Clover smerked and ran agenst him but he still got out ahead of her but she did have the extra wate of the art kit. So the fact they where both breathing hard when they got to the Great Hall wasn't to big of a serprize.
"Yeah and not wayed down by the extra wate. Though Quidige is the big sport in the wizarding world." She said as they went into the Great Hall. "Thanks." she said to him for holding the door.
She looked at the four long tables that streched the langth of the Great Hall up to the slightly shorter teacher's table that's langht went along the width of the Great Hall. "To bad we can't sit at what table we want to, unless it's Holoday." she said rolling her eyes.

Dorian grinned, "Yeah, I guess I did have a slight advantage over you. It seems sad that they don't have any footraces here, you'd think that it would be quite handy to be able to run without getting out of breath." He added shaking his head.
It seemed like the sports that Hogwarts promoted were ones that didn't really cause people to exert themselves too much. Probably because the founders were up and tight and didn't like sweating.
"Your welcome," Dorian replied with a smile.
Dorian's gaze swept across the room and saw that several of the older students at the Slytherin table were glaring at him. Great..now they'd be putting him through hell for coming in with Clover. Why did it matter who they spent time with? Dorian hated his House's perchance to elitism and always putting everyone else down fr being in a "lesser" house.
"yeah, you said it." Dorian muttered. "We could just grab something and get out of here if you want. I really don't want to sit at my table right now."

Clover shruged "Dosn't mean we can't just have a race of our own, maybe we could even start up a new club." she said in a sarcatic manner.
Clover looked back at the Slytherins that where glaring their dreaction. She scoffed and shook her head and looked like she wanted them to chalinge her and ajusted her kit's strap. "They're set in their ways. Dumb if you ask me." she wanted to go over and screem that her Gandma was a muggle but knew that was probly a bad idea. "At least I'm not a Gryffindor, the glaring would be ten times worce." she chuckled.
She nodded "Yeah, people should be free to make their own choses, and that includes who they are friends with." she said going over and grabbing some hand foods from the Hufflepuff Table.

Dorian didn't know why Sheacka was being sarcastic..perhaps racing wasn't something she liked doing? Dorian shrugged and left it alone.
Dorian ignored the Slytherin table and grabbed some food off of the table closest, stashing it in his pockets. Dried fruit, bread, an apple, and some cheese which he wrapped up in a napkin.
"It seems like everyone is set in their ways in this place. I guess we'll just have to blaze a new trail and not let them limit us." he said shooting her a small smile.
"Exactly. I don't see the point in judging people on what House they're in. It's not like every Gryffindor is good at sports, or every Slytherin is evil." He said as he grabbed a container of pumpkin juice off the table. "I think I have enough, let's go find some place to sit while we eat."

Clover nodded. "Being like everyone elces is rather idodic." she said seeing he had some pumkin juice grabed a cuple of goblets and set out after him.
"Though I gess it's probbly a good thing that the houses can't find each other. I can just emagain the prankings that would happen if they knew where the other was or knew the passwords to get in." she said chuckling going over to a window ledge "Though I gess it would probbly be more creative then the ones Uncle Mac told me to look out for."
She used her arms to pull herself up to the Ledge and sat down. After she set her bag down agenst the wall. She then started to set what she got out on a napkin, again mostly all hand foods that didin't matter where they had gotten them. "It would be kind of cool if they did let us do diffrent sports, like a race." she was sarcatic about them starting a new club since she figured most just didn't care about racing.

"So true." Dorian replied and held the door open for her since she had her hands full. "Who would want to be a cookie cutter copy of another person? That would be horrible. It would be like living in a horror movie." He said making a face. "I don't know about you, but horror movies creep me out."
Dorian could barely keep a straight face as she talked about pranks. he wondered what she would say if he told her that he had given a girl a face full of pimples. It hadn't been meant as a prank, but Dorian had heard that the girl he had put the spell on hadn't been able to get them off. And that her pimples had turned a bright purple when she had tried to get rid of them. She had walked around with a sour mood all month long while they slowly disappeared.
"that would be horrible. I can imagine my roommate Quill would have a field day with pranking everyone in the Gryffindoor House. He has something against them for some reason." he said as he took a seat on the window sill across from her and set the pumpkin juice down in between them.
"Nice collection," Dorian said as he emptied his own pockets contents down. "Want to share? Looks like you got some better stuff than I did."
"It would be pretty fun. Maybe we could ask a teacher if we could set something up. They might let us set up a race if there's some chaperon watching." he suggested.

