It looks unfinished like that. I bet going a wash of your white across them would fill in very nicely! Also, you should think about doing a bit of layering across the flesh, you should be able to bring out all the details fully, even without taking Macro shots! Otherwise, looking good! There is still plenty of time to the contest, so I bet you could do some more touch-up work to make it even better.

Maybe just alittle, but not too much, looks more appropiate that way, that they are kinda like real wings rather then manifestation of.... um.... whiteness. :-/
I´m a really simple guy with simple paint skills. sweatdrop At best I have like 2 layers, 3 if I use wash. <.<"

However, if you washed with white to make them completely white, a thin follow-up with Neutral Grey will give plenty of definition without picking out feathers for two hours. Also, I find that flesh benefits quite a bit from watering down some Elf Flesh, then applying just a bit to a dry brush. This helps to transfer a thin amount to only where you place, makes for some healthy looking flesh for Humans.

I´m abit lazy in nature. ;p That and the paint-pot costs 3€ a piece, it´s best if I keep things simple. <.<" Better have few paints that needs to be bought then the whole... you know... paint-set. ^^"
Most paints I got are used either quite rarely, used for details or in case of Dark Angel Green and Chaos Black, used very often and alot. Spraying mini´s is a pain without it. sweatdrop
I just use Bronzen Flesh (I think it´s called that, label has weared off) with Ogryn Wash.
The most technical thing I did was painting the Space Hulk Genestealers with the manuals instruction, but even then I got abit hit and miss. Some are done right, most have a waaaaay too much of dry-brushed Ice Blue. <.<" But I´m okay with that, genetics or something. ninja

By the way, shouldn't the rocket launcher and loader be on a 60mm round base?

Knowing the owner of the models, it has to be ink, I doubt he has the time or room to dip his models where he's at right now. wink GW says you should but really now? IMHO the new ruling for heavy weapon teams, as a two wound model is a shitty way to handle things, making it way too easy to take out heavy weapon squads and support elements from squads.

One of the many reasons why I'm very anti taking heavy weapons in squads of guard, I personally favour the combined squad approach with multiple special weapons for manoeuvrability. Anyway getting off topic, I probably don't have much time to finish a couple of models but hey I'm going to give it a go. I've got a few of the older Games Day models I want to paint.
