"Oh? And why not?" the slender man asked, reflecting her amusement on the subject of insanity. "Have you experienced it before?"
Laughing at Faleen's response to his answer, Izaya spread out his arms dramatically. "Naturally. No one loves humans more than I. And while you're right about that impression of yours, any little hint or lead never hurts," he assured her. "It would be less troublesome than to have to go snooping around for gossip if you could just tell me some of what you know. I'm relatively new, so just think of it as general debriefing. Haha, after all, I need to have some idea of who I might need to avoid if I do end up investigating certain rumors.
"Not simply to observe," Orihara replied, wagging a finger, as if guessing at the questioning of his loyalty. "I like to have a bit of fun too, you know. I like getting involved every once in a while, provided it isn't too hazardous to my health. Even then, though, it's nice to get one's heart racing on occasion. Wouldn't you agree, agent?" Tapping his chin, he added, "The young lady who recruited me also seemed to think I would be of some benefit to this organization. Normally I don't take sides, but recently I've found it's in my best interest to lay low for a bit. Heh."
He took out his tiny pokeball to stare at it. "They're still looking for me and the pokemon I stole, so while I could always turn around and sell Team Rocket's information elsewhere, my best bet at the moment is to keep my mouth shut and be as useful as I can here. It's a mutual benefit thing; strictly business. The big 'R' hides me from the law, I work for the 'R', and we both keep out of jail." He winked. "And besides, I've got my recruiter to thank. It wouldn't do if I were to betray these fine, young villainous minds at such a crucial time in their career, would it?" He giggled.
"Yes, yes, that whole, 'you can trust a dishonest man to always be dishonest, but the honest men are the ones you have to worry about'. Clever. Honest about your dishonesty." Orihara nodded slowly. "Working with tech makes sense, as does bettering yourself, but what reason do you have for being useful to the organization? What have they done for you? Is it really worth everything you're doing for them?"
He wanted to understand the loyalty of the members to their organization. So far he hadn't even see their boss, so he doubted it could be for sentimental or personal loyalty reasons. That sort had to make frequent appearances to their followers and be relatively good speakers to gain their trust. No, it had to be something else.
"I see," he acknowledged. "So as long as you're loyal to Team Rocket and undiscovered by the police, you can continue living that perfect life of yours?"

She just shook her head softly. “Fortunately, I’m very grounded.”
He certainly had a lot to say, and was proving to be an interesting individual, Faleen wasn’t bothered by this; she had a growing fascination with this grunt, animated mannerisms, verity of facial expression. He was quite good at putting on a show.
“You sound as if your lasting loyalty is tentative. My apologies if it’s not how you intended, though you are giving that impression.”
It was here that she paused, arching her eyebrows as hazel eyes shifted to glance at the Grunt to meet his gaze. Since the incident with Lance, team loyalty seemed to have taken something of a greater priority amongst the Rockets that had been involved. For Faleen herself, where loyalty wasn’t a problem; it was trusting that she was more cautious with, Who to put faith in, and over all, be careful what you tell someone. It was a lesson Faleen was not about to forget, especially now that this man was indicating that he might not be the most of reliable Rocket.
The questions that followed were not ignored, though she hesitated to answer them just yet. Instead she offered a polite smile, chin inclined to the side a little as she folded her hands once again behind her back and stepped to the side to evenly balance her stance, turning to face him once she was outside one of the training arias. “Grunt Izaya, we barely just met, and I must say that the questions are starting to tread toward more of the personal territory. I could stand here and answer all the questions you want, but I get the impression that without knowing the person these replies are coming from, the words could be taken into your own interpretation, therefore twisted from their actual meaning.”
Still, she didn’t look offended, just calmly watched him with a professional smile, “Are you always in such a hurry for all the answers?” As troubled by his reply as she was, Faleen didn’t feel the need to act any differently toward this man than she had been. On the contrary, she felt this was reason to keep him close, and keep an eye on him.
There was the fact that he did openly admit to enjoy to see how people react to things. He knew she was a loyalist, so perhaps this was just one of his experiments. So be it, either way.

"Tentative? Well, nothing can last forever, can it?" he asked. "But I'm not so much an idiot that I'd put my life at risk just to sell out a criminal organization. No matter what I got from it, even if it were a fortune, it would be no use to me if I were dead." Izaya tapped his temples. "Information like that is most valuable if stored up here. Don't worry; I can be very good at keeping secrets when I need to."
At the sweetness of her smile, Izaya returned the gesture but put up a mental guard. Something was up, and he wasn't going to be disarmed by a pretty face. "Ah, you're right, of course. Please forgive my audacity." He bowed his head apologetically, still smiling. "After all, I'm merely a grunt and you're an agent. I'm sure I must sound terribly bold for my rank. I still have a lot to learn."
Glancing at her Umbreon, he winked before looking back up at Faleen. "Perhaps I should let you get on with your training, then. They might be looking for me about now. If you ever want to talk, though, you know where to find me. That is, if you really want to know what sort of person I am." Chuckling, he held up his hand in a wave. "Well, if that's all, I'll be taking my leave now~ Thanks for taking the time to speak with me, Faleen-san. I thoroughly enjoyed our conversation. I hope to get to know you better in the future, heh."

Faleen held a hand up "Oh, please," She started, kindly "I am not in the habit of throwing my rank around, I am more than happy to assist any Rocket. Rank is important to remember and respect, especially so with Elite and higher, but I prefer mostly to be considered a team mate."
As he voiced taking his leave, Faleen held a hand out toward him, in the gesture to shake his hand. "There is quite a bit I must see to now, I look forward to the next time we meet Grunt Izaya. And perhaps working with you in the future."
Umbreon's blinked when the humans winked at him, eyelids drooping after with a flick of his ear.

"No, not at all," he agreed, laughing lightly. "It's me who needs to remember my rank. If you continue on allowing me to converse with you as an equal, I may forget my place and get into trouble with less...tolerant superiors," Orihara remarked. "Or are you hoping I will?" he teased.
Hesitant at first, Izaya paused before reaching out to accept her offering. "As do I, Agent Faleen. It really was a pleasure." He grinned, chuckling as he shook her hand. "Ja mata ne~ I promise I'll be seeing you around." With a hop and a step backwards, he pivoted with a twirl and skipped off happily back to his post. Oh, he liked this one. He liked her a lot.

"I never hope for such a thing" She said with an amused tone. "Until next time Grunt Izaya." Shaking his hand in return before he pulled away, bid her farewell, and very animatedly took his leave as he... twirled and skipped down the hall.
One saw all kinds in Team Rocket, that was for sure. Letting off a soft chuckle as she looked down at her Umbreon "Well than, That was interesting now wasn't it"
The Umbreon watched the man skip away with a raised brow, before tilting his head up to look at Faleen "Breon, Umbre"
Faleen chuckled again, "Come on, lets begin out training." And with that, Faleen turned around herself, heading into the training room.
