Well last time when we decided to tell ghost stories, it was 11pm and I was alone in a very big and scary library...SHADDAP LIBRARIES ARE SCARY.
...I swear I'll make a post to scare you. One day. With lots of blood and gore and cannibalism like Silence of the Lambs. Which will probably then be deleted for violating the PG 13 rule

[The dark brown tabby had found himself standing in the middle of a place quite familiar to him. His usually even, stoic look turned into one of surprise, and then a scowl; couldn't the StarClan warriors share tongues with him somewhere more creative? Like in StarClan's hunting grounds like normal? He snorted slightly, shaking his head.]

Foolish fools.

[Rabbitfoot's bitter, idle thoughts were halted by a presence he became aware of in front of him. His ears flickered slightly when he spoke, seemingly to no one in particular. He managed a rough snort, shaking his head slightly. What a loonie. Who honestl took the time to talk to themselves out loud; and with odd questions as the one he had asked?

Sighing irritatedly, Rabbitfoot began to turn around, but a somewhat unnatural and chilling hiss made him stop, sending a shiver down his spine. He slowly leveled his eyes with Sacredkit, stunned. Who had spoken, and with such an odd voice too? His look of shock crossed his face as he heard the conversation continue. He quietly glanced around Sacredkit, trying to spot the cat he was talking to, but no one was within view. After a few moments, he gave up and simply watched the conversation continue between the kit and his invisible 'friend'. At one point during the conversation, Rabbitfoot couldn't help but scoff, shaking his head. Sacredkit's voice was practically dripping with arrogance, making his right eye twitch.]

Foolish pipsqueak doesn't know what he's talking about.

[Rabbitfoot stared, watching as the scene progressed, scoffing slightly and making snide remarks at most of everything that was said. That was until Sacredkit suddenly turned around, locking eyes with the medicine cat. He blinked in surprise, staring at the grotesque mess on his face. His eye twitched again. What in StarClan's name had he done?!
Rabbitfoot hissed in a somewhat shocked way, instinctively preparing to take a step back. He didn't budge.

Sacredkit held a less than sane grin, staring at Rabbitfoot with a very un-kit-like look, one that made Rabbitfoot's stomach clench. He tried stepping back again, only to find that he still wasn't able to move.]

Angel of death. Cool"

The next part of the scene passed like a blur, Rabbitfoot's vision fuzzing out; when he was finally able to refocus in the what had been everchanging light, Sacredkit was already on top of him, a crazed; no, make that insane, look in his eyes. The stunned tom's eye twitched again. Was that Sacredkit? A strangled squeak came from somewhere in Rabbitfoot's chest as he tried to stifle it.

A loud roar drowned out another squeak from the tom, and a dull pain began in his neck. He struggled slightly, slowly becoming aware of a warm breath warming part of his neck. As Sacredkit jerked back, the dull pain turned white-hot. A choked, gurgled cry came from the tom, his eyes snapping shut. The pain, it felt so real that it was startling to him. Was this even considered a dream anymore? He trembled slightly, quietly and desperately wishing for the pain to cease.]

And then it did.

[Rabbitfoot's eyes snapped open as his surroundings quieted suddenly. His ears flickered, somewhat uncomfortable by the sudden silence. His eyes quietly gazed at a tom in front of him. He blinked somewhat confusedly. He couldn't recall ever seeing this cat before. This thought annoyed him. He continued to stare, unblinking as he studied the tom more. The longer he kept his gaze on the past leader, the more annoyed he got. His right eye twitched slightly. The casual, arrogant gaze that this cat carried irritated him immensely.

Taking a deep, calming breath, he chained down the instinct and temptation of spitting at his dead ancestor. He was older than him, it was probably better to humor the unknown tom by feeding his feeling of self-importance. He cleared his throat, closing his eyes for a moment before speaking.]
"I assume that this means that Rainblast and Sungaze's son is quite dangerous to NightClan,"
[he murmured, his ears twitching annoyedly as he realised that he was stating the obvious. He couldn't help it; he couldn't quite muster up an idea of what to say, and by the look of it, the tom had been waiting for a reaction from the young NightClan medicine cat. He snorted lightly. In all honesty, he thought that the black mystery tom should have been the first to speak; he had been the one who had plunged him in such a sadistic situation in the first place.

Despite that thought, Rabbitfoot spoke again with a slightly impatient look.]
"You mind tellin' me what in StarClan's name got itself inside Sacredkit's head?"

