Ren gave LW a mock outraged look, pressing a hand to his chest. "Why, LW, I am both shocked and appalled that you would think so low of me," he said, sounding melodramatically hurt (he really wasn't) and trying not to sound amused (he really was). "I would never do something as ridiculous and low as put something inappropriate on your nametag" A pause. "At least not without conferring with Gabrian first about it."
Ren darted out of the way before LW could swat at him, smiling brightly at Tahki. He had developed a sort of soft spot for the gryphonness; not only was she like him in species, but he like the quiet shyness she held most of the time that was combined with her fierce gaming skills. She was a delightful ghoul.
A few more people had arrived now - a young ghoul who seemed to be a bit unsure of what she was doing, as well as a tall dragon with dark hair, a small ghoul with a hood up over her head and a patchwork boil. Ren's gaze went first to the patchwork - he hadn't seen another besides Christof, and this one seemed very eager, his eyes bright with interest.
"Welcome, welcome!" Ren greeted them all with a grin. His eyes moved to their nametags, trying to get them all right. "Moure," he said, reaching out to clap his good hand on the boil's shoulder. "I'm Ren; glad to see you here, man."
He went to the first ghoul next, the one who seemed a little confused. "Edel?" Ren said, and beamed a smile at her, holding his right hand out for a handshake. "I'm glad to see more ghouls are interested. If you have any questions, just ask me or LW over there - she's the werewolf, and she's just as good as me."
Ren flashed the shewolf a playful wink before stepping to the next person - the hooded ghoul whose nametag he had to squint at to try and read. "Winona?" he asked, testing it out and tilting his head questioningly at her, trying to make sure he had gotten it right. "Glad to meet you! Please, stay, talk, have fun with us."
The last person he saw was the dragon boil, who hadn't stuck a name tag on yet and who looked...well, like he had no idea what Scario Kart was. Ren swaggered over to him, leaning his good arm casually on the boil's shoulder. "Yo!" he said in greeting, giving a mock salute with his bandaged hand. "You seem to be a bit confused, my good man, so lemme just say that Scario Kart is the best video game pretty much in existence."
Pivoting, Ren stepped in front of the dragon and held out his good hand, grinning. "The name's Ren," he said. "Who're you?"

Tybalt was a little late to the party, but at least he had decided to show up. He after all, was also a member of this club too and despite the fact that Ren was the co-owner of it, the black dog seemed fairly fond of the game. Or at least from the amount he's seen so far.
Apparently others seemed to be showing interest as well. There were several new faces around and it was only because of these new faces that the black dog even remembered that it was Open House today. He wasn't one to remember these things after all.
"Hey LW, Tahki... Idiot bird." He called. Adding the last part on casually before walking over and hoisting himself up to sit on the edge of the table; ignoring the name tags. If they wanted his name, they could ask for it.
"So... New fish?" He asked, gesturing to all the visitors hanging about.

Tsubaki couldn't help but let out a little sigh of disappointment while starting down the hallway to where most of the club booths seemed to be set up at. Her heart had been set on exploring the library of the school the moment her mother had come to tell her that AA was having a open house for potential students. Naturally, her parents had wanted her to go and get a feel for the place... though quite a bit differently. On one hand was her mother, hoping that Tsu just had some fun and mingled a bit. On the other hand was her father, lecturing her about not messing up this chance she would have to get into a more diverse school and to make sure not to offend people or ruin possible alliances. A roll of her eyes was all she gave while all this was going on, only thinking about the impressive library that a school of that size must have. Though now that Tsubaki was actually here, it was a little bit of a disappointment. Of course not with the library, but with the amount of people that had group there and were takling amongst themselves. 'Oh goodness... well... maybe I'll check back in a little bit. This kind of atmosphere really isn't one that reading would be productive in. the ghoul thought to herself, doing nothing more than observing things from the doorway before passing it by. A pity really, but the open house was just beginning, and as such, she decided to go and take a look at what kind of clubs might be set up. Hmm... well there didn't seem to be too many at the moment, though the Scario Cart booth had caught her eye. Fitness was well... honestly it just got in the way of her books. From some of the boils and ghouls she'd over-heard talking about such games, it was almost like watching a book... depending on what one was playing at a time. However this might not be the case, but nevertheless Tsu ventured over closer, deciding to just stand at the edge of the crowd for a moment and observe as a few of the club members talked to the small crowd there. Noticing that they seemed to be filling out some sort of paper she slowly make her way over closer to the booth, a little curious as to exactly what they were. 'Hmm... name tags. Makes sense, and it would have been a good idea for the school to include them with these skull tags.' Reaching out then and giving a little smile as she snagged a name tag and pen, scribbling on it and then placing it on herself.

