Jaegar narrowed his eyes towards her, growling somewhat. He bit his tongue as he didn't want to say anything foolish. His ears perked up towards the words of her. "Liela! You cut that out right now. I spent all of my life with Niamh. She may not be a warrior but she was just a kitten when I found her. And you know how kittens are. Full of emotions. But I need you to accept her as my family. I won't DARE let anyone talk of her in that way. Everyone has something to teach to someone." He moved to the opening of the cave, gazing at the sky. "..You do know, Liela.. Look in your heart." He closed his eyes as he sighed. "..If you love me, then you would have understood why I am telling you this. Niamh helped me to become a better warrior without her even realizing it. Raising a child will do that to you. They help you learn little things.. that you take for granted or not even known that it was there.."

"All of your life? Don't you mean all of hers?" Leila shot back. "I liked you better before you found her. You weren't so - so soft!" Easy come, easy go. The two were suddenly fighting like cats and dogs again. But somehow, secretly, that was what sparked Leila's passion for Jaegar. She would have quickly grown bored with someone who agreed with her about everything. And it wasn't any fun not to have a challenge. At least with Niamh, she had something of a rival to win Jaegar from - at least that's how Leila saw her. If no one else wanted him and he wanted no one else, he wouldn't have been such a trophy to have as a mate. "We'll see, Jaegar," she told him. "We'll see if you still like her better later on. Emotion is weakness. Soon enough you'll get sick of her whining and mewling and come crawling back to me, tail between your legs." She leered at him. "The only children I want to raise are my own. If you already have a child to care for, though, maybe I'll just have my own family." Nevermind that she couldn't have one without a mate.

Jaegar growled towards her, narrowing his eyes. "Yes. When I have found Niamh, I didn't know what to do. I had no choice but to raise her!" He widened his eyes at her words. "I liked you better when you understood everything! You even understood about her! That she was the one that I was raising." He snarled towards her, not liking how she was acting whenever it came to his little kitten sister/daughter. "You'll see how emotions will help you become a better warrior. You know.. Why be a warrior if you can't open yourself up, eh? I don't have to be one myself. I had gotten this dagger because it helped me to survive before you or Niamh. But now...If you think I am weak because of it, then fine." He turned to move to the land besides the cave again. "You don't judge someone on their weakness.. you love them for who they are." Her words had hit him like knives. "You would never accept her then.. If you cannot accept her then you cannot accept me, Liela."

"You could have just left her there. Let her raise herself like we were forced to. She probably would have been better for it, too," Leila grumbled. "But no, you had to pamper and spoil her so that she never figured out to do a thing for herself and dwelled in her childhood probably longer than was healthy for her. Now she's sheltered and probably couldn't live a day on her own. How pathetic." She glared at the wolftaur and hissed, "I thought you would help her out a little - give her a snack or some catnip now and then. Not raise her! Because of her, you never got to spend any time with me! You can't even decide if you see her as a sister or a daughter. It's disgusting." Having never really been close to anyone but Fritzi and perhaps Aqurom before, Leila didn't understand Jaegar's feelings toward Niamh. "I'm a warrior precisely because I CAN control my feelings!" she snarled. "Everything except anger, hate, and wrath, which is all I need to take down my prey! You're the one who's lost your mind." She flinched, pained at his retort, but not so willing to let him know it. "I'll show you, Jaegar. You'll see."

Jaegar narrowed his eyes towards her with a scathing growl. "I am not gonna say a damn thing anymore. I don't want to regret any words." He wanted to chew her out so much but at what cost? He began to pace at the mouth of the cave, listening to her. Her words had hit her so hard in his heart, weighing it down. "She was not like you... You wouldn't understand, Leila. Being a warrior is all you know, love. You never knew anything else." He flattened his ears, looking to the sky. "I may not be able to decide what she is me because it is hard. I practically raised her. I had to be whatever it was best for her." He simply shook his head towards her. "No.. You don't. You don't know how to use other emotions well. You are the one that lost your mind, Leila... Walk a mile in her paws." He faced the forest. "I need to go.. Not to leave you but.. I need to calm down before I say anything that is regrettable." He growled towards her. "If I stay here any longer, I will want to kick your a**."
