~~Taela K. Atlas~~ Taela listened carefully to the instructions, then nodded before speaking. "I agree to these conditions." She prepared herself to jump into the pool of pink liquid. Here we go. Finally, after many, many years, I'm going to fly. With angel wings. She could hardly believe it. Then, she looked down into the bottle. It's definitely real. She waited for her twin to also make a decision. I'm glad we're going in together. I'll feel a little safer with him in there. She held out her hand to Ever, waiting for him to take it.

Tweverel S. Atlas Ever also listened to the instructions. Before he answered, he thought carefully about the choice in front of him. On one hand, Taela is the happiest I've ever seen her, and we're both about to get our wishes. On the other hand, we've only heard rumors about this witch; who knows what she could do. Who knows what that liquid actually does? He struggled with the matter for a minute or so, trying not to let it show on his face. He looked up at Taela, all ready to jump and holding her hand out towards him. Her expression told him to trust her. He had always trusted Taela. He took hold of her hand and also got ready to jump. He took her hand one last time and gave her a comforting look. I hope this works.

((It's okay; we're twins in real life, too, so we're sharing a computer. We have to switch off using it, but we'll try to be fairly quick with our responses. smile )) ~~Taela K. Atlas~~ Taela quietly counted down from three before she jumped in. The liquid in the bottle seemed further down that she had expected. She plunged in and found it the same consistency as water. She came up to the surface and waved Ever to come in. I don't feel any different yet. Maybe we have to soak in it for a while. She dove under, swimming to nearly the bottom, then coming back up. This is really refreshing, actually. She floated on her back and closed her eyes, waiting for the transformation to happen.

Tweverel S. Atlas Ever waited for a couple seconds after Taela jumped in. He saw her swimming around, just fine. She waved at him, and he made the final decision to jump. He counted down from three and leaped in. As soon as he cleared the opening, he turned it into a swan dive and penetrated the liquid all the way to the bottom, where he pulled his way up to the surface. How refreshing; this liquid is like water. It slightly concerned him that nothing had happened yet. However, he swam over to Taela to lay beside her. He closed his eyes, took her hand, and also waited for their wishes to come true.

(( O wow. Lucky you two. Suxx0rz that you only have one comp though. Meh *shrug* )) Foxglove O. Pitt
Foxglove was glad that they had both decided to get in and that they seemed to be having such a good time in there. However, she had no plans of keeping them in there....despite the fact she could technically keep them in there forever now. Sighing, Foxglove held the cork in her left hand and stood the bottle upright and corked it. This might be a slightly unsettling move, as it was both a surface distortion of their perception of "level", and the fact their only way out had been corked. However, Foxglove had no intention of letting them stay there, or start whining. Hefting the gourd up with her as she rose, and by the twilight moon she began her work. At first, it was gentle shaking up and down, stirring up the "water", splashing and soaking the two of them. What she needed to do was "shake the DNA loose". Like a guitarist in a metal band, she shook the gourd, twirling it in the air, "playing it" like it were said type of instrument. It was easy to get her sweating, and again, she fantasized being in an actual band, making some killer music. This went on for probably about ten minutes, at which point Foxglove considered them "done". Yes, like food. She then set it down, and brought the bottle close to her form, hugging it with as much of her as she could get around it, "charging" it with her emotions, if one could believe that. Finally, she uncorked it, and with a loud sigh of exhaustion, Foxglove wiped the sweat from her brow and hefted it once more, to upend the bottle and spill its contents everywhere. Taela and Tweverel would find themselves out of the gourd, and some...changes had occurred with both of them. Only Foxglove herself knew what she had done to them. Now came the fun part of watching as they found out what they could now do...and what had been done to them. There was a reason she was called a "witch", after all. "Well....there you go. I do hope you enjoy your powers. Just remember that nothing is free. It's like what they say that "with awesome powers come ridiculous responsibilities"...or something like that. Anyway, the deed is done, and your wishes are granted. Poof!"

