[Previous Roll = 7 Because Jin can't add] [6+1=7 + Previous roll [7] = [14] [15+5] Stealth=20
Masa shrugged and said, "I've got a few skills, one of them may be brawn, but I'm also the only one worth a crap for ninjutsu usage and I'm probably the best for disposing of Academy students that don't know their place in the group and like to run their mouths." She continued to look around, rolling her eyes at how this entire thing was rather pointless, why not just blow the place to pieces. She sank back into the darkness of the shadows and awaited the action.

((Jin speaks the truth. I noticed that Gid posted and Jin followed. Gid DID edit his post after Jin posted. Get your facts straight... and Batsu's gonna go in on Masaraku just because you dissed Jin. wink )) Batsu faced forward after Jin made his remark and he couldn't help but laugh. The joke that the young male made hit the mark, which was quite sad to be honest. What drove the point him was Masaraku's snide comment. How dare she? Well, Batsu had had enough and it was time to let her have it. "If you are as great as you say and think that you are, then tell me this Masaraku. Why you on a team mission when you could do everything by yourself? An even better question is why are you still a genin? Surely someone of your caliber would be a chuunin or even a jonin by now. But you aren't, are you? You are just a genin like the rest of us, with the exception of one, and frankly he has more potential in his body than you do. But hey... what do I know? I'm just a lowly genin... like you." Batsu shrugged his shoulders as he went in on Masaraku, but he wasn't done yet. "... and correct me if I'm wrong, but as I recall when I first meet you, you were recovering from an a**-whooping you were given. Furthe5rmore, in Daichi, your clan beat the s**t out of you and broke you down to the point of tears. Both incidences would have been prevented if only your ego matched who you really are. ...and if you try and attack me or anyone else you prove my point of how insecure you really are." Batsu finished his spill and ruffled the back of his hair as he proceeded on the trail. By this time, the branches were being broken more frequently than before. Now was just a matter of finding the actual base. Quote: Awareness: 1d20 [16] + Awareness [8] + WIS [2] + Previous Rolls [14] = 40 Successes: 2/5

"Masaraku you will not threaten a fellow team member, do you understand me?" Shinzu said, halting the small patrol and turning to face Masaraku, trying to seem as intimidating as possible. "If you find that impossible to do, I will have you cut from this mission, do you understand?" Shinzu said with as stern as a voice as he could muster, before suddenly turning around and facing Batsu. "Keep leading us Batsu, I don't think we're that far off now." Though his voice had changed lost it's serious and stern tone, the look on his face remained.

Masa began to boil over with anger as she yelled at Batsu. "Listen you piece of s**t. You tease me all you want, but get your facts straight. You met me after I recovered from a MISSION for the village. I was fortunate enough to be caught in a bubble of snow and suffer injuries, but seven other Kirigakure ninja died that day, one of whom was my father. And if I ever hear you even mention that event without a tone of remorse in your voice I will engrave every one of their names into the back of your skull so that you'll never forget." The anger of that one event completely blocked her mind from the other Batsu had mentioned, another falsehood where she had been summoned to go on a clan mission. However, she didn't expect Batsu to understand the Hoshigaki lifestyle, what he mistook for an a** kicking is what the Hoshigaki referred to as mentorship. His loss really. She continued her angered train of thought, "And that goes for both of you as well." She would remain silent the rest of the journey, sticking to her darkened corners and drifting further behind the group. ******** em all, she didn't need them here.

After hearing her go off on her team members Karasu came to a conclusion. He just didn't understand this Hoshigaki girl or know anything she has been through. He felt bad for her. Really? What was he thinking? "Looks like she has feelings after all." He said with a straight face. Not really sure what to say before the Hoshigaki fell back. Just then he felt that there had been other people there recently. Shinzu was right in thinking that they were getting close, Karasu thought. It was just a matter of time before he saw his first real action as a shinobi. Well, he technically wasn't even a shinobi yet.

