Quote: Submission By: Arena Emperor Submission Title: Believing Without Seeing Characters: Daigo Umehara and Kaminari Miyaki Text: [A cold night beneath the trickling snow, somewhere in Downtown Inaba...]It was the holiday season, the season for hope and togetherness. Tch, not that Daigo Umehara really gave two shits about that. White flakes trickled down slowly from the skies, like grains of white sand through the hourglass...puffs of breath passed through his lips like the smoke clouds churning out of the towers of an industrial wasteland. He had seen Christmas from the streets, from a home, in the country and in the city, and none of the seasons between the first and the last had given him any reason to believe anybody really had any more hope or cared a lick more when the seasons changed from the leaves of autumn to perpetual white than they had the year before. This season wasn't any different; passing through the streets of Inaba he saw through the forced, empty smiles of the townspeople and smirked knowingly at the signs and sights which bore in great, bright lettering the message that 'The End is Nigh!' Sons of bitches didn't really know how right they were. Tartarus was coming soon, and when Nyx fell this whole, decrepit s**t hole world was going to get what was coming to them. Salvation and death...yeah, couldn't argue with that. Being a hero had been too taxing; people were too cynical and stupid to save themselves, or even give a damn when somebody went out of their way to do it for them. Being the villain was much more rewarding...and it suited him, really. Especially when he turned the corner just before the Junes building came into view and started down a dark alley, catching the knowing glances of fellow cult members and watching as they backed down in a solemn reverence. The power was nice, too...it was all nice, watching this town sink into oblivion beneath a veil of snow. Wasn't a thing worth saving from Takaya's ******** up version of salvation in the whole cesspool, anyway... "Hey, you..." a feminine voice caught his attention as he passed by another alley, and with a glance over his shoulder he saw the owner of the voice which sounded as unamused and gruff about the whole situation as his own, "...you wanna party? I got some s**t in my bag that'll make you forget your own name." She didn't seem to be all that invested in her pitch, but nonetheless, she went to the trouble. The look on her face said that she didn't really care whether he bought or not, and judging by her slouch she didn't seem to care for being out here in this frigid weather pushing whatever wonder-drug she had stuffed inside that bag of hers, either. Daigo scoffed dismissively, obviously not interested in whatever she had to offer...though that didn't stop him from taking a nice, long second look at her if only because she had been the only one with the nerve to actually say anything directly to him in Strega's territory. And she wasn't all that bad to look at, really. Nice, short blond hairdo and an outfit that couldn't quite be considered appropriate in the current weather...but it looked pretty good on her, he might have admitted if he were really the type. Sharp eyes, good figure, fairly cynical attitude...he supposed he could stand her if he had the time for s**t like that. Unfortunately, he didn't. "Not interested," he answered with a dismissive sort of ease, turning his back to her to continue down the alley...only to stop, and before he even knew what he was doing he was speaking up again over the low din of the Downtown night, "you should get out of here. Bad s**t happens to people who wander around here uninvited." He wasn't sure why he said it or why he had even bothered answering her in the first place. All he knew was that he had spent too long looking at the girl and now he had actually wasted words on her. Though he didn't question why that was...only recognized that it was something of a nuisance. 'Bloody hormones,' he thought, lips thinning as he took a step forward, only to be halted by her voice before his foot made another imprint in the snow. That...that chick was laughing? "Bad s**t? Yeah right," the girl spat with a venom tinging her unimpressed voice, arm sliding to her sleeve to pull it back, revealing a strange pattern that had been carved into the skin and flesh there...it was a symbol with which Daigo would be very familiar, "you're one of those cultist freaks, right? Then I ain't gotta tell you where I got this. ...That ********' knife freak with the mismatched eyes...ain't nothin' anyone else could do to me that compares to that sick b*****d." In spite of himself, Daigo paused and examined the symbol, a Nyxist mark which Elke was infamous for carving into his victims; his precision knife-work was unmistakable in her skin, and for a moment he had visions of what that disgusting wannabe Rembrandt must have done to her when he marred her body like that. Turned his stomach a little...reminded him that what they were doing wasn't pretty, and for some of them, it didn't always have to make sense. But this town was going to Hell in a handbasket anyway, what did a single drug dealing chick in the back alleys of Inaba matter in the grand scheme of things? No matter how he reasoned it, she didn't. Still didn't change the fact that he couldn't pull his eyes away from the mark on her arm, or the skin above it which trailed a path up to her exposed elbow and onward. 