It was a strange gesture to receive from a Lord, but Krayth desired to express his gratitude towards Kai. "I will hold you to your word, my friend. Your dedication may prove paramount to the survival of our nation." Then, the Anima diverted his eyes back to Darius. "Unless Azur requires anything from you, Darius, take Kai immediately to The Andalusian Arena and begin his training. We have no time to waste."
He rose from his seat at the round table, and looked between the three of those present. He let his eyes rest on Azur as he spoke his final piece. "Unless anyone has anything else they would like to contribute, or another matter that should be brought to my attention, let us conclude this meeting. There is much to do. Azur, if you would please accompany me I would speak to you in private..."
Lord Valdiir extended his hand to his consort, and looked to Darius and Kai before leaving with his Blue Bascule. "May your trials be long, and your triumphs great, Warrior Kai."

On the route there, he branched off from one of the primary tunnels and followed a rougher unmarked tunnel down to a small water repository. The algae beneath the surface of the water, much like that on the ceilings in the Tower of Reflection, provided a low blue illumination to the cave. Krayth stopped here, and turned to Azur. He took his lover's hands in his, and looked into your eyes.
"What do you plan to do while I am gone, beloved? I know there is much to do, and I should be by your side to help you accomplish it... but for now this seems the only course of action. Can I do anything for your before I leave?"

As long as they were together they were never apart from each other, not as far apart as they were soon to be, "I will continue our efforts to help our people recover their strength while you are gone." She moved one of her hands to brush his cheek lightly and she leaned in kissing him softly, "Just come back to me okay?" "I'm not trying to be your leader or master. Her cool skin was refreshing to him, just as his heat served to comfort her. He nodded somberly at her words, and opened his eyes. He drank in all of the features of her face, committing each one to memory. He did not know how long he would be gone, and he would carry the visage of her face with him always. As his lover leaned in to kiss him, Krayth set his hands on both of her shoulders to tenderly caress her neck. He leaned into her lips, and their kiss lingered on. He did not want it to end so swiftly. As he parted from her lips, he smiled.
"I swear that I will come back. This is no more than an errand. You will see me again in no time at all. Remember, my Blue Bascule, all you need is to hold your pendant and think to me. I will hear you, and I will answer."
He took two steps back, away from the low light of the algae and deeper into the shadows. As his body slowly melted into darkness and out of sight, his words whispered softly to her ears.
"I love you. Goodbye..."

Kai Blightwater  Kai looked at Darius and nodded. There was a sparkle of excitement In his eyes, and that would say more than his words ever could. Kai stood up, and calmly walked out of the tower. He didn't know why, but he walked with much more confidence. Perhaps faith of friends was what gave him the confidence in his abilities. He pondered this as he followed his teacher. -Exit-

*The Dragonfly transport flew over the desert, Kinetav looking out a window and down at the harsh terrain as the transport lowered down barely out of sight of the hidden entrance mentioned by Sin Cara. The marines and Kinetav hopped out of the transport and hit the sand, walking towards the hidden entrace; when the guards saw them, they were clearly alarmed by the presence of the men behind him; despite this, the Anima only knew that he had to move on and find the Lord of the Desert if he was to pass his test by Sin Cara and rank up. He turned his vizor back towards the men, sighing, knowing he should've dismissed them back at the gates to the Citadel as they walked closer to the guards. Oh well....maybe they'll prove to be unneccessary, Kinetav hoped as he told the meacha to just stay calm and defensive as the Dark Avenger took a defensive stance.*

The position Kinetav and his entourage approached appeared to be little more than a tall sentry tower fashioned of raw stone and large sand pitted logs, set atop the largest sand dune the young Anima could even imagine. The sun caused the sand about them to glow, and it's persistent punishing heat coupled with strong winds sent clouds of flashing grains through the air. At the top of the dune was a score of men, clearly visible around the base of the tower with weapons drawn. The dim of the tower's outlook concealed the shapes above, but Kinetav would sense two immediately. None of them moved as he approached with the squad of Meacha. All of their souls burned with fury. Then one shouted over the sand and wind; which was uncertain. "SPEAK NOW LEGION DOG!"