((Dammit...)) Batsu was unphased by Masaraku's words. He didn't really give two shits about what she went through. The fact of the matter was that she is nowhere as powerful as her ego led her to believe. It was quite a shame to be honest. The boy kept looking around for any more signs of disturbance other than the routine tree branches being broken. "Whatever happened in the past is in the past, and I will honor those that have fallen in battle. But that does not change how I feel about you." ... and that was that. Batsu said what he had to say and he was through. Besides, he had a hunch that the enemy base was coming even closer. So it was in the team's best interest to keep quiet. Who knew what tricks the enemy had? Quote: Awareness: 1d20 [4] + Awareness [8] + WIS [2] + Previous Rolls [31] = 45 Successes: 4/5

Shinzu didn't say anything remaining silent on the whole issue, he'd lost his Father too. At least Masaraku was there, and had somekind of chance to do something, Shinzu didn't. Regardless many Shinobi had died since Mistress invaded and her subsequent occupation, and they, like all Hidden Mist KIA, were engraved inside a cavern behind the memorial waterfall. The place to mourn was there however and not on a mission, so Shinzu kept his serious look and kept following Batsu. He tried to destract himself somewhat as thoughts of his Father entered his mind, he still didn't know how he was going to take down the Criminal Base.

Karasu tries to focus his thoughts elsewhere. Afterall he didn't even know what it was line to lose someone to a battle. Or even to lose someone to natural causes really. The only death he had witnessed really were the animals that his family killed to eat and to sell their hydes. Death by necessity was all he had witnessed. But he wouldn't speak up to try and see how anyone felt because he knew he would have to focus so that his death wasn't the next on witnessed. He might try to talk to Masa later and explain himself if he made it out of this mission alive. If anyone would look at him he would have started to look quite nervous. He could only hope these guys were as tough as they acted.

Masa let out a low whistle as she saw the peaks of the base above the treetops. Low enough to be heard by those close by. She pointed her hand at the base and began to head into the trees. Blending in with her surroundings. Ready to strike. "Shinzu, your the most athletic, if there is a wall, you climb the fastest. We'll need a good look at the layout, if there is no wall I say we try to take out the outer guards as quietly as possible and then work our way inside while Karasu and Batsu tie up any escapees. Full coverage." She would try to take the reigns while she had the chance.

"... or we could listen to Shinzu since he's the captain" Batsu replied abruptly, cutting Masaraku off. The boy turned his head slightly and looked back at his teammate. "Well? How should we approach the situation? I'm up for whatever you suggest." The boy was, in fact, getting himself prepared. He took his bow from his back, grabbed a wooden arrow from the container and went and loaded his weapon. The boy was ready to get the job done, get paid, and go home.

Shinzu looked at the base for a moment before looking back up at the sky, it was going to get dark soon. They could go in, but as of yet they knew nothing about the people inside, neither how many there where, or how strong they where. Going in now would be foolish, but the coming dark would allow them to get close enough to watch the base. That's what they would do, he'd have Batsu set up a good observation point, while Masaraku, Karasu, and himself set up a temporary camp. Depending on Batsu's finding, Shinzu would make his final decision. "No Masaraku, we wait." Shinzu said in the firm tone which was now becoming familiar to him. "We know nothing of what could await us in that base, it'd be a death sentence." Shinzu gave Masaraku one last serious glance before turning to face Batsu. "Think you could set up a good observation post somewhere?" He asked, relatively nicely. "I want to know what to expect in there. We'll start setting up a temporary camp, but report to us when you finish, okay?"
(Ok, posting order is gone for now, but don't post until after everyone else has posted since your last post.)

Batsu surveyed the area around him. Good thing for him, he was in an area with lots of trees. It provided cover for him to move about stealthily... his specialty. "I will, Shinzu. Just let me get close enough and I'll let the team know my findings. If I'm not back in ten minutes then something has happened. See ya."
With that, Batsu jumped onto a tree and started hopping from branch to branch. He knew it was a risk to even get close, and he was crazy enough to take that risk. The boy ended up perching on a tree branch that was about fifty feet or so from the base. He then pulled out a pair of binoculars and monitored the establishment. To the bandits' credit, they were smart enough to place a couple of guards at the entrance to the massive building. But there wasn't much of anything going on there aside from people walking in and out of the base. The odd thing was that it looked like the same people were coming in an out repeatedly. It was really weird. Why was there such a huge base, yet there were only a certain amount of people? Was the building for show? Were there certain people doing certain jobs like in a beehive? He wasn't quite sure, so he kept watching.

The girl had started to spout off orders like she was in charge. He would huff and then bite his lip to avoid laughing it off. He was afraid to throw her into a rage fit. Karasu had stopped to away Shinzu's orders. Next thing he knew Batsu had vanished to check things out. Karasu looked to Shinzu as he scratched the side of his head. "What should I do?" Setting up camp was a vague generalization. He wanted to know exactly what he needed to be doing.
