Sammy couldn't make out what was happening, something moved towards her thin and narrow, lots of them and suddenly, the color was fading, everything was vanishing the color was fading turning to darkness.
Cricket was eating her eyeballs!
Sammy flinched but didn't step away, it oddly didn't hurt, but the knowledge of what Cricket was doing was rather unsettling either way. Slowly the world came back piece by piece, fading in but tinted ever so slightly with a purple color before coming into focus again.
Her eyes where indeed not normal, between Cricket and Sammy's own FEAR something new was filling Sammy's head. Suddenly it was clear again, Sammy could see. Her fingers gently touched the edge of her eyes, and she would turn to look past Cricket towards a mirror, eyes going wide.
Her purple glowing eyes. They seemed to flicker, a faint lighter purple outlining what used to be the iris and other internal bits to the eye looking back. Well that explained some of the purpleness.
"What the Jack." She said as she moved to get a closer look at the glowing purple 'eyes' in her head.

Siddie pressed her fingers to her lips in an attempt to keep herself from squeaking as Cricket's hair burrowed into Sammy's eyes, doing something. Sammy had chosen this, she reminded herself, and it would return the zombie ghoul's vision, and it didn't seem to be hurting her. It was still an unsettling sight, and not quite in the good way.
When Cricket's hair subsided, Sammy's eyes had been changed. No. Replaced. Siddie couldn't quite restrain a tiny gasp. As long as Sammy was okay -- but it would take some time to get used to this.
Suddenly recalling something else, Siddie knelt down and untied the makeshift harness she'd fashioned for the invisible dog. "Good dog," she told it softly, and ruffled its ears. "Thank you."

Vlad whimpered happily at Siddie's patting before settling at a corner, turning around before laying down and presumably going to sleep; if she said 'good dog', that must mean that he did good, right?
"I'm going to check the situation outside," He frowned at the change in music and the loud noises, looking away from the nurse and students; as usual, Cricket managed to fix the problem without much hassle, "If you're feeling better, you should come too." No such thing as 'rest' apparently.

Again Sammy glanced around the room taking everything in for the first time again. It wasn't like she had been blinded long, but it was rather strange to see again differently then you had been used to. Especially after Cricket slowly ate your eyes up. That wasn't painful, but strange and spine shivering was definitely on the list of feelings.
She couldn't help but smile just a bit at Siddie, "Well a new pair of eyes and you still look as good as ever Sid." She turned to find Vlad in the corner by his rainbow paws, reaching down she offered a pat on the back. "Thank you boy. This sure is a step up from being blind right now."
Finally she turned to Malcolm nodding, "Right behind you but uh," she paused looking at Cricket, "You wouldn't happen to have Pumpkin Pills would you? We haven't been able to find any and others as well as myself had been trying for a while..."

"I may have some.... around here somewhere.." Cricket looked around for a moment before she stood to go out on Malcolm's heels.
"You should take a look around. I'm going to go see how bad the damage is elsewhere."
She didn't really have time to.... dote on two singular students when there may have been more than that needing a hand.[[Exitting to Boss thread!]]

Sammy nodded to the two professors her eyes scanning the room shivering slightly as she adjusted more to the strange new sense of vision...
Everything glowed faintly it seemed, even with the little light it seemed to brighten the room just enough should make out everything in it, she rummaged about poking box after box bottle after bottle and suddenly she found it. A small black pill rolled off the table and bounced once on the floor before Sammy hesitantly scooped it up.
"Thank Jack." Slowly she tucked the pill into her mouth crushing it, her eyes flared with FEAR as her body stitched it's self together, the smell of peppermint finally gone, bones crushed by a rat king tail cracking back into place.
"Siddie, I only found one I'm sorry..." she turned to look at the smaller ghoul sympathy in her eyes. "Please... try and be safe if you can't find a Pill." She looked towards a window, a growing fog. "It's probably bad out there... if you follow me... be careful."
She paused for a long moment.
"I lost you once because I was angry, I don't want to lose you again because something or someone takes you away today." With that she turned running full speed at the window, something was moving, red strings, figures and chaos.
Her body slammed through the thin glass sending her falling....

Siddie had no intention of staying behind, not if she could help - but Sammy's words gave her pause, in the moment before the zombie ghoul leaped out the window and down, reckless and wild as she always was. Siddie couldn't follow, not that way. She didn't have that kind of strength or furious courage.
But perhaps she could make herself useful another way. She set about searching the infirmary. She might be unhurt, but others would certainly be injured.

Nothing, nothing, and more nothing; nothing she could recognize as useful, at any rate. Siddie wasn't about to take anything she didn't know how to use. Particularly not if it belonged to Nurse Cricket.
The glowipede that skittered out from under a box was friendly, but she wasn't taking one of Cricket's bugs with her - what if it got hurt? No, that would be really bad. Siddie shooed it gently back into its hiding spot.

She was losing valuable time, and the sounds she could hear faintly from outside the window made her nervous. If she couldn't find anything, she was going, pumpkin pill or not.
All she found was another glowipede, which she left alone. Before she left the room, she reached back to take Chili out of her hood, placing the drutten on the floor beside the napping invisible dog. "Stay here, it's safer," she whispered to the mini. "And don't eat anything. I'll give you a treat later."
With that, she was out the door, hurrying down the stairs towards the conflict outside.
