Yes by another one to start fresh. And just to let you know though I am unable to post very much and it looks like i am not active i read every single announcement and try my best. You probably don't know this but I am disabled and just having the energy level to make it through the day is challenging enough so I can't post a whole lot like I want to. Just wanted you to know that and maybe there might be a couple more members out there like me that have something wrong and are more active than they appear to be. I do enjoy the guild so I would be sure to follow you.

I like the idea of a new guild. Though I don't much like guilds that delete members for inactivity, because even I've taken a hiatus recently.
I don't mind us moving to a new group and those who want to move and join us can.

I'm apparently still in this guild on this mule so you get my two cents.
A guild is only as strong as it's crew and captain. When the captain vanishes for months on end to play games the guild is destine to die, no matter if it is a new or old guild. Same as having inactive crew, they hold the guild together but to a lesser extent. In theory the guild could have stayed strong if the vice captains had been around, but they had not, as such you have the guild in the condition it is now. Moving to a new guild is not going to help the problem if the crew ditches it again. Play Resort World all the time, your guild dies. Split your time between the two it will be fine. (Think to yourself what would happen to Gaia if Lanzer took 3-5 week long breaks.)
I see you already created another guild last night so pretty much you made up your mind before asking your current guild.

I'm going to add that I already spoke to Sporty about this when he was asking me to rejoin the guild & crew on my main, so this not something new that I came up with suddenly. stare

Things come up all the time, we... well... most of us [ smile ], know that, and know that real life comes first and foremost. Inactivity means... if you're not around for months on end. Not if you just have things come up and can't be on. No worries. heart

Auriga La Shock That sounds reasonable to me ^^ It is reasonable 3nodding . Because, well some of us, including me x.x aren't active mostly during week days, or the whole year. But I am still updated 3nodding . So, its a "Yes" xd

Well I have this much to say. I'm not the most active member in the guild, but I do try to be active when I see announcements about what is going on. I agree that the main thing that is keeping this guild from being a success is activity and activity starts with your crew. If your crew isn't around then how do you expect the regular members to be around?
As far as members go, the only thing that I can see as being an issue with 600 non actives is the cost to send announcements. I'm pretty sure that isn't a big issue so don't worry about the inactives. They do nothing to hinder the guild and some may still read the announcements but not find anything they are willing to be truly active in. I enjoyed the first Christmas event I was a part of and I even brought some of my loyals with me to enjoy your event, but my personal complaint is that each event is basically the same and while i love writing poems, the games don't really appeal to me. I find in my own threads, having mini-games throughout the thread really helps boost activity. People come to join in the mini games and chat while they are waiting for one or just to see what is happening even if they don't participate in the game. It gives people something to talk about if they dont know each other and it gets the senses going. I truly believe that my personal activity in my giveaway threads as well as the activity of my mod's both hosting minigames and just being there to chat is what caused the giveaways to be successful. Also I do my best to personally log on at random times during the day even if its for a few minutes to see if people are online because if just one person is on, they will get bored and leave. Give that one person something to do. Have them go grab people for a reward. They don't have to be big prizes, people just like a challenge sometimes more so than the prize.
Um... thats my long spill... As always I can be pretty wordy...
OH and a suggestion for organization. Make subforums like gaia's main forum page: Categories for the type of threads you would find in said sub forum. If you change the title of a sub forum to "Main Events" you can post all of your events there. Also, if you post your events as an "announcement" or "Sticky" in the subforum, it wont send an announcement out, but it will make that forum come to the top of the list. Then when the event is over you can change it to a regular thread. Any new thread you make an announcement (or sticky) will ALWAYS be on top. If you change the others to regular post they will draw less attention.
Hm... not that I think about it, I think a new guild would be fine also especially for orgaization because I have not and will not look for a thread in this guild unless it is in an announcement because of the clutter sweatdrop You can always send an announcement saying "the guild has be moved so that it is cleaner and more organized", and if gold isn't an issue, send out an announcement from both guilds for your major events in case old members want to follow. Maybe once the new guild is made and people join, have them quit the old guild if they don't want the double announcements.

I think we should cleanup this Guild bevause we have like 2ish years of stuff here... but we should make a new Guild to move people over to whilst we clean this one. After this one is cleaned and everyone returns we could use the other Guild for future stuff.
