Kale's first Journal Entry Tje sound of the steady sound of Emer's typing filled the silance behinde the sound of a CD full of childern's songs that filled the aprtment. The sound paused as Emer looked up from her laptop like she often did to see how Kale was doing. She blinked as she relized he had found the journal she had gotton for him for later when he learned how to draw, his box of crayons out and laying on the table. "Kale, sweety, what are you doing?" Kale looked up and grinned, "You said this was to put my memories in. See, this is Ligiea's bed, and the bloks I built with, and his yukie critter sanwhich and my yummy vegi-tables." Emer smiled and shook her head. "Alright, it looks good sweetheart." She mummred, leaving him to his drawing.

Emer yawned wide as she set the bowel of ceral down on the kitchen table for Kale, a couple of drops of milk sloshing out and falling onto the table top. She handed Kale a spoon and turned to grab a can of coke out of the fridge. Sweet, sweet caffine. There was nothing in life better then a cold can coke. She turned and sat down next to him with a couple of slices of toast, and when he looked up at her and smiled with a little milke running down his chin Emer couldn't help but chuckle softly, and grabing her digital camrea snapped a quick shot before whiping his face up.
"So, what shale we do today?" Emer mummred softly. There were so many things he had no idea about since up until this point he had been in that chamber thing growing under the careful watch of the Techs to make sure everything was alright before being let loose on the world.
Emer nibbled on her on her toast as she watched him dunk the cheerios under the milk and watch them come up again. His little tail swishing back and forth as he played his little game, delighted that they kept coming back up all the time.
She smiled, letting him play as she turned her gaze to her still mostly unpacked boxes, looking for insperation. Her eyes settling on a box that Kale must have gotton into. It only had books in it, all differnt kinds, but the books where now spread around on the floor around the box, the one with pictures opned and the ones with only text left closed and set to the side.
She smiled, at least now she had an idea, "Kale?" She asked, turning to the small boy. "How about we go to the libeary today?"
Kale looked up, distracted from his cereal for a moment. "What's li-br-re?"
"Li-bra-ry." She rempeated more slowly, drawing out the word so he would hear how it was pronounced properly. "It is a building with lots and lots of books, and lots of them have pictures to looks at. They will even let us borrow some of them and bring them home for a little bit."
His eyes slowly got wider as she explained where they where going to be going. "YAY!" he immedatly slide off the chair running to stand by the door. "I'm ready!" he cried excitedly.
Emer smiled and shook her head, "Not exactly buddy, we need to wash you up and get you dressed." She went and got a damp washcloth and pulled him over to the couch to give him a quick wash. He squirmed and tried to pull away the entire time. Once he was clean to her satishfaction She had him slip on a pair of baggy dark grey shorts that came just past his knees and a loose white tank top.
"Can we go now?" he asked, his ears switching from ridgedly up to laid down and back agian.
Emer couldn't help but laugh as she found the keys to her car, "Yes, yes, we can go now. But there are certain rules we have to obey, like we have to talk really softly when we are there and absoulitly no running."
He nodded, "Alright, alright....."
--------------
Kale's eyes where huge as Emer lead him into the library. There where so many books! How could they have so many? It was impossable....wasn't it? He looked up at his Momma with huge eyes. "Can I go look?" He whispered softly, remmbering what his Momma told him earler.
She smiled down at him, ignoring some of the strange looks they got. Kale wasn't exactly your normale looking kid, and she was diffently not your normale looking parent. "Just a sec hin, they have a spicale floor with books just for you."
Emer didn't think it was possable but Kale's eyes got even bigger. "There is a floor with books just for me?" He whispered in awe.
Emer chuckled as she lead him over to the elevator letting him push the buttons she pointed to. Then she lead him over to the small children's section. There where a few stuffed animales and some puzzles scattrted about, things kids could play with quitely. Emer lead him over to the section of picture books, "Go ahead, pic out as many as you like, and when your done looking at them we'll bring them back and get some more."
Kale staired at the rows and rows of books. His fingers slowly moving over the spines of all the differnt books. He sighed happily as he started to pull books off the shelf. There was one on colors and animales.
Emer smiled as she left him for a moment to go pick out a couple of story books for bed time. When she came back she had to pause in suprise. Kale had a mountan of books next to him and he was still adding to it. She sighed as she knelt down next to him. "Kale... that's too many for the first trip. We can come back and get more..."
Kale looked up at her confuised, "But you said I could get as many as I wanted..."
Emer chuckled as she ran her fingers threw his mowhawk.

A child is expected to know certain things at certain ages. In order to obtain rights to their Dragon(egg), they must prove they can meet these requirements. The following sheet is for your child to fill out, with mild help from their guardian, then sent back to D-corp. (PM ot the mule) Also any changes, even minor such as haircuts, should be reported to the D-corp to be logged and filed. Thankyou, The Boss.

((MSN PD with Kale & Keanu)) 'Not Quite a Class' Quote: A huff escaped the boy as he idly kicked at the floor a few times. He wasn't wearing shoes of course, he tended to hate the things. Too stuffy. But his mum insisted on him having something. So wraps. They weren't really all that much better than shoes though, now that he thought about it. Oh well, what could be done, as long as mum was in charge, well he didn't get a choice on this one. She'd beenvery strict about that. So it was listen, or stay inside all of the time. Frankly, the idea of being locked inside bothered him a lot more than dealing with footwear ever would. So... Well that was how it was. Though he didn't see the point in it... He never cut his feet when he didn't wear shoes... So what was the big deal? The boy's ear twitched, rousing him from the thoughts that had emerged due to a rising boredome. Hearing guided his eyes too... No... No one he knew. Which meant he was still stuck here. A sigh escaped him, and he crossed his arms in annoyance. This wasn't fair. He had to always stop training when his mum needed to take him somewhere, but the adults could be late to come get him? He could have been home by now if they'd just let him go on his own, but if mum found out... Well then he really would have a problem. She'd finally learned how to ground him after he'd tried to climb onto the roof from the balcony in the attic. He'd just wanted a better view... But the point was, he didn't like being grounded. And so he felt it in his best interest to avoid it... But staying here was so utterly boring. Glancing off to the side, he eyed the doors to the d.corp building for a moment, before glancing out to the empty outer area. Yea... That was enough of that. Quickly turning on his heel, he pulled open a door, and headed back into the building. He didn't feel like waiting any long; it felt like it had been forever, and there was bound to be somewhere fun he could hang around indoors. He walked along down the hall, crossing his arms behind his head while thinking. What to do... What to do... Well... He paused, recalling something interesting here. Hadn't he been in that one classroom that was like a jungle a while back? The one with the little balls hidden around it. That might work... It was big, and plenty of things to train on. He just... Needed to find it... It didn't take too long though. Just wandering around until he found the familiar hall, and the door. He quickly tested the door, seeing if it was locked, and happily found it open. Perfect, now he had somewhere to hang out until one of them showed up. Pushing the door open, he walked in, and glanced up at the high glass ceiling above. It really did seem more like the outdoors, than the indoors in here. Why couldn't his house be like that? Closing the door behind him, he started walking in, trying to decide just was to do. He hadn't really explored the whole room yet. The last time he was in here he'd spent most of his time under the bushes, hunting for the ball. "Hmm..." Quote: Kale stepped into the room, Emer was right behinde him. His momma stayed by the door as Kale moved father into the lush tropical room. He had wanted to come and play for a bit. Emer sat down with her laptop to contuie her work as Kale got to run about and play. He walked futher into the room, pausing to look at one of the flowered bushes, blucking a large blue one and started to munch on it as he moved. Pausing at the pool and frowing when he relized he couldn't get into the water. He sighed as he sat down, looking around as he nibbled on his little snack. Quote: The boy had wandered in past some bushes, and trees before realizing he had. Well he was out of sight now, so if anyone came in he wouldn't get yelled at immediatly at least. He crouched down, eyeing the bush before him for a moment, before dismissing it as nothing. Maybe there where some exotic type sof plants in here. Not that he'd really know if one was, but he could try to spot one. It would be pratice for... Observing... Rare things! Yes, that was