The OOC:
Welcome to the Scario Kart Booth! Your lazy lovely hosts for the day are the epic best friends duo:

Renaissance: GOES BY REN ALL THE TIME, lazy gryphon extraordinaire and closet vegetarian. Can sleep anywhere (almost). Usually found in LW, Gabrian, or Alessa's rooms. Rare sightings have been seen of this creature on the rooftop as well.
Little Wolfe: Aka LW, prank mastermind and dancer. Likes snuggling. Also usually found in Ren, Gabrian, or Alessa's rooms. Has a pet Batling that likes to attach itself to pretty ghouls. Is usually the chip supplier.
This thread will have games sporadically! It is mostly one big ORP, with random games to give out prizes. No begging for pets or anything! We like interaction! We'd love for you to have fun while here!
Also, in case you were wondering: Skario Kart = Mario Kart = a ttly ossm game

THIS IS RHYS. Rhys is a troublemaker. He's also sort of the club mascot. Not really.

The last marker thrown haphazardly onto the table, the last minipet pushed gently into the pile with the others, Ren stepped back from the booth, folding his arms across his chest and surveying his handiwork. From on top of his shoulder, Rhys gave a small snort of disapproval, but Ren ignored him - like always. He really was quite proud of how everything looked, even if it was a little messy. He'd tried to write on the whiteboard as neatly as possible, which was difficult considering the fact that he had to use to his left hand now, instead of his right, and when it had come out looking ridiculously wobbly and shaky, he'd made LW do it instead.
Speaking of which...
"Here," Ren said, scribbling on a nametag and peeling it off, pasting it on the shewolf's forehead playfully. "I made you one."
He grinned cheekily at her, then scrawled a nametag for himself, slapping it onto his chest:

Tahki had been dragged out of her dorm this morning by an over excited pink haired boil whom she still referred to as 'Amritas friend'. He'd spotted some none sense about super fun time and awesome time and some other dribble not minding that Tahki wasn't overly thrilled to be dragged out in to a social situation.
But of course Charlie had run off to do his own thing leaving the white gryphoness alone in an ever steadily growing crowd of new faces. The one thing she hated the most, large groups of people she didn't know. So Tahki, holding her headphones tightly over her ears, tried her best to find her way out of this epidemic of awkward. Her eyes were shut tight and her music was blasting but still it felt as if all eyes were on her as she tried to find a quiet corner to hide in.
That was when she bumped into a ridiculously wobbly and shaky built thing. It was a booth right? Tahki looked it over for a moment. Scariocart? Her eyes wandered down to find a red headed ghoul with a name tag on her forehead whom she'd seen once or twice and Ren.
"O-oh...." She looked at the stand and then at the duo, "Can I hide here for a while?" Her foot tapped the ground shyly and her head hung a little low in a submissive plea for sanctuary.

"Ren...it's fine."
The she-wolf was just standing with her arms crossed, tail swishing from side to side as she eyed the gryphon and the lepus on his shoulder. He was fretting. It looked fine! But of course he had to check it all over, make sure it looked nice. She'd giggled at him (and was probably the only one, Gabrian aside, that could get away with giggling) when he attempted to write on the whiteboard. So she had waited until he finally let her do it, giggling again when Rhys jumped from his shoulder to hers, probably out of embarrassment. He was getting better though! Something she had told him.
"What?' LW eyed him as he scribbled something down on...was that a nametag? She didn't even get to see what was scrawled on it because it went straight onto her forehead. "You better not have put something mean on it." The she-wolf poked him in the chest, where his own nametag now resided. Did she trust that cheeky grin? Nope. Violet eyes glanced at the lepus, who was now back on Ren's shoulder. "Did he put something mean on it? Because if he did, give him a smack."

Ren cocked an ear towards LW, though he was still examining the booth somewhat suspiciously, indicating that he was, in fact, listening to her even with his back half turned in her direction. "I'm not sure," he said, tapping one finger of his bandaged right hand thoughtfully against his cheek.
His eyes moved to the whiteboard. "At least you made that look less like the train wreck it was before," he added, smirking a bit as he swiveled towards the shewolf again, plastering a mock innocent expression on his face. "Excuse me, LW, would I do that to you?" he asked her, looking melodramatically offended at the insinuation. On his shoulder once more, Rhys gave his owner what could only be deemed as a withering stare before his nose twitched, ears flattening back against his head as footsteps approached their booth.
"TAHKI!" Ren shouted, flinging his arms around the ghoul and hugging her tightly. He was always excited to see the gryphonness; she was just like him, after all. Rhys tumbled off of him with an indignant noise, climbing up to lean against LW's leg. "So glad to see you, darling!"
Stepping back, he gently pushed the ghoul towards LW, beaming. "Do you guys know each other?" he asked, gesturing. "If you don't - Tahki, this is my best friend, LW. LW, this is Tahki."

