Soquili in search of a relative: Andarta
Relation (mother, father, brother, sister, etc): Brother, sister, or cousin.
Race (first choice): Ceryenei
Race (2nd choice, must be mini, common or uncommon): unicorn
What does your soquili leave as an offering for the wishing star?
Andarta parts with her family crest that was tucked into her plaid along some of her plaided scarf.

Short IC Response: What does you soquili ask/tell the wishing star when he or she comes to ask to find their relative?

Andarta had been lonely for many months now. Her family had left her many years ago, and she had been traveling alone for so long that even talking to little animals couldn't fill the void in her lonely heart any longer. Dark was upon the land soon and she had to find shelter to rest before it got to dark to see where she was going. Finally sighting a perfect place to sleep she noted the stars were coming out in the sky and the moon was shining above. A faint flickering caught the corner of her eye and she gasped in wonder. Multiple shooting stars streaked across the sky and she quickly thought of a phrase her mother taught her when she was but a foal. " Starlight, starbright, first star I see tonight.. I wish I may I wish I might... have the wish I wish tonight." She spoke outloud quietly before finishing the rest in her thoughts, as she dare not speak it outloud for fear it not coming true. 'Och, please 'ere me plea! I've been lonely fer far too long. I want me family to ease the aching void in meh... help meh find them and brin' them bac' to meh.'

lol i just realized sya used the same wish pattern XD; 'starlight, starbright..' oops.

Soquili in search of a relative: Kanani
Relation (mother, father, brother, sister, etc): Father
Race (first choice): Cerynei
Race (2nd choice, must be mini, common or uncommon): Regular
What does your soquili leave as an offering for the wishing star? I do not have much to offer in terms of physical items. My most precious possession is my family, but I cannot offer such a thing to you. However, this wish requires something of importance, so, my star, I offer you this: The love that I once felt for my parents. The love that I now hold for my blessed family. And the love that I've been shown throughout the ages as I journeyed across the lands towards my destiny.
Short IC Response: Kanani sighed, her eyes searching beyond the small hillock where she stood, gazing at the clear fields before her. It had been years since she had come here, and she didn't regret her travels. She had found love and had founded a family, as well as given her wisdom and compassion to others in their wayward searches. But still... she could not help but think of the last moment she'd seen her parents, back in the Cerynei lands. The fires had spread so quickly, and they had been fleeing from their wrath... the flames had surrounded them... Her mother had ran into the burning forest... her father had followed, desperately trying to save her. She had wanted to follow them, but the Prince had saved her life, leading her to safety. What had become of them, she wondered? Surely her mother had perished, for she had been half-crazed with fear. But her father... surely he would have survived? He had been a leader after all... but why didn't he come back?

"Dear star," she whispered, her kind eyes glancing up at the heavens, "Please, if there is any hope, any at all--let my father be alive. Let him be searching for me, just as I search for him. Please, great star... bring him back to me."

And with that, she closed her eyes, a single tear drifting down her cheek.

My True Love
Soquili looking for love Xaivary (link to her post in my plots, cert is there and background info if you're interested)
Gender Preference: Male
Archetype: The Dashing Rogue
Acceptable Races (at least one common/uncommon or mini): Any land-walking full sized Soq breed or crossbreed is acceptable!
NOT Acceptable Races: mini breeds and mers
What does your soquili leave as an offering for the wishing star? A piece of cork and twine; a "treasure" from her first adventure with her first, and best, friend. It doesn't look like much but it's a rather important keepsake for her.
Short IC Response:

What do you give a star? Xai wasn't sure there was anything a star even wanted, really. It was probably more the idea of how much effort, thought, or personal value you were willing to give to get what you wanted. She hoped the star lived up to the legends... even if her wish wasn't one granted. She would just hate to lose something like this and find out it had just been some sort of con. Setting her peculiar trinket down on the altar amongst however many others she peered up at the beacon above. "So... I'm not sure how to ask this? Or if I'm even sure what I'm asking for, I guess. But it'd be nice to have... someone around. He'd take me for me and we could get in trouble and out of trouble and it could be... something special? I... well I won't ask you for a fairytale, or anything, but it would... be nice to be loved for once, I guess. Anyway, I'm sure you're busy sorting through like five thousand wishes so I'll stop bothering you now." She gave a little bow and backed away, giving one more glance upward before walking off.