it. He finally smiled, starting to move along into the bushes, while watching each bush, shrub, weed, anything that seemed alive. Nothing looked all that special though, just... Green stuff. Well, obviously Keanu wasn't an expert on this subject. The boy frowned; his tail lashing out sharply behind him, and hitting a nearby bush. That idea wasn't going to work obviously... He took a moment, musing over what to do with himself, and suddenly froze. He glanced over as the sound of something moving caught his attention, trying to spot whatever it was. But it wasn't near enough to be seen, and well... It didn't seemt o be heading for him .So he was safe? Well that was good, but... What was in here? The boy knelt down, a smirk crossing his features. He'd have to find out. Sneakily. For when he had to infiltrate the lair of some evil creature, this would do very well for training. He pushed into a bush, shoving the branches out of his way as he moved in the direction the noise had gone, pursuing whatever it was his target was. He had to move somewhat fast so not to be left behind, which meant he made some snapping noises in the bushes as well. Of course, he assumed he was being nice, and quiet. It was funny how things could be turned backwards in his head like that. Finally his target seemed to stop ahead, or at least the noise did. He peeked up, out of the bush, eyeing the space ahead. What he was aw... Yellowish? No goldish, and brown. What kind of thing was this? Well certainly it was another kid... But... what kind? Quote: Kale's ears perked up twtiching as the small sounds alrted him to another's presances. His head twisting to look back in the diractions of the sounds, stumbling as he bolted away from the sounds. Quote: The boy tilted his head to one side as the creature before him started to turn to look at him, or tried to. They'd also started to run. Why where they running? He wasn't going to hurt anyone... But then again, maybe stalking after them did make it seem like that... Well, too late for that now. He'd just have to catch them if he wanted to know what the other was, right? He quickly stood up fully, and pulled his scarf loose of a twig it had gotten caught on. Before darting out of the bushes after the other. This was speed training! Wow, he was getting to do a bunch of different areas of training today. This was a good room. A grin spread along his face has he pushed himself to move faster, hurrying after the creature before him. He didn't look that much younger than he was. So why was he afraid? The kid was a little shorter, or at least that's what he thought. He'd find out if he ever managed to catch the boy, right? Which meant it was time to run as fast as he could. "WHY ARE YOU RUNNING!?" Well what else would he ask. Though yelling did make one lose their breath when they where trying to sprint. Oh well, maybe it would be worth it, and the other would slow down, or stop... Quote: He tripped and stumbled, rolling along the on the ground, the soft grass easing the fall. He sat up, breathing deeply as he blinked and looked back towareds the voice, seeing the snow lepored and smiled. He breathing slowed as he relized it was a possable friend rather then a faceless monster thing making noise. He waved, "You scare me!" The grass had cushioned most of the fall, but there was a small scrap that started to bleed a little on his knee. Quote: The boy suddenly had to try to stop as the other slipped, and fell, rolling a few paces before coming to a stop on the grass. Though that very grass caused the leopard a good deal of trouble as he attempted to halt himself. When he did manage to stop completely he nearly fell over forward, having to wave his arms to remain balanced. Though as he rocked backwards he failed in his attempt, and ended up on his bum on the grass. So much for grace... Thankfully it didn't hurt him too much, just a bump, grass was a fairly good cushion. "Scared you?" He asked, tilting his head to one side, and shifting to get back to his feet. Shame wasn't part of Keanu's worries list, and so he wasn't the least bit embarrassed about his fall. "I didn't mean to, I was just wondering what was in this room... I didn't know anyone was here..." He replied, rubbing the back of his head with one hand, and grinning slightly. Well, at least the boy didn't think he was going to eat him. Which he wasn't, that would just be bad. He eyed the kids odd hairstyle a moment, before turning his attention down to his feet. Those weren't toes. At least not like his... His unconciously curled his own toes as he thought that, before noticing a thin bit of red on the others knee where the cut was. "Eh... Did you do that cause of me running after you?" He asked, leaning forward on both of his hands, to see if it was anything bad. When he got cuts, usually it was something deep, because small things had trouble getting through his thick coat. Thus, his cause for worry. "I'm sorry about that..." He mumbled, ears drooping slightly. He didn't want to be hated because he accidently made someone fall... Quote: Kale blinked and looked down, carefully whiping at the small scrap whith his black tipped fingers. He smiled up at the other boy and shook his head, "It no hurt much.... stopped bleading too." There was a bit of red smeared on the short golden and brown fur, but not much and no new blood had appeared. "Is okay, Momma says gra-it-ey don't like me." Quote: Keanu watched as the other dealt with the scrape rather simply. Well, at least he didn't seem angry about it, infact he was smiling. Which caused Keanu to mimic the behavior as the other spoke. "I'm glad." He replied, leaning back again, his tail waving idly behind him a moment, as if he was thinking. Blinking as the other spoke. "Oh? Gravity..." He laughed. "It doesn't like me much either then." He replied, pushing himself to his feet finally, seeing as how the whole catastrophe was over. "By the way, I'm Keanu." He said, looking down at the boy. "So... Who, and um... what are you?" He asked, not the least by shy about pointing out that Kale had some rather unique features to him as well. Though most of Keanu's interesting markings where covered by the clothes he wore. He didn't like shoes, but he liked not having to dig things out of his fur at night, so clothes tended to help with that. Kept him that small bit cleaning. He just needed ons that weren't so loose as to get caught on things. Quote: He rocked back and forth, his tail whiping back and forth. "I am Kale, and Momma says I am girr-giraffe." It took him a couple trys to get the word to work right with his mouth. Quote: His ear flicked forward again as the other spoke. A giraffe? What in blazes was that? 'Whatever this kid is!' The boys brain chimed to him happily, and that was enough to sedate the incredulous voice in his head. "Oooh... I've never seen a Giraffe before..." He replied, mentally forcing the boys image together with the idea of a giraffe. For future use. He might need to know what one was. "It's nice to meet you, Kale." He replied, all to respectfully for his character. It was just a habit to responsd like that, something his mum had been forced to work long, and hard to get stuck in his brain. Eventually it had paid off. "Sorry about scarring you, again." He added, tilting his head to once side. "I just thought maybe you where... Ya know... Something else." He added, shrugging. Innocent mistake, it could be forgiven. Of course, it was his nature to jump to the conclusion that any noise he couldn't identify could be a new obstacle to overcome, so... Maybe it wasn't so innocent. He had a habit for looking for trouble, and it only found him in the form of Raja's lectures usually. Nothing exciting ever seemed to happen around here... Quote: Kale laughed as he rolled onto his back, looking up at the cloulds threw the glass cleaing above them. "I thought you something else also. Something scary, but you not. I like you you fun." He tilted his head as he watched the fluffy white objects float by. "That one kinda look like you." He pointed to a cloud with shadows dappling it with dark spots. Quote: The boy quirked his head slightly to the side, ears laying against his head as the other suddenly laughed, flopping backwards onto the ground. What was so funny about him mistaking things? It had ended up with both of them falling over. Actually... That was a bit funny now that he thought about it, minus the part where Kale had hurt himself a little... He joined in with a light chuckle after the other's comment, pausing to reply, though the amused grin remaining on his face as he spoke. "Well I'm happy to hear that, I'd much rather have people think I'm fun, than scary. Unless they're bad people, then I have to fight them so they can't hurt anyone!" He declared confidently. Before looking up at the persons new reference. Clouds... He was like a cloud? Big, and fluffy white, with a few dark splotches... Actually that wasn't too far from the truth. The boy wagged his tail slightly, grinning. "Yeah, you're right. I didn't really know clouds could have spots..." He replied, shrugging. "But... Haruki said that you can learn something new everyday if you pay attention. So I guess that's the new thing for today." Quote: The toddler looked over at Kenue his eyes wide, "You can only learn one new thing a day? I learn lots of new things everyday. Momma took me to a li-bra-ee and there was all these books, she said I could take as many as I wanted, but then said we couldn't take them all....." Kale seemed to say all of that in one breath, pausing to take a breath. Quote: Keanu shook his head, brow furrowing. "No... Well..." He paused thinking a moment. Haruki would never limit it to one thing a day, he liked to read more than anything. "I think... He means you learn at least one new thing a day?" The