The only child here, Miss Nymph, is you. Unable to withhold your emotions for the sake of your kingdom and being terrified of of a man who cannot harm you in here. That, is childish." Zane wouldn't even bother to address the burning at the stake part since, it was mostly true. Looming over her gave the already inflated ego a boost, as he could see her flinch much better, now that she was close up. Damn snake eyes to hell in the light!
As her speech continued, the malicious smirk actually turned into a smile, one that often never showed to anyone outside the Serpent and Witch kingdoms. Most took it as a sign to flee. "Compliments? Dear Princess, you touch me. However, if you think I'd ever live with an annoyance such as yourself, you're sorely mistaken." His smile faded as he spoke, a dark snarl accompanying his last statement, sharp fangs becoming more prominent. There was no room for error, the Nymph was annoying, plain, childish and would never be worthy of calling herself his wife, ever.
As the doors opened once again, Soren took a sharp step back. The last thing he wanted was anyone to question just what the hell he was doing with the girl. A stoic expression took over, as the snake nodded to the brunette before him. "Kayden, it's always a pleasure." And that it was. There was something about the Witch that drew the brunette Prince to her. It wasn't just the young woman's beauty, the Prince knew that much. She emitted power, radiated strength, something he wanted in a mate. But, to her, they were simply friends. Allies in this ridiculous scheme courtesy of the previous generation.
A trimmed eyebrow rose at the sigh, his face still not leading to any other hint of expression. Perhaps it was because of her brother? Not only did he get to marry the woman he adored, but he was also the most likely one -- as was any Prince -- to stay in their home kingdom, the Princesses most likely the ones to move. For her, it was a drastic change, and not one he would ever wish upon himself. From dry lands to a snowy mountain. The caves were cold, Soren couldn't imagine going to a winter hellhole --again, strictly his opinion -- without dying from shock. Presently, Zane was thankful. If his sister wasn't going to roll out of bed anytime soon, then he'd distance himself with Kayden, and plot some way to get rid of the Nymph he was to marry.❝ιf тнιѕ ρℓα¢є ωєяє ∂єєρ ιиѕι∂є тнє єαятн. . . ι ωσυℓ∂ иσт уєαяи fσя α ѕυи ι иєνєя києω.❞ ≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡ τhε รєгקєภt ㄕЯⅰиς∑tเ๓є, it's been so løṉģ And now there's noтнιng to say I'm trying ṡø hαɾḋ to find the words to ѕαу I'm tired of вeιng, now I'm something I'm ภ๏t

The Nymph puffed her cheeks out at the mans rebuke in attempt to keep the heat rising to a blush. What about that was childish? Th e only thing about her that differed in comparison to him was his height and her short stature. He was a hypocrite, in a way, and she was just about to tell him so.
"It is more mature to stand up against what you fear most rather then shrinking away from it. I haven't let my emotions get the best of me, I am purely just laying what I had to say and feel out there. We are not in public, it is just you and I here, that is opening up to the other person in hopes of starting a mutual relationship based on what our parents have planned out for us." She had been speaking less as fast then she had the first time, taking her time to say what she had on her mind. Her chin lifted once more to look into the eyes of the snake above her. "I am not the child here looking for a way out of this arrangement. I can at least realize that this arrangement had to take some planning and needed the confirmation of the entire Council. If you think the king and queen, or even the Council themselves, will let you out of this just because you might be planning some big escape, then you are highly mistaken yourself. Anyone who tries to get out of this will most likely be excommunicated from all kingdoms, and there goes your shot at the throne."
Now he was the one to take a step back, but not at her words. No, Soren wouldn't back down that easily. Her ears twitched and the door opened. Princess Kayden stepped through the double doors. She saw the familiarity that played on the Witchs face at the sight of the snake. Her eyes averting from Kayden, she saw a flash of... of what? The clean slate of a face said nothing to her, but his eyes when he'd seen the other princess had told her everything. Wisty had seen the look before, only thing was, she needed to remember where.
With the Witch Princess here, Remember's eyes glanced behind her to see if her brother had come along as well. No? Of course not. Seems like all the siblings were sleeping in this time around. She was disappointed not to see Rath anywhere, though. Now that Sorens backup was here, where was her own? "Kayden," She imitated the same monotone tense voice as the other had given her. Did they ever greet each other with anything but coldness? No, no not at all. Remember didn't care for Kayden. She never had the optimistic feeling about the storm princess as she had Soren. Soren at least had soft spots that she could see. Kayden was just a rough barbed wire waiting for electricity to spark.

Update On ProfilesAll characters can have powers due to their race. Demons have magic, but what kind? Can your character levitate items or themselves, telepathy, start fires, what? Fairy's can already fly, but can they get rid of their wings by shuffling them inside their back? Can they shrink to REAL fairy size, freeze things, call ice spirits, What? Serpents have infared eye sight, but can they morph their lower body into that of a snakes, keep their human body but be flexible like they have no spine, grow fangs and have a poisonous bite, what? And Nymphs, they have their agility and natural camoflage appearance, but can they control plantation, make things grow, become a vine or bark, what?
If you already have a character, please PM me their powers in the code below. You are not limited to the powers I named above, be creative and make up your own too. (Powers can combine but no more then two or three)
You really don't want to mess with me, I can ((What are your powers? Make them apply to your race: Ex- Nymph has agility and controls branchs, Fae can freeze things (they already fly), Demon has their powers but what is their specialty (can they read minds, levitate things, heal, summon, use offensive, defensive or protective magic?))