I long for that companionship I've seen with other Kiwani in my travels. Perhaps Someday one might find me interesting enough to travel with...

What does your persona or your soquili leave as an offering for the wishing star?

Brielle: She sighs as she looks up at the beautiful night sky with bright green eyes, her fingers gently running over a pendant around her neck. It's a simple leather strap, with an emerald colored stone at the center, and two white feathers on each side followed by many colored beads. The emerald stone hides an engraving on it's back, two words in her native language that her finger feels as it traces over them; Love & Freedom.
Gently she pulls the strap over her head, her eye's close as tears fill them, and timid hands rest it on the soft grass where she kneels. "This is my gift. the one thing I have left of my home, a heirlume my mother's mother passed down to me. May you enjoy it as I have." She bows her head revrently to hide the hopeful look she holds in them, her mind praying over and over again. 'Let my wish be granted, let me find a kindred soul at last...'

(I'm new... so uhm... hope I did this alright? <3)

Soquili in search of a relative: Laures
Relation (mother, father, brother, sister, etc): daughter, presumed dead (though her body was never found), from his first ever relationship- prior to ending up in the kawani lands
Race (first choice): flutter or flutter-cross
Race (2nd choice, must be mini, common or uncommon): any non-kelpie, or non-kalona
What does your soquili leave as an offering for the wishing star? his most prized possession- from his last cave adventure- a shiny rock reminiscent of moonlight. To him a symbol of great adversity and what he had strived to overcome.
Short IC Response: What does you soquili ask/tell the wishing star when he or she comes to ask to find their relative?
There were stories he’d heard from his foalhood, of the phenomenon of the wishing star. And though he had finally reached a place of contentment in his life- he was completely healthy (for which he thanked the goddess daily) and he was in a relationship that had started to heal the emotional and spiritual wounds he had borne from the time he stumbled out of his basket. He had found his heart or so he believed. He was one of the most fortunate of beings, he knew this, but he couldn’t help but leave an offering and voice the deepest wish in his heart.

“I know I am blessed with so much, and I have no right to ask you for anything, but…” Laures’ voice trailed off as a tear formed in his eye. “Why did it have to come at the cost of so much?”

He considered the tragedy that had taken the lives of his first family. Tezza, he knew would have wanted him to move on and be happy, and he was. He could think of her now, fondly and without pain. He had loved her, but more as a friend than anything.

What hurt more than anything though, was the bloodstained baskets, and the ground that surrounded them. Grim testament to the fact that his children were gone. Innocent foals whom had no chance to have life. They had been taken from him before he had the chance to know them.

“If I could just have one wish…” his voice was soft as he forced it around the lump in his throat. “If somehow, someway… perhaps one of them had survived. I would like the chance to know my child. I want the chance… If only I could make it right.”

He held his breath. Offering up this wish with all the hope he could muster in his heart. Then he laughed at himself. Here he was an adult, still hoping on the wishes and hopes of a child who once believed in magic. He was the worthless, useless being he had always been called.

“If there is anyone there and listening. Please. Just give her a chance at life. Let my daughter find me.”

The tear fell unnoticed down his cheek.