boy finally stated, grinning, and snapping his tail in one direction, before nodding. "That must be it, Haruki would never ever say you could only learn one thing a day." He added, nodding a few times. "And lots of books?" He asked, pausing, and closing his eyes a moment. "Sounds like Haruki's room. Lots, and lots of books." The boy mumbled, grinning. "He let's me borrow the ones I want, so it's a good room. So you call rooms with a lot of books a library?" The boy had heard the word before, which explained why he said it properly. He just never knew what itreally meant until now. Though Haruki had sometimes said, when he was angry with someone in the house, that he was going to the library, and that it would be quiet there. Other than that, the red head rarely went out. He didn't like socializing much. "So you like reading books too?" He asked, grinning, back onto something he enjoyed more. "Which ones? I like the ones about old things that people say aren't real, but I know they are!" He exclaimed, nodding a few times. "And I'll prove they're real too!" Eventually... Quote: Kale grinned big and nodded as he got up, sprinting over to where Emer sat grabbing something before running back. The scrapes on his knee completely forgotton. He flopped back down next to Keanu the binding and cover was in white leather and it had gold writing. Fairy Tales was the name of the book. Carefully almost revently Kale opned the book to show the other child all the colorful paintings of the differnt stories. The picture book was filled with water color paintings, each rich and colorful. "Momma said becuse I like books so much I could keep this one, it's my favorite." Quote: The boy glanced up as the other got up, then darted off without a word. Then the noise of someone coming back, and here was there again, with a book. Faerie Tales... The boy's ears fell, not in a bad way, just simply in an 'Oh', as a sense of nostalgia threatened at the edge of his mind. He'd read a lot of those books when he was younger, now he read ones with more words though. "Ohh, I used to read that sort of stuff lots." He mumbled, before grinning, and looking at the images curiously. "It's pretty, so many colors. My books like to describe things with words..." He paused, shaking his head. "Well actually Haruki's books... But the ones I read. But those are pretty, the few books with pictures in them usually don't have such colorful things." He mumbled, watching the books book curiously. "I don't really have a favourite one... I really just like them all." He mumbled, grinning. "Each explains things a bit different, so they're all good." He added, sitting back again, and tilting his head to once side. "You know?" Quote: Kale carefully closed the book and nodded, "I like them all too. But I can't read yet, so I like the ones with pictures best. I can look at them by myself. I like to do stuff myself. When I do that makes me a big boy." He grinned proudly. Quote: "Mum thinks I'm a little kid." The boy replied, frowning with a sigh. "That's why I'm stuck here. She won't let me go home alone..." He mumbled, tapping at the ground with one hand, then grinning. "But I'm not! I'm going to be a hero soon, like in all of the books! That's why I read so much, to learn!" He said eagerly, and leaning back a bit, before forward again. "I do a lot of stuff on my own, like my martial arts classes." He replied, nodding. "I practice a lot on my own. And I read, and sometimes make my meals. Though mum doesn't like that..." He mumbled, shrugging. "But I want to go on lots of adventures, so I have to be able to take care of myself. Mum just won't see that yet, she thinks I'll hurt myself whenever I do something..." He added, sighing, and shaking his head. "She didn't like that I wanted to take up martial arts much. But she let me." He added, smiling. Obviously Raja was't all bad, just... A bit of an annoyance to him at times. "Still... She won't let me try learning how to use a sword like a real knight... But I'm going to find a way, because that's what a hero would do. They never give up, so neither will I!" He obviously was quite proud of his convictions. Well, diligence was certainly something to be proud of, right? As long as it was for a good thing, and not to hurt people. Quote: Kale's dark eyes where wide as he listned to Keanu's speech, he grinned and nodded. "Wow, your going to be a hero, like in the books? Wow that is so cool." The griffe boy was near to having the fan boy hearts in his eyes, he could see Keanu in shinning white armor and a sword. Quote: The boy nodded. "Yep, like in the books." He replied, crossing his arms. The grin on his face said he had all the confidence in the world that was he said was true, as did his posture. He knew what he wanted, and people said... That if you worked hard enough it would happen. Well he certainly worked hard to make it happen. Right? He worked hard enough certainly. "Mum just can't see it yet." He said again, but shook his head. "But she will. Soon." He added, nodding. "I'm going to save princesses from danger, fight the bad monsters, and save kingdoms! Just like in the books. Evil, and bad things will fear me, and I'll find them even if they run! I'll make the world a good place for people!" He exclaimed, obviously easily excited when talking about this subject. He glanced back at the other boy, smiling, managing to recall that not everyone wanted to hear about everything he planned to do. Oh, he was starting to notice that people where more than just future people to save. "Don't you have plans for the future? I know what I'm going to be, so many you do too?" Quote: Kale looked down thinking about it for a minute. "I like to put things together. Momma gives me bits to play with. Once I even put it together soa light urned on the board. But then Momma took away that pieace away and I hven't been able to do it again. I want to play with her com-put-er, but she won't let me look at it."He looked up at him and grined, "Dos that count? Is that a plan?" he asked. Quote: The boy seemed to muse over the answer a moment, before nodding. "So you're gonna be one of the people who puts stuff together. That's neat." He said, seeming to try, and find the name. "And inventor?" He asked, hoping he'd gotten it right. Such things sometimes came up in discussions at the house, wether they be regarding him, or not. Usually not. The conversations tended to be between his mum, and the red head. But sometimes included others. He just... Listened. While practicing his martial arts. "I've never made a light turn on without the switches on the wall, or a string thingy on a lamp." He replied, shrugging. "Mum says I'd be bad at making stuff, cause I'm usually breaking it. But I don't mean to, it just... Get's in the way of my practice..." He mumbled, glancing off again. Obviously his flaws weren't his favourite thing, but they didn't keep him down. The boy was back to smiling, and being curious once again. "My mum never let's me near her computer... Well it's a laptop actually. But she says it's for work only. So I guess I have to find some hero work that requires one to be able to use it once. Maybe the same rule applies with your mum's one too?" Quote: Kale put his chin in his hands as he thought about it, "Maybe, but I still want to look inside of it. I want to see how it works. I want to know how everything works." Quote: He blinked, rubbing his head slightly. "Ohh well..." He glanced down. Raja would never let him take apart her computer. Use it maybe, but pull it open? He knew the answer to that without thinking about it. "I see, well I don't think most people would let you pull things apart?" He asked, looking a little confused with the whole idea, before giving up on it. Keanu wasn't the biggest thinker, his determination, and hardworking nature are what earned him more respect. "But understanding things is good! You'd like Haruki, he knows how lots of things work!" He explclaimed, nodding. "Haruki reads about all of that stuff in books. He says there are ones that explain why people act like they do." He added, happily. Psychology books specifically, which was odd... If they did explain people, why didn't Haruki like being around them more? People seemed nice enough. The red head was always upset when it came to them though. "I bet he'd explain things to you if you asked him." The boy added, oblivious to the fact that there wasn't a good way for the other child to meet who he spoke of. Haruki lived there, it was a part of life that he showed up out of his room every so often. As simple as that. Quote: "Really? Do you think that he would really tell me how things work? Momma won't let me open her computer up. Every time I start to she catches me and I get in trouble." His lower lips stuck out a little as he pouted some a the thought of never being able to take her computer apart. Those things always fascnated him. He had already taken apart some clock work toys Emer had given him, and her VCR, andDVD player. She seemed more upset ovr those things. Maybe it was a good thing that he hadn't been able to take apart the computer yet. Quote: He nodded. "Absolutely, Haruki loves talking about things that are interesting. Explaining things, and stuff. He taught me a lot about mythical creatures." The boy replied, smiling happily. He knew he had to be right, with the way the room was set up. As well, the older male could always state which page the information was one. That usually baffled Keanu, but if he had a question that Raja couldn't, or wouldn't answer... Well asking Haruki usually got the information. He knew everything. Or seemed to anyway. "Just gotta ask him, or he won't talk. He doesn't like people much." The boy explained, nodding once. The other was a hermit of sorts, hiding in the room unless he was called upon. Or