For example, here is Remembers new power slot
You really don't want to mess with me, I canLeap great heights. When I get in trouble usually I escape by jumping from the ground to a branch ten or twenty feet in the air, and then keep hopping from tree to tree, branch to branch. I can also control vines, moss and minor branches and twigs

If Faerie lives 'neath mortal sky then Faerie soul shall fade and die." xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxFae Princess of the Fairy Kingdom
"Princess Rathina? Where are you? You're due to be at the castle soon!"
The Fae Princess in question was her tiny, shrunken, self hidden away in the dark corner under her wardrobe. The note from the Fae Queen innocently laid on her bed, slightly crumpled with a few wet spots, where it was more then obvious that she had cried on. Rathina was about a mere five inches tall just enough to fit on the palm of someone's hand. Since the maids had not thought about looking around on the floor (or that very convenient corner she was currently residing in), she was quite content to stay and mope there for a very long time.
She heard some faeries enter her room once more as one of the servants suggested checking the wardrobe, making her tense as she head the ominous footsteps heading in her direction. However, the person merely opened up the doors, not even thinking to check underneath the large wooden box. Rathina winced slightly as she heard the doors shut above her before curling up into a tighter ball, her feathery wings wrapping around herself in a lame attempt to cheer herself up. 'So much for the marriage promise. Thanks a lot, mother.'
"Someone, please. do fetch Prince Kierran and let him know that we can't find the Princess"
(( ooc ;; [/drags self off to bed] ))

Kayden. He needed to focus on Kayden before his fangs grew any sharper. If he killed Remember now, not even half an hour after being together, than he'd be screwed. But shrinking away? Shrinking away! To accuse him -- him of all the royals -- to be a coward! She was not the one who went to the front lines with his father to see what had become of their people, she was not the one who was given the burden of deciding what was best for everyone. How Soren wanted nothing more than to rip her throat out and paint the halls with her blood at that comment. His parents, especially not his cowardly father, who shook and bumbled at every explosion, did not know best. His mother was forced into an arranged marriage, and she became the King's mistress, before he courted her. "Hypocritical woman. Setting me up with a fool I'd never accept when she herself rejected her plan her parents set for her."
Besides, who wasn't looking for a way out? Soren knew the Nymph hated the caves and was terrified of his kind. How could anyone call themselves a Queen when they rejected everything they were to stand for. As for the Council's approval, they were all idiots. Zane was positive all the young adults -- and children -- here could agree. And why wouldn't they let him out? Next to the Ice Prince, Soren was probably the only one with experience out in the field, not to mention could easily kill without a second thought. It wasn't like marriage was the only way to end this. Diplomacy was key, except in marriage. Anything went in marriage. If any of the future rulers wanted peace, then they'd work hard enough to do it without being chained in a personal prison to someone not of their own.
"If mother thinks she'll ever get a grandchild, she's mistaken. I'll never allow a filthy half-Nymph rule over my kingdom. And I'm doubtful the citizens would either. . ." The thought of having to bed with the green girl before him was enough to make his guts churn. His shot at the throne, like that'd ever be gone. What would they do? Jess certainly couldn't rule over it, and there was no steward to step in as royalty. If they found another way to end the war without marriage, then he'd be snug in the all mighty throne with a crown on his head in no time. With a serpent bride beside him to give him a pure blood heir, no questions. Now, as troublesome and hindering as women were, it would be nice to have one on the side for the basics.
But as it was, for the moment, it was two against one. At Rem's response, Zane lazily gazed back over to her. No, she was nothing in physical or mental appearance compared to Kayden. And yet here she was claiming his attention. Why? He didn't know, and didn't particularly want to find out. "Kayden, I don't see Moonshard. Don't tell me he's staying at your castle?"❝ιf тнιѕ ρℓα¢є ωєяє ∂єєρ ιиѕι∂є тнє єαятн. . . ι ωσυℓ∂ иσт уєαяи fσя α ѕυи ι иєνєя києω.❞ ≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡ τhε รєгקєภt ㄕЯⅰиς∑tเ๓є, it's been so løṉģ And now there's noтнιng to say I'm trying ṡø hαɾḋ to find the words to ѕαу I'm tired of вeιng, now I'm something I'm ภ๏t

A majestic white stallion, his white coat shimmering with freshly fallen snow, stepped elegantly toward a crystalline castle. Perched atop the stallion was a white cloaked figure. The cloak appeared to be made of snow itself, yet radiated warmth. The figure was hooded, and only a shadow of the man's chin was exposed to the chill. Striding next to the horse was a silver dappled snow leopard, its muzzle stained crimson. The very air surrounding the trio chilled as they entered the coutyard, the frigidity dipping even lower. Behind the stallion, a crystal ice sled was gliding across the snow and ice, a pure white stag lying lifeless across it. An ice arrow was rooted deep in its chest; crimson blood bloomed and stained its starkly white chest. The rider raised his head and lowered his hood, halting his steed. Pale flaxen hair fell toward his shoulders; frosty gray-blue eyes raked the courtyard analytically. Truly, he dreaded going inside. His hunt was successful. He had taken a good few hours away from the Fae Kingdom's palace, the place where he resided, but did not call home. The only reason it would be considered the prince's home because his beloved sister lived there as well. Oh, Rathina... Thina... I wish I could get the both of us out of this torment...
