At first Plow was shaking with fear, but then when momma lowered herself, he snuggled against her deliberately. "Momma, pwease don't be sad..." Multi Moved closer and snuggled too. Then he said, "Sisters around somewhere. Raza like to be near water. Tricks like to be up high. And Red like to be hidden. Raza Probably closest. She miss Momma the most."

Then suddenly the snow building outside shifted and a small shape burst forth from it. A Pup with a fin on her back and a shark like tail. A pup with white feet, white underbelly, and grey on top. "Momma..." The Pup asked. "Where's Momma...?" Then she looked right at her brothers and saw the bigger wolf. "Momma!!!!!!!" And she ran as best she could to her side and snuggled.

All Three Pups followed their mother and happily snuggled.

Plow and Multi were quick to go to sleep, tired from the stress of the reluctancy of their mother to remember. However, Raza was still awake and inquisitive. "Momma, I never wanna Lose you again. Never. You are the best, and I missed you." Then she looked up at Rieshe for a moment before moving closer to snuggler for warmth. But she didn't fall asleep yet.

Raza was the first of the three to awaken, and to notice their mom wasn't still next to them. She was startled at first; thinking that their momma was gone. Then she turned and rushed forth to her mom's side, rubbing her head against her mom's left hind leg. Her brothers were slow to wake up but once they did, they both followed. Plow hid behind Rieshe's front right leg, but because of his doubled size compared to a normal pup his age, there was no way he could effectively hide. Multi looked at the stranger and his tail started wagging a litle. "Hello. My name is Multi." Then Raza Spoke up, "And I'm Raza..." Plow slowly looked out from behind his mothers leg and said, "I'm Plow..."

Little Raza Bowed her head in respect to Teal, while Plow continued to hide. Little Multi Looked at Teal and asked, "What wrong Miss Teal?" And then He started looking around and sniffing. He started to fllow his nose for a moment before his tummy growled. "Momma...I'm Hungry..." Little Raza and not so little Plow added their own voices to the words. "Me too momma." "I'm hungry too."

Plow followed first, but not because he wasn't afraid. He did so to live up to his name. He used his head to plow snow out of the way to make a clear path from his brother and sister. Multi and Raza followed Plow, just as plow followed miss Teal. Plow may have been a pup, but because of his increases size he was able to plow a path for his siblings.

Multi was amazed as he looked around. This place was huge to him. He could barely contain his excitement.

Raza on the other hand was more reserved, not nervous, just less enthusiatic. But she was polite about it. "Beautiful..."

Plow was quiet, too quiet. If Teal were to look he wasn't there.
Plow was following that male from before And had no trouble doing so, he was able to plow through the snow and leave a clear trail to walk in. Plow was on a mission. He didn't like the reaction the male had to him. And plow was going to make absolutely sure that the male learned how plow felt about it, whether the male cared or not.

It was a beautiful specimen, the female deer that he and his brothers had managed to bring down for the pack. Large, with little antler to get in the way: she would fill their bellies for tonight. Her blood was still sweet on Hahnu's tongue as he approached the den, mixing with that of the rabbit in his maw. The rabbit was as pure as snow, a gift for his mate. It was one of Itus' favorite things to devour when it was winter; nothing better than a rabbit plumped up with winter fat. Hahnu was planning on surprising his Itus, but it seemed Itus had other things in mind as he called out to him in his usual greeting.

Hahnu gently laid the rabbit on the snow-covered ground as Itus charged at him with such a fervor that he was sure something had happened. It was probably just another bickering match amongst the pup-watchers: there were so little pups at the moment... Regardless, Hahnu ducked his head, burying his nose in the warm, black fur on his chest, and inhaled his scent: musky and earthy, with a hint of clean, crisp air. No matter what had happened that day, just the smell and feel of Itus made his heart calm. "The lake is frozen, you know that." Hahnu lifted his head and saw the look in Itus' eyes, a muted sense of urgency. There was no hiding it: something had happened. Itus could hide many things from many wolves, but he could hide little from Hahnu. The hard part was figuring out what he was hiding. This charade could go on for days.

The lighter male decided to indulge his mate; maybe what he wanted to tell him could only be told in solitude. Some time alone would do them both good; with winter coming, they had had little time to themselves as preparing for the cold became everyone's number one priority. The thought of having some time with Itus with no one to bark orders at them made his blood heat up as it didn't in the hunt that day. "Okay, we'll go to the lake. But let's get back before ..." His words trailed off as something hit his nose. As soon as he picked it up, it was gone. He lifted his nose, trying to catch the scent on the wind, but no luck with that; the air was filled with the scent of the other pack mates. Then he turned his snout to the ground. There! It was the faintest smell, but it was there.

The scent was strange, foreign. It smelled of man and unnatural things. What was worse, the smell was in the middle of the pack's home. Hahnu's ears flattened against his skull. "Itus... do you smell this?" He lifted his head slightly, ignoring the calls from his dark companion. He frantically combed the ground for the trail. After what seemed like forever, he finally found it a couple yards away from where Itus was standing. His nose wrinkled up, revealing the front row of fangs. "Something was here," he growled. The entire plan, giving Itus the rabbit, going to the lake, having alone time, was long forgotten with this strange scent invading his home. Hahnu's hunting instincts kicked into gear and the scent trail was the only thing that mattered at the moment as he took off to follow it.

He managed to get a good distance between himself and their usual meeting spot outside the den, before it dawned on him. The urgency in his eyes, the need to be alone, to get away. Itus knew. Itus knew about this. Why was he staying quiet about it? Why did he want to get him alone to tell him? Can no one else know? That had to be it: no one else in the pack can know. But shouldn't something be done? Hahnu stopped in his tracks, poised for action, and glanced this way and that. He should know better than to question Itus, who was a pack defender--he knew what was best for the protection of the family. Back from whence he came, the other pack mates were going about their normal business: the yearlings were play fighting, the patrol was making their rounds, the pup watchers were keeping watchful eyes on the younger wolves and each other, and the others were eating on the flesh of the deer. All was normal. No one else had picked up the scent; no one else was concerned with picking up scents. The world rotated as normal for everyone else. But did Rieshe know? Hahnu looked down, spotting strange tracks in the snow. They didn't look like anything he had seen before in the forest. His ears flattened further against his skull as he inhaled the scent off the snow once more before bolting off in the general direction of the trail.