he was in the kitchen preparing a meal. The boy mentally noted that he was a bit hungry, he hadn't brought much of a snack with him today, and now he was stuck here for a while. "But he's nice if you act nice." He added, recalling the many times he'd managed to snag sweets that Haruki had baked for one reason, or another. He never asked, he just snuck out a cookie here, a brownie there, that sort of thing. "But you gotta learn to read! Cause Haruki's books don't have many pictures." Quote: Kale nodded, there where many books that didn't have pictures. Ones that didn't have any at all. He had seen them.He wondered what kind of screats those one had. "I know my letters!" He told Keanu hoping that that was a start. Emer said it was, and he Miss Katshowed him how to spell his name an Emer helped him practice. "Hey boys..." A soft voice intrupted thier conversation. "Snack time, here Kale.." She handed the boy a baggy fullof apple slices and carrot stics.Kale's eyes got huge as he took the baggy. She smiled over at Keanu, offering him a similer baggy. "Would you like some too?" She had the hestant deminer of someone that hadn't spent much time around children, but was trying. Quote: The boy nodded. "That's where I started. Learning the alphabet, then I learned to read a bit. Haru's books help a lot for getting better." He replied, giving up on calling the fellow by his full name. Almost everyone shortened it anyway. He'd learned the letters using the sheets given to him by the teacher... Kat was her name. After he'd learned those it got easier. Haruki seemed pleased that he had known how to read. And willing to help improve that. That's why Keanu assumed the red head liked teaching people things. Ears perked at the new voice, and sky colored eyes turned in the direction it came from. "Eh?" Oh snacks... He didn't really watch until the other spoke again, holding out a similar bag to him. Fruits, and vegetables. Not something he usually ate, but when you wanted a little something to chew on before dinner, you didn't complain. "Thank you ma'am." He said respectfully, accepting the bag happily, with a wag of his tail, and a grin. She acted funny, like... Haruki when he met new people. He didn't really talk to them either, just lurked out of the way. Maybe the man wasn't so odd afterall. Certainly if there where more people like him, then he couldn't be, right? Quote: Emer looked like she was about o say something but closed her mouth and smiled instead. She rose, patting Kale on the head affectonitly as she pulled a lock of her short hair behinde her ear. "Thank you Momma." Kale mummred as he happily munched an apple, his ears twitching so fast they looked like they where vibrating. She grinned at the two of them, "Your both very welcome." She mummred softly as she left the two to go back to her spot. KAle grinned over at Keanu, "That's Momma, she is nice!" Quote: Keanu opened the bag, pulling out a carrot, and nipping off a chunkof it at the woman smiled, and then moved back in the direction of the door. He didn't say anything as he'd been taught not to chew with his mouth open. One of those rules Haruki had about giving out snacks to Keanu. He was a bit of a clean freak, and speaking with food in your mouth tended to well... Make a mess sometimes. As well it wasn't pretty to see. After swallowing he nodded in agreement. "She seemed real nice, my mum's nice when she's not worrying." He replied. "Your mum is more quiet than mine, mine's always yelling." He added, flicking an ear as if an echo of her voice threatened to cry out at the moment. Haruki gave a sigh as he wandered the halls. 'Irresponsible idiot...' He thought to himself, recalling the excuses Issale had been making. Something about this, and that. He hadn't really listened, it didn't interest him, and the result was the same. He had to go pick up the Uncia Uncia... He turned the hall, rounding the corner. That class Keanu liked was around here right? He'd assumed the child would go somewhere he enjoyed if he wasn't waiting out front, and well... The boy had been so excited after this one... He figured it was a good place to start. Spotting the door the map had indicated as being the one, the redhead opened the door, eyeing the area to see if the boy was there. Well... No, just a lot of trees, and a person. "Excuse me, have you seen an Uncia Uncia recently?" He asked, not bothering to question if the other would know the creatures scientific name off the top of their head. Everyone knew things like that. Or should anyway. Quote: Emer looked up and blinked at the red head, "Ummm, well. Not sure about that. But there is a snowlaporedboy a little futehr in playing with my son." She pointed towareds the little clearing not to far in. "Could that be who your looking for?" Quote: There was a moment of silence from tall man, then a sigh. "Yes... The uncia uncia." He replied, quickly turning, to go in that direction. Apparently... That one didn't know what he spoke of. Oh well, he'd been right, and found the boy. So it didn't matter, in, and out. Off he'd go, and then it would be done. "Excuse me, and thank you." He replied, glancing of his shoulder, not that the woman could make eye contact, for the side of his face that had turned was covered by locks of red hair. It didn't look like it had fallen either, it was meant to be that way. There wasn't anything wrong with his eye, or face really, he just liked it covered. He walked into the clearing, spotting the pair, and mumbling the other creatures species under his breath. "Giraffa camelopardalis... They come in a lot of shapes..." He'd met the Agapornis roseicollis briefly, and had assumed as much. But now it was simply more finalized. "Keanu, you shouldn't wander off like that..." He said obviously not the most thrilled with having to hunt the boy down. Quote: Kale's eyes windend as the older boy begain to scoled Keanu. "He was playing with me. I showed him my book!" He held the white leather bound book at the red head, hoping that would explain why Keanu was not where he was and his new friend wouldn't be in trouble. Quote: Both ears perked at the noise, and Keanu glanced over his shoulder to spot Haruki. Oh, so he was here to come get him? The boy opened his mout to reply, but remained silent as Kale spoke instead in his defense. "That may be so, but what was he doing in here to begin with?" Came the red head's voice as he crossed his arms, looking at Kale. "He should know better than to wander around when others are coming to find him." "Well you where late, Haruki." Came Keanu's reply. He smiled, glancing at Kale. "This is Haru who I was talking about." He pointed up at the older male. Haruki gave Keanu a quick glance, before looking at the boy. "Issale was late actually, I came in his place. And why were you talking about me?" Yes, he didn't feel like dealing with kids a lot, why would he want to be brought up in a conversation with one of them? "Kale wants to know how things works!" Came the reply, which only received a blank stare from the anti-social male. Haruki didn't mind teaching, but not to little kids who wouldn't even understand what he was talking about. Defiitely not. Quote: Kale's eyes widned in awe as he looked at Haruki, so this is the one that knew stuff? Kale rose, and walking over to him, "Will you teach me? Show me how it all works?" Kale looked around and frowend, "Momma gives me things to play with, but she didn't bring them here. If I bring them next time I see you can you show me how they work?" The little boy asked hopfully as he looked back up at the red head. Quote: Absolutely not. That's the two words that ran in Haruki's head. At least not now. "When you're older." He replied, crossing his arms and watching the boy. As eager as he was, he was stilla kid. One who likely wouldn't be able to handle most of the things that there were to learn, thus... "Perhaps in time, but for now. No. Keanu needs to head home anyway." And when Haruki said things that meant it was the end of the discussion. At least concerning Keanu. The leopard DID have a lot of respect for Haru for what he knew, and was already starting to stand up. "So sometime maybe he can come over to hear about the stuff?" He asked, trying to help his newfound friend with the matter. "As I said, when he's older. He wouldn't understand it right now." Was what came in the reply, and he turned, starting back for the door. "Kale was it? If you really want to learn things, read about them. That's were it all resides. In written documents about the past." That was Haruki's answer to everything, wasn't it? Books. Quote: Kale sat down, his face falling as he looked down into the soft grass. "I can't read, not yet. Do I have to wait?" He mumred softly. Quote: "Yes, you must wait." He wasn't about to bother teaching little kids. He simply didn't like them. And as thus, he used their lack of ability to give the excuse to avoid them. As well, Haruki's teaching methods where to force the child to do it themselves after seeing how it was done. Or reading. "You will need to be able to read before I will explain anything to you." With that said he continued walking. "Say goodbye, Keanu. We're heading home now." This was enough socializing for him today. Keanu had been letting the other speak for the time, and finally nodded smiling at Kale. "He said he'd teacher you later though, so it's not a no." He called in an attempt to cheer the other up. "So we'll see each other again too. But for now I gotta go home. Bye, bye Kale!" With a wave he turned to jog after the older man in an obediant manner. Quote: Kale smiled, and nodded, "Okay, see you later Keanu." He waved at the snow leapored as he left with his older brother. Detrimned that once he learned how to read he would read everything so Haruki would teach him everything he knows.