((Right? It's pretty awful)). ~~Taela K. Atlas~~ Even beneath her eyelids, Taela saw the light of the moon no longer entered the bottle. She opened her eyes and saw complete darkness. What's going on? She thought nervously. She was about to warn Ever, but before she could, she noticed that the bottle started moving, very slowly, but it was moving. Then, the shaking become faster and faster until Taela was ricocheting off of every side of the gourd with an occasional bump into Ever. This is hell! She thought If we get out of here alive, I will never trust a pink liquid. This seemed to go on forever. Then, the shaking stopped and the liquid slowly came to a stop as well. Finally, the cork came off, and she came rushing out. Taela couldn't help screaming, like a kid that was reaching the end of a water slide, as she swiftly exited the bottle onto the ground outside. As soon as she had finished coughing up the liquid that had entered her lungs, she stood up and pulled on her hair to dry it slightly. This is definitely not a good time for my hair to be wet. She had an itch on her back, but when she went to scratch it, she felt something that hadn't been there before. She also realized that she felt an extra muscle her back. She flexed it, and two beautiful, cloud-like wings appeared before her. She touched them, and they felt exactly how she imagined. Soft and feathery on the outside, but also very strong. She turned to the witch, about to thank her, when the speech made her confused. "Wait... what? I didn't know this cost money. If I had known, I would have brought some. Maybe I could do some work for you to make it up..." She looked over at Ever, who was also just getting up, and screamed. "EVER! What happened to you?" Her twin had been turned into a very beautiful girl and was just getting his (her?) bearings. She turned, very upset towards the witch, who was, probably, very amused at this point. "What have you done to Ever?" She said, flapping her wings in annoyance.

Tweverel (Ever) S. Atlas Ever's eyes snapped open when he first saw that blue light of the moon and the red light given off by the fire were gone from the bottle. He turned to warn Taela but found he couldn't. His voice had vanished. Maybe too much of that water entered my lungs. He became a little more desperate when the bottle began to shake, slowly and gently at first, then quickly and violently. The liquid beat him against every wall in that gourd and even made him crash into Taela a couple times. He tried to grab hold of her, but every time he was too late. He no longer knew which way was up and down or left and right. He just knew that he had to get out. Soon. Ever was relieved when the shaking slowed down, then stopped. He felt the gourd hit the ground, where it stayed for a while. Finally, it tipped over, and the cork came off. He managed to see and hear Taela as she screamed her exit. He tried to yell to her, but, again, nothing came out. He came crashing onto the ground outside and coughed up his share of the pink liquid. He heard a faint rejoicing in the background. Most likely Taela. he thought. He couldn't wait to see her wings. He then heard her confused voice, something about money. Oh, no. he thought, I hope the witch doesn't charge anything for these services. Ever could hear his twin rambling on, so he decided to stand up. He started to regain his vision and looked at the ground first, as if to save the first look at her for a special reveal. He, then, heard his sister scream at him, asking what happened to him. He knit his eyebrows and shook his vision into focus. He was wearing his clothes, but something was different. They didn't seem as filled out, except for his chest. It seemed his shirt was stretching. There was something hot on his neck. He pushed it, and he found it was... hair? He raked his hands through it. Yes, it was fairly long hair; it was about shoulder length. This was all a very passive experience until the realization hit Ever. He widened his eyes, looked down at his chest and found that his torso was much larger and more cushiony than before. He looked at his hands; they were shrunk. Am I? Am I a... "Girl?" He said out loud. His own voice shocked him. It was nearly the same as the witch's voice. Very raspy, like he (she?) had been a chain smoker for twenty years. He looked over at Taela, who was now complaining to the witch. He yelled, as best as he could, "TAELA!" He/she coughed a couple times before he/she could continue. "What happened to you?" The witch had made his sister into the most unattractive thing on earth. It's not that she had warts or nastiness. There was just no attraction to her from him/her, and it wasn't just because he was a girl now. He couldn't imagine any man courting her now. He turned to the witch. "What have you done to us?" He injected venom into his tone, which was even, except for the raspiness. ((I know, I changed it. I decided to just go all the way with it. I hope you don't mind)).