Winona displayed clear anxiety when the gryphon had to lean in to read her tiny name and exhaled once Ren had moved on to address the glowstick'd boil who had yet to give out his name.
Thankfully, the name tag crisis (as she considered it) was averted! For now.
She thought to perhaps retry her question again about how to play this "best video game in existence" when they were joined by a ghostly, glowing boil who also seemed to know the trio of students.
She did blink at his comment. "Sh-Shadowmancer," Winona clarified meekly, though it slightly mortified her to think that she had warranted a description of "fish"! Was there something on her cloak she hadn't swept off? Did her hood look like a dastardly fin?
Oh, how she wished she could at least hold Tenebrae. At least he knew how to handle social nuances like this!
And then the air seemed to get chillier as another visitor came to them, one whose clothes were so richly designed, she felt shabby in comparison. Squinting as surreptitiously as she could, Whinn read the ghoul's name: "Tsubaki".
Then she collectively wiggled her fingers in hello at both her and the other ghostly boil. How many could this game hold anyway . . . ?

Scario Kart was a video game? Or that's what the patchwork boil said. It was confirmed when the gryphon spoke as well. Swaying slightly when Ren leaned against him, he managed to straighten himself out and look over to the boil. "Oh. Okay.." The dragon paused, as if to think it over a moment." What's a video game?" It was pretty much useless to attempt to educate Haze without a proper demonstration when it came to technology. After all, he had lived his whole life in a swamp until now. They didn't exactly have outlets in trees after all.
Standing to this full height, he gave a wry grin. "M'name's Haze." His eye's shifted to another student, a black skinned boil. "Fish? You have fish here? Good! I'm starving!"

Tahki found her self being hugged by Ren which made her freeze up just slightly. It wasn't even because Ren was a boil hugging her as much as the fact Tahki lived a very secluded life. The hugging was a surprise and her brain wasn't fast enough to hug back as it was still trying to figure out what was going on.
Still Tahki smiled and though happy to see her friend gryphon from earlier. And before she knew anything else she was being pushed in LWs direction which made her ears go down in shyness. LW answered the question before Tahki though which made her a little more at ease.
"Y-yes.. We have a few classes together... " The gryphon took the wolfs hand happily and gently shook it happy to meet a friend that Ren was proud enough of to call his very best. She had to be a good person then.
The introductions were cut a little short though as more students filed toward the booth. All of them pretty much new faces which made the white gryphon tense up just a smidge. Why had she let Charlie direct where she was going today? What even possessed the demon boil to come to HER and not someone else to go to the open house with? Wasn't he friends with that green reaper, Lizzy, and Amrita? The gryphon bit her lip some and gave a very shy and nervous wave to some of the new faces in an attempt to be social.
"I-Its nice to meet you all... Umm.. I'm Tahki.." She didn't say it to any of the new faces in particular as much as in general. Though one of the new faces wasn't new at all and belonged to the kind hearted black dog that had escorted her back to the dorms which made the gryphon light up just a little.
"Tybalt!" That had been a little louder then she had meant it originally. It surprised her to see the black dog out and about over here though. But she was happy to be around Ren, LW and now Tybalt around all these new faces. It made her nerves ease up.
The dragons comment on fish though made Tahki do a double take. She couldn't help but smile at it. Fish did sound good.