Soquili in search of a relative: Nori
Relation (mother, father, brother, sister, etc): Sister
Race (first choice): Regular
Race (2nd choice, must be mini, common or uncommon): Unicorn
What does your soquili leave as an offering for the wishing star? A pendant blessed by an angelic soquili herd.
Short IC Response: What does you soquili ask/tell the wishing star when he or she comes to ask to find their relative? Nori looked up to the star, if the rumours he had heard were true then perhaps he could put faith in something before all hope was lost. "Star, I have come to ask you a favor. My mother's path of revenge had caused pain and suffering to all of the pack members however I heard she gave up a child, when she lived as a lone wolf because there wasn't a sense of evil within it. If you could guide my sibling to me, then maybe a voice of reason can change the circumstances and I will not have to betray my dearest pack-brother..."

Soquili in search of a relative: Yunai
Relation: Mother (Reincarnate)
Race (First choice): Cerynei/Kirin crossbreed.
Race (2nd choice, must be mini, common or uncommon): Cerynei/uni crossbreed.
What does your soquili leave as an offering for the wishing star? A withered flower.

Short IC Response: What does you soquili ask/tell the wishing star when he or she comes to ask to find their relative?
Yunai stepped upto the top of the hill, her light pink eyes gazing up at the stars above her. A small basket laid next to her hooves, the foal inside silently sleeping. A rare frown pulled at the mares lips as she gazed out at the peaceful sky. She was so unsure what to do. "I've never known what it's like to have a mother," Yunai spoke, her eyes glancing down at the basket. "Father said that she died when I was born." A tear slipped from the mare's eye, a sad feeling tugging at her heart. "How am I supposed to raise this child without having the guidence of a mother?" Yunai asked, more aware of the emptyness around her. "Father once told me of reincatation. It gives me hope that maybe, she's out there. Maybe she's looking for me too?" A small smile tugged at Yunai's lips before she tugged a small withered lily out of her tail. "It once belonged to her,"

Soquili in search of a relative: Windflame Bloodrider
Relation (mother, father, brother, sister, etc): Twin Brother
Race (first choice): Kalona
Race (2nd choice, must be mini, common or uncommon): Wind, Unicorn, or a combination of those two.
What does your soquili leave as an offering for the wishing star? He leaves a length of his hair, his black choker, and a fallen couple of fangs, as well as the fresh blood of two non-cerynei young deer.
Windflame: ...Finding my long-lost brother of blood would be of great importance. He is my blood, and therefore, my kin, and that is all I can offer from this black heart.
Short IC Response: What does you soquili ask/tell the wishing star when he or she comes to ask to find their relative?
He stepped out into the crisp, fresh air of the late night, and as he glanced up to assess the skies, he saw a bright trail of light. His scarlet eyes glowed from the light, and the shooting star made him pause in deep memory. He returned to the olden days when he and his twin brother played pranks upon their elders, and although he himself had gone astray as they become older, his brother was always praised for his cunning and genius for those pranks. His brother was crueler than he, for his brother enjoyed tormenting those beneath their kind, and yet, Windflame had held a strange closely tied bond. Without meaning to, he had impressed his deepest, most secret wish upon bright light that was that star he still watched, and he felt the strangest sense of peace.

A Nemesis
Soquili That Needs a Rival: Douglas Grifon
Gender Preference: Female
What does your soquili leave as an offering for the wishing star? The Blood of another Soquili.
Short IC Response: In the distance come the agonized whinnys of a stallion. At first glance it seems an almost normal dappled stallion. But there is something odd. The horse seems to have bunny ears, weird back hooves and an ax? Moving in closer, the night time air and faint smell of blood hits your nostrils and you realize that those are not dapples but spots of caked blood in the stallions fur and he is dressed in a bunny suit?!.
The stallion starts twisting and turning crazily his eyes dart back and forth and little frantic. Fresh blood is dripping off his ax and from his face. He doesn't seem to notice you. Stomping his hooves on the ground he says,
"Another easy kill. The same, stupid land! The blood just doesn't taste as good anymore."
Douglas looks around as if he is searching for something. "I need MORE!," He yells as he raises his front hooves towards the stars. There seems to be a particularly bright star in the sky that catches his eye. He yells toward it, "Someone to challenge me and rise my spirits from the dead. Fuel Revenge!! Come Spirits!!! Let me see what you have! Let me Fight again with passion! I drop my ax to you and let the blood run. Taste it. Smell it. Give Me More!" At this the stallion seems to suddenly calm down as if waiting for something.