's**t, something's seriously wrong with me today,' he cursed silently, only to earn a much less silent response from the girl standing in front of him. Shoving the sleeve back over her arm, she grit her teeth in defiance and looked to the side with distaste written plainly on her fairly good-looking features. "Don't even pretend like you pity me...I don't care if you are one of those twisted bastards. I'll kick the s**t out of you if you even think about it," the girl threatened with no trace of hesitation or doubt in her words. She didn't know if she could take him, but if he did just that, they would find out one way or another. Fortunately, her cynicism struck a nerve within Daigo. This was the result of his own cult's actions...even if he wanted to, he wasn't the type to put on that type of hypocritical face for anybody. And it's not like he was the one who cut her, so what did he have to be sorry about? "Tch...fine, whatever," he answered finally, turning around entirely to face her as she returned her eyes to his, satisfied with his answer...though to her surprise, he wasn't finished, and he didn't take that as his cue to walk away, "Then come with me...I got a place nearby. I'm one of them, so nobody will give a s**t what I do there...if you want to party, or whatever, you can do it there." Having said that, the Strega member took a step back and leaned against the wall opposite of her, watching with a mildly exhausted expression as a myriad of expressions went over her...from surprised to offended to, finally, indignant. Pressing off the wall, she appeared to be debating crossing the distance between them and making good on her promise to check his chin with her fist before finally she clenched her hands at her side and grit her teeth. All-in-all, Daigo couldn't help but think watching all her confusion that she actually looked kind of...well, cute. In a strange, 'she's gonna kick my a** and I might like it' kind of way. Damn, was he secretly a masochist? He wondered, but he couldn't help but see where this would go. Which he didn't have to wait long for as her voice broke the silence rather poignantly, anger evident in her tone. "Are you ******** with me?! Why the Hell would I want to do that?" she asked, incredulous...wasn't this just what she had told him not to do, "a better question, why the Hell would you want to do that? Cause if you think just because I'm some sort of damaged goods I'll..." ...She would have gone on longer had she not noticed that the layabout ex-hero had already pressed off the wall and begun down the snowy alley way towards his hidden little home, sparing only one glance back in her direction before he went. "Jesus, you're noisy," he sighed, rubbing his head as if to nurse a growing headache. In spite of his exasperation, however, there was an inexplicable little hint of amusement in his expression...as if, in opposition to his own nature, he was enjoying all this strange banter, "do whatever you want...but it's ******** cold out here, and I'm going inside. Besides..." For the life of him, he didn't know why he was still talking. "Maybe I just think that you look pretty damned good in white." It took her a moment to figure out what that meant...she was pretty sure she had been wearing a jean jacket and skirt, neither of them white. It was only when she looked over her shoulder that she noticed the white snow piling up over her body and the frigid shudder that trickled down her icy skin. She knew it had been cold before, but when did it get this freakin' cold?! Her eyes shifted back to the retreating form of the ex-cultist and despite the little voice whispering misgivings in the back of her mind, she really didn't get any feel from him that he was anything like that other freak...really, once the cold set in, she was sure (later, upon retrospect) she hadn't been thinking much at all. Otherwise she never would have found herself padding slowly in the path of his shoe-prints in the snow-covered streets, nor would she have ended up falling into step beside him when she finally caught up. 'I must be a masochist,' he thought as she caught up with him, making their way together now towards his home. 'I've got to be the most gullible idiot this side of Inaba,' she thought wryly, casting a dubious glance at her new acquaintance beside her. And yet, in spite of their cynicism and skepticism, they soon passed through the doors of his small home together...and there, in whatever manner they pleased, they stayed until well into the night.