LW snorted at Ren and waved airly at him. "You'll survive, kitten." She winked, knowing he was kidding. At his confession, LW grabbed his arm and gave him a tight hug before dancing away to mingle with everyone else. Not that she strayed that far from him. Most of the people seemed to be gathered near the two anyways.
Giving Tahki a warm smile, LW gave a small tail wag. "I'm glad to formally meet you, Tahki! And I'm very happy to have you here today." She meant it too. Anyone that was a good friend of Ren's was a friend to her!
The she-wolf twisted around hearing her name and beamed at the black dog. "Tybalt! Glad you could come out with us." LW patted him on the shoulder and finally pulled the damn nametag off her forehead and slapped it over her left collarbone. "Now, both of you," she met both Tybalt's and Ren's eyes, "be nice for the newbies." Grinning at the two, LW turned towards the ghoul who had softly asked about Scario Kart. The she-wolf looked at her nametag before smiling and responding. "Winona, is it? Pleased to meet you! Scario Kart is played on a Scarestation. It's a racing game where you chose a character and multiple players can race one another. There are even fun little things you can pick up from item boxes that allow you to...shot opponents." At this, her violet gaze flashed towards Ren. He was pro at this. She would know. He nailed her on the mark every Jack damned time. "Feel free to ask me any other questions you might have. I don't mind answering!" Smiling warmly at the ghoul, LW turned to greet more new faces.
Her attention went back to Moure. The patchwork. "I'm sure you met Ren, already. I'm LW! You a big fan of Scario Kart?" He looked fairly intrigued by the game. Of course she would assume he liked it! Movement caught her eyes and LW spotted someone else new. Squinting her eyes slightly, she read the nametag. Tsubaki. Not a name she knew. The she-wolf waved happily. "Welcome! Name's LW. If you have any questions about what Scario Kart is, just ask myself or Ren." LW paused. "Or Tybalt. He can answer questions too."
With a smile, LW twisted around and spotted Ren again. She danced over and gave the boil he was talking with a sweet smile. Who was he? He didn't have a name tag and LW couldn't figure out what sort of creature he was. "Hi there! He's not scaring you, is he?" The she-wolf pinched Ren's cheek playfully and giggled at him. "Are you behaving?" She said suspiciously kissing his cheek and moving away to go back over to the black dog. "I'm surprised at how many people have shown up!"

A familiar - and grating - voice caught Ren's attention and he slowly swiveled, eyebrows lifting.
"Well, well, well, if it isn't the shrunken schnauzer," he said dryly, giving Tybalt a withering look. He had pretty much forgotten that the black dog was in the club, but unfortunately he had also tried (and mostly failed) to forget the fact that he was friends with LW. With a sigh, he pushed his hair back away from his face.
"You need a nametag," he said to Tybalt, eying him suspiciously, but then a look of what seemed to be inspiration dawning on his face. He stepped over to the table, pushed Tybalt off of it, and scribbled something hastily on a nametag. Then he peeled it off and promptly slapped it onto the black dog's forehead.
"Here you go," Ren said, smiling brightly. "Just for you, Tybalt~"

Another ghoul had arrived, this one slender, with vibrant blue hair piled up on top of her head. It reminded him of Natalia's hair, and for a second he just stared, swallowing back an urge to call the werelemur. Then he forced himself to remember what she had said to him, shoving the memories aside and offering the new ghoul a friendly smile.
"Tsubaki, is it?" he asked her, and reached out to shake her hand. "A pleasure, darling, glad you could join us. Are you visiting?"
Haze was an interesting case. When the dragon mentioned not knowing what video games were, Ren's eyebrows rose so high they almost disappeared into his unruly bangs. "What's a vi...okay," he said, and took ahold of Haze's shoulders, propelling the dragon towards LW. "We have a situation here, wolflove," he said dramatically, gesturing towards the boil. "Haze here doesn't know what a video game is."
He paused briefly, then tilted his head, grinning at his best friend. "What say we show him what it is?"

Tsubaki just smiled a little, nodding her head slightly while waving back to Winona, feeling a bit nervous at being around a reaper though doing her best not to show it. Appearances could be deceiving, but at the same time she couldn't help but feel a little sorry for the girl who seemed a bit distressed at the moment. Crowds weren't usually her thing either but this bunch seemed a bit more laid back, so it might not be as bad.
Other than that she was content just to stand there and watch the interactions between the club members as well as the interested persons at the booth. It seemed this Scario Cart wasn't as much of a story as it was almost like training and competition. Might be interesting enough if the chance ever arose to watch a game or two. Though as LW came over she fought back a few butterflies in her own stomach, forcing a bit of a smile for the other ghoul. "Thank you very much, I usually just observe, so please don't mind me. If anything comes to mind, I'll be sure to speak up." she replied before Ren came up and shook her hand. It was a bit of an odd sensation, well as was touching most other creatures, since they were usually more warm blooded. "Yes, I've come for the Open House. It's certainly a learning experience, thank you for the welcome."
Though taking a glance at the name tag for the one called Tybalt Tsu couldn't help but laugh a little, making a futile attempt to hide it behind one of her hands. He didn't look much like a pipsqueak and she had a feeling that there was going to be a bit of trouble for anyone who might have called him that.

