Madison opened her mouth, then shut it again as the statues took Jordan's word for it, or whatever it is they were doing. Then again, they were probably just stupid. "Where'd they go?" Ugh, this was so stupid. But she could feel the little hairs on the back of her neck standing up. It was like... like what she imagined the inside of the shadow-infested house two blocks over might feel like. Redolent and thick with darkness and eyes looking at you behind your back. Perhaps being inside the golems dampened some of it, usually? Halloween Town itself hadn't felt like this... though maybe that had just been sheer weirdness. Who would have thought Halloween had a freakin' high school and student council elections and junk?!
Perhaps we should proceed, before that door disappears as well? Kouki interjected, his tone mild yet firm.
"Uh. Yeah, maybe," Madison mumbled, then brightened for the team's benefit. "I guess we should get going, huh? Every door has to go somewhere, right? Not like we even knew where we're going anyway, so... as long as we're, like, going forward, things should be okay?"

The statues had been confusing. Left was right but right was also right? What? Ennéa didn't get any of it and it made her mind spin in logic circles when she tried to puzzle out the answer.
She was grateful that Jordan and Petra seemed to have a better idea of what to do. And Robert's brash bravery was reassuring.
Ennéa sidled closer to Maddie, "Yeah, we'll be okay." She said in answer to her friend's question. She gave the older girl her best carefree (and hopefully reassuring) smile. She could help out and be brave for her team too.

THERE AND BACK AGAINAs the Hunters were shifted back to their room, they noticed that it was quite different from before. Instead of a narrow hallway, they could literally hear the whoosh of air as they stood on a high ledge without safety rails. In front of them were five empty slides: carefully peering over the edge reveals that it seems to have no visible end. The wind picks up, and the ledge shakes noisily, ready to collapse any second.
There is sadly, only one way down... OOC - Each Hunter must pick a slide (or some can choose the same/ or they can all choose one), and well, wish for the best!

When her vision cleared, Madison found herself....
... oh god.
The girl sat down with a thump, Kouki's scabbards hitting the ground at odd angles as she did so; one hilt jabbed her painfully in the ribs. Still, getting prodded was far preferable to falling off this sudden precipice. She half expected to see the glow of Excalibur and Merlin down below... but this was not the Island. This was somewhere else in the Human World, somewhere tainted. All she saw was fog and odd swooping... what were those, slides?... diving through the clouds on their way downward.
She didn't care, though. Not right now. Her legs were stinging from the tile exploding under her; she could feel thin, warm trickles of blood on her skin. It didn't hurt too badly, though, all things considered.
Inside her mind, four pairs of yellow eyes widened, then sighed into lazy, half-open slits. We nearly had her. Why did those creatures have to interfere? Kouki asked, but the weapon didn't seem too angry. Instead it seemed oddly contented. He reminded her as nothing so much as her old boyfriend after sex, stupidly enough...
"I don't know." Madison took a deep shuddering breath, then closed her eyes. She could still see that rotten freak's hideous smile in the darkness behind her eyelids, but knowing that it was her blades - and Ennea's axe - that had done that damage gave her a sick sort of satisfaction.
She was going to just... sit here for a while. Wind and shaking be damned; if it hadn't fallen yet, after five people landing on it, it wasn't likely to do so now.

Ennéa landed with a hard thump and then slowly sat up into a sitting position, pulling her knees to her chest. Her arms and legs were covered over with scrapes and burns and her right hip ached like it was one big solid bruise but she didn't really care.
She didn't really care about her surroundings either and was only vaguely aware of the wind ruffling her hair. One of her hair buns had come undone during her last attack and her curly pink hair was hanging bedraggled against her neck.
Ennéa?
Ennéa flinched and hunched down at the sound of her name and didn't reply. Her axe lay by her feet and she scooted a little further away from it.
Baraz sighed a little impatiently but kept his voice gentle. You did good out there. Sorry if I scared you. He paused as if searching for words. I get a little... intense, when my blood is up; it's like, nothing matters but the fighting.
It's like that for all of us weapons. Baraz's single eye had returned to its normal silvery-blue color and he looked at her searchingly, as if trying to get her to look back at him. Ennéa didn't respond however and after a moment he sighed again. You know, He said with a small hint of reproach, if you had come to me sooner you would have known that.
That did get a reaction. "You- You're such a jerk, Baraz!" She shouted. Then in a fit of childish pique, Ennéa extended her hand and forcefully unsummoned Baraz into his bracelet form. She then ripped the bracelet off her wrist and tossed it onto the ground.

