through the layers of wool, but the tones of it were dusky, shy and peacable.

Absinthe looked from the boy to his tail, and then something clicked: "Hey, you're like Olivia, aren't you?" Entirely disregarding the fact that he had offered to help her up, Absinthe stood on her own, no longer sporting the bewildered look on her face and actually smiling, ignoring the stains on her sweater as well.
Once she had wiped the leaves from her backside, Absinthe proceeded to walk in a circle around Krait, seemingly fascinated by the boy. "Wow, you are like Olivia...only you don't do the weird 'ssssssss' thing...My name's Absinthe, by the way," she said, holding out a hand for the boy to shake. Confidence lay in her voice, as well as light, proving to be a suitable contrast to the other's speech, and for a moment, she was reminded of Laudanum and his quiet ways.
But, then again, what didn't remind her of Laudanum? If only she could remember what she had been doing for him at the time...

Finally deciding to make his move, Anguis moved forward as he saw the girl spill her hot soup. "Are you okay?" the naga asked, brushing a few stray reddish brown dreadlocks back from his face. He tugged his scarf down a bit so that he could speak and be understood. He turned his black eyes up to the taller boy and noted, with surprise, that he too was part snake. "Hey...you're a snake too." He pointed out, rearing back on his long tail, making himself taller so he could look Krait over. He had a tail too, black and white all over...but he had legs too...how strange! Unlike Krait, Anguis had no legs, only his long, thick tail that began at his hips.

Krait watched her apprehensively. He blinked languidly as she mentioned Olivia. "I used to lisp when I was younger." He whispered and shrugged slightly. When Absinthe offered a hand to shake he gripped her hand with his rudder and then let his tail curl arnud his leg again. "Hello Absinthe. My name is Krait." Krait averted his eyes and stared intently at the soup. He was being inspected, watched. She was so outgoing, so friendly. Krait felt as if he were empty like rain, felt like he was a shadow fading away in the wake of her light. He let out a small sigh and hazarded a glance up at her face.

Absinthe blinked, tilting her head as she was let go from the rather odd handshake. It was like talking to Laudanum, only worse, because she couldn't read the snake-boy at all, and she had no idea what he was thinking! "...Are you okay?" she asked, toning down her voice to make it a softer, sweeter sound that she knew Laudanum liked when he was feeling upset. However, before she could receive an answer, she heard another's voice, and turned around to face yet another newcomer.
The green girl stared this new boy up and down: he was about her height, and likely her age, but the moment her eyes trailed down, she blurted out, "You don't have any legs," not saying it as a surprise but rather as a simple fact, and it was a moment before she looked up at his face again.
"I'm alright, though I don't know if Krait is," Absinthe explained, looking back up to the teen. Maybe he felt more comfortable among his own kind, like Olivia...it was bothering Absinthe that she could not read him and find out. "And I don't think I'm a snake...I think I'm green, actually."

Anguis shook his head at the girl, now towering over her somewhat since he was raised up on his tail. "Not you, him." He said, gesturing towards Krait. he blinked at her observation that he didn't have any legs and looked down at his tail, and then down at the other twos legs. "Ah...no. I don't. I think it's better without." he said with a shrug, lowering himself to her height again. The ability to raise himself up so high was an ability unique to the mamba species. Most snakes could raise their heads off the ground like him, but the mamba family was able to raise up to 2/3 of their body length off the ground, making them extremely tall. He looked her over with black eyes, and blinked. "You're ah....very green." he pointed out, unsure of what else to say about the other girl, besides the fact that she now smelled strongly of soup. He glanced back at Crait from under his reddish brown bangs, curious about this quiet other. Was he anything like Anguis himself?

Krait glanced first at Absinthe and then at the newcomer. He fonud his ntural instinct to run and hide and cleared his throat. "I'm fine..." He watched the black mamba rise up and then lwer himself to a more reasonable height. WAtched and inspected by two now... Krait felt like screaming or crying or running away. He took a deep breath. Yeah, I'm a snake. A Sea Krait." He replied, hunching his shoulders to further bury his face in his pile of woolen foulard.