Clover scoffed and shook her head, "I've seen a few of them but only because I've had to. I prefer older ones in black and white to the modern ones, that just seem to be a new death around every corner." she said honsitly. "Though I gess that is diffrent back when theader was a new consept."
She nodded "I haven't met him so I gess that would be a dood point. I wish I could tell Uncle Mac that the kind of pranks here, aren't ones that he would know about. He and Emma and Mr. Gaffle all think I'm at a Bording School, on a Scollorship. So Tp or an egging would be lame to what magic can do." she said chuckling though it did hurt a little that the closest people she knew, couldn't know where she really was at.
When he asked if he wanted to share she had a big smile. "Yeah, It would be mean of me to eat it all in front of you, not that I think I could." she added with a chuckle at it.
Clover shurged this time. "Well it's worth a try if nothing elce. 'Tired or Quiddige and Dulling then join ....' Ok so I'm not the best at sloggains or name making." she said shaking her head. Taking up a peace of bread.

Dorian nodded. "At least the black and white ones weren't full of senseless violence and blood." he said with a shudder. "I don't really care for where it's headed. I wouldn't mind if I never saw another film in my life. there are better things to do with one's time."
Dorian snorted thinking about Quill. It would be too soon the next time he had to deal with him. "You definitely don't want to hang around Quill, he's the most unlucky person in the universe. He's always having bad things happen to him. I don't think it's possible for him to go more than a few minutes without having something unpleasant happen to him or someone around him. So..you have family that's not magical?" Dorian asked a bit surprised to learn that about Clover. "Yeah..it would be hard to explain to a someone who didn't understand magic how one could give someone a face full of pimples." He said with a snort.
Dorian smiled at Clover and poured out some pumpkin juice for her. "And to think I had never had this before I came here. I can't live without it now." he commented as he ate some of the candies and fruit together in one bite.
He swallowed his mouthful and took a long drink of the juice before replying. "Yes..we should try. That's not bad. Though, what if we were to say, "Tired of being late to class? Tired of being punched on? Join our Foot racing club! You'll get wings on your feet!"

Clover chuckled "I'll agree to that remark. The life outside is far better then one watching films." she said in agreement. "But They do come in handy when you have a rainy day and a bunch of people over." she said remebering a few sleep-overs.
Clover rased an eye brow hearing about Quill's bad luck. "Huh, sounds like he lives an itresting life." she said then when chuckled "Who did that? A face full of magic pimples... I remeber that girl with purple pimples a wile back, I thought she was just trying a new look or something." she chuckled.
"Well the only one in my faimly who's a muggle is my Grandma and my mum's side. But I spind so much time on Grandma and Grand-da's farm that Mr. Gaffle and Mr. McQuen or Uncle Mac as I sometimes call him and his daughter Emma all feel like family members to me." She said smiling a bit "But yeah the three of them are Muggles. Though I don't like to be around Mr. Gaffle because he always seems to be grumpy. He is a hard worker and a good farmhand, and honist."
Clover chuckled at the idea "It's always best to have a fresh fruit and vegtables for juices, but yeah it's good juice. She saw she had grabe a box of buttie bots. "eth. I didn't even reslied I grabed them, I'll take muggle Jellys any day to them." she said shaking her head basicly saying he could have them if he wanted them.
She chuckled "Now that's a funny Hermes refince." she said "But don't know if that would slogen at least it would get the word out." she then chuckled again as she pealed into an oringe.