Painted souls that streak the sky

StarClan

[Swampstar watched the youth, his brown eyes blazing with his intense gaze.
He decided he liked the tom. Cheeky and grumpy, yet more clear-headed than his mentor was. His foolish, foolish mentor!
"I hope you realize the mess you're in," he stated, eyes narrowing. "That thing you saw was, indeed, not Sacredkit. In fact, it's the same dark spirit that plagued the leader Fathom. You've heard the stories, of how he...changed...in front of all the other Clans. Revealed colors that were not is own."
The cat tilted his head at Rabbitfoot, looking him up and down with an obvious air of assessment, but continued in the same tone, "The blood, Rabbitfoot. It's their blood. Blood tainted with an ancient curse even StarClan doesn't understand. And what's worse, destruction follows. Blind destruction. Do you understand? Blind. There is no purpose other than to spill blood and destroy the bloodline. Do you understand? He needs a guardian, someone who can counteract the darkness in him, delay it. You must warn Foxfur of it so he can choose the right mentor!"
He flicked his ears, stating, "Shadows recede in the light of purity. Night ends at break of day when the sun rises and forces the shadows back. We must not allow Sacredkit to become corrupt or he will be lost to us all."
Narrowing his eyes, the StarClan cat added, "And the night is haunted indeed. StarClan save those whose hearts break their reason! There is more than one secret in NightClan, secrets that will ruin us! A rift between leader and medicine cat has caused an unbalance that shook the Clan. Understand? Learn from the mistakes of your mentor! You must never come to hate your leader.
You will need his help to be rid of the weeds and to sow prosperity for our Clan. NightClan has fallen from its might! What with half-breeds and traitors making such treacherous secrets, NightClan will fall! Listen close! It will fall!"
He stood, eyes flashing. "You are no longer an apprentice, Rabbitfoot, and your mentor is not dependable. I will tell you this: you have good reason to suspect her. Pursue that. But remember what you may not like what you find. You have a lot on your shoulders as the true medicine cat of NightClan."
And, lad, this ain't even the worst. Something dark this way comes. An ominous thing that will bring much chaos, but for all the Clans. Be careful what you wish for."
[The old leader walked towards the cat, his true old age showing in his face. His face was streaked with gray hairs and he was skinny and bony. In fact, he looked as if he had aged before the medicine cat; where he had just been strong and healthy, he was now trembling and weak, old radiating from his pelt stinkily.]
"I didn't live 89 moons to see NightClan fall by my predecessors!" he growled hoarsely. "You must help save the Clan, from shame and chaos. Swampstar demands no less!"]

[Rabbitfoot sat quietly as the black 'mystery cat' ran through quite a lengthy explanation with an expressionless, quite blank stare. Even though he didn't show it, he was processing the information, and quite thoroughly at that. As the tom wrapped up his long explanation, Rabbitfoot began to notice something as the tom, who was apparently named 'Swampstar'. First of all, he no longer looked young; he looked more like a ragged, musty, old bone bag, for a lack of better description. Rabbitfoot was slightly confused by the sudden change, but he quietly dismissed it, staring at the ground so he could place his thoughts into array. Swampstar had first of all, confirmed that the thing messing with Sacredkit's head was indeed not good, but the part about it posessing a leader in the past surprised him somewhat. He clenched his teeth as he thought.]

Fathom.....that was the predecessor of Lavenderstar.

[he thought quietly. He blinked. The leader had pretty much disappeared sometime during his kithood, not long after his mother had been killed. After that, that topic had become a cenntral plotline for various elder stories and a queen's best friend when it came to manipulating her kits so they would do what she wanted them to do. The whole thing had quickly fallen from his interests much like the interest of a new toy would for any short attention-spanned kit, and he had soon forgotten that it had happened.

As his thoughts lingered on the topi of Fathom, he blinked, his eyes widening slightly as a new thought crossed his mind. Rabbitfoot's head snapped up, a somewhat urgent look in his eyes.]
"Waitwaitwait, old timer, if this problem is because of Sacredkit's bloodline, that means that even if we manage to steer Sacredkit off the path he's heading down, whatever that thing is, has many more alternate subjects to trick; Sungaze has more than one kit and you have to keep in mind that it's in Guardianvow's blood too, and always has the possibility of becoming a...father,"
[he said quickly. The corners of his mouth curled into a bemused smile. Guardianvow becoming a father; now that was a laugh. He could easily imagine carbon copies of the gray tom running around the camp, tails lashing angrily and faces forever showing an arrogant scowl. Rabbitfoot couldn't help but to snicker at that thought. Right; what a laugh.

A more serious gaze crossed the young medicine cat's face, soon sinking into a frown as he remembered something else that the tom had mentioned in his explanation. His eyebrows furrowed as he thought for a moment, giving up after what seemed to be a few minutes. He looked quietly at Swampstar, his ears twitching slightly as a somewhat confused look crossed his face.]
"Oi, whadaya mean 'Be careful what you wish for'? What's that got anything to do with this?"
[he inquired.]