Egg VistArafel Another D-tech was standing inside the familiar room, but.. for an unfamiliar purpous. Hoo-boy.. how'd she get herself into this? With blade out of commision and everythgin so hectic at D-corp she had been forced into the role of babysitter. Why couldn't Kat do it...? Yeesh.
She rocked back and forth on her heels, her hair was pulled back into a pony tail. And she looked fairly young and pretty; except for one minor detail. The black bags under her eyes that showed she hadn't slept in all too long. The eyes above that black remained locked on the door, ears picking up the echo of her watch ticking away in the silence... They better show up soon, she had much more important things to be doing. 365 wasn't one to waste time with anything. Rayne Winner Orpheus arrived promptly this time, it was the second time he'd brought a kid through the place so at least he knew what was going on this time and what to expect. Ter trailed along behind, looking everything over as they headed down an unfamiliar path, "You will enjoy where we are going. You get to see you egg." He told him. Ter flared a little, a smile spreading over his lips, his egg huh? His dragon. He knew that his dragon would be much, much better in all ways then Ligeia's dragon! Why? Because Terpsichore said so! Orpheus opened the door so that his son could go in first, Ter coiled up in front of the D-tech. The snake child gave her a once over then looked away giving a low hissing sound. He had a low opinion it seemed of the techs, no doubt from when he was smaller and wasn't about to change it overnight. If ever. "Hello, this is Terpsichore or just Ter for short. Hes hear to join in the Egg Meet." Orpheus said, deciding to introduce the boy first since it didn't seem as if he were going too. Since well... he still didn't seem like he was gonna talk about anything. Nikiana Oh how Niki was relieved that she could find someone to watch Reign for a couple of hours. When she'd heard that Ala was to see her egg, the woman's first thought was how a chimp toddler should probably not be allowed in that room. Especially not her little chimp child. Reign was rather.... well, jealous since she'd heard about Ala getting a dragon. Hopefully Reign wouldn't be getting one of those... one dragon would be plenty... The koala girl skipped into the room ahead of her mother, as Niki opened the door after triple-checking the room number. Okay, so they were in the right spot. That was good. Very good. And apparently a bit early, for there was only one other kid here and it was... "TER!!" Ala clapped her hands happily as she spotted the coiled boy and started to dash towards him, hindered by her mother grabbing her arm quickly. "Let's not run in here, Ala.." Niki told her, quietly, letting go of the girl's arm as she stopped leaning away. As Alaqua meekly waved at her friend, Nikiana looked at the D-tech. "That's Alaqua, though I'm sure you somehow know that already..." LadyShanara Emer stoped in front of the assighned door, looking at the peace of paper she had found under her door. She smiled at Kale who seemed less affected by their run from the aprtment that D-Corp provieded to here. They had just gotton back from a job she had to do on sight. She was relived to find her timing had been as good as ever. She looked behinde her, Kale in his favorite shirt and shorts just gave her his half smile. She wondered if it was his gentics, or that she was getting older. Her lips twitched in a smirk as she shook her head and opned the door for him to go threw first, she nodded towareds the woman with the koala. Her eyes widing when the saw the red head. "Orphues!" Kale cheered when he saw Liegia's daddy, he paused when he saw the new boy with him. Emer lifted an eyebrow curiouesly. "You had another one since I've been gone?" Rayne Winner Ter perked up a little bit, wait... he knew that voice. He spun around quickly, which wasn't to hard for someone that was all tail to face the girl. The tip of his tail gave a flick back and forth and he lifted a hand to wave at her, "HISSU!" He said, smiling a fanged smile at Alaqua. Orpheus gave a little sighing sound, a little worried over his son's lack of speech... his thought stayed on it only as long as it took a voice familiar to him to say his name, "Hrm? Ah! Emer!" He said then nodded his head, "Yep, adopted the little guy not to long back." He said, "His name is Terpsichore. Say Hello Ter." Ter flat out ignored Emer as his attention was on Ala. "Ermm... you must forgive him. He's got little in the way of manners." Orpheus muttered. LadyShanara Kale watched the other two kids, his eyes wide. When Emer walked up to him he grasped her hand and put it around his shoulders. Emer squeezed his shoulder genteally as she smiled down at him. "You wouldn't already know anyone like that already would you?" She gave him a wink, remmbering his many lectures to her about her manners, or better lack there of. That familer tummy rolling thing came over him as Kale's ears reddined a little at the tips. He stood back, unsure of himself or what he was suppose to do, and he suddenly wished they could go back home so he could work on his projects, even though Momma said that he was going to meet someone special. Nikiana Niki loosed Ala to walk carefully over to the snake boy, whose hiss the koala girl took to be a greeting. Ala turned to look at the really tall boy who had entered after her. He was.... really, really tall! "Hi." She told him, a bit shy. He seemed older since he was so much taller. Why was he here? Nikiana was keeping half an eye on her daughter, worried that the girl would break something or another. She glanced at the other two children who were already here. Ter. The snake boy had grown since Niki had seen him last, though he didn't seem to be say much still. And... a boy Niki hadn't seen before. A giraffe, eh? That had to be an interesting child as he grew. She could already see that his neck was a bit elongated and he was pretty tall for his age. Assuming he was about Ala's age... Arafel "Welcome..."365 raised a brow at the rude behavior. She was in no means pleased with this. She gave a light snort to Orpheus's coverup. "I will call it by it's name when it decides to tell it to me." She gave a cocky smile towards the two, as she looked to the door when more entered.
Just about the sme from the next child... Well, this one didn't bother her. Children were prone to ignor the other people in the room if they weren't friends, but to simply waltz up and not say a thing? Like hell if she'd let that go. "Once again, I'll call the children bytheir names when THEY tell them to me." She looked more than annoid, she couldn't name how many times she'd been treated in this way just because of D-corps mannorisms. She was her own individual... she handled her own department, and she worked hard and kept polite. They had no right to treat her as they did...