Quote: Submission By: Necromonium Submission Title: Just for Today Characters: Souji Seta. Rise Kujikawa. Various individuals who refuse to be named. Text: December 24thBzz, Bzz, Bzz a small black object buzzed, as Souji pulled out his phone, for what felt like the upteenth time this week. He'd been stretched thin, from Drama club, to dealing with the Black messengers, to Kisa, to.....Just whatever the world had tossed his way. Not to mention the still lingering fear behind what the blue haired boy, Minato Arisato, had mentioned. That...That he might have to give up the ultimate sacrifice, to save the world. Bzz, Bzzz, Bzzzz He really should pick up that phone now. He looked at it, to notice that an unknown number had been calling him. Hesitant, he picked up the phone. "Hello?" he called as he lifted the phone, before hearing but a dial tone. Quiet........ He went to put his phone back in his pocket before noticing it buzz once more. Flicking it open, a Text resounded, one that shook the very core of Souji's Being. That which is most imporant to you, I have it. Souji flinched as he quickly dialed Rise's number, hearing nothing but the operator remarking that the line was busy. Damn... Souji thought as he slid on his shoes, starting out the door. Just one time...I'd like to be able to enjoy a quiet day. Truly, Souji was possesed with naught but misfortune. As he ran, his phone buzzed yet again, as he pulled out his phone. Go left. it called, as he looked around. Was it watching him? Whomever had taken.... Either way, he turned, as another text came out, gesturing him to go another way. He stormed through the town, following text by text, as he was in the downtown area. He went to flick open his phone at another text, before skidding to a halt. You're there. It said, as Souji looked up, noticing an all too familiar figure standing in front of him. One with lovely red hair, held up in pigtails. "Senpai...." Rise called, looking at him with a warm smile. The Silverette paused, as he looked around. Where.....Where was the puppeteer behind all of this? Who had been yanking him around? Who had.... His thoughts were interrupted as he heard Rise's ringing giggle. "Senpai....." she called softly as she moved closer, wrapping her arms around him. "Sorry, but this is the only way..." Souji was something he'd been all too often these days, confused. However, as she lifted up his phone from his hands, she tossed it over to a bundled up figure with brown hair. "Okay, We'll take care of everything. A cheery voice called, that Souji recognized. "Chie?" he called as the junior tugged Souji into the building they had been near, the Markyu Tofu shop. Rise's home. "Go on, make yourself at home." Rise called to Souji as she slid off her shoes as well, the Silverette doing so, silently but still confused.
"My family's out for today, so it'll just be us." Rise called, as she looked over at Souji. "Alone...together."
Souji looked up at Rise, as he looked around. The Shop looked a little....dark, with no one around. And he still had a million questions for Rise, as he opened his mouth. "But...what..." he started, as Rise turned. "What about....that message?"
"I'm fine." she called, lightly as they continued up the steps." "Everyone knows you've been under a lot of stress lately, so...we'd figured we'd do something to help out."
Souji paused, but laxed his shoulders. So, the whole gang was in on this? No wonder he was getting so many messages, so easily.
"Yosuke and Teddie are keeping an eye on Nanako." Rise started. "And everyone else is on hand in case anything happens. Raidou looked fairly serious on helping out, but hopefully it won't come to that."
Souji gave a slight sigh of relief as Rise opened a door, leading Souji into a room, decorated with pink walls, and a bed. A Television sitting in the middle, and a window gazing out into the snowing paradise that was Inaba.
"Have I ever...Shown you my room?" Rise called lightly as Souji looked around. There were a few textbooks and magazines on a small desk that he'd guess she studied. A few photos of her and him, placed inside a picture frame. Her blankets were still even a bit messy, half removed from the bed. "It's a bit messy, but I hope you like it." she called, as she gestured at her window. "At least I get a good view.."
Souji moved over, as he looked out of the window, seeing people moving about, some playing, some shopping.
"Yeah.." he called, as he smiled lightly. "So....today."