Prince Kierran dismounted his steed gracefully, in one fluid motion. He led the horse around the castle, letting the stable grooms take him. Initially, he wouldn't let anyone other than himself take care of his horse, but the stag also needed to be tended and Kierran had caught a glimpse of the king's advisor asking around for him. Kierran needn't any explanation; he already knew the panic that rose inside the palace. Yet another reason for his reluctance. If he entered the palace, then he would be forced to accept his fate: his marriage would be locked into place with the Witch Princess. He also knew that Rathina was not happy. That was why she was hiding; he could feel it. The Fae Prince reached down to pat his snow leopard, Mystique. He could feel the tension coiling in her muscles; she could also feel his stress. Mystique wasn't his pet, nor anyone else's: she was simply his hunting partner and his companion. The snow leopard had a terrible temper and tolerated no one but Kierran, and sometimes Rathina. Mystique knew better than to mess with Kierran's sister. The prince had a terrible temper.
Squaring his shoulders, taking a deep breath, and arranging his face in his customary apathetic icy facade, Kierran strode up the ice steps to the palace, setting one strong hand to the doors and pushing them open. It was time to find Rathina and accept his accursed fate. The note he received from the Queen had been short and concise. When Kierran first received the letter, he was outraged. How dare they?!! The Council, nor the Queen, could tell the ice prince what to do. He was independent; he was his own boss. He refused to accept that he was fated to be married to the Witch Princess. Why her, of all people? She was nothing but irritable and prideful: the two most catastrophic traits in any queen. But no. The Council was determined to torture Kierran. Absolutely nothing was going to change Kierran's opinion of the weak Witch Princess; she was nothing without her magic. The only one who could melt Kierran's icy demeanor was his sister, and the Witch Princess would be no different. She was nothing to him.
The first thing to reach the prince's ears was the shrieks of the household servants. Something about being unable to find the princess. Sighing, Kierran raked a hand through his flaxen hair. Mystique padded silently behind him, and his white cloak had yet to be removed from his shoulders. His icy sword hung at his side. A panicked woman rushed up to the prince, a look of fear but obedience in her eyes. Kierran held up a hand before she could speak. He focused his coldly distant eyes on her, and the air around them began to drop even lower. The maid shivered; Kierran smiled very subtly. "I am aware of Rathina's disappearance, woman. Resume your duties," Kierran ordered, and without another word- or glance- Kierran strode down the main palace hallway. He halted at a smaller door, which led into another hallway, which was the nobles' quarters. After two more turns and hallways, Kierran reached an elegantly crafted white door which led to his sister's quarters. He silently pushed the door open and strode in, his boots nearly silent on the floor. With a single wave of his hand, he dismissed all the servants searching the room for his sister.
Kierra gently shut the wardore door, then sank down on the couch in her room. The door was shut securely, and he knew his sister was in here. He knew her extremely well, as she did he. The snow leopard gracefully laid down, her head near Kierran's knees. The fae prince lowered his head into his hands, a very rare gesture of frustration. He caught a glimpse of the Queen's letter lying on Rathina's pillow, and the tear stains did not escape his notice. The princess was just as pained as he. Kierran sighed, letting his icy mask fall away, revealing the distraught young man that only his sister was permitted to see. The letter was the finality of it, then. It really was happening. Two royal siblings from each kingdom were going to be forced together like dogs thrown together and forced to get along. I hope no one gets killed…. Kierran thought bitterly. He normally wasn’t this negative; everything was weighing heavily on the young man’s shoulders. He let out a deep throated sigh, quietly, and closed his eyes.
“We can’t hide forever, Thina. As much as I wish that this whole damn thing would just disappear, we must accept our fate. We must show the other kingdoms that we are not weak. We are running late as it is, and you must know that I don’t want to go just as much as you,” Kierran murmured, his eyes still closed against his fists. Mystique rose from her prone position, her tail rustling on the rug. Her crystal blue eyes searched the room, settling on the wardrobe. Rather, beneath it. She blinked once, then leaned her lithe body against Kierran’s leg. The prince lifted his head, scrubbed a hand through his hair, and stood. He settled his cloak back on his shoulders, and set them squarely. Kierran reached for Rathina’s cloak, digging his fingers into the soft cloth. “Come on, Thina. Let’s get this over with.” Exhaustion and stress weighted his tone. Yet he was also desperately worried for his younger sister. He had been raised to protect his younger siblings, and Thina was closest to him. She was and always would be his baby sister, and he was and always would be her noble protector. He truly did love his sister more than anything in the world. Nothing would ever separate them.
There was no way that the Fae Kingdom was going to be the latest. If the Council wanted to slap the kingdoms together like a patchwork quilt, so be it. But it could come apart at the seams.

Rathina meekly crawled out of her hiding spot as a bulge appeared from underneath her bed, which soon revealed an Arctic fox, the Fae Princess's companion; Yuki. The fox had been too big to hide with Rathina, but didn't want to be left out to deal with the servants who would undoubtedly ask for the vixen to "sniff out" the had-been-missing Princess. “Come on, Thina. Let’s get this over with.”
The five inch tall pixie didn't say anything immediately, and didn't grow in size; still too emotionally unstable to attempt that. Rathina choose to fly up to her favorite brother, settling on Kierran's shoulder. She was shivering slightly as she tried to get a hold of herself; she had to be brave and tackle this arrangement as mature as possible. But right now, she was too upset at the Queen and the Council, who threw this news so suddenly randomly at her - Rathina had never saw it coming before.
She had noticed her clock in her brother's hand, but she scooted closer to her brother's neck. Rathina managed to mumble, her voice trembling and barely audible, "Can.... can I stay here, for a little while longer? I'll get off before we arrive..."