Foxglove O. Pitt
Their cries of anguish and of fury were met only with a thin, faint smile that almost seemed to mock them. "Are you not...angels, as you wanted to be? Did I....somehow get it wrong? I made you capable of doing what you wished for. Taela can now fly with the graceful wings of an angel, and you can harness the powers of the seraphim. And yet....you found something wrong. Honestly....when you think of the word, "witch", what do you expect or imagine? An ugly, green skinned, wart on long, crooked nose hag that cackles evilly? Or do you see past it for the deeds they do? You honestly should have thought that through before accepting or even seeking me out. Though, witch is a terrible term I don't like being called by. First...and foremost....I am your superior. Captain Foxglove Pitt, in your presence. I command this Sixth Fleet of the Marines. You may call me "Maou Foxglove". Most of the crew here does. But..." Foxglove began, before standing up as the dawn began to break, shining forth on her nearly black skinned form. "I suppose you wondered why I asked about angels and why I granted your wishes. The answer," she continued before unclasping the cloak and letting it fall to reveal her nearly bare form and all of its bizarre and hideous features. "...is simple. Need I go further?" Three sets of leathery bat like wings one normally associated with a demon, a fairly long, substantial tail with again, a devil motif theme. Sharpened nails, very long and pointed ears completed the theme, and she flapped her own wings, as if to counter and belittle Taela's own extension and display of annoyance. "You see what I am? My power is that of a devil fruit's. Key emphasis on devil. So I figure what I look like is close to that of a devil, and my fruit responds in kind to what I do. You both will taste lovely though, since you are wretchedly honest and pure. I leave you with two choices. You can either return as you are back to your own captain and division....and track down my location again and pay for another contract to nullify and restate the terms....or you can join my crew, and change whenever it is night time. The contract you made with me, signified by the 's' tattoos on your right cheeks, entitles me as capable of stripping you of your powers any time I feel like it. Oh sure, they'll last so long as the sun is up, but once night falls and you lose them...they're gone....of course, you're more than welcome to come back and make another contract. No, it won't involve another 's' on your other cheek or another one on that one. Just once is enough. Anyway, it is nearly dawn, so I suggest you make your choice and make your way to one or the other. It's time for me to rest now. Oh....and at least you had a choice in what you wished you would be able to do or look like. This is my form. Despite being paramecia, my fruit and I have "bonded", altered my form to more easily imitate its powers. Your "sister" there, she might take a bit of time getting used to the new body, but I suggest not going for a swim any time soon....like for the rest of "its" life type soon." With that, Foxglove allowed a chuckle or two, her own similar rasping, husky mix echoing in their ears as she picked her equipment up and began moving towards the tent towards the back of the ship.
Elsewhere, the beginnings of the "day shift" of the Sixth Fleet began showing themselves, doing other duties that a typical marine would do, like scrubbing the decks, straightening sails, and they looked nothing like marines. No order, no uniform, but they did do the proper procedures, albeit being probably the worst looking crew...period.

~~Taela K. Atlas~~ The intimidation had its effect on Taela. She was thoroughly afraid of this 'benevolent' witch of the East Blue. She gathered her courage and was about to protest, but she realized that Foxglove told the truth. It's true. Well, I haven't seen Ever's powers yet, but I do have these wings. I think I could fly anywhere. We got what we asked for, just a little more. She glanced at her newfound twin sister and sighed. Okay, a lot more than what we asked for. But, I guess it could be kinda nice, at least for me. I'll try to explain it to Ever later. She turned to Foxglove and considered the options. She gathered her courage to speak to this extremely powerful being. "So, if I understand correctly, if we choose to stay with you, we turn back to our normal selves at night; if we don't stay with you, we're like this for the rest of our lives? Taela inquired. Another thing worried her; she decided to ask about it. "And... if you know, what happened to me? I don't see anything wrong with me.