"It's all About Us~~" Rise called with a bit of pep. "Just for today, The outside world will have to make do without Souji Seta. Today, he's all mine <3"
Souji smiled, relaxedly. With so many people to protect Inaba at the moment, thanks to their adventures, and with the almost perfect timing, he figured he'd be able to relax, for once.
"Now, I've got a ton of movies we're gonna watch." Rise called. "They're a bit mushy, but it's just the thing for the holiday season. Then I'll cook for us later today, and I've even got a cake for us to share."
Souji smiled lightly as he turned his gaze from the window. "Sounds wonderful Rise." he called, as he embraced her warmly. "Though, I hope you won't object to me helping out with dinner?"
Rise hugged him back, before looking back up at him. "Nuh-uh, For just this one day Souji, you're getting the treatment you deserve. That means letting your sweet little Kouhai do all the cooking for you." she called, winking at him with an almost audible gleam.
Souji smiled warmly, as he teased her lightly. "Not even a little bit?" he retorted, as Rise shook her head firmly.
"Nope." she stated simply, as the two's eyes locked, in first a mock competiton, before they both softened considerably.
"I love you Rise." Souji called, as he leaned in closer to his love. "I love you too, Souji." Rise replied as she met his kiss, a wonderful start, to what would be one of the best days in Souji's life.

Quote: Submission By: Arena Emperor Submission Title: Santa's Dilemma Characters: Soji x Rise [ x ??? ] Text: [Junes Food Court, 12/23 - Evening..]God, it was hot...and itchy, too. There were way too many people watching; people he didn't know lining up to see him. All of them had an expression on their faces like a child about to open a birthday present; was this really what it was like for people in America who did this sort of thing? For not the first time, he was beginning to have his doubts about all this. Maybe if it was just one or two people he could understand it, but...this many? Some of them looked like they were older than he was...and some of them were barely up to his knee! He sighed and took a quick glance down at his lap...damn, he was going to be sore tomorrow. He really didn't know how Yosuke talked him into these things, but he was here nonetheless. It was two days before Christmas and Soji Seta had been drafted to play Santa Claus for Junes's first Western-Style Holiday Celebration! Joy to the world...yeah right. "All right, first up! Step right up and make your wish to old man Santa Claus!" the 'Prince of Junes' ushered the people through the roped-off line until they ended up in front of him, mostly children yet some teenagers and even a parent or two taking a turn...all of them planting themselves squarely on his soft lap. Needless to say, his thighs were taking a beating and his back was really chaffing against the seat and the strange red suit he had been forced to wear. The white beard and wig weren't doing him any favors, either...nor the ridiculous, elfish hat. He wanted to sigh and tell the kids they could just have whatever they wanted and then get the Hell out of this suit, but the moment he had taken his seat the kids and the parents all seemed to excited, so adamant about making their children wish to this red-suited 'Santa' guy for a holiday they didn't even celebrate here in Japan...and, well, he couldn't let them down. Yosuke, he could blow off if he really wanted to; 50 innocent children all in a line with their hopes and dreams written in adorable little expressions upon their faces? He did have a soul, didn't he? "Next up!" Yosuke shouted as a particularly large, obnoxious kid (probably about sixth year primary if he had his estimates right) practically leaped from his lap, digging in a purposeful fist into Soji's quad on the way out in an act of juvenile mischief that the Senior had to try really hard not to retaliate to...even saints had their limits, right? Honestly, he was just about ready to call for a break...children be damned...and when the Hell could he take this damned suit off, already?! "Huh? Rise-chan? Come to sit on Santa's lap, too?" he heard his 'Partner' ask in a sly voice, though he had nearly missed it in lieu of rubbing the soreness out of his leg. He barely had time to snap his head to attention when his red-haired girlfriend took a hop, skip, and a leap into his lap, wrapping her arms playfully around his shoulders as she giggled girlishly, settling in nice and cozy on his lap. Somewhere deep down inside, Soji briefly rejoiced...there was a God! Once he snapped from his temporary moment of spirituality, he realized that the ex-idol was now looking at him expectantly; shifting his jaw slightly to realign his beard, he fell into his practiced role with a renewed enthusiasm. "Ho, ho, ho...Merry Christmas," he greeted Rise with a 'jolly' laugh (that wasn't so much jolly as slightly-better-than-annoyed) and set an arm on her hip to keep her from slipping off his knee, "what can I get you, Miss Kujikawa?" Under his breath he tried not to curse (and failed) at how cheesy that sounded...but in spite his dubious feeling about the whole shenanigan he found that Rise actually looked quite impressed, eyes a little wide and mouth open as she looked up into his clouded eyes. "Whoa! Yosuke was right, you're good! You even knew my