 Toadflaxfree-spirited, happy-go-lucky, playful "Toad"

Toadflax and his best friend, Panoply, were born on the plains right before the Great Flood that killed so many of the Kiokote -- Toad & Pan's parents included. The two friends grew up together as if they were siblings - closer almost, united in their loss.
Toadflax is a rather happy-go-lucky Kiokote, however, despite the trauma of his early childhood. He enjoys making up rhymes and pestering Panoply with them. Toad is a free spirit and a bit queer -- he isn't gay, per se, but he comes across as rather effeminate. He's pretty flighty in his affections, which can span from "oh just LOOK at the beautiful mane on that doe" to "oh gosh the MUSCLES on that buck's shoulders" in mere moments. Toad appreciates beauty in whatever form it places itself in front of him -- male or female, kiokote, kimeti, or acha.

Panoply and her best friend, Toadflax, were born on the plains right before the Great Flood that killed so many of the Kiokote -- Toad & Pan's parents included. The two friends grew up together as if they were siblings - closer almost, united in their loss.
Panoply's outlook on life is almost exactly the opposite of her best friend, Toadflax's. Cynical and a little bitter, Pan trudges through life on the back of Toad's wave of never-ending optimism. Pan too is a little queer -- but in her this manifests more as a dulled interest in kin of any gender rather than a preference towards a specific one. Romance, Pan thinks, is more along Toad's line of interest than her own -- although I'll be interested in pushing her on this boundary. Though she is rather a pessimist, she is extremely loyal to Toad, and will support him in any endeavor he wishes to undertake -- though she'll probably gripe about it along the way.

Fox is basically the acha version of a court jester. While outwardly he appears a bit of a fool, his joking comments usually hold some bit of inner wisdom. He can say things that others might shy away from because while they might seem rude or outright scandalous coming from others' mouths, a fool is (usually) excused his misdemeanors. Fox tumbles and frolics and prances like an acrobat, agile and light on his feet -- an ability which sometimes proves itself necessary if he goes a bit too far with his jokes and has to dodge an annoyed kick or bite from the person unlucky enough to be his target.

Frostbite"Frost"

Frost is an a*****e. He doesn't say much, but when he does it is the most harsh and biting and sharp thing that he can think of. He will often sit back and listen to a conversation for a long time, only to dismiss it rudely and walk away once its over. He spends most of his time with his sister Hailstorm, and together they don't make very many friends. It's unclear whether or not Frost even likes her.

Spring is stubborn and at times rebellious, although she cares deeply for her family and always comes back to them in the end. Most of her rebellion is, in fact, simply to prove herself strong enough, brave enough, smart enough to protect her family.
Currently living in the swamp with her sister Many Voices, though she will soon reconnect with her father, Walks Without Rhythm, and take up residence in the Borderlands, where a tribe is forming.

Touches the Ground is loving and fond of companionship but also wary of becoming too attached to a doe she likes (mostly due to past relationship issues; she knows her own heart, and it is prone to certain weaknesses). To make up for this she prides herself on being very capable of taking care of herself on her own. She's not overly feminine but has a soft side, though she mostly keeps it to herself. She can hold her own and has no issues with getting down and dirty to get a job done. Most of her close friends are male, and she is often considered just "one of the guys". She is not shy and will often speak her mind, but is also polite when she needs to be.

Parsnip is gleeful. He's a nice guy but also a terrible flirt, and has ended up hurting the feelings of more than one doe because he simply doesn't pay that much attention. He's not scheming or malicious, though -- he honestly just doesn't realize that some of the things he does can be hurtful.
