Finished plotting the last novel in the Delarvai trilogy today during Literature =P Not entirely happy with it but that's what rewrites are for haha Still need to come up with a better name for the trilogy though...

I'm thinking that between now and November 1st, I'll just try and do some writing exercises and get ready for NaNo so that I'm not drawing blanks when it's time to get those word counts up.

I get a feeling next month is going to be hectic but unbelievably amazing mrgreen heart Hope you're all well -Em

Been working on some drabbles and having fun. Went to my region's NaNo kick-off picnic yesterday which was fun, felt good to talk about writing with people face to face smile

Hoping this week goes fast so I can get to writing already hahaha But I am going to be able to reference my books in an English essay on Thursday hahaha Just means I need to come up with a working pseudonym by then...

Hope everyone's well and writing away merrily heart -Em

So in this, the final hours of October, I am preparing for NaNo by doing Literature homework =P Six hours til the madness begins Down Under

I've been writing a lot of just little shorts to get more in touch with my characters which I need/want to finish before 12:00:01am but I need to finish this homework first so back to the books I go...

Hope everyone else is doing well and good luck to those doing NaNo heart smile -Em

Ay, woe is me...

My harddrive died yesterday sweatdrop And I'm terrible and didn't back up ANY of my writing from ... ever. Though I do have Delarvai 1 biggrin But I have definitely learnt my lesson.

While I'm waiting for my harddrive to be hopefully salvaged, I've started formulating a new idea which I hope to share with you guys in a few days smile

Hope you're all doing well heart Em

Well, I didn't win NaNo and I'm nowhere near finished with Scarring the Beautiful Ones but I'm finally on summer break now (love living in the southern hemisphere sometimes =P) so I might be able to actually get some writing done now.

I'm slowly making my way through STBO and I've started a screenplay project called The Dead Butterfly Convention which I like so far but I'm having trouble with character names right now. Hopefully they'll settle down soon smile

Hope everyone else is doing well heart Em

So I've finally started writing again... 406 words today but I'm gonna keep going, needed a break to sort through some plotting issues.

I'm hoping to finish the story before my break's over and then just fix all the bits in the middle once I go back, then start editing. Which reminds me, I need to keep working through Testing the Strong Ones...

I hope everyone else is going well with their writing smile -Em

Already given up - temporarily - on my circus idea. Broke up with my boyfriend yesterday and not in the mood for writing the romance that was becoming a core part of the circus story. Already working on a horror novel though it's more of a thriller, crime thing.

Hoping to finish STBO in the next couple of days then onto the editing boat =P
Hope everyone else is well, as always smile

~ I know its ridiculous but every now and again I like to reappear from month-long absences and post~

I personally like editing quite well. And every once in a while I suprise myself by actually writing something good the first time. XD

And editing my own work puts me in the mood to write even more of it! I think its a great cycle. But I don't know about you.

smile Good luck! I hope it all goes well for you.

Thank you biggrin

I kind of enjoy editing but I find it hard at the same time because I have a really strong emotional attachment to the characters and story I'm working with at the moment so I'll be reading through and all of a sudden I'm just crying over something I've written or laughing or whatever hahaha It's fun but strenuous because I constantly lose focus =P

Still editing STBO. Up to page 66 of 119 smile

Slowly formulating another idea too. It'll be a romance, probably a tragedy, about a young doctor working in a children's hospital who falls in love with the disturbed art therapist who starts to work there. Needs more of a plot (and for me to actually finish the starting one-shot hahaha)

Shall keep you updated =P
Hope you're all well and your writing is going along nicely

Haha, that's great. Even if its an annoying habit I would think a connection like that would be a sign of a better writer. I don't usually do anything quite sad enough to make me cry, but I certainly laugh. I definitely lean towards the comic side of the spectrum. How often do you have other people read your work? As for myself, I could definitely use more outside feedback. Of course, I'm not exactly surrounded by fans waiting to read... I also feel like I'm never done editing.

I rarely get others to read my work which is not good but I'm really shy with this current story, I just want to avoid the backlash of writing about gay characters for as long as possible haha I have a few people who would read them if I asked them to but the shyness is crippling sweatdrop

I love gay couples! I have a bit of an inner yaoi fangirl. But I know exactly what you mean- I live in Utah and I've been raised in a mormon family. I love my religion, but as you can imagine homosexuality is off limits. If I ever even suggested at a gay couple in one of my stories... well, I would have a hard time finding someone to read it.

I'm also hesitant to ask people to read my work because I am so afraid it will bore them. I hate to bore people! For now, I keep most of it to myself. When I finish and edit my first novel, then I will seriously search out a reader.