name!" the idol giggled happily, earning a raised eyebrow from the makeshift 'Santa'. For a moment he wondered if she was playing with him. Surely she...wait...was she really? He looked into her eyes for a moment and was surprised at the confusion he found there. Did she really not know that it was him beneath the suit?! She was halfway through 'a new designer purse' before he realized that she really, truly did not recognize him right now...and immediately, he found himself amused by the prospect. Vigor again coursed through the bones of this new Santa, and as he listened to the girl's many wishes he considered just how much of the cash he had saved from all his dungeon-diving missions he could skim off the top in order to get her some of those things she seemed to want so much. ...It was about somewhere between 'I could get her a couple of those...' and 'That is WAY too expensive!' when she seemed to pause all at once, as if considering whether or not to continue beyond that. He was surprised by her hesitation, but recovered admirably. Then, with a suddenly troubled expression, she continued. "Well, actually...I know I said all that. But if you can? There's actually one thing I want more than any of that.." she began shyly, as if unsure why she was telling him this. As if dumbstruck, he nodded...what else could he say?! There's...this guy. And I know he's working really hard for everyone...and for me. But..." she paused again, considering her words, "the truth is, I'm lonely...even if he's trying really hard, and what he's doing is really important, I miss having him to myself once in a while. ...I miss being together with him, telling him all my silly worries, trying to get those tiny smiles out of him that he almost never, ever shows. I know it's selfish of me, but...do you think...?" And there it was...that sad little expression with small tears bundling up in the corners of her eyes...the same look that he hoped he would never see her wear again after they had managed to pull her out of that dungeon. Something sank in his stomach and Soji couldn't help but think that he felt altogether sick that he had let her get so distant, feel so alone without him. What damned good was saving the world if he couldn't keep the woman that he loved happy?! She didn't have to finish her wish anymore...he already knew how it would end. And he already had her answer. Smiling beneath his bulky white beard and patting the girl on the head affectionately, there was a genuine warmth in the expression of 'Ole St. Nick' as he looked down into the heart-shaped face that millions had grown to admire...but only one had had the honor of truly loving. "I think I can do that," the jolly, red-suited Santa told her with a smile that only grew wider at the brilliant, practically-glittering expression that burst through her mask of despair. The tears were gone in an instant, her eyes wide and lips smiling! Thrusting her arms around his shoulders, she pulled him near into a tight hug. Then, just as swiftly she pulled back and leaped out of his lap, winking brightly at the white-haired man in a gorgeous expression. "Yes! Thank you SO much! Remember...you promised!" she beamed as she pulled back to her full height, turning away from him to leap into the air excitedly and let out a victorious shout. Distantly, he heard Yosuke call for the next person to come to the front...and out of the corner of his eye he could swear that he saw a familiar glimpse of onyx hair coming his way. But for that moment, he couldn't help watching the red-haired ex-idol as she bounded away from him with nothing but energy and joy permeating every last bit of her. And it was only just before Yosuke's cough alerted him to the coming of the next person that he saw Rise turn from the 'Exit' area of the ropes and look back at him, a strange and mischievous look on her face when she waved with both of her hands...positively radiating happiness when she called out to him, "I'll be back when your shift is over, Senpai! Don't forget!" ...He barely had time to register the words before she had practically floated away from the Food Court and into the elevator towards the downstairs of Junes. And for a moment, it was probably a good thing. 'S-Senpai?' he thought in a half-daze, rolling the word over and over in his mind until everything began to click into place. 'Senpai'...she called him 'Senpai'...that little...! 'Crocodile tears?!' he thought incredulously, though secretly, he couldn't help but be amazed that she had managed to dupe him so perfectly...or that he had actually fallen for it for a second. She was an idol for crying out loud! Acting was her profession! Aww, he should have known... 'Still...' he smirked slightly as the next in line walked neatly over towards him and placed herself delicately on his lap, her pale cheeks a lovely shade of red to offset her onyx hair and match her bright red sweatshirt and hairband, '...wait, red?! Oh my...' His eyes suddenly focused, shifting from his last visitor to the newest one...her charcoal eyes meeting his own with a familiar sort of hopefulness and wonder that had been worn by his most recent sitter. This was...interesting, he thought. And in spite of himself, he felt another smile growing wider and wider under that bushy whiteness. '...Looks like it's going to be a looong night...'[To Be Continued...?]

