The royal messenger bowed. "I am on the Messenger and do not have the knowlege of the contents. I am sure these gifts are costly, perfect gifts for the young fiance." He noticed her baffled look and carefully opened the gift for her to reveal fancy gold necklaces and bracelets. In the middle of one was a small velvet box containing a pure golden and silver ring with diamonds on top. The servant then stepped back and observed her and her mom's reactions.

Sheryl starred at the gifts, wide-eyed and speachless, "Ginger! Oh my, how lovely." She examined the ring and picked it up, "Well, put this on your finger, Gi-" "No." Ginger interupted her, "The 'wonderful' young heir gave this to me, I'll do what I want with it." She handed her mom the golden necklaces along with the gorgeous ring, "Sell it, Mom. We could use the extra money." Sheryl smiled, "No dear, not your engagement ring." Ginger rolled her eyes, "Engagement ring? Who said that I was marrying him?" "Prince Elliot did, Dear. You're marrying him." Sheryl shoved the gifts back into Ginger's hands. Ginger dropped the gifts, "No, I'm not." She growled, "I don't care what that snobby, spoiled heir has to say about it!" Sheryl put her hands on her hips, "The prince chose you, Ginger, and here you are mouthing off about him!" "Yep." She pushed the servant aside and walked out into the streets of the village. "And where are you going?" Sheryl demanded. "Dunno, Don't care." Ginger snapped, turning around, "Somewhere where I won't have people deciding my future for me." With that, she continued walking down the street, ignoring her mother's demands that turned to pleas. "I am not marrying that Prince Elliot!" She screamed at herself, ignoring the odd looks she received from bystanders in the village.

The messenger stared at the scene astonished. He had never met a girl who was so unwilling to marry the prince. The servant bowed to Sheryl and mounted on his horse. "I am to inform the prince of this," he announced before riding off, back to the palace. Once he was at the palace, he unmounted his horse and placed it in the stable assigned to him. The messenger then rushed into the palace and the room where the prince was still in. He quickly bowed and reported the news. "Bad news! The bride has stormed away off into the streets. Shall I send search parties to find her?" The prince narrowed his eyes. "No, that would be too much of a hassle. It'll just bring an uproar among the people." The servants began crowding around him. "What shall we do Young Heir?" "Would you please pack my clothes? Don't bring anything too fancy and rich. No jewlery. I have no need for such things now. I only need money, a horse, my sword, and my clothing. Please hurry." The servants obeyed, rushing too and from, putting his items in a mere, rough material bag. The prince dressed in his training clothes, though much different from what he would usually wear. He wore a cloak around himself and hing his sheath from his belt. Finally the preperations were done and the prince was able to set off. He mounted on a small brown horse with his belonging attached to his saddle. Elliot rode off into the night with the servants giving a tearful goodbye, fearing that he was going to get injured or hurt without them. However, Elliot had strongly refused to have bodyguards for this trip. He didn't want to bring attention upon himself.

Ginger kept walking, not stopping, with her arms crossed and grumbling to herself about how it was her future. She stopped a moment and though about her mom. She shook her head and kept walking, She'll be just fine with all those precious gifts my 'fiancee' gave me. She rolled her eyes at the though, The prince..wants to marry me? The Prince Elliot..heir to the thrown of all of freaking Japan and he wants to marry me, the poor commoner, Ginger Siolda? It all doesn't make any sense..

Elliot glanced around the village. There were too many of the townfolks walking around and bowing to him. Plus he had no knowledge of what her favorite place was so he couldn't look for it. He wandered around the village, wondering what he got himself into. Sometimes he paused and ask around and they would point him in all sorts of directions, all not working. Finally he gave up and decided to look for her on his own since asking for directions didn't work. He looked around, feeling sad and depressed.

Ginger turned around, hearing the commotion going on behind her. She groaned when she heard the word, Prince. She rolled her eyes and kept walking, not stopping, until she ran into a rather odd character. "Hello, miss." A little old man, maybe around the old age of 80 or late 70's came out of the shadows with a raspy and almost evil-sounding voice, craack with age, "Do you have any..valuables?" He eyed her up and down. Ginger backed away, not sure if he was literally talking about valuables as in items. Of course, to her luck, she backed right up into a horse. A little brown horse. But even so, the creepy old man kept following her.