[ooc:] Woah, I just realised that StarClan's mascot picture aren't just stars, but a cat as well. :D

Painted souls that streak the sky

StarClan

[Swampstar stepped back, his earthy eyes once more sweeping the tom as he thought.
"Sharp one," he said, as if he was admitting it. "Yes, the problem does not end with Sacredkit, but it does begin there. Remember well, cat, he cannot escape his prison except through the realm of one's self. Sacredkit is a puppet for which to do the deed, but we must sever the bond and he will become useless, trapped there!"
Swampstar turned his gaze, staring at something behind himself. It was a stone, a stone as white and bleak as bone. Glittering with a million colors. As soon as Rabbitfoot set eyes upon it, it burst into flames, and the fire spread within a few moments, engulfing the meadow in a fiery inferno.
Swampstar stood there, his eyes glittering as the harsh vision-fire licked at their feet. The fire formed a semi-circle around the ancient leader, licking ever closer. But the old, skinny leader stared straight at Rabbitfoot, not making a move to run.
"Remember to light away the shadows," he hissed. "Remember the night haunted by treachery, the heart tainted with desire! And don't you dare forget-be careful what you wish for! Beware the stone!"
As he spoke, the flames licked over him, stripping his flesh away with a burning smell in the air. His face was licked clean of meat, and a skeleton head spoke to Rabbitfoot, its eyees black holes of emptiness.
The stonneeeee it hissed before it collapsed on the ground, flames licking over it. The flames reached for Rabbitfoot greedily, crackling in the air. Smoke flowed from the flames madly, billowing into the air.
And Rabbitfoot witnessed how the leader had died; in a terrible, powerful fire.
(( He's allowed to "run away" and leave the dream or be killed by the flames-your choice? xD ))

[A radiant smoke emanated from the stone, a white smoke that seemed to glow on its own. It enveloped Moonblaze enticingly, covering her in a warm glow until she could not see.
"So it shall be, tainted heart."
When the smoke lifted, the StormClan camp could be seen, but there was an ominous charge to the air.
The medicine den was full of moaning warriors, sickly warriors covered with infected wounds and coughing. The herbs were moldy and unkempt.
In the nursery, a white shape trembled, breathing sharply. A paw prodded her side, eyes glittering with worry. It was Hawkblaze, watching his mate struggle.
"What do I do, love?" he asked in his smooth tone. "I-I need some-ah!"
"What do I do?"
"I-I cannot...remember...the herb!"
"But you need help!"
"I cannot-"
A roll of pain hit her and she yowled in distress.
"What of the warriors?" Thunderflight asked her softly, squatting by her side. "They moan and grumble, covered in infected wounds and riddled with disease. What of them?"
"Fadinghorizon...will help them..."
"But she has a mate and kittens of her own to deal with," she reminded her. "What about you?"
"I'm giving birth, Thunderstar!"
"What about you?" she demanded. "You cannot remember herbs."
"I'm giving BIRTH!"
"You never remember herbs," she noted. Moonblaze trembled, pleading, "Please, it's been rough w-with-Hawkblaze, and then the pregnancy, and Fadinghorizon gave birth just a day ago, she's trying her best but-"
"Five have died tonight of whitecough-including Silverstar- one has contracted greencough, and it is spreading." she said coldly. "Thunderstar-"
"You abandoned StarClan," she wailed sourly. "Now we're all dying! The Clan is falling apart, we cannot sustain so many warriors in one place without a proper healer! Why would you do this to us? Why?"
"I wished for it," she pleaded, eyes round. "I wished for Hawkblaze. I love you, Hawkblaze."
"And I love you," he whispered in response, licking her cheek. "I love you very much."
Hope and joy filled her face, but at the sight of it, Thunderstar sneered in disgust and said, "And all your friends are dying before your eyes."
She froze, eyes wide and uncertain. Then the true horror of what was happening filled her.
"The Clan depends on a medicine cat," Thunderstar said, glaring at her with unforgiving blue eyes. "But what faith can we put in them? They just remember herbs and -hardly- heal us, when they have the time between their kittens and their mates. I could become a medicine cat if I wanted, but what use would that do? I'd just forget half my training while raising my kittens. Like you."
"Thunderstar, please-"
"StormClan is falling like SeaClan did," Thunderstar hissed. "Like they did because they could not contain the outbreak of greencough. They all died! Even Cloudfang's precious kittens! And now Hawkblaze is dead, killed by the disease you could not control."
Hawkblaze was no longer by their side. He was laying outside the nursery, limp, skinny.
"I don't want this!" Moonblaze wailed, shaking her head. "All I wanted, all I needed was Hawkblaze-I want to undo this, all of it!"
"But you can't, remember?" Thunderstar hissed with fury. "You made a wish. And the sad thing is, you didn't regret it until he died. You fool!"
[The ground trembled suddenly, roaring loudly. The soil itself cracked and opened up, revealing a black oblivion. The camp fell into the cracks, crumbling inward in the earthquake. Moonblaze screamed, watching as Hawkblaze, Lustregaze, Dawnsky-everyone she loved and knew fell into that oblivion, lost to her forever, and Thunderstar glared at her with unforgiving, icy blue eyes.
StarClan, save us!
But the stars were gone that night. No bond. No trust. Nothing.