Right, a step-by-step look at how exactly he'd ended up like this would be good... It was Christmastime, right, and he was quite aware of the fact that while Japan didn't celebrate the religious aspects of it (though he was tempted to start doing that, considering all he'd learned these last two years), it was still very big on the romantic aspects of it. So... he'd come home like normal, checked up on Nanako, and come up to his room... to find an enormous box. A present box, to be exact, complete with ribbons around the outside and a little card with a doodle of a rabbit on it that told him the present was his. How... how exactly it had gotten into his room wasn't quite clear. It was too big to fit through the door, so the box had probably been assembled inside, which couldn't have been a very easy task. Yet, somehow, he'd been unable to resist opening it. If only because there was no way he could possibly get it out of his room otherwise. And now... this. It was obviously a setup, some sneaky individual having arranged this sort of thing, but that didn't stop it from being any less bizzare. Or, a thought deep in his mind whispered, impressive. Contained within the box was a figure, a figure that had been very tightly wrapped up in shockingly pink ribbons, held still from shoulder to toe and gagged with... ah, his uncle would probably kill him if Nanako stumbled across that kind of gag, actually. Wincing slightly, Soji reached forward, pulled off the gag, and quietly put it somewhere that nobody would look. In the meantime, he just blinked at the girl there, noting the pitiful tears running down her cheeks. Divested of clothing except for the ribbons, unable to move, and clearly feeling both rather embarassed and ashamed at having got caught in whatever trap had brought this on. Not that it wasn't incredibly sexy all the same, suggesting a very romantic Christmas indeed, but perhaps this had been going a little too far? Just a little bit? ... Nah. He'd earned this one, and the lack of screaming suggested that while she was still embarassed, she didn't quite object to how things were turning out... "I think I'll unwrap my present now." Soji said as he dimmed the lights and moved towards his gift once again...

A black haired boy stretched, his arms barely peeking out from under his thick comforter. The young man with messy black hair, a pair of pale blue stunning eyes, and skin pale as alabaster pulled himself out of bed and wrapped in the thick comforter shuffled off to his closet. What to wear what to wear what to wear… This was so hard he was off to meet with a girl on this snowy winter day for a date and he didn’t know what to wear. So much black in his closet… why did he have all that black anyway he wasn’t very dark inside. Grabbing a blue sweater and jeans he let the comforter drop away and dressed for his date. Time to head on out to the…Damn! He almost forgot his sister was going to be heading out to see her friend what was his name again…"A" something… oh it didn’t matter, she would be gone for most of the day so he had to give her her present now. On his way out of his room he grabbed the box for his sister. Walking down the hall he stopped for a moment to admire the snow falling outside the window. It was a beautiful day for a date with the most beautiful girl in the world. After a couple minutes of day dreaming he snapped back to reality and continued down the hall. Coming to a stop at his little sister’s door he knocked politely and upon getting no response he turned the doorknob and stuck his head in. “Hey Sis, Merry Christmas.” Peeking out from under her comforter he recognized the mess of green hair that belonged to his sister. “Its soooooooooo early. Lemme sleep!” The little girl shoved her head back under the covers where she was intent to sleep for another thousand years if she could. “Wake up sleepy head or you don’t get your present.” “PREEEEEEESSSEEEEEEENT!!!!!!!!” The girl came flying out from under the covers and came to a stop about an inch away from her brother’s face. Ruffling his black hair and chuckling the young man handed over the box. In an almost animal fervor the little girl ripped open her present. Upon opening the box the little girl’s face lit up with joy as she pulled the beautiful yukata her brother had picked out