Shadena watched as Pavitra's eyes darted to look deeply into the shadows. "You know... As a foal, we have freedom to believe what our parents tell us... and in a way, they are prone to making us spooked so we don't leave their side. When we get older, we seem prone to still be afraid of the silly things that kept with our family. Yet... I've found, that there are few things to fear actually out there. Of course, there are a few things to worry about, but not enough to be afraid." She let a small laugh and then turned around to look closely at the ghostly white stallion. "And you're not that cowardly, Pavitra." She said with an assuring smile. "You're just uncertain~" She nosed him, "And uncertainty isn't a bad thing. It's smart, really."

"I assume that's very true. I really wouldn't know what my parents would of told me." He'd never had any, and the only reason he was so fearful of so many things is stories he heard through travelers like himself. That, and he had always been alone. You were much more vulnerable alone.
He blushed brightly at her compliment, though he certainly didn't agree. "Uncertainty has its limits." He laughed nervously, or embarrassed-like, not knowing which feeling actually triggered it.
"You know, you are a very good person Shadena. I'm very surprised that you look so sad, and so lonely. Someone like you shouldn't ever feel either of those emotions." He frowned, very serious in what he was saying. He honestly believed this.

Shadena tilted her head as she gazed at him. Never had anyone really taken the time to really talk to her. "Perhaps I was meant to learn a lesson from the lowly emotions that burn holes in one's heart." She spoke in a muted sigh, her voice just a breath as she thought.
She shook her head, huffing and laughing aloud. "It's not so bad. The ache lessens over time, and you stop searching for companionship, even though you hope for it. I have stopped searching, mainly because it doesn't harken from me much thought." Shadena turned away from Pavitra and looked back up toward the stars, her gaze resolute.

"I would never be able to stop searching. I was lonely all the time I was a foal, no parents, no friends. It was too much. When I was an adult, it was easy to find others. You just had to open yourself." Pavi stepped closer to Shadena, and nudged her shoulder with his snout, smiling. "You are so lovely, it musn't be too difficult for you." His smile broke into a bright grin. He was very happy to meet this mare tonight. She was in real need of a dose of truth and ego.

The nudge took her very much off-guard and she peered at the pale stallion with a look of immediate shock. It was a strange sensation to be touched and yet, it was something that she could get used to. "You apparently don't know the difficulty." A small chuckle escaped her, and she quickly stifled it, lowering her head shyly. It was rude.
Yet she could not help herself. When she looked at him, she felt flustered, shy. Her yellow eyes once more looked up at him. "Not difficult at all." He was lovely to behold, all pale and glowing white. It was the opposite to her with her soot black coat and off-putting yellow eyes. She was like the black cat of human lore, the bad egg, the bad omen.