Another followed in behind them, causing the woman to check her wristwatch... 3..2...1. Exactly noon, on the dot. "Alright, we'll be going. This one will be first." She pointed to Ter, still refusing to call him by his name until he said it himself. She turned down the area of strange machines, moving along to the first... A sandy area with a spikey somethgin sticking out up of the miniature sand dune. "This is a Wyvern. They originate genreally in places such as africa in warm desert climates, they're highly venomous and fairly agressive. That's why D-corp is very selective when giving them out, luckally for your child It has the added advantage of being poisonous itself... Therefore, will have a stronger immunity towards the Dragon. And Dcorp always manufacutres antivenoms, and doctors can be on call at any time incase there happens to be an accident." Rayne Winner Orpheus opened his mouth to explain the reason that he'd introduced Terpsichore then shook his head, deciding against it. He didn't see a point since she was already moving on and not the sort of person he wanted to get directely into a conversation with, he hesitated to use the word 'b***h' as it wasn't really a good thing to call a person even mentally. So instead he kept his comments to himself. Ter merely gave her a glare unintimidated by her attitude maybe? Or maybe he didn't really care what anyone her included thought of him or called him? Hard to really tell at the moment. He flicked his tongue and followed along after her when she pointed at him, his dislike of her waned when he saw it though, the egg among the sands, a creature of his own as Ligeia had gotten Vorel... He gave a hissing sound, a smile spreading over his lips at the words 'fairly aggressive' he seemed to like the sound of as well. The rest fell upon deaf ears as he slithered his way closer to the egg. It was perfect! He spun around to look at his father to make sure the man was watching, making sure he saw the awesome, spikey egg he'd gotten! Orpheus was doing that his head cocked to the side, on the last trip he had taken through here with Ligeia he remembered one of the kids, Nero wasn't it, had gotten a Wyvern as well. He'd been a bit relieved that his son had gotten something a bit tamer in the Frost Dragon and now it seemed the karma that had been so good with his first boy came back to bite him in the backside giving Ter a poisonous critter to match him... this would be interesting to say the least now wouldn't it? He had no questions to ask as last time he'd been through he had asked about the different dragons as they went, this one he'd shown some of the most concern over with it being venomous. Now he merely crossed his arms, "You are going to have to take very good care of it when it hatches Ter, best you don't let your partner take a bite out of anyone." And by anyone he meant Ligeia's dragon as he could all but read his son's eyes. He would be curious as to which dragon was stronger... Ter gave his father his best 'innocent' look before turning his full attention back to the egg trying to invision what was inside. Nikiana Nikiana raised an eyebrow at the D-tech. Okay, can we say attitude problem? The woman shrugged to herself and just stood about, waiting for the group to get moving. Ala turned her attention from the tall boy to the grumpy lady when she said something about the kids introducing themselves. "Hihi." She cheerfully chirped at the woman. "I'm Alaqua, though Mommy and Reign and most everyone calls me Ala. So I get to see my dragon, rights? Mommy said so..." Niki blinked at the first egg. Oh great. Give a poisonous child and poisonous dragon. Intelligent. Just wonderful. Well, hopefully that meant that Ala wouldn't be getting one of these venomous critters... ((Gah, Ala's turning into Gabby! Watch out everyone! *does not know since when Ala turned to be so talkitive* o.O)) LadyShanara Kale raised his hand waving a bit, his cheeks flairing a bit about to say hi when the D-tech made her announcments. His large dark eyes on his feet his voice a soft murmer, "I'm Kale." Emer's eyebrow raised at the curt way the woman spoke but kept her peace. Who knew, maybe the lady was having a bad day. She rested her hands on Kale's shoulders as they watched Ter be introduced to his egg. Wow, Orpues would have his hands full with this one. The stories she had heard about Vorel where bad enough, and now this one too? Kale blinked watching with extream intreast. This place was fascinating. All these eggs, in thier own incubators. It was amazing. "Wow, this place is great..." He mumred softly. jayoku Chath arrived hand in hand with his mother Jayoku. He looked eager to have finally arried at the facility as well but he was eager becuase they seemed to be fairly late. Huffing as they entered Jayoku looked emabressed and mumbeled something about getting lost. She couldn't make eye contact with the lab technician or anyone else int he room. They had just managed to catch where the group was leading off to the first egg when they had shown up.
Chath also felt embaressed the red skin on him ging redder. He looked about the room and noticed that he didn't reconize any of the other children there. He clung to Jayoku's side feeling a bit nervous. (sorry for the late post -_-; i had no access to the net until today) Arafel 365 Watched as the boy made his way to his dragon, though all thoghts of her were b***h at the time she felt the same could be said for the way the children had been acting. Either way... the children didn't seem to care what she thought, and she didn't care what the parents thought.
She paused to turn her attention as a child ran up to her, smiling somewhat for the first time since anyone had gotten there. "I'm very glad to see someone has mannors... I am 365... I've earned the nickname Caffine though." she gave a tiny chuckle, looking to her clipboard. "Hm. Well, how about we see yours next then, Ala?" Wether it was actually hers next or not no one would ever know. Though she probably woul dhave if she had heard Kale introduce himself.
She moved up ahead, not really noting the late child. They could do whatever they wanted as long as no one was wandering around without supervision...
Moving foreward, she came to the next incubator. What they came apon was a inclosed area, a flame wrapping around a golden egg inside. "Don't worry, it needs that flame to stay alive... It can go out for a few hours if there were to be a power outage. This is a brass dragon egg, they're fairly nice and highly intellegent. However all they do is talk... Even before your dragon develops the ability to speak propor human language it will likely be talking to you nonstop. I guess they can be a handfull..." she mumbled the last in a sidecomment. Nikiana The koala girl grinned as the D-tech mentioned visiting her egg next. Yay, that would be awesome. She practically skipped along behind 365 as the group moved to the next enclosure. She listened carefully to what the woman said, stepping close to the incubator. "So this is my egg?" Ala asked, more to herself than to the tech behind her. A brass dragon. Smart and nice. That's good. But Niki was a bit worried about the talking nonstop. Great. Just what was needed, a chatterbox. Arafel "Yep." 365 nodded some, tapping her foot on the tiled floors. There was a god reason she had gotten the nickname caffine, and she did have trouble staying still... "Are there anymore questions?" she glanced around the group. Nikiana Niki glanced over at Ala, but the koala girl remained silent. She seemed content to just stare at the egg bathed in flames. This was her dragon. Her very own dragon. Someone who'd always be with her and care for her. And care about her. And not like Reign. Maybe her dragon could eat Reign.... on accident, of course... Arafel 365 allowed the silence for a moment or so before picking up again "Alright, lets move on. You can stay here if you wish under your parents supervision."
With that she walked on foreward towards the next egg, she glanced to her clipboard as they reached the next setup. She looked to the child debating if she should call hi m by his name or not... Or had he said something? Yes.. she beleived he had. "You should speak up..." she noted, "Kale right? This is yours." she gestured towards the setup that was an exact replica of Ter's, perhaps the egg was a different shade, different spikes, the sand was perhaps shifted a different way... but still the same.