(( Just in case you couldn't tell, Moonblaze is actually watching this herself. The Moonblaze I portray here is future-moonblaze-if-the-wish-came-true-kinda. xD ))

And all at once the scene cleared. Moonblaze was in a dim cave, or someplace dark, with one ray of light piercing from some hole above down on her and illuminating her in a spotlight. Stars could be seen beyond, glittering lovingly.
Piercing blue eyes gazed at her. Thunderstar?
No. A second ray slowly filtered, revealing another snow-white cat who sat with reverence.
Snowstar.
"I am sorry, Moonblaze," the she-cat whispered. "So sorry. Your love is innocent and pure, but it breaks the bonds of your promise to us. You must understand why medicine cats can never have children or mates, and I believe you do. They made a promise to devote themselves fully to StarClan and their Clan. Any cat who wished to bear child or have a mate should not become medicine cat, but one who does anyways bears a guilt far greater than her own.
You have served your Clan well, make no mistake of that. We are proud of you. But the path of matehood and kit-bearing is not yours to walk. Not while you are medicine cat. Do you understand?"
Snowstar lowered her eyes, looking away, and then looked forward and said in a far less kind tone, "There is a terrible darkness coming this way. We do not understand it yet, but we sense it. The Clans have time, but this darkness is formiddable. Be brave, young one.
You must be careful what you wish for...and beware the stone!"

And then the dream winked out like a flame blown away by the wind.]

[Rabbitfoot bit the inside of his cheek as Swampstar confirmed his concerns. His eyes closed for one long moment, a sigh hissing through his clenched teeth as he worked away at the inside of his mouth. He froze however as a metallic taste began spreading on his tongue. Rabbitfoot's eyes widened slightly, gagging. His stomach wriggled unsettlingly, threatening to bring his previous meal back up, or what was left of it, rather. As the wave of nausea passed, he spat obscenities under his breath. Blood; definitely not something he could stomach.

Rabbitfoot stared at the ground for a long moment, letting the red-tinted drool drain from his mouth. If he had swallowed it, he would have vomited, no doubt. After a few moments, he let out a dry, throaty chuckle. It was quite pathetic that he, a medicine cat, was squeamish even around his own blood.

The longer the silence pursued, the more prominant a frown became on his face. After a few more moments, he looked up, ready to snap at the former leader. His breath hitched in his throat as his eyes rested on something behind the clearly aged leader. Something far more interesting than the fact that the leader's age had apparently changed; a white stone sat behind him now.

The stone itself wasn't a spectacular thing, whiter than a cloud. It held a boring shape too; just a plain old rock-like shape. What made the stone interesting was the effect that the light from above had on the rock. The glowing of the celestial bodies floating above the clearing sent white light down from above, giving the once-white rick a beautiful array of colors as the glimmering light reflected off the rock. Colors danced along the ground near the base of the rock haphazardly, moving with each dimming and brightening of Silverpelt above. It was breathtaking even for a tom such as himself, captivating even.

And then all of that beauty was torn away.

Suddenly, a ring of fire snaked its way halfway around the two, starting at the back of the magnificent stone. Almost as quickly as Rabbitfoot had appeared in the field right as Sacredkit had bent down to kill him, the once peaceful grassy meadow was ablaze. Rabbitfoot's eyes widened slightly at the sudden blaze, somewhat surprised. He had definitely not seen that coming.

Rabbitfoot blinked, opening his mouth to tell the aged StarClan cat that he would help him away from the sudden fire, but the unnaturally calm expression crossing Swampstar's face made Rabbitfoot fall silent. His ears twitched slightly, barely able to pick up the words Swampstar was saying. His ears twitched and he bent his head forward to get a better listen to what he was saying.

A sudden wave of heat made Rabbitfoot jump back, his fur fluffing up in shock. His eyes watched, more surprised than anything as the fur and flesh was ripped from Swampstar's face as harsh flames lapped at his scrawny figure. He didn't move, his eye twitching for a moment. A hiss echoed in his ears as he stared at the skull that was being eaten up by the flames. He gave it a somewhat disturbed glance. Had that thing really talked to him? He was aware that he was still in his dream world, but he still couldn't help but to feel just slightly disturbed by the image of the skull speaking to him. He chuckled. If that happened in reality, it would have probably had more of an effect on him.