Tweverel's New LookTweverel S. Atlas Foxglove's question also made Ever stop in his/her tracks. Let's see... He turned to the left, pointed his left hand at a tree, and let the energy flow inside his body. Without being totally conscious of what he was doing, he/she shouted, "Grappling Hook!" A beam of light shot from his palm and latched onto the nearby tree. He/she screamed as he/she soared through the air and grabbed the tree. She's right... We did get what we asked for. Guess we can't argue with that Ever thought grimly. She climbed down the tree and made her way over to Foxglove and her twin sister, who seemed to also be pondering the subject. She turned her attention to Foxglove, who gave the two the options they had. Ever wanted to clarify the options, but Taela asked about them first. I love being a twin. he thought smugly. Ever began to consider the options by himself. If we don't stay, I'll be a girl forever. I don't know if I want that. If we leave, and come back, the contract we make might be even worse. Whatever Taela decides, I'll stay with her.

Foxglove O. Pitt
Foxglove paused at Taela's inquiries, turned her head partially, and only smiled. "No. You have angel wings now forever, until either someone rips or cuts them off. Likewise, your sister there will be a devil fruit user and a female for the rest of her life, unless the two of you make another contract with me to alter that. So those are your forms now no matter what you do or where you stay. And...as for what happened to you, why not ask your sister? She seems to have a pair of eyes with which to view you. If you have further inquiries," Foxglove began, shielding her eyes with her partially free hand before continuing, "Speak with my lieutenant, Mey. You'll know her off the bat. Good day to you, because the sun does me no favors." With that, Foxglove ducked inside her tent, and the flaps were quickly tied shut.

~~Taela K. Atlas~~ Taela sighed in exasperation and decided to go search out Foxglove's lieutenant, Mey. Hopefully, she'll be able to help us. She beckoned her sister over, and they walked together. I'll ask Ever later about me. She looked around for a while until she saw the lieutenant. Maou Foxglove was right. I can definitely tell that's Mey. She quickly approached the lieutenant. "Excuse me, Lieutenant Mey? I have a few questions for you!" She came right next to Mey, waiting patiently for her to turn and answer Taela's questions.

Tweverel S. Atlas Ever quickly followed her sister after Foxglove disappeared inside her tent. He had decided that he was going to tell her what had happened later, after they had their questions answered by this Mey. He kind of let his focus on finding Mey slip and let Taela lead the way by looking at the crew. How strange, he thought, these Marines are lazy but efficient. No uniforms, no organization. Yet they get the jobs done. Hm. Ever pondered this for a while until he heard Taela yell out the name of the lieutenant they had to find. She had to run to keep up with Taela, who was booking it toward Mey. She wasn't used to these much-shorter legs. Plus, she was already beginning to get hot. Her thick hair caused the temperature on her neck to rise exponentially. As soon as she caught up, she pulled her hair up and felt the breeze on her neck. She smiled and closed her eyes. That feels so good. She thought, Now, if only I had a way to keep it up. Taela had now begun trying to get the lieutenant's attention. Ever felt no need to help her; Taela had a way of making herself known.

(NPC) Lieutenant Mey
Mey was not a particularly hard person to find, as her captain had said. "Know her when you see her". Probably due to the fact the rest of the crew consisted primarily of adult, crossdressing men or even transvestites, the presence of a small girl with the darkest tan of any of those aboard, a generally wary and unhappy look...presumed because of her child-like body and status. "Yeah whaddya want? You new here? Lemme guess.....more brass from another division? Pardon the informal A-tire, but this is fairly unannounced. So? You got questions, I got answers. I'd read your ranks, but looks like you went through the wash. Spit 'em out, I got loafers about, and I'm the only one that'll do anything about it and keep the fleet in operational status during the day time." Mey seemed a bit...snappy, again, this fit in tune with her general look she had about her.