His eyes widened slightly as a white head poked out, followed by a snowball body. Mystique raised her head, decided it wasn’t worth the effort, and let out a sigh as she laid her head back down. Kierran smiled at his tiny sister crawling out from underneath her wardrobe. He could always find some amusement in the trouble her ability to shrink and hide caused for the household staff. The prince pulled his hood away from his shoulder to make room for his sister as she flew up to his neck. He reached a hand up to absently stroke his beloved sister’s wings, a security gesture. Kierran could always find some sort of haven with his sister; her presence always calmed his frayed nerves and his icy temperament. Kierran angled his head so he could hear Rathina’s soft voice. To him, her voice was music; it was everything that he needed at times. He had heard stories of love tales where the two lovers only needed each other; it was the same for Kierran. Most times, his refuge was his sister. Growing up protecting her and playing with her, always acting as the guardian older brother he was, he had grown to love his baby sister more than anything in the world.
“Of course you may,” Kierran whispered to his sister, and rose gracefully to his feet. He slipped Rathina’s cloak into his own, and swept Yuki into his arms. If there was anything that he knew Rathina couldn’t live without, it was her tiny Arctic fox. He nestled Yuki into the warm folds of his cloak, then pulled up his hood. He arranged the hood with one hand around his sister, shielding her from wind and snow that they would encounter on their journey. With the fox in his arms and his sister tucked safely in the crook of his neck, Kierran strode to the entrance to the hallway from his sister’s chambers. He pushed open the door and stepped into the white hallway, Mystique rising from her spot on the rug to meet him. Kierran acknowledged none of the staff on his exit. His icy mask was in place once more. Within moments, Kierran had exited the palace and was on his way through the courtyard. With one final glance around at the surrounding he has resided in for the nineteen years of his life, Kierran unfurled his wings. Purely white, the color of snow, his wings were large and wispy, more like snowflakes than feathers. His essence was woven into his wings, the chill of his soul.
Kierran tucked the fox tighter to his body, then formed a storm gray ice cloud with his breath for Mystique to ride on. There was no way in hell that he was going to leave his leopard here. Because she lacked the wings that Kierran and his sister possessed, and she was too heavy to carry, Kierran had been able to find a way to have his leopard accompany him to places below their sky-kingdom. Kierran waited a moment for Mystique to leap onto the cloud, and with one final leap, plunged downward into the green trees below of the Nymph Kingdom.
A little while later, Kierran let his wings carry him downward. He wasn’t sure how he knew where the prison was, but he found it nonetheless. The castle loomed mighty against the sky, welcoming yet foreboding all at once. Kierran brought a gloved hand down in a sweep of a motion, and the cloud that Mystique had ridden on descended from the sky to melt into a puddle on the manicured ground. Kierran lowered his hood, feeling the air chill around him. He gazed with frosty silver eyes upon the structure before the group. Gently, Kierran set Yuki down on the grass, watching with sardonic amusement as the grass withered and frosted at his feet. It was good to be ice. The fae prince squared his shoulders and set his jaw, his eyes darkening with hatred, and placed one white boot after another as he approached the castle. The marble steps looked elegant before him, yet he hated them as well. Everything about this place he hated. The very conception screamed at Kierran to take hi sister and return to his kingdom, remain in the realm of his power and rule. However, knowing that these thoughts would prove weak, Kierran strode up the steps, strength radiating from his very essence. His well toned muscles coiled beneath his skin in anger. Yet he kept all his emotions carefully in check behind a wall of ice. Mystique strode elegantly beside him, her teeth flashing in the light. Her tail lashed angrily; she could feel that her prince wasn’t appeased in the least. Pressing a white gloved hand to the door, Prince Kierran paused a moment, looking at Rathina momentarily for support. They both needed each other. Focusing back on the doors, Kierran sent a blast of chilled air into the castle, shook his pale hair from his face, and shoved the doors open with the force of a lion. This was it. The entrance to the rest of his life, tortured every step of the way.
Nobody said it was easy.

The snake prince looked like he wanted to strangle her, beat her, burn her at the stake. Soren looked anything but happy with everything she had just said, but his lips did not move. He spoke nothing. Either because he was at a loss of words (not likely) or because Kayden was there (she suspected this more to be truth) the Crown Prince of the Serpent Kingdom was silent. For now, she would take this as her first won battle of many. Remember took down her defensive stance and let her eyes roam around the castle. Though she was exposing her neck, she doubted any heinous acts of murder would be committed, at least not on the first day. From the front two doors, it had two stair cases on opposing sides curling up the floors. Beyond them stretched out to be more and more rooms until pristeen glass cut off the hallway. Past the sliding glass door was white marble floors, like the steps up into the castle, and a pool with a background of brown and green. Her spirits perked up at this.
Her emotions weren't high for very long before a loud swoosh and thud made her jump four feet in the air. Green hair spun around, slapping her in the face and the side of the neck, when she turned her head unexpectedly to see where the noise had come from. A knowingly grin slid across her face. How many times could she remember being scared by the same door opening manor? How many times had she seen other staff at the Air Kingdom shake their heads at such a rucas? "Kierran!" Her voice rang in delight, shouting his name. Remember could careless about Soren or Kayden standing there. Now it was her turn to have friends there, and she'd want nothing more to see that cold hard face with soft blue eyes or a pixie like body with short cropped pink hair. Her eyes darted around expectantly around the prince. Laughing to herself when she saw her best friend.