As soon as the world had crumbled under their feet a second time, Robert's instinct reached out to collect Petra back up in his arms, and he balled around her just in time to go flying back into another room. His body was unhurt, and took the brunt of the fall with nothing more than a hard, stinging pain slicing up his spine. When they were safe, he uncurled and groaned, flopping flat on the floor.
His eyes opened, and he looked at the water(less)park upside down. The idea of sliding down one of those didn't feel very nice right now.
"I ain't paying admission for this s**t."

THE SLIDE COLLAPSES!As the Hunters continued pondering their options, the wind roars, a sound deafening to their ears - and suddenly they feel very light-weighted, as if they were floating on thin air.
Oh wait.
Oh.

Madison looked up at Ennea, surprised at the younger hunter's sudden cry of frustration, and the sound of her unsummoned weapon being thrown to the ground. Kouki made a wordless horrified sound in her mind - obviously Madison's own weapon did not approve of such obvious discord in that bond.
"Uh. Um... Ennea? You might want to... uh... hey, what's up? Don't just toss him away like that, we're going to need everything we have. Him too. And you," she said, after a moment. It was kind of halting but hell, she was trying-
And then, suddenly, the wind howled and she was falling again. A shriek tore from her throat as she fell, and her last thought was that she really hoped Ennea had grabbed her weapon before all hell broke loose.

THE WRECKAGE:When the Hunters back back to their room, they would find themselves in a rather large, albeit dark room. On the left lay some misfortunate wreckage: what looked like several slides and bits of platform construction. It was pitch black on the right, though that section of the room seemed to be longer than it should have been. Two torches perched in the room, north and south, in terms of direction, flickering steadily.
And oddly enough, right next to each torch lay what seemed like half a spherical object. It protruded from the ground, in a semicircular tile, as if something was underneath the two of them. Incidentally, the Hunters would also notice that the floor was strangely damp and wet, and soft. There were no exits or doors in sight. OOC FREE TIME!:- The students are free to inspect and interact with the room (but cannot leave it!)

Where...
Where were they? Madison stumbled forward in the sudden gloom, heading for the only pinpricks of light she could see; a bit of wood caught her ankle and she nearly fell. "The hell?" she complained, picking her way carefully free from the wreckage. Apparently all that tangled s**t used to be... those slides and that platform they were on?
Well, at least they hadn't all fallen down with the wreckage. Ugh.
Once she was safely in one torch's range of light, she sighed and rubbed the back of her neck. "What now? Looks to me like everything just got smashed to little bitty bits."

The first thing Robert noticed was the softness beneath his feet. He let Petra go, and flipped Ennea around so she wouldn't be landing on some strange floor, then he put her on her feet and slapped her rear to get her moving. He was kneeling down on the ground a moment later, feeling the ground with his fingertips.
"Gross." He astutely spoke up. "I'm not sure I want to know what we're standing on."

[Entering from the Backyard]
"Hey!" Ennéa yelped indignantly when Robert slapped her rear. She turned and blew a raspberry at the older hunter before giving him a grin.
She then turned her attention to the floor and experimentally bounced on the semi-squishy surface. Part of her was still nervous being back inside the house, but she was determined not to freak out again.
"I dunno... it's kind of neat?" She commented. "In a gross way." She prodded it ground harder with Baraz's handle.
Hey! Don't use me like that! Baraz protested.

"Feels ... organic," Jordan commented, kneeling down to touch the floor gingerly. He rose and paced over to the north half-sphere, looking it over warily. "These things are really the only distinguishing feature in here, aside the wreckage." He held out his hand and summoned Ferros.
You've got to be kidding me, the hammer said flatly.
"You're metal. I'm flesh. You're a lot less likely to get hurt if it is harmful," Jordan reminded the weapon, and gingerly poked the half-sphere with the hammer's head.

"Organic? Wait... what do you mean organic?! Ew!" Madison scrambled back up onto the nearest bit of slide, balancing precariously. "Not cool, house! Not cool at all!" And oh god Ennea and Jordan were poking it, why were they poking it?!
Best to explore and understand your environment, so as not to allow yourself to be taken unaware, Kouki said primly.
Madison made a face at that, then slowly stepped down again, cringing at the way her heels made the floor give slightly underneath her. Ugh, she hadn't noticed that before. So gross. "But this was like... the floor that the slides and stuff were built on, right? It can't be too squishy, right?"