They had a Scario Kart Club Booth. Meaning, they had a Scario Kart Club.
Moure could barely believe it. Sure, he'd seen it on the clubs list when he had sent in his enrollment papers (which apparently they were still having some paperwork problems with...) but it hadn't really hit him that it actually existed.
Now that he knew it did, it was the first spot the racing-loving patchwork had run to. (Literally, he'd run as much as he could without bumping into anyone. Walking at times had been torture...) Now that it was in sight, Moure slowed until he was walking, and then to a momentary stop as he took in the whiteboard and name-tag tables. As he saw the name tags, he wrote his name on one. He grimaced a bit as he noticed how bad his hand-writing was compared to those around him but he put the name tag on anyway, sticking it to his chest over where his "heart" should be.
Looking around, he found there were only three others around. Two gryphons(...?) and what appeared to a were-wolf ghoul. There was a pirate(...?) lepus with them also. Well, anyone who played Scario Kart was pretty awesome in his book. Quickly (but then again, did Moure ever do anything slowly?), the patchwork runner made his way over to where the people had congregated. There, he paused a bit off though. He'd never really been good at introductions, but...

The Library was starting to get a little too crowded for Edel's liking, or at least she thought it was rude to interrupt the hearty conversations going on already. Sighing wistfully, she made her way out of the maze of shelves and dolefully wandered over to the booths, stopping at the nearest one to read the sign.
Scario Kart. Edel had no idea what that was -- like how she didn't know the foggiest about groanspring. Racing and video games do sound fun though. Glancing down at the table beneath the huge whiteboard, she spotted stacks of blank stickers and a pile of ....minipets?
Looks like I'm supposed to fill up one of these stickers ... but just to be sure -
Edel leaned towards the table sideways, facing the other three who seemed to be introducing themselves. Perhaps one of them would be able to tell her what to do.

Moving through the school, Haze glanced about the rooms he passed, curious of what each room held--if anything at all. He was not used to being away from his lovely, damp swamp..this place was too dry for his liking. Maybe he was just home sick? Probably? Definitely.. Finally, he came across booths set up by students. What were they doing? The hell he should know, but they definitely peeked his interest. Looking them over, he cringed at the thought of him doing anything..FEARleader-ish, so that was out of the question. Fitness? Just try to get him to do anything work related was a task itself. Scario Kart? What the hell was a scario kart? These people..were weird. Giving into his curiosity, the swamp dragon made his way towards Ren and the other group of people, scratching at his own chin as if to get rid of a bad itch. "What is this?" He asked, keeping a pleasant smile as he 'greeted' the group.

Moure, still trailing a bit at the edge of the introduction area, heard someone coming toward them and turned to see a pretty, icy-looking demoness. She seemed a bit confused as to waht she was supposed to do with the name tags. Eyebrow raising slightly, Moure automatically took a step back toward table. Slowly coming to a stand next to the table, he said, "Do you need some help?"
She seemed a bit confused, and it was in Moure's instinct to help her. "I'm Moure, by the way..." He said, then realized it was probably a tad redundant since he did have a name tag on.
Moure also noticed that another creature, one with what seemed like a bunch of glow-sticks attached to him and a pair of horns, had shown up. This one asked the most...flabbergasting question. What was Scario Kart? Moure managed to stop himself from looking too baffled, and started to offer a question. "Scario Kart? It's a video game in which you race other players..." He didn't want to steal the thunder from the actual club members, but he thought to at least offer some explanation.

"Be presentable," her father had told her earlier that day. "You will represent the Sombra family. If so much as a smudge is found on that cloak when you return . . ."
Yes. Yes, she knew. Gulp.
The open house was already off to an . . . interesting start with the greeting sight of the aflame'd gnome, which made Winnona tighten her cloak a little closer to her body. Within, her familiar Tenebrae had snuggled up, his shadowy head poking out curiously at what looked to be the best place to find fun since, well, ever.
Everything had gone smoothly enough until she put on that visitor's pass. Perhaps even the hander might have noticed the reaper's dark face grow paler when she noticed her closest friend no longer there.
Perfect. Alone without help or at least an animal of interest to show case . . . Gulp.
Keeping on the fringe for her sake (lest she begin to sweat profusely amongst the crowd), Whinn noticed one of the booths had several objects in a heap - none of which she recognized. Prizes? It was one of the smaller grabbers of interest as far as she was concerned, and better to start off . . . small.
Father wouldn't want to hear about how quickly actual students knew of her agoraphobia, and in such a vivid manner!
Pushing her glasses up timidly, the young reaper approached, glancing between the various occupants: a trio of apparently already befriended students, of whose specific species she couldn't determine at the moment; a patchwork boil of some sort who seemed as quiet as she was, though anxious - as if ready to run at a moment's notice; another horned boil she thought could be a demon, but otherwise Whinn was unsure about; and a third ghoul who was being drawn in as well by the prizes, if nothing else.
Noting that there were name tags out to be filled, she slid the uppermost off and wrote:

She hadn't meant to write so tiny, it was just natural.
Quietly, she raised a hand and wiggled her fingers to the group as her greeting, quite happy her hood was up. The less she knew about the sheer number of students about, the better.
So, this was about video games? She had heard of such a thing . . . Father never allowed her that sort of entertainment, though, and the young reaper frowned a little in nervousness. Well, school was about branching out . . . right?
Jack, she was gonna suck.

“Oh! Uhh-“
Edel hadn’t noticed him before, but a lean patchwork boil who was ahead of her had turned around and offered her some help.
I’m Moure, by the way…
“My name is Edelweiss, Edel for short”
She caught sight of the orange sticker with “Moure” written on it plastered on the boil’s chest. “I see now…” she said, grabbing a marker and writing her name on a fresh sticker carefully.

“..Like this?” she asked cheerily, peeling off the back of the sticker and pasting it in front. She was glad to have met someone kind and friendly.
More people had come to visit the booth – another boil with a pair of horns and luminescent clothing and a shadowy ghoul dressed in dark garb.
Edel overheard Moure’s explanation of what Scario Kart was. Ah, a video game. Edel wondered how much fun she had been missing out on all this while – and how much fun she would have once she entered school.

She sighed at him and rolled her eyes. "It's fine!" This was said for the some-teenth time now. But she was glad to see her best friend working so hard to make it look just right. "Why yes. Yes I did make it look better, didn't I?" LW teased with a bright smile, eyes momentarily lowering to his right hand. She never once said anything about it, just accepting it as part of who the gryphon was.
Her eyes narrowed at his look of innocence. She did not trust that look. "Yes. Yes you would, Ren dear." Rhys heard it before she did, the sound of feet. Glancing over her shoulder, LW spotted a ghoul. She was familiar but LW couldn't think of her name. Thankfully, Ren supplied it. Oh! Tahki. She was the other gryphon around here. The she-wolf smiled, looking down when she felt something leaning against her leg. Poor Rhys. Or maybe poor Ren. Rhys was going to get him back later. For sure. The she-wolf bent down and picked the lepus up, holding him lightly in her arms and scratching behind his ear. "Awe, you know I love you Rhys."
Looking back up, LW smiled at the gryphoness. "Not formally. Probably been in a couple classes together." The she-wolf held out her hand to shake Tahki's should she choose. "You should hang around. We're a laid back bunch." Still smiling, her nose wrinkled as more footsteps were heard. LW stood next to her best friend and watched as a...was he a patchwork? He looked a little lost. The name on the tag read Moure. Well, LW wasn't shy in the least! And that nametag of hers was not staying on her forehead for much longer. It itched.
"Hi there! I'm LW. Glad to see ya giving our booth a check. Scario Kart is a fantastic game and we're an awesome club." Her tail swished happily as she bumped the gryphon. "This is my partner in crime, Ren." She gestured towards the boil, maybe poking at his side just a little. Her gaze was drawn towards another new person. A ghoul, this time. "Welcome!" LW said cheerfully, speaking to the ghoul near the table. "Please feel free to fill out a nametag and ask us any questions! My name's LW."
There were even more people showing up and the she-wolf couldn't help the pleasure she felt. It was nice seeing this much interest! "See? You did a fine job at setting up the booth." She whispered to Ren before turning to greet the newest bunch. "Welcome all! I'm LW and this is Ren! If you have any questions," her grin turned devious as she let her gaze slide sideways. "Just ask the gryphon here!" Of course she would answer questions too! LW just had to play around with her best friend when she could.

Oh, so they had to announce their names too after finishing the name tags? Whinn didn't know how things like this worked, so best to follow the crowd, yes?"U-Um . . . Winona," she mumbled after Moure and this Edelweiss, putting her hand down. Incidentally, she noticed her name was spelled wrong and, with a small squeak, rectified it with a strangely quick motion with the marker.

But then - Jack! Jack Jack Jack, but then people would read her name with an X! So she had to scratch it all out with another small whine, revealing her momentary brain fart to all.

Great start, Whinn. Great start.
Best to deviate away from the glaring stupidity, as Whinn was sure it was. She even tried a little bit louder in speaking. "So . . . u-um. How do you p-play?" Her speech seemed off, as if she had not learned how fully to form her lips around the words, and her eyes were diverted to "Ren" and "LW"'s collective feet.