Wisteria skipped her way to the man at the door, giving him a familiar hug. A slight growl rumbled from the right. Her green eyes shot down to see Mystique. The Nymph stepped back from the Fairy, enclosed her fist and offered her hand to the snow leopard. As usual, she felt the brush of a wet nose sniffing her skin, and the white furred animal backed up slowly from her. That animal never had warmed up to the princess. Only once had she ever gotten to pet the beautiful beast, and unfortunately she couldn't even remember what she had done to be able to do that. Her big eyes glanced up at Kierran. To her, his face was friendly and his very being there comforted her. To others, he probably looked just like the terrain of the Fae Kingdom; cold and hard. Remember and his sister Rathina had befriended each other quickly, and for some reason the Nymph always looked up to her friends brother. Maybe it was just that childs phase of chasing him around with his little sister, pretending they were hunting the hunter. In all honestly, Wisteria didn't know if he considered her a friend or not. He could only be acting friendly for his sisters sake, but that was fine to her. She would always be his friend when he ever needed her.
"Rathina," Her voice dragged and a sad smile now appeared, looking towards her unusually small friend. Remember didn't want to be there, and see how big the Fae princess was, it looked like Rath was taking it harder then she was. "Did she go missing again?" She asked, eyes sliding back to the prince, knowing her predictable, but loving, friend.

Rathina's small hand reached out to touch her brother's now large finger as they stroked her thin, feathery wings. She smiled gratefully at her brother as he picked up the fluffy Arctic fox, she leaned over as her lips brushed the side of Kierran's face. It was then only moments later before the two left for their trip to their new prison home, and in the Fae Princess's opinion, that trip was simply just too short. She wanted to stay close to her brother, but she promised him that she would get off. So once Kierran set Yuki on the ground, Rathina flew off his shoulder pet her fox on the head, but she was soon up in the air again, choosing to keep to the vicinity of her older brother for that sense of security she always got whenever he was around.
Her brother's entrance into the castle was nothing short of what she expected, and slate blue eyes soon locked on to her dear nymph friend, who soon came over to the Fae siblings. Rathina was very grateful that her brother put up with Remember, since the faerie had desperately needed someone just to be girls with. All the other Fae in the Kingdom were too scared of the Prince.
"Rathina. Did she go missing again?"
The girl in question shifted nervously in the air as she forced a tentative light giggle, she scratched her cheek with her finger as she replied, "You...you can say that... How are you faring, Ember?"

The green eye girled smiled. Looking to her friend. Watching her move from Kierran to the fox then back in sight flying around. "Oh, you know. I'm here and there." She said happily. Her face suddenly shadowed and her eyes glanced to Soren. "And then I got here." Her voice was tense as she thought of what this proposal was supposed to bring. It was supposed to bring happiness and equal nations that could survive with each other peacefully. Yeah. Right. Soren had too much of a burr up his butt to ever get off his high-horse and pull it out. If anything they would only ever be able to reguard each other, and this is a reach, as actual people with feelings.
Soren wasn't completely stupid. Though he lacked anything but hatred and spite on the emotional spectrum, he was smart enough to know when fighting would not do anything to help. "The dignity of truth is lost with much protesting". Sooner or later he would realize that it was pointless to argue a fact that she knew as well, even though the Council nor parents would listen to either voice. Wisteria was not without her knowledge of how to manage people and war like he thought. When her father went missing in no-mans land, it wasn't her brother or mother to step up and go look for him. It was her. She gathered a search group and headed it herself, taking them out to look for the king. Two people she had killed that day, but she hated to acknowledge the fact that she actually took a life. The first one had been speared by a branch sitting not too far off from where they stood. The second had caught her by surprise, and really she did not remember how it came to be. All she knew was that after being tackled, seconds later they were in a hold. His shins cutting off her air around her throat, and her thighs around his throat cutting off his air. The soldier was large and rather clunky, and soon she felt her head feeling woozy. As a last resort, she had tucked one leg under another around his neck, and felt the crack against her inner thighs. She'd broken his neck and hadn't through twice about it. Both men had been soldiers of the demon army. Remember continued on and eventually found her father with a stab wound to the side far up in an oak tree. The princess was not oblivious to the things that she had done, however. During their search party one man had taken an arrow to the head, her first casulty. After being home and alone in her room she mourned for the love she had lost from her own kingdom, and the life she had taken and for his family and friends who wouldn't know for months what had become of him.
After that, and after confiding in her father what she had done, the king took more oppertunities to teach his daughter about the kingdom and how things worked. She sat with her father during council meetings, sat with him in the parlour while he worked, and even created a few laws and events of her own. The father and daughter had studied other kingdoms together, and she even found a few caves of her own to infultrate from that had minimal security (though she found these on her own and not by the maps, but her father didn't know that). Rathina would be fit to rule as well. The Nymph wasn't sure if her Fae friend had any active work done, but she seemed to be a natural at everything she did. Kind and considerate, the Demon and Fae kingdoms would surely love her truly.
"And how are you my dear friend?"

Remember was a lot like Rathina, and because she was her best friend, Kierran has learned to enjoy the princess's company as well. Remember was definitely the only other royal who had seen Kierran's true nature behind his icy walls. Kierran trusted the girl, and if Rathina was happy, then Kierran was happy as well. The fae prince released the girl from the circle of his arms, letting his frosty eyes drop to his leopard as his icy walls popped back up, erasing the barely momentary show of barely detectable kindness and care towards anything other than his sister. Kierran kept his gaze level with Mystique. After Remember relocated her focus toward his sister, Kierran let his gaze wander the remained of the entryway. Prince Soren of the Serpent Kingdom was there, as was Kierran's future fiancee- insert revulsion here- the Witch Princess Kayden. Kierran's icy gaze raked them both, forcing another chill into the room, dropping the temperature more than a few degrees.