His eyes stared for a few moments longer, his eyes connecting with Swampstar's....holes. His eye sockets were empty, no longer carrying eyes. They had been stripped from the dead leader in a similar way the rest of his face had abandoned him. He tipped his head to the side for a moment, staring a bit longer as the skull continued being consumed by the flames which were lapping at the tom's remains hungrily. His eye twitched for a moment, half-expecting the skeleton to get up and bounce around for him. He snorted. It could have very well happened; it was a dream, after all.

Almost immediately after he processed that thought, a white-hot pain shot through his bad paw. A pained shriek echoed above the roar of the fire in the meadow. Rabbitfoot's ears twitched slightly, glancing around the clearing for a moment before he realised that he had been the one that had yowled. Rabbitfoot hissed slightly, mentally cursing himself. He had sounded like a kit! He shook his head slightly, clenching his teeth slightly. The pain that wracked his paw was unlike his usual bouts of pain. He blinked, snorting. Odd. He froze, snorting again in a more experimental way. An odd, revolting scent was beginning to fill his nostrils. The scent clogged his thoughts, almost choking him. He coughed weakly, blinking away tears that had been instinctively streaming from his eyes to protect them from the dry air. It was then when something caught his eye. Next to his bad paw, an orange flame flickered beside it and on it, sending smoke into the air. He stared, dumbfounded.]

He was on fire.

"Holy StarClan!"

[Rabbitfoot's voice once calm voice escalated into a screech as he backed up, furiously trying to stomp out the fire on his paw. Pain lanced it with each movement of the muscles in his paw, forcing slight squeaks of pain from the medicine cat. He took another step back, clenching his teeth as unbearable pain nearly sent the tom to the ground. He was fully conscious of the situation he was in. This was real; or as real as a dream could get. He had to leave.

Whirling around, Rabbitfoot limped quickly away from the fire that had tried to satiate its hunger on the StarClan cat. His mind was a whirlwind of chaos as he tried to think of a plan. He couldn't run forever; the pain from his paw could be more than enough to cause him to fall unconscious. He had to get out. He had to survive. He could'nt just-

Rabbitfoot's eyes snapped open wildly, his fur fluffing up. He sat up quickly, letting out a slight howl of pain as he put pressure on his foot. He His claws in his good paw sank into the ground as the wave of pain passed. He coughed slightly, but the breath in his throat caught as he noticed a scent: The scent of burning hair lingered in the clearing; how wonderful. He blinked tiredly, eyeing his paw carefully. The pads of his paw definitely stung and he was missing a bit of fur on it. He looked at his right side too, his ears flickering slightly in surprise. A scorch mark had been defined, cutting across most of his side. The burnt fur was shorter than the rest of his fur and a soot black. He blinked, his eyes flickering around the clearing absentmindedly, his thoughts quickly dwelling from the burn marks he carried to the others in the clearing. The rest were still asleep, no doubt still speaking with StarClan.]

[ooc:] Ugh, the last half of this post was a pain to write. Much. Too. Tired. Dl

Sorrowful air, my despair is nothing compared to some.
Tales and legends longer than mine intertwine with deeper woe.
Does such mean I cannot weep for what has come to pass?
Ah, it matters not. I am a thorny rose containing the most bittersweet nectar.
The sorrow will seep into the nectar,
While the rocky surface remains,

Unchanged. Undetectable. Untouchable.
Unknown.

Raised by hatred, or hidden love?
Perhaps a thorny rose like me.
However, such nectar was refused of me,
And bitter nectar is not how one nurtures a happy bee.
Did I ever have a chance? Walls surround me, made of steel.
They seal away external potential trouble.
Not a crack to be found-rightfully so!
Safety is found in solitude, but so is loneliness.

Unheard. Unseen. Unkempt.
Untamed.
Foxes are cunning, everyone knows.
They are stubborn as well-much like me.
Such similatirty is striking-it compells me.
How much farther can I fall...?
We are all the same...why must true love be bound?
It is forbidden to fall for such...for...for what, again?
...I want to fall! I forget why I shouldn't.
It feels so nice-that softness against my skin.
And then, I find when he catches me, paradise lives for those short moments.
It was worth it.

Unbelievable. Unforgettable. Undetainable.
Irreversable.

White fades into the dark, but that which fades remains.
The last one, my heart.
Yet she is taken from me-does she know me?
Raised by someone else. How cruel.
Is this my punishment? How cliche.
The thorns grow sharper now, and the walls smoother.
No more cracks to be found. Not anymore.
The fox has gone, his death the harsh rose caused
And the cruel rose has wilted.

