I had to deal with all sorts of crap back in highschool, and now that I'm in college I thought people would be more supportive. Generally they are, but on the other hand they can be a lot more hateful.
Just last weekends one of the guys in my class who I became close friends with started giving major hints that he was into me, and after I told him I was a lesbian he went all bible crazy on me... I told him I'm a catholic and he still went on about how the bible says this and that, and how my choice is wrong and the he will pray for me. (I toned it down A LOT, I was actually crying by the end of the night, but he doesn't have to know that xD)
We're not friends anymore n-n

I hate people who talk like that thinking that they have the right to judge you. Your not me. You have no right at all to think something about me based of empty ideals. If I kiss a girl/guy, whatever. Just the same if you kissed them. SO WHAT IS SO FREAKIN" DISGUSTING?!?! I know. I told my two friends I was Bi, one of them went "Awesome!" while the other started to tell me i'm "wrong" and if i searched my soul I'd find that i was straight. And I quote, "that's what every other person on this earth should do" Needless to say, we're not friends anymore.

I think the most important and amazing thing is that you stood up for yourself, while most people wouldn't (I know I didn't when I was in high school). They never expect you to, so when you do they have sort of an "ah-ha" moment when it happens. They're less likely to pick on someone who is obviously strong and confident. You rock.

Lady Kayura
This reminds me of a picture my cousin posted on Facebook.

On the left it shows two men kissing. On the right shows starving children, their arms are literally nothing but bone.

The caption: If the picture on the left shocks you more than the one on the right, you need to revise your views on immorality.

I think it makes a good point.

OP, lesbian kissing is no more disgusting than gay kissing or straight kissing. It's too bad you go to school with homophobic people. sad

im totally showing that pic to my friend, she'll LOVE it, we can post it around school
Yea it sucks but im determined to change ONE person, if i can, ive succeeded

Ugh. I hate it when ppl say I'm wrong about my choices. There are many lesbian/gay christians out there. In your case you to were torn apart by a religion and by who you love. Thats the opposite of what should be going on. Ugh it makes my mad. But then you realize he is very scared for you and he really cared about your well being, and thats what it really comes down to. Maybe you could explain to him why you are who you are. I personally have never lost a friendship because of being bi. But it just makes me get teary.

Love knows no gender. They're just jealous 'cuz yer girlfriend's prettier than them-
on a more serious (But not quite so serious) note, the sarcasm in this video shows how stupid homophobia really is- I'd show it to them and enjoy their cathartic release. After explaining that it's exactly how they sound to me.

Well those girls are assholes. And it's not easy to change the views of a large number of people, even though we always try. The only good side to grade school homophobia is that school does and will end over time so those who suffer, even though they shouldn't suffer at all, won't suffer long. And hopefully by the time most of the youth gets out of grade school, more and more homophobia will be eliminated.
