Nobuhiro Watsuki: Rurouni Kenshin and Buso Renkin.
Megumi Tachikawa: Dream Saga (her other mangas, Mink and Saint Tail look really good though)
Rumiko Takahashi: Inuyasha and Rin-ne (though I haven't read much of it yet)

CLAMP- Tsubasa, xxxHolic, CCS, Chobits... amazing storylines and art
Jun Mochizuki-Crimson Shell, Pandora Hearts. She's a genius, no need to say more.
Masashi Kishimoto-Naruto FTW
Kaori Yuki-Godchild, Angel Sanctuary... wonderful and detailed art. Plus I love the Victorian era ^ ^
Ema Tooyama-Watashi ni xx Shinasai, Koko ni Iru Yo... I'm not a big fan of shojo but her works are really enjoyable