Kierran squeezeed his sister's shoulder momentarily, then stepped away to let her converse with her friend. Kierran moved his way toward the main hallway, Mystique padding noiselessly next to him. The prince delibately ignored the others. The faint thud of his boots echoed in the awkward silence between Soren and Kayden, and Kierran could feel the tension sparking and crackling amongst the two. It appeared that Kayden had only recently gotten there, and there was evidence to show that Soren had been there probably as one of the first. The ice prince looked around the large palace, his face arranged in a careful blank mask. He appeared nonchalant and indifferent despite the tension, granduer, and overall overwhelmingness of the entire castle. Yet there seemed to be absolutely no household staff. Kierran continued into the hallway, mist writhing around his sword, and Mystique's tail swishing by his side. He peered down the hallway, then up at the spiraling staircases. He caught a glimpse of a pool of water outside a clear glass wall, as well as a forest landscape framing it. He chuckled; only to himself, for no one was permitted to see; Remember would surely be happy.
However, he began to wonder. Where there any hunting grounds? WHere there any sparring grounds? One thing that Kierran refused to go without was his sparring practice and matches. And what other brilliant opportunity than to pratice lethal moves than on those whom he loathed? It seemed almost unreal, the objective of the entire situation. With that thought, anger pushed his blood back to a boil, and forced his stress and hatred into overdrive. There was no way that the Queen or the Council coulld keep him or anyone else trapped in this castle. As nice as it was, Kierran preferred the iciness and chill of his own palace. Despite his lack of court appearance, Kierran was trained in royal tradition. His father and mother were both immersed in politics, and their tendencies to search with such meticulation for weakness in their victims sickened him. His father had taught him to hear the nobles out and to attempt to find diplomatic solutions, but in other cases, searching was futile. The fae king was the young prince's mentor; he taught him in the art of swordfighting and archery, the sport of hunting. Battle moves were perfected under the fae king's instruction. Kierran became feared as the fiercest and most ruthless warrior in the entire kingdom. But it wasn't just the danger of his weaponry that made him fearsome. It was his apparent apathy, his apparent indifference. At all times, other than deep within his own provate chambers, he was nothing more than a breathing ice sculpture. Sure, he was flesh and blood, but there was nothing but ice coursing through his veins.
Kierran turned back toward the entryway. His frosted eyes flicked toward his sister and Remember, conversing near the door. His gaze then traveled to Soren, the Serpent Prince. Since Kierran was never- or at least hardly ever- at Council meetings or court, the fae prince had never formally met the serpent prince. Of course, Kierran felt the same apathy bordering on hatred for Soren, as he did for nearly every royal, but that was what he was taught. The other kingdoms were less then the fae kingdom. the fae kingdom was the most powerful. But sometimes Kierran found himself wondering if it was all worth it. For all of the effort putting in to proving that the fae were better, hating the other kingdoms, was it all worth it? What was the benefit? However, the thoughts never rattled around Kierran's mind for long, because he always reminded himself that whenever he confronted another royal, they hated him as much as he they. They all wanted his power, and that also put Rathina in danger. And when Kierran's princess was in danger, nothing could stop the ice prince from destroying all those who threatened or endangered his sister. Protecting was his nature.
Kierran leaned against the wall, watching. Waiting. Mystique settled herself next to him. Watching. Waiting.

☽Ɉess Ͻody☾ Jess's eyes had been wondering around looking at the grand castle. She had not left her brother's side to go look around herself. She felt it would be inappropriate to leave at the moment. She let a soft sigh escape from her. Her mother must have thought that this would be a great joke if she could expect Jess to fall in love with a Nymph. She knew Soren would want her to suffer with him, but she didn't take offence in that knowledge. To her it was acknowledgement that they were in this together. She was only snapped out of her thought process when she heard Soren's comment.
How long had the Nymph and Soren been at each other's throat? It was obviously too long. She could see the rage in Soren's eyes. That girl was lucky he didn't try to kill her there and then. She didn't say anything to Soren, but stayed close by. Jess actually never said much to begin with. Her sentiments about having to court with these Nymphs was the same as Zane's but she wasn't as forward about it. How could some half nymph-half snake contribute anything to their kingdom? As far as she was aware, as soon as all this was over she was to head back to the Nymph Kingdom with their prince and Zane would stay home.
Just thinking about home made her long to explore the caves again. Inside those dark caverns she felt most at home. This place was so unfamiliar and bright! Now that her eyes were officially adjusted to this bright light, she began to look around everywhere. The castle was impressive indeed, but as she looked up the walls she could feel her heart become disenchanted. This wasn't going to be like home at all. Her facial expression hadn't changed with her thoughts or emotions. She didn't want to seem like a wreck in front of her brother. She had to face this with a brave face.
Jess caught sight of someone from the corner of her eye. She didn't stare, but she used her peripheral vision to see who it was. There was a figure leaning on a wall, watching the Nymph princess and the Fea princess. From his appearance she figured it must have been the Fea prince. Jess had always had a small infatuation with him, but her facial expression didn't change. She simply pretended not to notice he was there. Besides, she was here on business and not for personal reasons. She directed her attention to Kayden. There was someone both her and Zane could talk to and have a civilized conversation. She took note of her brother's comment and looked around. It was true that Moonshard wasn't there. It seemed rather odd for that wolf not to be at her side.