especially for her. “ThankYouThankYouThankYouThankYouThankYouThankYou ThankYouThankYou.” The little fox girl hugged her older brother and kissed him on the cheek. Laughing and patting his little sis on the head our hero smiles a gentle smile. “I’m glad you like it, I’ll see you later, have fun on your daaaate.” Just as he escaped the room a shoe hit the door flung by the little girl who was embarrassed by her very obvious crush on that boy from school. “That was close.” He mused to himself as he headed off to his date. Reaching the door he slipped his feet into the boots he had gotten last Christmas and headed out into the snow. He was going to meet the girl on the Inaba hilltop. His steps left small prints in the fresh snow as he worked his way up to the hill. “Its so beautiful this time of year.” He spoke to himself softly as he found his way to the top of the hill. Just as he reached the top he caught sight of the young woman he was meeting that beautiful snowy morning. Sneaking quietly up behind her he put his hands over her glasses and chuckled. “Guess who.” He asked knowing full well she knew who it was. The girl smiled and spun around and hugged the boy, who’s his face set with the most beautiful smile and his eyes, blue as sapphires radiated joy. “Yoshizo!” She called happily as she hugged tightly into his chest. Just as the prolonged hug subsided and the two bodies were separated just far enough so that the teens could look into one another’s faces Yoshizo Yoshimura leaned in and kissed the girl whom he loved softly on the lips. That day was to be magical they would get diner have a snowball fight, all was right with the world. But of course not all good dreams can last forever and eventually the black haired male awoke with a cold sweat on his face. He knew not of what happened but… he couldn’t tell what this thing on his face was. His lips were curved and he felt like there was something warm in his chest… pumping and fluttering. What was it? It had been a long time since he had forgotten the name. Looking around he realized he was still alone in the dark of the Data Dungeon World the abode of his master. Standing up his black clothes caked with dried blood the boy, who was very much still a boy, reached up to his face with his clawed hand. His fingers traced the contours of his lips feeling the curve of a smile; then his hand slid down to his chest where he felt the fluttering of his long frozen heart. He had long forgotten the name that next passed his lips: “Azarni-chan…I…love you.”

"Hey sweety, have you seen Allen?" asked a handsome man with messy black hair and strange yellow eyes, the young girl looked up at him in thought to remember if she saw Allen in the past hour, "Nope, I thought he was upstairs with Reo building his new trainset with him." The man scratched the side of his head in thought as a young woman entered the room, she pulled the mans cheeks and said in a baby like voice, "Why the face Kiyo?" The man pulled away the womans hands and asked in a stern voice, "Naomi, have you been drinking?" She giggled and nodded as she walked to Alice and ruffled her hair, the man face palmed and shook his head, "I should have known, you're really a troublesome sister..." The woman laughed and stumbled away to the dining table where the small family was supposed to eat christmas dinner together, the man and his daughter watched cautiously as the woman stumbled to the chair. "Is that really my aunt? She oughta be a child if she's acting that way..." said the girl in wonder. Kiyo shrugged, then had his direction to the aunt while she was arguing with a vase that apparently offended her, "Yeah...maybe I should take care of her..." The girl identified as Alice rushed over to the aunt and kept her away from potential dangers as the man walked upstairs, he opened the door to the toyroom and was suprised to see Reo staring out the window, "Hey son...have you seen your brother?" Reo turned around and nodded, "Allen? Yep, he said he was going to go visit a friend he never saw in a while, and then he brought this unfinished juicebox with him...but I dunno where he would go..." Kiyo thanked Reo and closed the door, he shuffled his feet nervously and gritted his teeth, he knew exactly where Allen would go, the girl that he befriended who died seven months ago...