Irrefutable. Irrational. Irreconcilable.
Irreplacable.

Cracks are funny things.
They start out so small, but grow so big.
One crack can destroy a wall.
Wings of cinder brush by it, and even they put miniscule cracks in the wall.
Is the wall made of glass, then?
It must be. It is. Once so strong, but so easily see-through?
The thorns will protect me-! Yet even the cindery wings can brace themselves through those.
Yes, they are strong.

Irrelevant. Irresponsible. Irrevocable.
Nonexistant.

But the storms kill the Leopard, and shatters the fangs.
Their children are now mine. How can this be?
I am a cursed rose, a haunted heart!
Am I not fit to raise them?
I find my nectar is more often sweeter than not. Even I did not know.
So, the children are wiser than a wise rose?
Terrifying! Will they reveal the truth?

Nonchalant. Nonadaptive. Nonvolatile.
Nonrenewable.

Such little faith I had in myself is presented before me by these little ones,
And I find my thorns growing dull.
The moons pass slowly and I bask in their luminescent beams.
A black rose I once was, yet now I have faded to white.
So I am changeable?
Glass walls cannot filter out change.
All that besides, I have been given a second chance.
Change, or remain the same?
It is my choice. And what shall I choose?
I want to fight for my loved ones, live for those who died, help those who have fallen.

Omnipresent. Omnibenevolent. Omnium.
Neonatal.

Medicine Cat ┇┇ Cold, Harsh, Strong

╚════════════►☠◄════════════╝

[Hauntedheart glanced around at the scene before her and flicked her tail. She felt her head sink when she realized where she was since it meant niether Foxclaw or Whitekit would be there. The medicine cat could feel the tension in the air and glanced up as she heard someone coming closer. It was Puresun. The calico she-cat walked through the medicine cat before walking forward. Hauntedheart tore her gaze away from the she-cat and the next thing she knew, Puresun had kits beside her. Hauntedheart gasped as her eyes rested on the shadow-like demon creature. The medicine cat watched the scene before her and stepped back from the wave of strong emotions that assaulted her violently. Hauntedheart shook her head, wanting to call out to Puresun. The poor she-cat, forever torn from her children. Hauntedheart knew that pain, that terrible pain. The medicine cat hung her head slightly until another voice caught her attention.

The medicine cat spun around only to see Lavenderstar before her. The she-cat hissed bitterly and lashed her tail. Out of all the cats in StarClan, why did she have to be in her dream? Hauntedheart stared at Lavenderstar as the late leader spoke. Hauntedheart felt bad for Puresun, no cat should ever suffer that pain. It was almost unbearable. However, Hauntedheart wasn't Puresun. She wouldn't experiance the feeling of giving up her kits again. Hauntedheart locked eyes with her past leader and her crystal eyes narrowed. She listened to her leader and hissed bitterly. How dare she speak of her of that! Of Cinderwing! It was her fault he was gone, she exiled him. He could still be in NightClan, with her. They could be together, secrettly but still together. No sneaking off to see him, he'd be there. He had been her safe place, the one cat she trusted. Lavenderstar had taken him form her, she had exiled him. It was her fault!]

"He knew! Cinderwing. He knew about Foxclaw, my first mate. He knew of my son and my daughter. My daughter," Hauntedheart hissed at Lavenderstar's retreating form. Her eyes filled with hatred for her past leader. The medicine cat took a step forward and breathed in deeply. "Don't talk to me of pain, I know pain just like your daughter! I gave up my daughter so she could be with her father. I live with that agony, that regret everday. So don't tell me to remember the pain because I already do! But I refuse to give up my kits again. They are mine, mine and Cinderwing's, and we will raise them. Together. That is my choice, because these kits are all I have left.

The medicine cat paused, staring at Lavenderstar with cold eyes. She glanced over her shoulder, hoping to see that familiar ginger or white pelt that she knew so well. But she was only met with shadows. "I had a mate once, you know this now. Yet did I fail at my duties? Did I neglect my clan? No, I was still a medicine cat and I still am. Whether StarClan thinks so or not, I am. And I will raise my kits and I will still be a medicine cat whether StarClan is there to guide me or not. Because I can, I know I can. I did it before, I can do it again," the smokey-gray she-cat mewed calmly as she turned to face Lavenderstar once again. She sighed and closed her eyes for a minute before looking back at Lavenderstar. She flicked her tail and stared at the leader.

"Oh and tell Yellowdew I hope she rots in the Dark Forest. tell her that she lost."