"That is very strange." Jess stated half to herself and half in the actual conversation. It was very unusual not to see Moonshard near Kayden.((sorry about the lack of decoration. Things got really busy so I'll just post now))

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX{{ Now the dark begins to riseXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXSave your breath, it's far from over XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXLeave the lost and dead behindXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXNow's your chance to run for cover . . .XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXAll is lost again, but I'm not giving in XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXI will not bow, I will not breakXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXI not fall, I will not fadeXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXI will take your breath away Rebellious Witch Princess A soft smile spread across the Witch Princess' face as Soren addressed her. Kayden had always enjoyed his company ever since they had first met. Him and his sister were one of her only friends, minus Moonshard and his pack. She always valued the Serpent Prince's and Princess' advice. If her brother decided to be lazy and never show up then she'd spend her time with Soren and Jess. Remember and the Fae royals weren't worth her time. Kayden clenched her jaw as Remember spoke to Soren. Well, didn't someone think she was Miss-High-and-Mighty. Kayden resisted the urge to roll her eyes and was glad Soren showed no reaction the Nymph's words. Oh why did their parents have to be so cruel? It wasn't like she was marrying someone she could at least tolerate. Kayden had to admit that the Nymph Prince wasn't all that bad but she still didn't really like him. Though any prince would have been better than the Fae Prince. Of course she got paired with the worst prince in all the kingdoms. However, that wasn't the worst part in Kayden's eyes. The worst part was that it was likely that she would no longer be allowed to live in the Demon Kingdom. Her parents would probably give the throne to her brother, even though she was older, and she'd be shipped off to the Fae Kingdom. She'd be forced to live in that icy, cold, bitter hell while her brother would be allowed to live in their home kingdom. It just seemed unfair to the princess. She had been completely loyal to the kingdom her whole life, even when it hadn't been her duty, as stated by blood, to do so, and this was how they repaid her. However, Kayden wasn't giving up the Witch Kingdom throne without a fight. Maybe her brother could see reason.
However, after all that was said and done, it still wasn't the worst part for Kayden, though all of it caused the worst to happen. The worst thing that came out of this marriage was that she'd probably have to leave her dear packmate, Moonshard, behind in the Witch Kingdom. He was a wolf who had been born and raised in the rocky terrain of the Demon Kingdom. It would be beyond cruel to take him with her to her new home in hell, even though Kayden knew the loyal wolf would follow after her without a second thought. Though it would also mean separating Moonshard from his pack, another thing Kayden could not bring herself to do. The pack was like a family to her and she felt that both her and Moonshard belonged there. She knew it would crush the wolf to be torn away from them. And that meant she'd have to leave her dear friend behind when she left, and that would break the storng princess. There weren't many things that could crack the witch's strong wall, but Moonshard and the wolves were one of the few things that could. Moon was Kayden's constant, the one thing that never changed. He was always with her, always at her side, always there to comfort her. She honestly wasn't sure what she'd do without him. It would truly break her to pieces. Probably not right away, but slowly, bit by bit, she would start to crumble without her packmate. It was when Soren addressed her once again that Kayden remembered that Moonshard hadn't been with her at all this morning. It had been weird.
Turning to face the Serpent Prince, Kayden also noticed that his sister, Jess, had finally arrived. Good, now Kayden didn't feel completely alone in this situation. She'd have Jess and Soren by her the entire time, and hopefully Moonshard. "Hey Jess. You as excited about this situation as I am?" she asked sarcastically, smiling slightly at the Serpent Princess. She then turned her attention to both the prince and princess of the Serpent Kingdom before she spoke again. "I don't actually know. He wasn't beside me when I woke this morning. I do hope my parents didn't use this as an excuse to get rid of him," she said, running a hand through her hair. Her parents had never approved of the fact that Kayden kept an "untamed, unpredictable, and dangerous" animal in the castle. Sure so Moonshard tried to attack people at first, mainly those Kayden didn't like, but he was a great companion when someone took the time to get to know him. Besides, Moon was completely loyal to her and if she told him not to do something, he normally wouldn't do it. However, Kayden held the same respect for him and his pack. She was loyal to her packmate and would never abandon him. Curiously, she glanced around the room she currently stood in, hoping to spot her dear friend. Her worry slowly started to escalate until she almost dropped her gaze in defeat, but she didn't. No, she kept her composure and tried to act like nothing was bothering her. However she was worried that her adoptive parents had really gotten rid of the lovely wolf. Kayden would never forgive them if that was truly what they did. If it was true, Kayden would probably march out of those large doors right away and go and find Moonshard. She wasn't going through this torture without him.
A happy barked caught her full attention just as the doors opened once again to reveal the Fae Prince and Princess. At that moment, however, Kayden took no notice in the arrival of the Fae Kingdom and instead turned around, hoping her ears weren't playing tricks on her. Joy filled her veins as her gray eyes caught sight of the black figure standing at the entrance of the hall. His ears were pricked, tail wagging, and tongue hanging slightly out of his mouth. Amber eyes bore into her and Kayden didn't even try to hide the smile that spread across her face. The figure then charged happily toward her and Kayden knelt down to catch the figure in her arms. She gripped the furred figure tightly in her arms and buried her face in its pelt. "Oh Moonshard, there you are! I was worried my parents had gotten rid of you," she exclaimed, smiling against the wolf's fur. She could hear Moonshard's tail wagging rapidly against the floor and his teeth began to gently pull at her hair. She ran her hands through the wolf's jet black fur and pulled back slightly so she could stare into the wolf's striking amber orbs. Moonshard stared back at her and gave her a soft lick on the cheek. Even though the two had no way of communicating, Kayden still believed they understood each other. They had a bond strong enough that they didn't need words to communicate. Though she still found herself talking to the wolf quite often. From the ground, the princess stared back up at Jess and Soren, still smiling. "Guess I was worried for nothing. He's not going anywhere," she said, pulling Moonshard close to her. At least, he wasn't going anywhere now and, until the day came when they would be torn apart, Kayden would cherish each second she held with him.