Ren clapped his hands together (it kinda hurt, but he ignored that) and climbed up to stand on the nearest chair. "Okay, guys!" he said, grinning down at the group. Gesturing to his left, Ren pointed to the set of skelevisions and Scarestations that sat on the ground, surrounded by a pile of plush pillows and bags of cookies shaped into tiny racecars (homemade by Alessa just for the occasion).
"Let's play a little, shall we?"Quote: ★TIME FOR A RACE!★
You ready to take that competitive side for a drive? Then we have just the thing for you! A friendly game of Scario Kart! Here's the low down:
This is a single player, good, ole' fashioned speed race known as a Time Trial!
Roll ONE 10-sided dice with your post. This race will last for 12 hours and you may roll three times total UNLESS you roll a 1 or a 10. If you roll a 1 or a 10, then you've hit a speed boost and can roll one extra roll. If you roll a 1 or 10 on this extra roll you may not roll again. Everyone can only get ONE speed boost this game!
These must be roleplayed out! It's okay if it's only a few lines of your character playing; we just want to see you guys interacting and roleplaying.
Also no consecutive rolls will be allowed! Meaning you can't post three times in a row; at least one person has to post between your rolls.
Please keep track of your rolls in OOC brackets in your posts! Otherwise Kyri and I will die attempting to figure stuff out. |D;;
Winners will be determined by how fast you went (all of your rolls tallied up) and prizes will be distributed at the end of this game!
If you have any questions, please feel free to PM me or hit me up on MSN (kuromizuki@hotmail.com) or AIM (kuromizuki)! Don't post them here! "If you guys need any help," Ren added, hopping down from the chair. "Just give me or LW a holler, and we'll be right over to show you guys the ropes~!"

As the girl he was talking to, Edel apparently, figured out the name-tab thing by example. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Edel..." He almost had an impluse to call her 'Miss' or 'Lady', half due probably to his Patchwork brain and it's instinct to serve, and half due by her classy appearance. As she managed to stick her own name tag to her form, Moure gave a nod and brief smile. "Exactly like that, actually." Weird usually Moure wasn't this...chatty.
Scario Kart Club must put him in a great mood or something.
Another girl, one that looked to be some form of reaper(?), had appeared and had some flurried trouble with her own name tag. Apparently, her name was Winona. He would have offered her help too, but then it seemed one of the official members, the were-wolf named LW, began speaking. A thanks for checking out the club was offered, and Moure debated mentioning it was one of the first ones he wanted to see, but she was still speaking so he didn't. When she mentioned Scario Kart was an awesome game, Moure nodded in confirmation.
LW and Ren. They must be the leaders of the club, from their reactions. Well, Moure would be happy to join as soon as he could so he could play against them. Oh, how Moure loved racing.
Moure was slightly surprised when he realizedRen, the gryphon boil Moure figured was in charge, was looking over the newcomers. He was more surprised when the boil addressed him specifically first, and gave him a pat on the shoulder. He nodded with a grin, "Happy to be here. When I heard there was a club for Scario Kart while I was getting my papers in, even though it seems there's been a bit of paperwork issues... Anyway, I knew I had to check it out." Moure wondered if they would catch that he mentioned he was actually coming to the school soon. Well, they'd find out one way or another.
LW had returned to talking with him. She asked if he likes Scario Kart. Moure couldn't help but grin a bit more. "Scario Kart is my favorite video game, actually. I love racing, both in reality and video games." So many new people to play against, the patchwork runner couldn't wait to play.
Apparently, he didn't have to either. They were playing, and they were apparently playing, like, now. This was AWESOME. Making his way over to the gaming area, Moure plopped down into one of the bean-bags and picked up a controller. He flicked through the characters unlocked (not surprised that they all were) and settled on Skeloshi, then cycled through the karts available, picking the one good speed and relatively good handling. They were going to start, right? Well, this was the perfect way for Moure to start his Open House experience. As the race started, Moure grinned and pushed his Kart down the track.
(The Game is open, right? l'D;;; If so, ROLL ONE FOR MOURE~ Number Rolled: 9 )
(And I didn't know if you guys have official fake character names for the In-game racers, so I just called the yoshi equivalent Skeloshi. l'D;;; Tell me if you have real names for them?)