A True Friend
Who is Wishing? (a Soquili or Kiwani persona) : My Soquili, Deanneth.
Tell the wishing star a little about yourself: I’m going with an IC response for this. ^^
Quote:
Dean shuffled his hooves nervously for about the twentieth time that night. He’d been standing there in the meadow beneath the starlit sky for a couple hours already. He nibbled at the grass occasionally, but mostly he paced. He feared he was being silly; could stars really grant wishes? If they could, was he being selfish if he wished for what he wanted? If his wish was granted, would another, more deserving Soquili’s wish be overlooked? The thought gnawed at his belly...

Finally, the young stallion just went for it. He raised his big, painted head and spoke, “H-hello Wishing Star.” He immediately blushed, feeling foolish for talking to a star like he was having a normal conversation, but he continued, “I know you must get a lot of wishes, being the wishing star and all… but I have another one. I-If you’ve got the time… I would…” His plum colored ears flickered back and forth in uncertainty, fearing his own selfishness, “I would like a friend, please.” There, it was out. Deanneth was a supportive young stallion who was friends with many, but really known by very few. Even with his large circle of acquaintances, he had no true best friends. What he wanted more than anything in the world was a true friend, a partner in crime, someone to adventure with and to share his greatest secrets with. Someone he could be a great friend to in return.

It felt as though a weight had been taken from his chest and Dean found himself smiling up at the stars. “Thank you.” He whispered.

10 Things I Like:
- Oak trees
- Rain/Storms
- Purples, blues and greens
- Spirals and triskelions
- The night sky (stars, moon, auroras, etc.)
- Long, windswept hairstyles
- Shiny or glowing things *o*
- Mist/shadows
- Vines
- Skulls (they're always smiling! XD *shot* )
10 Things I Don’t Like:
- Mers, seathi (Dean isn’t a water Soq)
- Minis (I like them, but I don’t want one for Dean’s bff… ^^; )
- Baldness
Honestly, there’s not a lot I don’t like. Feel free to get creative!
What does your persona or your soquili leave as an offering for the wishing star?
Quote:
After making his wish, Dean watched the stars above for a few serene moments before tugging at the small, makeshift satchel at his side. He had no idea what stars liked, but he thought that it must be very empty and dark up in the sky, so perhaps stars might like something pretty to look at. His small satchel was full of flower seeds and he spent the next couple hours spreading them with a tender hoof across the hillside. In the coming days, the rains would make the flowers grow and hopefully the Wishing Star would be pleased. If not… well then, other passers-by to the meadow would have pretty flowers to look at.

A True Friend
Who is Wishing? Soquili, Ishika
Tell the wishing star a little about yourself: I am a gentle and kind hearted mare. I think of the well being of others before myself, and I do not hesitate to help any who ask for it. Regardless of how they live their lives, I believe all creatures deserve a gesture of kindness.
10 Things I Like: Glowing, Moonlight, Rain, Gemstones, Starlight, Shooting Stars, Blowing Wind, The Wishing Star, Butterflies, Birds
10 Things I Don’t Like: Gore, Bone, Orange, Yellow, Death, Blood, Monotones
What does your persona or your soquili leave as an offering for the wishing star? Ishika was very familiar with the stories of the stars. She always loved to gaze at them, often with a deep longing feeling pulling within her chest. As she watched the wishing star making it's presence known, Ishika felt a shy childish urge rising within her. Quietly she crept away from her family herd and followed the star with her eyes. Wandering through the tree's, she found herself led to a glade filled with glowing moonflowers. Little fireflies danced across the tall grasses in the moonlight bathed glade. It was a perfect setting with the wishing star sparkling along the horizon. Ishika carefully picked her way across the glade, pausing only to pick some of the flowers with little fireflies glowing upon it's petals. She paused at a small pond in the center of the glade and knelt down by it's edge. In the reflection of the water, she could clearly see the wishing star and the night sky glimmering within. Ishika scattered the moonflowers across the surface of the water in offering, then peered up at the Star hopefully. Her tail swished behind her as she sat and stared at the sky above, lovingly admiring the beauty of the star itself.