"Life outside of movies is always better, especially the movies that are about zombies." he said with a shudder. "I wonder if any wizard or witch has ever made a zombie before. Not really a pleasant thought."
Dorian got a thoughtful look on his face as he munched on some cheese and bread. "That's true. I usually read books when it's raining though. I find books are much more entertaining than movies. It makes you use your imagination more." Dorian remarked.
Dorian went a little red in the face, and looked down feeling a bit guilty. "Well to be honest, it was me. She and her boyfriend attacked Quill and I and that was the only spell I knew. It did it's trick though. She ran screaming from the room after she felt her face start popping out in pimples. It helped Quill and I to get away from her. It's her fault they went purple though. She tried the wrong removing spell on them. It's a spell my grandmere taught me, why I have no idea." He told her in a low tone, so no one could over hear them.
"I bet you'd love to meet Quill then. I'll have to introduce you two one of these days." Dorian offered.
"Ah, sounds like you have fun there. I suppose there are chores that you're required to do on the farm? What sort of things do you have to do?" He asked curiously,
Dorian wrinkled his nose at the sight of the Botte's beans and picked it up and shoved it in his pocket. "I don't really care for them either. Though I think Quill does. I'll give them to him." He said with a small smile. "He eats pretty much anything I give him." He added with a laugh.
"I miss the Starburst candies that I got in Louisiana on halloween. Those were the best." he confided and downed the last of his juice.
he was glad that his slogan made her laugh. he grinned at her. "that was sort of the idea. Maybe something not so elaborate? Like..Hermes Wings or something? Then the bullies and jerks wouldn't find out about it. I can see them coming just so they could chase us around and beat on us. I really wish the teachers would do more about them." Dorian said with a sigh.
"Well...looks like it's getting dark. We should probably go to our House rooms soon. We don't want to get caught out after hours. I hear detention isn't very fun."

Clover shruged. "Don't know, Zomibe's are sapost to be slow... so.. eh. A book is defintly good if your alone. Or drawing... if something comes to mind." she said in agree ment.
Her eyes went big in shock. "Well that seems out of charcter a bit but sounds like it was afective." she chuckled completly aggreeing to it. "Not many girls in the school I've met... not that many boys eather for that matter." she chuckled again
"Yeah I like being out on the farm, It's not that diffrent from Herbology, Planting, weeding, harvesting, the only diffinces is there's also a bunch of sheep, to look after, and the plants don't atack you. We also have a few chickens pigs and cows but they arn't as hard to keep track of." she exsplained.
"Starburst... yeah I've had them once too they are pritty good." she said thinking and shrugging it off. "It was a wile a go though." she said and then drank her juice off.
She thought about it. "Well if they did try to beat anyone, they would have to go though mee first.... then again you don't bring a knife to a gun fite. I still wouldn't sit by idle about it. Bullies do things when teachers arn't looking that's why they don't get into trubble." she said looking around grabbing some chocolet frogs and putting them in her pockets. "Hermes Wings might be a good club name. Though I haven't heard of spell that actuly gives people's feet wings." she said chuckling at that last part.
She looked out the window then at the others in the hall as they walked and went back to talking wiel Dorian. "Yeah looks like it. So I gess we'll meet up tomarrow then?... she asked getting down off the ledge. "I think Hufflepuff has a class with Slythern... but I could be rong." she said shrugging. "Eh... I'll give that Arona girl the beifit of the dout, for leaving, for now.... that dosn't meen I forgive her for indagering thouse eggs though." she said dusing off the back of her skert.