How can you see into my eyes like open doors
Leading you down into my core
Where I’ve become so numb
Without a soul
My spirit sleeping somewhere cold
Until you find it there and lead it back home

Wake me up inside
Wake me up inside
Call my name and save me from the dark
Bid my blood to run
Before I come undone
Save me from the nothing I’ve become

Frozen inside without your touch, without your love
Darling only you are the life among the dead
All this time I can't believe I couldn't see
Kept in the dark but you were there in front of me
I’ve been sleeping a thousand years it seems
Got to open my eyes to everything
Without a thought, without a voice, without a soul
Don't let me die here
There must be something more

Bring me to life

Medicine Cat of StormClan

[Fadinghorizon jolted awake and glanced around. The shadows surrounded her, engulfed her, and there was no escape. The medicine cat stood up and glanced around. She could smell Moonblaze but her mentor was no where in sight. Fadinghorizon turned around, trying to locate anything in the darkness but there was nothing to be seen. Suddenly, a light appeared overhead and Fadinghorizon watched as it drew closer to her. Her blue eyes widened and she couldn't help but take a step back. As the object reached the ground, Fadinghorizon could tell that it was a stone. A beautiful, breathtaking stone. The she-cat felt herself drawn to the object before her and she padded toward it slowly. Her blue eyes widened as the voice echoed in her ears and her gaze was locked on the stone before her. She remained still for a few moments, debating what to wish for. All she knew was that she had to wish for something. Her thoughts drifted to her father and the medicine cat's eyes widened. She knew exactly what to wish for. The only thing she had ever wanted.]

"I wish... I wish I didn't come from a broken family. That my father was still alive, with me... that my brother was too," she mewed, her mind drifting to the one time her father had mentioned that she had had a sibling, a brother, that had died at birth. Turning her attention back to the stone, Fadinghorizon took a deep breath. "And more then anything... that my mother was still here. That I could have met her, been with her, known her. That she would have raised me and been there for me. So I could have known that she loves me as much as I love her."

Fadinghorizon lowered her head slightly and sighed. That had been her dream since she was little. An impossible dream, yes, but her only dream. The young she-cat cared nothing for forbidden love or anything of that sort. All she had ever wanted was a family, and that one thing that most cats had had been something that Fadinghorizon had never experianced. Raising her head, she looke dback at the stone and waited, wondering what would happen because of her wish.]

((Don't reveal to her that her mother is Hauntdheart but feel free to hint at it in StarClan's criptic way. ^^))

User Image[The horrible nightmare of a scene unfolded in front of a white, terribly shaking, she-cat... she watched her beloved clan and life, for all she knew, crumble into dust... right in front of her round moon blue eyes. She sighed with little relief as a new area was shown to her, and the star-kissed form of the great leader Snowstar. Listening carefully, the young medicine-cat absorbed the new information given to her... to her horror. Before the snowy Starclan she-cat faded away with the dream, Moonblaze cried out after her, voice quivering but strong with new hope and strength, her blue eyes blazing and clear.] "I understand Snowstar! I have... always wished for Hawkblaze and kits.. but... my duty to Stormclan is more important.. and is the path I tread. Thankyou... I will. Not. let Stormclan. down." [With that, reality flashed into her with a fast motion. She found herself, head shot up with alarm, int he clearing around the sparkling shape of the Moonpool. Her bristling white fur began to lie flat as she glanced around with wild yet calm blue eyes. She straightened and looked down at her still dream sharing former apprentice, her gaze concerned and timid.] "I hope your future of horrid wishes is not as bad as mine..." [Moonblaze hissed softly, mostly to herself; her fluffed tail copied her flattened pelt. She spotted Rabbitfoot, his tabby self was already awake, he, even looked shaken. She tilted her head with curiosity, for his dream. Though, she shrugged and looked up to the still shining pure moon above them, the night sky had begun to fade as she dove into thought.] I was so selfish... I can not let that future come to be..... I can't let my clan down... Thunderflight... Fadinghorizon... Silverstar.... my cousins... and.... Hawkblaze. I will stand by my clan as their faithful medicinecat.... to fight our troubles that are soon to come... Starclan.... help us!

The night's moon reveals itself with a somewhat welcoming blaze of warmth. It's hard to know how to understand a gift filled with stars and whispers...
A sapphire aura shines within me...
The moon continues to blaze with strength and compassion.... So will… will I ever obtain forbidden love?...

[Rabbitfoot stared annoyedly at his bad, now burnt paw, sighing loudly. His tail wrapped around his paws tightly as he sat up straighter, still staring down at his paw. His gaze lingered on it before it returned to the noticably shorter, darker, diagonal streak of fur stretching from his shoulder to his belly. He frowned, scoffing.]
"I seriously doubt an exit like that was hardly necessary, ya ol' coot,"
[he growled half to himself, but loud enough for others to hear. He shuddered lightly before he looked up, his eyes fixiated on the slowly lowering moon above. The once brightly glowing Silverpelt that stretched across the sky was dimming, the lights fizzling out much like the dying embers in a fire. He sighed, watching for a moment as he took in the calm air surrounding the Clearing. Despite what he had just dreamed, he felt quite at ease, some of the tension being alleviated.

