Oneia, Green Bishop She walked up to the castle, side-stepping a few weary travelers. She knew what she wanted to talk about, now she just needed to do some research in the study so she can build the backbone.

The king nodded slowly. "Well, it seems to me that a mounted soldier is more effective than one on foot. But sometimes we must make do with what we have."
He reached to pet the muzzle of the poor beast, murmuring soothing sounds. "What have you tried already?" he asked.

"Well, I've tried multiple things. I've given him more rest, I've changed his diet, I even stopped riding him for weeks to see if his strength recovered, but nothing."
Arashi sat down and pulled out her sword. She started sharpening it as she talked. "I do not know what else to try. Maybe it's time to face the facts; I need a new horse."

Oneia, Green Bishop
The bustle of people in the common square caught the woman off her guard. Almost feeling flustered being within the large group, she decided to take a detour to her study. After all, time was of no essence, she would stay the entire night if she had to.
Escaping from the throng, she made her way around the side of the castle. There was a couple in the stables, although she couldn't make out how the taller of the two was, she did recognize the female as one of the king's Knights. The mare behind her wasn't looking too well either.
Oneia slowed down in contemplation, she lips curving downward into a frown.

The king turned around at the footsteps and saw the kindly bishop beyond the open door. He smiled at remembered touching and funny sermons he had heard her give over the years. He enjoyed the thought and care she showed to everyone.
He hailed her with a hearty, "Come join us if you have time, Fair Bishop!"

Oneia, Green Bishop
She paused, recognizing not only the king's face, but also his voice when he hailed her. Her hazel eyes darted from her king to the knight, and then to mare, then back.
Regaining her composure, she smiled, and walked over to the two of them. "To be in your company, I will have the time, your highness." She gave a polite curtsy to him, then turned, doing the same toward Arashi, "As well for you, Madame Knight."
She straightened up, eyes lingering on the horse a moment, before regarding the two others. "How fare the two of you on this day?"

Kina, Green Queen The queen kept one hand on her rather large stomach as she swept through the castle halls. Though the doctors told her that the child could come as early as the following week, Kina refused to change her routine. She promised her husband that she would not take to the field unless it was critical that she do so, and stopped riding her horse Lilian as often. However, not being able to ride the gentle steed did not prevent Kina from tending to her mount every morning. As she reached the stable, she found a small crowd surrounding a rather ill horse. It included her husband, the horse's rider, and one of the court bishops. As it happened, Bishop Oneia had been someone the queen had wished to see that day. "A good morning to all!" Kina said cheerfully, her hand never leaving its protective position over her womb.

The king politely nodded his head to the bishop in returned greeting. "We have an unfortunate situation that perhaps a kind word from you might help ease. This horse is suffering and loved and needed. This brave knight" here indicating Arashi "loves this horse very much."
At the sound of his lovely wife's voice, he turned and smiled. Another note of concern entered his voice as he asked, "How do you feel, my dear?"

Kina, Green Queen "I'm fine, Kris. The child and I are in no danger by simply walking to the stable.", The queen said with a knowing smile before turning and stroking the horse's neck. "Though I'm afraid this one has not been as lucky." Then she smiled at the two others present. "I'm sorry about your steed. Should you require another, my Lilian is as yet riderless, due to my... Present condition," Kina offered Arashi before giving a nod of the head to Oneia, " And I was hoping I could speak with you, Bishop, before you squirelled yourself away to prepare tonight's sermon." The queen gave a jesting smile as she often found that the Bishop was usually scarce the day before a sermon.

Oneia, Green Bishop She nodded, walking over to the horse and placing a gentle hand on the side of the horse, feeling his coarse hair beneath the palm of her hand. Her mind was swirling with the day's events, and as much as she wanted to comfort the Knight, she also wanted to prepare her in the event...
A lilting voice drove her from her thought. She smiled at Queen Kina, and bowed her head at the request. "I would be honored to be in your prescence, m'lady. I request but a moment with this Knight, first."
She slid her hand from the horse's side, and turned toward Arashi. "He is a brave mare, and I am certain he would not desire to make you grieve more for him than you already have. I will seek my tomes for any help that we can afford him." She nodded, offering a warm smile.

Kina, Green Queen "Of course. I shall be tending to my Lilian when you are ready," Kina said gently. She turned and headed to the far end of the stable where her mare lay in order to give the bishop and knight their privacy.Kina silently brushed Lilian and spoke to her softly, telling the horse of her walk through the castle, of how Arashi might have need of Lilian's services, and how worried the king was about her. The mare was an excellent listener, and Kina often spent hours talking to her about everything that came to mind. It was only because Arashi was so obviously an excellent knight that Kina could offer beautiful creature's services.

"Thank you, my dear," the king gently smiled at his beloved queen. He knew he had chosen well when he chose her the previous year to be his bride. She was as kind as she was beautiful. And though he worried, she was proving to be strong in pregnancy, too.
He turned to the bishop and the knight. "And thank you, Bishop Oneia, for your kind words. I hope your search is successful."
He laid an understanding hand on the knight's arm for a moment in sympathy, then with a regal nod, made his way back to his wife to make one more quick check on her before returning to his duties as monarch.
When he reached his wife, he embraced her in the privacy of the stall, with only Lilian to witness. "Are you sure you are fine? Is there anything you need, or want? Perhaps when I return to the castle proper I can ask the cook to make something for you?"

"Thank you," Arashi said, bowing to both the Queen and the Bishop. "I hope you do find a cure. I've had this horse since I was a mere foot soldier, learning how to parry a sword." Arashi's eyes seemed to unfocus as she remembered the good days of learning to ride.

Kina, Green Queen Kina nodded from where she stood at Lilian's stall before turning to Kris once more. "I'm fine, Kris. Really, I am. The cook will make us a wonderful meal, as always, for dinner later. This pregnancy is hardly something to be concerned about, and you know the doctors have assured me that everything is going smoothly. You'll be a proud father before the month is out, and I'll be just as healthy as the new heir,"the queen assured her king, "Calm your caring heart, husband mine and return to the castle. I have some minor business with Bishop Oneia to finish up and then I'll join you for supper."

Oneia, Green Bishop She smiled, and bowed to Arashi. "If it would help take your mind off your worries, I am hoping for some decorations for my next sermon. A substantial number of flowers... Carnations, if you will. Enough to decorate the whole cathedral.. or the pulpit at least." She gave a brief, embarrassed grin, "I'm hoping white, but anything you can find will suffice." The Bishop again took a glance at the mare. "Though, I do understand if you'd rather wait here with him." She straightened and started to turn, heading out of the stall. "The Queen is waiting for me, though, and so I shouldn't delay too long. Rest your soul, brave Knight, for everything will work out the way it was meant to."
She gave her leave to the Knight, and started heading toward Lilian's stall.