"Drawing can be fun, though I'm terrible at it. You'll have to show me some of your pictures sometime." Dorian said, motioning to her art case. "I imagine you draw a lot." he said with a smile.
Dorian was glad that someone thought it was out of character for doing such a spell. Quill had thought it had been brilliant and often crowed over it as though his influence on Dorian was a good thing. Dorian was still rather ashamed that he had used a spell on a student. He knew that if a teacher found out he'd probably get in big trouble.
He could tell that while Clover was shocked, she wasn't about to tell anyone about his part in the whole ordeal. Which was a relief.
"Well, I don't normally do such things. There wasn't anything else I could think of. I had to help my friend, even though he seems to get me into trouble all the time." Dorian admitted. "Well..if you need friends, I'd be happy to be one. You're a really cool girl." Dorian heard himself say.
He ducked his head suddenly, feeling his cheeks heat up. He was a bit surprised that he had told her that. She was the first girl he had ever gotten the courage to tell her such a thing. He hoped she didn't take it the wrong way.
"I mean, what with your family life and your liking wildlife and planting stuff you're really different and unique. I'd like to have a friend like you. I'll be getting a starburst stash coming in the mail in a few days. I'd be happy to share with you."
The more Clover chattered, the more Dorian felt himself like her. She was strong, determined and definitely driven, kind of like him. He felt they were a lot more alike than he had first thought.
"So I've noticed." Dorian said brushing his hair back out of his eyes. "It would be pretty cool if there was a spell like that. Or perhaps a spell to put wings on shoes. If I remember right, Hermes had sandals with wings on them."
Dorian finished off the last few bites of their food, and then brushed off his clothes to get rid of the crumbs. "Yes, tomorrow." Dorian agreed, and followed her down. He stood around feeling a bit awkward. "I believe we're in Arithmancy together. At least I recall seeing you now. As for Arona, I don't fully agree but we can let her worry her head that we will do something and leave it as it is. Sometimes..just the thought of someone getting revenge on you is good enough."
Dorian grinned a bit at that thought and turned and held his hand out to Clover. "Despite the way we met, this was a great day. I had fun talking with you and getting to know you better. I look forward to meeting tomorrow."

Clover chuckled and nodded "Yeah but most of the pictures I have are in old sketch books back home there aren't that many in the two books I have here at the school yet." she admitted.
"Sometimes it's what makes the difference in the split second of thinking." she agreed basically saying if it was all he could do at the moment not to be to ashamed of himself.
She was glad that he offered to be her friend and then found it a little amusing that he got embarrassed for calling her cool and tried to play it off that he wasn't fluttering. She knew he wasn't but still found it kinda cute. "I'd like that, Dorian. A good friend is what we all need right?" she said with a smile.
Clover nodded "Yeah winged Sandals. Oh Maybe we couldn't find a spell like that but we could always paint wings on our shoes. And it would be like who was in the 'club' but that's just a random idea." she said chuckling at the idea.
Clover thought about it and giggled. "That will work as revenge then." she said amused "Arthmancy yeah I think so." She then took his hand and shook it, her grip was strong because of yard work and lifting fertilizer and feed. "Yeah It's been fun. Definitively could have done without you falling on me but it was still fun." she said and pulled him into a hug, because that was the way she was. "See ya tomorrow," she said and went off to the Hufflepuff common room

"Oh, well then I guess I'll just have to wait for you to fill those up then." Dorian replied, a little sad to hear she had left most of her drawings at home.
Dorian thought about her words, and realized she was correct. If he hadn't acted when he had who knew what those Gryffindors would have done to Quill. "Yeah, I guess I'll just have to learn more spells that aren't so..mean." He said with a small grin. "though personally I think she did deserve it. She and her boyfriend were ganging up on two younger students with all sorts of spells at their fingertips."
Dorian was grateful that She didn't comment or say anything about his red face and his trying to hide yt from her. "I'm glad.." Dorian mustered with a returned smile. "Yes, especially in a school like this." He added. "The only people you can trust to help you are your friends."
"I bet I could find a spell that would let people "enchant" wings on their shoes. I'd just have to look for it in the right place. If I can't, we'll use the paint idea. I can think of a few other kids who might join if we do start this club." Dorian replied.
Dorian was glad his idea about Arona's punishment amused her. Plus..it wouldn't require them to really do anything. Though.. a few whispered plots here and there that other kids might pass along to her might help as well. Dorian grinned at the thought. "Oh yes, so it shall."
Dorian wasn't too surprised by her strong grip, and held back a wince of pain from it. He was definitely going to have to start working on his strength, otherwise she'd be crushing his hand. That would be no fun. "Yeah, thanks for breaking my fall. You make a great cushion." Dorian told her with a short laugh.
Dorian's laugh puttered off when she pulled him into a hug. He stood there stiffly, rather surprised that she had hugged him. "Uh, yeah see you tomorrow." Dorian muttered and ran his hand through his hair.
He stood there a bit overwhelmed and shocked staring after her trying to figure her out. Where had that hug come from? And why had she hugged him? Still scratching his head, Dorian walked off slowly back to the Slytherin common room.