Kiyo began running downstairs and Alice turned from the kitchen where her aunt had began sleeping on the floor, "What's the rush dad?" Kiyo pursed his lips and had his arms crossed in anxiety, "Allen...I think he's in the cemetery." Alice had a look of worry on her face but Kiyo dismissed her thoughts, "He'll be okay, I promise..." Kiyo put on his winter coat and ran out the door to the memorial while Alice waved and went back to keeping an eye on her aunt...
"Merry Christmas Chihiro!" said Allen as he knelt on a grave, he could've been talking to a person because he was treating her as if she was really there, Allen was unusually cheerful as he talked to the patch of graveyard dirt, "How's life in the afterlife? My uncle told me it could be like anything, a spa, an arcade, a magical rocket ship where unicorns handle all the controls and you can be all like wheeeee as the rocket ship lifts off from earth to the afterlife!" It was abnormally cold, and Allen was only wearing a sweater, his breath was visible in front of him in puffs of vapur as he ignored the cold as if this moment mattered, "I really miss you...I know you must think I'm crazy since I knew you so shortly but you were the only person I knew in my life who tackle hugged me...you thought I was your brother right? Heh, looks like you're the crazy one for liking someone who'd kill ya!" Allen laughed dryly and things went silent as Allen fumbled with his hands, "Don't worry Chihiro, I'm going to become stronger so I can avenge you, and you and your brother can talk all you want if he doesn't go to hell!" Allen sighed, he kept talking and talking and it kept getting colder and colder, Allen didn't know that he could die in this weather with a sweater. Allen had started shivering and his lips had turned purple, but he still talked to Chihiro as much as he could, but it was so cold that Allen had drifted into unconciousness and flopped into the snow. ... "Allen!" Allen opened his eyes and his heart fluttered with immaculate joy as he identified the girl in green pig-tails that he failed to confess his love too, "Chi...hiro... Chihiro..." Allen's voice was cracking with emotion... Chihiro grinned crazily down at him and she poked Allen playfully in the chest "Hey Allen, why are you out here in the cold? You're such a dumbass..." Allen scratched he side of his head and grinned, "I know..." Chihiro saw that he had a familiar juicebox for him and her eyes lit in curiosity, "Have you been saving that for me?" Allen nodded with a smile and Chihiro got it down in one gulp, she wiped her mouth and thanked Allen giving him back the juicebox, Allen realized that this was his chance, one and only to confess his love to the girl he grew to love, his face grew warm and he swallowed, there were going to be no regrets! "Chihiro I...I...I...love you... I love you so much, ever since the day we met by accident I wanted to be with you, and be there for you...I'm sorry I wasn't..." Allen broke off, a lump had formed in his throat and if he spoke anymore his emotions would've tooken control. There was silence... but then Chihiro smiled warmly, "I know..." Her lips suddenly touched Allen's, and an unbelievably over whelming warmth swept his body, it was better than being covered by blankets and better than anything Allen felt in his life, it felt like it lasted an etrnity and Allen wanted it to last longer, but Allen blinked and there was no kiss. No warmth. No Chihiro. No happiness. It was all his imagination, and instead negative emotions engulfed Allen replacing the sky rocketing happiness Allen had never knew of, Chihiro would never had come back to life, she probaly already had a boyfriend and she probaly didn't like Allen back... Allen was back in reality. Instead a figure was shaking his shoulders and it turned out to be his uncle, Kiyo, "Allen! Allen!" Allen opened his eyes and mumbled, "I'm okay..." Allen was covered in snow and he was in need of medical assistance, Kiyo sighed grumpily but gave Allen some slack in the case that he was just visiting Chihiro, "I hate how you always hurt yourself Allen...I hate it..." groaned Kiyo, he picked Allen up with ease and set him over his shoulder, 'She wouldn't love me she wouldn't love me she wouldn love me' chanted the voice in the back of Allen's head, Allen looked at the grave one more time to see an empty juicebox over the grave,
and a faint stir of joy was felt in Allen's heart.