365 looked a tthe egg, then back to the boy... Then to her clipboard. "...What were you thinking?" she muttered to the report papers. A tiny voice in the back of her mind reminded her that she was supposed to make this look good... Not scare anyone. But geez, this was retarded. "Well, Kale, it says here you have a wonderful personality... Kat says you were fairly outgoing when she met you, and you two had alot of fun?" Her attitude seemed to have changed slightly towards Kale all of a suden. "Like i said before antivenom is allways on hand... Thoguh kale doesn't have any natural antitoxins, his metabolism might help him. Girraffes in general can take a fairly large dose of poison without being fatal due to their size... Though no one is sure about kale in specific. We'll also provide you with an antitoxin kit as well." This was ignoring the fact Girraffes were top on a wyvern's favorite meal list.
She smiled reassuringly though, "Any questions?" LadyShanara Kale grinned as he took several quick steps up to the glass, pressing his face and hands agaisnt the glass. His tail whipping back and for exctiedly, his ears twtiching so fast they almost seemed to vibrate. "This one is for me? Really? When he hatches I get to take care of him and stuffs, right? Will he talk like the other one? Or will he have more like non verbal communcation? Antivenoum? So he will is just like Ter's? What does he like to eat? Will he like this type of enviroment all the time?" Emer ducked her head as she hid her smirk, glade to see Kale start to come out of his shell again. Once they got use to his tall size then they would treat him just the same, or at least she hoped, then Kale maybe would be outgoing again. She blinked as she listend to the streaming questions her son spouted off, it all sinking in, "Wait.... why the hell would they give him a poisons dragon?" She rubbed the bridge of her nose, sighing. "I would like a huge supply of the antivenom.... just in case. Please." Arafel 365 almost felt bad about how excited the boy was, hopefully it wouldn't go as bad as her mind calculated it would. Suprisingly she was able to answere each question as fast as they came out, being fairly highstrung herself. "Yes, this is yours. Yes you'll ge tto take him home. He won't talk as much, but he can talk. Yes, like it's dragon." she skipped a question "Yes, he or she is from the african savahna generally... Just like your DNA."
She almost seemed upset the barrage of quick questions had stopped, that was how she liked to get things done... Which was why she was Alan's top assistant. "Ofcourse, you can have as much as you need... We'll only charge shipping and handling if you don't want to come in and pick it up." she jotted something down on the pad, making sure they would get the extra antivenom they requested. "Dragons are chosen by talents and personality... Since his DNA has nothing to do with being compatable with a Wyvern then the only thing left is his personality. A compliment really, D-corp must have high expectations for you." She glanced at him, before becoming antsy again. "Any more questions?" Nikiana Ala had decided to see what the last egg was and was a bit disappointed when it turned out to be like the first one. Kinda boring. Nothing new. Niki raised an eyebrow at 365 as she stated which dragon Kale was getting. Okay, so first they give a poisonous dragon to a poisonous child. Real intelligent. But this whole giving a poisonous dragon to a child that didn't even produce a natural antitoxin was even better! The woman wasn't exactly sure which was worse. Well, at least Ala was the oddball out in this group. Thank the powers that be on that!! She'd take talking over poison any day. LadyShanara Kale blinked and turned to look at the the Tech, "Ms. 365? You didn't answer the question of what it eats. How can I take care of him if I don't know what he eats?" Emer's eyes shot to the Tech's and to the other parents in the room. Wyvern's were from the same placeas gariffs and where conavores and 365 didn't want to answer the question. Emer covered her face with her hand, "Oh for the love of..." She muttrted softly. So she had to keep the dragon from eating her son? jayoku Chath had hung back observing with his bright eyes and itching his dry skin. He wanted to use the spray bottle but didn't want to draw attention to himself yet. Listening to 365 he tried to grasp the information she was giving. So far they had all been interesting. He couldn't wait until they got to his egg. But somehow he felt that he would have to wait a while. He did show up late, it was only fair. He watched the new children express their concerns about their eggs as well their many questions. Since each dragon was for each chlidren he felt he shouldn't voice his own questions about the dragon eggs. They weren't his after all. Let the other children have a chance. Rayne Winner Ter hadn't really had all the much interest in Kale, it wasn't that he didn't like him it was jsut that he didn't really get one with others until he ran across them and they did something that caught his attention. For Paxton it was the hugs for Vivina it was the music... up until now Kale did nothing to catch Ter's gaze. Now though it was different. The snake child slithered closer to the giraffe, looking at his egg before pushing up on his coils to make himself appear taller and patted him, "Hissu!" He said, as if greeting him in some sort of manner. That or saying, 'I got that too!' and thusly he found interested in the giraffe child if for nothing else then this one thing that they shared. Orpheus looked over at Emer then gave a little laugh, "I'm sure he will be fine." He murmured to her assuringly. Or so he hoped, if anything happened since he was an easier target for her to abuse. Arafel "Oh right, well all dragons eat meat. So anything of that sort would do well." she nodded, quickly spinning around to avoid the topic at hand... She didn't exactly agree with the decision, but whatever... That wasn't her department.
She moved along past some other set ups, "Liang.. not here, Stella.. not here... Chath. That must be you." She looked back at the last boy, then back to her pad... Alright, another genious decision... Giving a dargon that produces acid to a child with sensitive skin. "Have you gotten your vaccinations yet? They're supposed to make your skin immune to rough chemicals..." she glanced over the newt boy, before shrugging "It doesn't matter yet, just make sure you get them." She gestured to a tank, atleast the wyvern's hadn't looked dangerous. The tank was made up of steel and thick glass where they needed visual access. One could see the thick green substance and in the midst of it a black egg just floating at the top.
"This is a black dragon... It generally lives in swampy areas, thus why you were chosen for it... the downside is that it does produce acid and chemicals that may potentially be harmful to you. We beleive we have a way around that though, and in the process your skin should become much less irritable." she smiled a bit, "The dragons are.. vicious to say the least, there's one other going to a girl named Yeesha... She's an american aligator. However... The dragons are young and made to bond with the children, so the issue of viciousness towards you shouldn't be a problem... You just have to love them. And you all have shown willingness to do so." Yay for positive spins. jayoku Chatth moved forward as his named was announced. He looked to 365 when she asked about the Vaccinations and then back to his mom. He did get shots once...but that was because he was sick.
Jayoku moved with Chath eager and interested in this dragon that was to be Chath's she frowned upon hearing its description. "No he hasn't recieved his vaccinations yet. I was hoping to hear from the lab soon about it though. HIs last check up the nurse said they would be working on one for his skin condition.."
Chath liked the sound of having his skin less sensitive, but shots were another thing....he wasn't fond of needles. "So is that acid the egg is floating in?" he asked standing on his tip toes to get a better look inside the tank. "Will it be a he or she? Or will I find out once it hatches?" Chath continued oblivious to the side note of the dragon being dangerous. "I get to name them right?" he continued moving sid eto side to get a better view of the egg.
"Didn't you say this thing would be vicious? Why would you give such a dangerous thing to a child?" Jayoku muttered moving in to look at the egg and frowning at the obvious if not blunt signs of steel barracade. "And this dragon will live at this facility correct?" she did not like to think this thing would be moving in to their home....acid? Sounded like she would need to gather more medical supplies.
"So only a girl has one too?" Chath sounded awed and special being choosen to care for a black dragon. "I want to meet her!" he said nodding his head enthused with this new idea. He turned to his mom and tugged on her sleeve. But was ignored as his mom was frowning deep in thought. Turning to 365 he asked more question's he thought probably would be more useful in knowing the answers.
"Does this dragon eat meat? What kinds? Is it picky? Do they also have to keep their skin damp so they don't dehydrate like I do? What would be the best conditions to make my dragon happy? Will he/she likes petting? Swimming? Will he/she be able to fly?" His barage of questions flowed from him, the other other dragon he had ever seen was the tiger shark boy's serpent. He wanted to know as much as he could. Arafel "They should have it soon then." 365 nodded and watched the eager child. "Mhmm. The conditions of genders are unsure to us... We beleive it's something like most reptillian eggs where the temperature decides the gender. However, we haven't found a need to regulate that in the dragons the children will be getting. And yes you get to name it."