*Kinetav's eyes looked out in the direction of the voice; his eyes began to glow red as he began to see soul streams and auras surrounding him. He looked around, confusing at whom the guy was addressing before looking back at what few meacha he had as he cursed:*
"Inexperienced men and a useless bucket of bolts housing a man in it. A squad...versus a legion. Pffffffft."
*Sighing, feeling like he had been sent on some kind of suicide mission now, Kinetav recomposed himself underneath his vizor. He stood tall, with one hand on his Exodus hilt; even the sheathe began to expand as it turned into a two foot longsword. There was no stealth to be had here should anything occur as he answered:*
".....Legion dog? Who, me? I'm Kinetav Erth'azar... I've been sent here by Srin of the Citadel to find the Lord of the Devil's Eye Desert as my student test. Srin wishes to talk peace with the Lord."

"TEST? YOU DARE TO MOCK US, CUB? YOU WERE WARNED!"It was easy to tell who was shouting now; someone from behind them. Standing in front of another dozen men with weapons drawn. The speaker was savage by all rights, and his armor was cast in tusks of dark metal etched in runes and painted in fingers of blue. One eye glared amidst the folds of an azure mask.The sand beyond was disturbed into snaking cascades. The same occurred on all sides of the Legion squad. A brilliant ambush. Trapdoors in the sand blew open with the hiss of dispersed sand, bristled open with rifles and spears. "SET YOUR WEAPONS IN THE SAND OR DIE WHERE YOU STAND!"

*Kinetav growled underneath his mask as the world seemed to change around him and the squad; the anima had no clue as to what he had gotten into as he started sensing tens of men. This weird dark metal and runes is what fascinated Kinetav most, a rune of his own etched into his gauntlets, legguards, and back of his armor. None-the-less, there was no denying that they were outmatched and outnumbered; the Dark Avenger nodded to the squad behind him and drew the Edge of Eternal Reticence, the blade mentally screaming in fury at Kinetav's own weakness as he set it down on the ground:*
"Shut up, Edge. Trust me, it's better for you to have a captive Master, than a dead one. Once again... if we want to get stronger, then shut up."

The tribesmen watched in silence as the Anima and his guards put down their weapons. Then they advanced, spears lowered towards the Legionnaires and rifles leveled at their chests. "You will not see the--"The blue hooded man was cut short by a titanic rumbling beneath them; a force of such magnitude that the dune on which the sentry tower stood writhed with sheets of descending sand. A construct of stone and hammered metals erupted upwards, appearing just out of view. A thunder of low brass echoed over them. Clamouring voices. Some of the guards turned their weapons and howled back. The one eyed man stopped, glancing back to the others. In the next moment words coherent boomed from above. "VALDIIR HAS RETURNED! RISE TRIBES! RISE! HE BRINGS AZUR'S KILLER!"Words that were highlighted by further echoes. "WINDSCALE ANSWERS THE CALL!""BLACKMANE ANSWERS THE CALL!"The one eyed man wasted no time, uttering a guttural command to the dozens more that were now visible. They came roaring out of their sand traps, encircling the Legionnaires in an uncomfortably tight ring of spearheads. "BRING THEM ALL!" demanded Adellos as he marched up the tumbling sides of the dune with expert ease. "LORD VALDIIR WILL DECIDE THEIR FATE!" His last words, as a man with snake bite scars peppered over his face stooped to take Kinetav's blade, were "Kill any that try to escape!"The wilders howled at their captives, and began to herd them up the dune with the bite of their spears.

*Kinetav was certain his doom was nearby as the ring tightened, until he heard that the Lord was back and they decided that he would be the one to determine their fate; the Anima grumbled underneath his mask as he figured this wasn't the way he was going to meet the Lord. He was curious as to this Azur's killer, however, so he figured this would be an interesting opportunity. As the Anima stood back up and saw and his weapon taken away, he studied the man who took up his blade, venomous intentions filling his mind should his Edge even be so much as scratched. He watched the man start to walk away, the Dark Avenger walking behind him along with the squad as the spears prodded them up the sandy dune.*