And so, Kayden stood up and her smile slowly faded. Though she felt Moonshard come to stand right by his side, a low growl rising in his throat. At first Kayden didn’t understand the wolf's bitterness, he liked Soren and Jess, but then her gaze traveled toward the door and she finally understood. Standing near the doorway was none other than the prince from hell, Kierran. The Witch Princess didn't even notice Rathina for her gaze was locked on the Fae Prince instead, who was also her fiancée. Kayden's eyes visibly narrowed and she clenched her jaw. How she loathed the prince. He hand fell to the hilt of her sword and she really was tempted to cause him some damage. However that could wait. Though her hand still remained gripped on her sword's hilt. She also had her bow and arrows on her back. She had come prepared for any situation besides she hadn't intended to slack off on her training. She had even brought her throwing daggers along as well. Her gray-blue gaze was still locked on the Fae Prince. She honestly couldn't stand him and now she was going to have to marry him. This so wasn't going to turn out well. Kayden had no interest in trying to be nice to the prince, since he wasn't worth her time. Hopefully she'd be able to avoid him as much as possible, maybe then the time here wouldn't be as bad, as long as she managed to stay away from Kierran that is. Now it seemed like everyone was here except her own brother and the Nymph Prince. Kayden silently wondered what they were to do next but she saw no need to voice her opinion. She was actually quite content standing here silently with Moonshard, Soren and Jess. If only it could stay like this forever, however life wasn't kind and now it was time for the fires of hell to fully erupt. Let the games begin...XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX{{ Watch the end through dying eyesXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXNow the dark is taking over XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXShow me where forever diesXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXTake the fall and run to Heaven . . .XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXAll is lost again, but I'm not giving in XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXI will not bow, I will not breakXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXI not fall, I will not fadeXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXI will take your breath away

It was about time. Still, he couldn't stand the fact that the Faes came so early, no one, not even his quiet little sister, or the ever beautiful Kayden could calm his dread. The Prince, Kierran was someone to be feared, but most of all, admired. Though he wouldn't admit it aloud, the rumours about the Ice Prince was something he enjoyed listening about. The sister, on the other hand. She was a baby, even more so than his fiancé. And annoying. She was too cheerful, all considered. The snake had to stifle a shudder from the change in temperature, envious of his sister for not being so susceptible to changes in the temperature. Even the slightest change was enough to alert his weak body. The last thing he wanted was to change into a feverish snake with a migraine the size of God. Folding his toned arms against his chest, the black silk rustling ever so slightly, Soren clenched his pale fists, wishing the Prince of his enemies would drown in his sorrow elsewhere. Some people were sensitive to the frosty air he held. And Kayden was to marry him. That was enough to send his blood boiling again.
From what he could hear over the girls' chatter, the other male had moved to behind them. It was so bright out here, Zane was going to have to rely on his other senses for awhile. His irises couldn't adjust even if he tried. Excluding his sister and friend beside him, most things were a blur. The stairs looked like a death trap, and any detail the current Kings and Queens had worked into the area went unappreciated by him. If his pride wasn't so high, the brunette would have taken out his glasses, however that would only fuel another round between him and 'Miss Nymph.' At some point in his reverie, Moonshard had returned to his Master's side, never happier it appeared. While the wolf didn't mind the Prince's presence, the feeling wasn't mutual. He had onetime transformed into a snake one venture to the dry lands, and Moon thought he would be the perfect playmate. Ugh. Never again would he repeat that episode. "Moonshard, it's been awhile."
As Kayden's slender hand clenched her weapon, Soren extended his own, but didn't touch her. None of them should have been fighting. He was guilty, of course, but he shouldn't be. They were here to end the fighting, and as much as he didn't want to admit it, he was sick of hearing news of what soldier died in what platoon, who was missing and the whispers of the serpents living under him. If he could, he'd be back out at the war, alongside his mother. But his health seemed to fade too often to be on the battlefield back lines for more than a few days. "Why don't we find a place to spar? We could all use a release." The stoic young man met the two Princess' gazes. He wasn't at his greatest, but it wasn't like either were ignorant to his "condition" as few referred, and would push his limits. Limits like transforming into an average sized snake due to fatigue, or a towering six foot one reptile able to easily crush and occasionally poison the enemy. He'd only done it once, and there was an antidote to the poison, but since that event, Soren neglected to fully control his transformations, whereas Jess could control everything about her heritage. He was proud to have her as a sister. Another brief glance told him she wasn't okay with anything that was going on. "It'll be fine. Everything will work out." He assured in a murmur, soft enough to miss if not paying attention.
Not only would the spar relieve their nerves, it would also allow them to explore their new place to stay --it couldn't be called a home-- and give him a chance to get out of the cooling foyer. Not to mention ponder why that damned Nymph could get under his skin so easily. Not even the Fae Princess could do that, and she was the epitome of opposite compared to him. Perhaps it was because Remember became the bane of his existence mere weeks ago, and here she was, acting as if none of this was a big deal. Like there were no other alternatives aside from being eternally despondent.❝ιf тнιѕ ρℓα¢є ωєяє ∂єєρ ιиѕι∂є тнє єαятн. . . ι ωσυℓ∂ иσт уєαяи fσя α ѕυи ι иєνєя києω.❞ ≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡ τhε รєгקєภt ㄕЯⅰиς∑tเ๓є, it's been so løṉģ And now there's noтнιng to say I'm trying ṡø hαɾḋ to find the words to ѕαу I'm tired of вeιng, now I'm something I'm ภ๏t