The dark brown tabby's ears twitched slightly at a barely audible hiss from across the Clearing, and his head turned, barely catching Moonblaze turn away to stare up at the moon. He stared for a long time quietly, studying her stance. The slowly flattening fur on her tail hinted off that she had been alarmed before. A slightly puzzled look crossed his face briefly, but it soon disappeared as he dismissed the thought, his eyes now flickering to the virtually motionless fluff of fur that was his former mentor. He stared cautiously at the sleeping form, biting his lip thoughtfully.]

Thoughts buzzed haphazardly in his ears.
There is more than one secret in NightClan

.....Secrets that will ruin us!

Rabbitfoot's eye twitched slightly. Beautiful.

Your mentor is no longer dependable....

A somewhat puzzled look played across the tom's face as this thought repeated itself; once, twice, and thrice.
Wait....

You have good reason to suspect her...

[Rabbitfoot's eyes widened slightly and he turned, staring quietly at Hauntedheart's sleeping, lumpy form once more. He frowned deeply, his eyes narrowing. What that leader had said made him somewhat nervous. He was certain that the dead leader was right about the 'hating Foxfur' bit, but that had to be it, right? He stared longer. Was she hiding something? Such a thought made him frown even more. He honestly couldn't think of anything that would be worthwhile to hide; did she not believe in StarClan or something?

The brown tom sighed. He could always ask her that once she woke up. Waiting for just that, Rabbitfoot continued rasping his tongue across his bad paw, slowly beginning to feel the pain in his paw dullen.]

Painted souls that streak the sky

StarClan

[ Lavenderstar hissed with frustration and disappointment in Hauntedheart's face. If only she could see the mistakes she was making! The black leader's violet eyes flashed, her black claws digging into the ground. ] "You do not see the point! But that is because your own better judgement is clouded by your bitter selfishness! StarClan has watched your mistakes that you have made not once, but twice! Bearing kits to a forbidden mate not once, but twice? You have not learned from your mistakes! History has repeated itself because of your selfishness and stubbornness! StarClan is no longer able to trust you. You have proved to be an undependable medicine cat, not fit for NightClan," Lavenderstar spat, her black tail lashing. "StarClan will no longer guide you, and will no longer tolerate your tainted presence at the sacred pool. The night haunts the tainted heart. Remember that."

[ And with that, the clearing began to spin as Lavenderstar's black pelt faded into the shadows. As the dream began to fade out, the last thing the NightClan medicine cat saw was the cold winking of Lavenderstar's violet eyes. Disappointed. And with that, all went dark. ]

[ In Fadinghorizon's dream, she was whisked away to the StormClan camp. Warriors bustled about, walking right through her. Silverstar and Thunderflight barked orders for patrols, mentors took their apprentices out to train. A bitter cold wind swept across the camp, ruffling Fadinghorizon's fur. None of the other cats seemed to notice this chilling breeze. A familiar meow seemed to drift across the wind, sending the medicine cat wandering outside of camp. This voice brought Fadinghorizon to a small clearing outside of camp, riddled with pawsteps. A patch of grass began to move, and claws latched out of the grass. Pulling out of his grave came Fadinghorizon's father, his face twisted and his flesh rotting off his bones. Foxclaw turned his head to face his daughter, his empty eye sockets staring emptily (rhetorical I know e.e) at the StormClan medicine cat. Beside him up came the tiny frame of Fadinghorizon's stillborn brother, nothing but a tiny skeleton of a cat. Both cats stared at Fadinghorizon, the stench of death radiating off them in waves. The mysterious voice from the stone echoed eerily, seeming to laugh. As the two grotesque cats started toward their kin, both empty eye sockets locked on Fadinghorizon, the she-cat's vision went dark. The medicine cat's vision lightened in a small starlit cave, where cloudy blue eyes watched the medicine cat carefully. A small sigh emitted from where the eyes sat, and out from the shadows emerged Cindermoon. The former StormClan deputy's blue eyes flashed kindly, as she knew what grotesque scene the medicine cat had just witnessed. Cindermoon sighed and sat back on her haunches in front of Fadinghorizon. ] "I know what you have witnessed is quite hard for you. That stone you have seen- it is possessed with strnge properties. You only have one chance, only one escape. The one warning? Be careful what you wish for."

(( 'Scuse my inadequte roleplaying abilities in this post. v.v I'm still trying to get into the whole mysterious thing and trying to figure out how to get all the dreams in but not too obvious ways. ;A; So. I apologize! Dx ))
