Lilygwen gaia_nitemareleft Guess what?! They started to air the series again in the TV! I really like the series and even though the episodes are bit old from where the main series is now, it's still good fun! smile I'm not sure exactly what season they are airing now but I think it's the series 3 since it has the tenth doctor. gaia_angelright Yay! Which companion is it? Series 3 would be Martha.

I love Doctor Who, My doctor is 10, Tennant is a great man..But I always have a soft spot for 9 because he was my first doctor. I really want to watch the original who from '63, but I haven't found the time.

gaia_nitemareleft They stopped airing the Doctor Who on the third season in here. gonk The finale of season three aired out last week and now it's on hiatus. I hope they continue showing the next seasons as well. I already checked the doctor who pages and saw that Donna is the next companion... I'm not sure if I like it but we'll see... if they continue airing the season four. gaia_angelright

Thanks to Netflix, I watched all six seasons in just two weeks in enough time to watch the series 7 premiere. Yeah, I am that hooked.
I love Tennant. Matt makes me giggle, but there is just something about him that I cannot connect to. As for companion, I have a love/hate relationship with Rose. I think it's the chemistry between her and the doctor that I loved. There is something about her that I just do not like though. I wasn't a huge fan of Martha or Donna. Amy can annoy me at times, but I like her..

Well, we've only got a few episodes left with "The Ponds" so I don't think we'll see Brian after they've gone. But I'm super pleased he'll be on next week. The Power of Three looks really good!

I started watching this semester because my roommate was addicted and I wanted to be able to watch the new season with her, and now I'm just as obsessed as she is.
I LOVED Tennant's doctor. The 9th was okay, but I didn't like him all that much, to be honest. The only reason I sat through the first season was because I heard how amazing the 10th doctor was, and holy cow, he exceeded my expectations.
I also ADORED Martha Jones and I was really sad when she left. I was iffy on Donna at first, but I warmed up to her pretty fast. I liked Rose, but not nearly as much as other people do, apparently.
When Tennant left, I was really sad, and I almost didn't want to keep watching, but then I fell in love with Matt Smith's doctor in his first episode. He's no Tennant, but he's also fantastic, and the plots of the episodes got sooooo much better since he's been on the show, I'd be hard pressed to chose my favorite Doctor between the 10th and the 11th.
River Song is my absolute favorite character on the show ever, and I love how her story arc is all out of order because time travel.
I also adored the Ponds and cried during their last episode.
Oof, wow, I just fan girled out there and wrote way too much. Heh.

gaia_nitemareleft They started airing the season four in here! *dances a little happy dance* Of course I could get all the seasons from internet etc. but I want to watch it from the telly. It's part of the experience. whee Oh and I also managed to get my hubby addicted to it so now we can watch it together! Though I have to explain some stuff to him some times but the good thing with Doctor Who is that you don't really require the previous episodes to enjoy it. Of course it gives more substance to some plot things but it's not so critical as in some other tv series. gaia_angelright

They only started showing the new episodes on Space (Canadian sci-fi network) last year. The fourth season is really good! I love Donna.