Her attention was drawn once again back to Moure. "Really? That is fantastic! You'll fit right in with us then." The she-wolf giggled. "Maybe you'll even give Ren a challenge." Oh she tried to. Tried very hard and had almost won several times. But that sneaky gryphon kicked her jack damned butt every time! Something the boil had said before clicked and LW's features lit up even more. "Ooooh, so you'll be a student soon? Hit us up when you're official!" Her tail swished eagerly and she winked.
As Ren brought to her attention another boil, a mock gasp of horror escaped as he told her the one boil (Haze) didn't know what video games were! LW grinned and met her bestie's eyes. Yep. It was totally game time. Winking at both boils, LW moved to make sure the Scarestations and Skelevisions were all turned on and ready to go while Ren told everyone it was game time!
Bouncing out of the way, the she-wolf moved next to her partner in crime and grinned at everyone else. "Come on! I wanna see how good y'all are at racing." Being...herself, the she-wolf slipped her arm around Ren's and leaned against him, tail flicking. "Have fun, kids." She snickered.
((Yep! The game is open^^ And nope! We don't have names for them. Just coming up with a Halloween equivalent will be good enough!))

Moure's eyes flickered between his rather fast Kart and LW. She was very good at making people feel welcome, at least that's the feeling Moure got from what he'd heard the ghoul. (Maybe it was just that Moure wasn't used to people actually being this nice?) As she spoke again, he gave a nod and grin. "I hope so. This place is awesome..." He paused to navigate around some tricky obstacle of some kind, then continued. "So, Ren's an amazing racer, I take it?" He asked, focus flitting between her and the screen. She apparently realized that he was going to be enrolled and Moure gave another nod. "I will certainly do so. This club's been at the top end of the ones I've wanted to join since I heard of it." This was a true statement. The Scario Kart Club was just under the Track Club in terms of how much Moure wanted to be in it. And, coming from the built-for-racing boil, that's saying something.
((I'm not sure if I can roll again, since Kyri isn't actually part of the game...so, I'll just roll, and if it's not supposed to be counted, just disregard it, alright? ^^;;; ))

Oh thank Jack she wasn't the only one who didn't know what a video game was!
While the newly named Haze provided ample distraction for the booth stand students to explain to, Winona leaned an ear in as she attempted to handle the odd thing with buttons and sticks of various colors. What was this thing? The device to control the "system" itself, or . . . Oh! To control her character.
She experimented with several of the buttons to figure out what did what and eventually managed to choose Boouigi as her little avatar before the race started. Immediately her palms began to sweat as the countdown flashed.
Jack, this game was fast-paced! But then, what else to expect from a racing game?

Edel smiled at the patchwork boil. "It's my pleasure to meet you too, Moure"
Edel felt considerably more relaxed around the kind boil. It was really nice of him to help her out so patiently. And to think that Father was fretting over her not meeting nice people just moments ago.
Winona, LW and Ren - Edel politely returned the club captain's handshake, nodding. The club captains have begun to greet with the small crowd that had gathered around the booth - which was soon joined by a black dog, Tybalt (his nametag read differently), and a blue haired ghoul, Tsubaki. Commotion ensued, until the gryphon boil started to make an announcement.
It was game on.
Moving over the right, Edel eyed the next of cushions and pillows on the ground and the sets of skelevisions and - were those scarestations? Oh and there were cookies shaped into race cars too. Alas, Edel had no idea how to play but it seemed Moure did. She watched as he flicked the switches on the controls in a careless fashion, being so used to the game. Excitement welled up in her as she watched his Scario Kart hurtle across the track.
SHE WANTED TO PLAY. LIKE BURNING.
Edel observed Moure's deft fingers turn the controls and hit the buttons. She had a vague idea of what to do after watching his demonstration. Settling down on a fluffy white cushion, she picked up a set of scarestation controls and selected a character at random.
3,2,1 GO
Her Kart dashed across the track speedily, with good pace. I suppose that's what they call beginner's luck huh?