Elliot them noticed a girl who backed up into his horse with an old man following her. Much to his luck, he found the girl he was looking for. "Ms. Siolda, it's not safe to roam the streets at night. Come along now," he said gently, holding out his hand to her so she could get up on the horse. He eyed the man carefully. "Sir, you shouldn't follow young maidens like that. It'll trouble their hearts and frighten them away."

Ginger recognized the voice and looked up slowly, frowning when her hypothesis was right, "Well, if it isn't the Prince Elliot himself?" She narrowed her eyes at him, crossing her arms and refusing to take his hand, "Streets are better than being around anyone who wants to decide who I'm marrying." She huffed and shot an evil glare at the old man who quickly disappeared into the the shadows after being told to by the prince. She then rolled her eyes and started walking off again, "I refuse." she grumbled.

Elliot smiled. "And I have the choice to pick whoever I want to marry. Not because I'm the prince, but because everyone has choices to make in their life. And I choose you, so what are you going to do about it Miss Siolda?" He then began following her around, still riding his horse. "Now that I'm out of the palace thanks to you, I don't want to go back. Take me out of the country somewhere," he ordered.

((oof..shes not gonna be too happy about that XD))
Ginger stopped in her tracks and turned around to glare at Elliot, "Okay, first of all you're actually right. People have choices in their lives." She puts her hands on her hips, "Unfortunately for you, you've had servants your whole spoiled life pampering you and making all your choices for you." She rolled her eyes, "I have the choice to not marry you..and that's just what I intend to do." She huffed and continued, "Second, it's because of me youre oout of the palace?" She shook her head, "Oh, no no no, that was your fault and your choosing." She held up three fingers to show she was going to prove her third point, "And do not tell me what to do, Elliot." She growled through clenched teeth, knowing very well she didn't address him as 'prince'...she did that on purpose, "Again..I refuse your hand in marriage." She grumbled as she turned around to continue walking away.

Elliot steered his horse so that it was right in front of herr. "Good because I didn't listen to what you said. I do afterall, have the right not to listen to you, so why should I? Besides, because I am the prince, you have to listen to me. " He smirked and stepped to the side to continue walking along with her. "Let's make a deal. We both want freedom in our lives. So why not achieve it together? How about we go to America, spend the rest of our lives there, and not have to worry about anything else? America is a land of freedom afterall."

Ginger glared at him, "Why the hell would I go anywhere with a pampered poodle such as yourself. You're such a little brat, you know that?" She rolled her eyes and continued walking, but stopped to scold him again, "And why would you, the prince of freaking Japan, want 'freedom' in your life? Your life is flawless, glittering with jewels and riches while I have people, you included, trying to decide what I do." She shook her head, irritated, and continued walking away.

Elliot unmounted his horse and grabbed her wrist. "Me the pampered poodle? Me the little brat? You should be talking about youself! You think you're so great, arguing back? Think again! You could get yourself in trouble like this!" He sighed heavily. "At least you get to spend time with your parents. I'll never get that opportunity. My parents gave me servants to dote over me so I wouldn't miss them. But it's meaningless. They will never replace my parents because they will never be the same. I am sure they do this only because they were ordered to.... If you think that I choose you, think again. My servants choose for me by the orders of the king. I accepted only because I need a wife to make me a heir to the throne. Don't think you're so special."

Ginger glared at him and pulled her wrist from him, "Then leave me along if I'm not so special." She smiled, "It's not like you'd miss me so bye." She waved teasingly and attempted walking away. She was a little taken aback from his words. He called me a pampered poodle and a little brat! She rolled her eyes and rubbed her wrist. He wasn't too gentle with his words or actions. She sighed, slightly insulted, but she kept going..or at least tried to.

Elliot smirked. "So you weren't affected by those words?" He led his horse as he walked the paved sidewalk, next to Ginger. "I have nowhere to go as I cannot leave the country. People will recognize me." Even as he said it, people stopped to stare at why the prince was with a village girl. The prince swiftly covered his head with the hood and his mouth with charcoal black cloth. "I don't want to go back where I know I will get the wrong kind of attention."