"Have you not been listning this whole time?" 365 looked back to the concerned parent, not that she could blame them.. but honestly, wasn't it obvious that they would? "The steel is only there to prevent the acid from eating through before the egg hatches, don't concern yourself too much. Chath has one wonderful skill that will help him, he can regrow just about any bodypart... Spine, arms, legs, tail, even his eyes. Impressive really..." she gave a smile to Chath, as if all that had been a big compliment. "Well if you want Chath to ever be safe around the dragon it would stay with him at all times... Bonds are what keeps the dragons from hurting us, thats why your dragon is with you from it hatches and on... They're your best friends, made just for you, and neither of you would exist without the other." she nodded, speaking some sort of d-corpish wisdom.
She smiled at the inquisitiveness of the boy, something she held at a highest respect. She'd ignor the parent for now, and focus on the wonderful little oarnge creation before her. "Yes, and I beleive it would eat any kind but each dragon will have their own specific favorites, just like you and I do. It won't need to be kept as damp as you, but It'll probably enjoy being damp. It'll have it's own preferences, just pay attention to it and I'm sure it'll be happy. It might like to be petted, most do... each have their own favorite spot. Black dragons do love to swim, but can't breathe underwater like a leviathan. And yes, it will be able to fly." she managed to keep up just as easily as she had with Kale. jayoku Chath was unuse to having and adult pay so much attention to him and his questions. With a wide grin he turned his attention back to the egg and pressed his face up to the glass. "I don't really mind if it is a girl or boy...." he siad his words a muffeled from the glass. But he stopped when she mentioned his regeneration.
Looking at her baffeled he stood his mouth hanging wide up, his parent also doing the same. "I can do what???" he asked sounding excited but also a little sick. He could regrow limbs? Why did that sound incrediable uncomfertable? "Wow...I am like a superhero!" he continued whilst his mother attempted to absorb this information. It did put her mind at ease though the thought still desturbed her.
"If I am like a superhero I will have to name my dragon something cool!!" he continued babbling on before turning to look at the egg once more. He smile turned into a furrowed frown as he suddenly turned serious once again.
"So my dragon enjoys water but can't breath underwater, but he/she can fly. Well he/she get really big? Would you say the black dragon's are the largest dragons?" for some odd reason this seemed like a very important question to him. "So my dragon will live with me??" he continued sounding now very excited he turned to his mom, "Can he/she live in my room!!??" he asked sounding as if he was not asking permission more like demanding it. Jayoku was at a lose for words. Arafel "I guess you are.." she mused, seeming fairly calm as the boy did all the energetic activities for her. "Yes, but it can hold it's breath for a long time and swim well. They also may be able to learn a spell to breath underwater. It will get big but it's actually one of the smaller dragons, along with white dragons, Brass dragons, and copper dragons. Red and gold dragons are the largest. But the bigger you are the clumbsier your flying is. Harder to turn," 365 demonstrated by holding her arms out and manuvering herself in a circle as though she was flying. "Like with cars vrs trucks." jayoku Chath turned to observe her and nodded his head thinking he understood waht she meant. "SO smaller isn't bad, it means he/she will be faster!" he said calculating it out. "Like how sparrows fly more gracefully than a crow would." he said trying to make some sort of comparision. He racked his brains for other question's but could not think of anything pressing thus far. He just couldn't wait for his dragon to hatch!
"Do you know how long eggs take to hatch? is it varied from each kind?" he went on and then something dawned on him.."They can learn spells???" he asked astonished. Arafel 365 nodded in agreement. "Well, yes, it can vary in time. Each dragons different, but it shouldn't be too long now. "
She smiled a bit and nodded "Eventually yes, some of the dragons can even turn into other things.. Like the bronze dragon can become small woodland creatures." jayoku Chath was at first awed and baffeled and then very excited. "Can my dragon do that too??" he asked hopping from foot to foot in eager ethusiasm.
"WIll I be able to learn spells as well??" he asked his new thought of becoming a super hero blossoming in his head.
Jayoku was wondering if 365 was getting tired of her son's babbling but she certianly didn't seem to show any signs of being annoyed. Arafel "It's not known too..." 365 gave the breifest of moments to ponder the idea of a black dragon even bothering with such a thing.
"Yes you will." She smiled some, "Just a bit older and you'll be attending those classes with Raven." 365 hardly minded any questions, but the thought that she should be getting the other children out of the area seemed appealing. They were likely to have been getting bored.. and bored children meant bad things.
"Well, looks like we should wrap this up..." she offered an apologetic smile to Chath "You can call D-corp at anytime and I'll be more than willing to answere any questions for you. Just ask for 364." She paused, kneeling down to whisper to the boy "Or if no ones around to answere the phone my number also works as an extension. Just put 0365 and it'll go straight to my office. But shh." She smiled, not wanting everyone and their grandmother to be calling her... But Chath could.
"Lets get out of here." She announced to the group, turning to head back towards the exit. "So what's you're superhero name going to be?" She gave a tiny glance back to Chath. jayoku Chath seemed to beam with pride with being given such information. He pressed a finger to his lips announcing silently that he wouldn't tell anyone this secret information. As she sannounced that they were going to leave he gave one last look at his dragon egg and waved it goodbye.
"I hope to see you soon!" he said with a gleeful smile and then turned and followed everyone out. When asked about his superhero name he scratched his chin and looked very sreious.
"I....am not sure...but it has to be a cool name. I could be called Red lighting!" he suggested though he looked up to 365 as it wanting a approved nod from her. "Or the Wonder newt!" he continued but frowned at the second name obviously the words sounding sour even to himself.
"What do you think?" he asked refraining himself from grabbing onto her hand and clinging to her, he was going to be a superhero...he shouldn't cling to people. LadyShanara Kale had to be slowly pulled away fromt he glass case that held his egg, Emer had to actully take his hand and start to pull him away from the incubator. She smiled down at Kale as he watched the incubator up until they turned the cornor so he couldn't see it any more. He gave a huge longing sigh as he faced forward his head hanging. He didn't want to leave his egg! But he apparentlly didn't have any other choice. Emer leaned down and spoke quitely, "We'll see if they'll let us come and vist your egg later." The boy immedatly perked up, his ears twtiching happily. Nikiana Niki and Ala paused at the incubator that held the koala girl's egg so that Alaqua could say bye to it. The girl watched the flames dance over the surface of her egg for a few moments, then, with a wave, she followed her mother and the rest of the group out the door.

Child Journal Entry 1
Kale tapped his pen agiasnt his chin as he looked down at hte journal his Mom had given him. It had things in it from when he was little as well. He tilted looking over at the mirrior hanging above his dresser looking at the silver hoop in his ear and the red stud in his nose and smiled shifting so they glitterted in the light of his desk lamp.
Wrapping his tounge around the pen, writing with his tounge now his favorite way to write things. ~Yesterday Momma and Orphues went out and I went over to stay with Geia and Ter. Ter has a whole bunch of earings, just like Momma. I told him how awsome I thought that was, and that Momma had said I could get my own like that someday.
He took me into his room, and gave me two earings of my own. One in my ear and the other in my nose. The one in my nose hurt! Geia caught us and was really mad, and called Momma and Orphues.
When they got home they where both really mad too. It kinda looked like Geia got into trouble. I feel really bad about that. I will have to tell him I am sorry about getting him into trouble.
Still l really like them, and Momma hasn't made me take the earrings out. I wonder..... maybe I can get Ter to do some more....~ Kale smiled, putting the pen down and closing his book, turning off his lamp and going to bed.