Soquili in search of a relative: Adina
Relation (mother, father, brother, sister, etc): Sister or half sister depending on race
Race (first choice): Regular
Race (2nd choice, must be mini, common or uncommon): Regular crossbreed (either wind, cerynei, or kirin)
What does your soquili leave as an offering for the wishing star? Without the ownership of a satchel or some other carrying utensil, I find life without the burden of earthly possessions quite liberating. The only object I have I wear around my neck, a gift from my parents when I was still within that hot whicker. It’s been with me these years, a part of me, and while I never attached some strong sentimental story to it like so many have to personal objects, I can’t deny looking at the blue crystal reminds me of my childhood. I will offer you this, star, and something that is not just a part of me or my heritage, but something uniquely mine. With it I’ll tie a single flower. It seems silly I know, Javan has told me on many occasions I should focus my keen eye on something more complicated, but I cannot help but be fascinated by the simplicity the flower holds. Within each tiny petal is life, and within that is life we can only fathom, a never ending cycle. A beautiful inception.
Short IC Response: What does you soquili ask/tell the wishing star when he or she comes to ask to find their relative?
'I…I am skeptical.' Adina stood, his lean head bowed low, neck craning forward as he callously observed the tiny magenta petals of a simple wildflower. It had to be picked. But must it? He felt odd for gently ripping the flower away from its brothers and sisters, like he was destroying not only what the tiny plant had, but any future it could have had in its little colony. It was one of many. But did that make it any less important? He knew logically he wasn’t hurting the plant, and taking one little flower from its many would not obstruct the plants lifecycle. The stallion didn't feel any less guilty. What else could he have chosen? What would be a part of him that he could offer that wasn't so iconic if not his love for these flowers?
Tying the stem with his teeth between the wires of his necklace, he lifted the jewelry off the ground and carefully held it between his jaws. A flower and his family’s necklace. This was nothing of a trade, but maybe something of a bribe. Would a star take bribes? It was Adina's personal belief that there was no such thing as a value system. Not one Soquili was more important than another, no one less important, and no species was grander than another. The flower quilted him so because he had ended something, not something that had an immeasurable value, but something that had every right to exist the same as he. A necklace wasn't a worthy trade for his family.
'I am skeptical, but if you can reconnect me with my family, if there is something mystical going on here, isn't it worth the try?' He had never been close to his family, not his mother, father, or his sisters. Even his son only held a sparse relationship with him. Most days Adina was fine with this, a loner by nature, but there were times he observed distant families and wondered if there was something he was lacking. He didn't understand what it was, but he did know he wanted to try and understand, to try and crack this odd mystery. His chance of gaining not only an understanding of family function, but a true relationship with his family had arisen and if it was possible, Adina wouldn't miss this chance.
'Please star, I don't believe, but I'm willing to try. Give me a chance with my family. Help me to understand them, to reconnect. Help me to grow stronger with my daughter and son. Give me the chance.'

NEW RULE

From this point on, If you are making a "long lost family member" wish - the soquili making the wish must be 1st generation.

Otherwise, it implies a breeding of one of the parents or other relatives that may be owned by someone else and might interfere with their histories/backstories of their soquili and I do not want to potentially interfere with someone's existing involved family.

Even if this isn't the case with your soquili (ie, you own both of the parents), I'd like this event to be drama-free as possible and just want to keep things as simple as possible and not need to worry about extra permissions or exceptions.
