::::: Captain Gouka:::::Rep. Clair Gouka walked into the into the meeting room with Clair by his side. His stride was slow and lazyly placed; her's was full of confidence. She was excited by the meeting while Gouka couldn't have cared less. Gouka glanced around at the other teams before turning to his co-captain. "Why are we here again?" "Guild alarm; it means something has happened." Clair answered with a glare toward her Captain. "Tch, whatever. We are getting paid for this right?" Gouka asked with a sideward glance. "Shut up and listen." Clair responded by hitting him on the head. The two listened to Solaris' speech and both smirked at the same time. It was a chance to gain strength and knowledge; what more could they ask for? They watched as the doors were blown open and Gouka took the time to comment to his Lt. "Well damn. Wish I could do that." "Fat chance. You can't even learn to shut up." The two ceased their talking and followed the main group out the doors. Both of them anticipating a good battle in their future.

Jean-Claude---&--- JessicaJean-Claude muttered something to himself as he was ignored. Just because you're royalty, doesn't mean you get to be rude. And yes, another dumb idea from the Espeon. "... I have a bad feeling about this..." Jessica muttered as she stepped outside. Her eyes glowed blue in the dark as she transferred her sight to Aura detection. It was perfect for seeing life-forms in the dark. She slowly unsheathed her blade, holding it like a dagger. "If one Pokemon of ours takes one scratch, somebody's going to have to pay for it..." "Calm down, you," Jean-Claude said as he stapped outside, standing next to the Lucario. "We need to hold out on this until... I dunno, we find someone sane enough to replace Solaris..."

Luna & Kaiyou & LumonLuna growled deep in her throat as Solaris spoke, crossing her arms over her chest. "You're sending us into battle blind?" She hissed angrily, her eyes narrowing as she fixed her gaze on their Guildmaster. "Fool! We don't even know what we're fighting! People will get hurt!" Her skin prickled with unease. She'd once been blind in her left eye, and she wasn't keen to return to that state. Many enemies attacked one's eyes, and without proper sight to aid in retaliation, a skilled opponent could easily bring someone down, if they were unaware of their presence. Lumon nudged Luna gently with his fin. "Stick by me, Luna." He told her in his quiet, mellow voice. His intelligent eyes blinked with surprising calm. Since evolution, Lumon had grown to become almost impossible to unsettle. He was a soothing pool of warmth and serenity. "I'll float high to give you a half-decent range of sight, though I'd still recommend relying on your other senses." Luna nodded in response. "Thank you, Lumon. I'll do that." Shot shot a final glare at Solaris, before leaving through the open doors, Lumon floating above her head, with his dual antennae glowing brightly.
Kaiyou, however, had left the moment that the doors had been opened. The darkness of night was no trouble for him, as the natural sonar his species possessed made sight an unnecessary addition to his senses. He ran on all-fours, to minimize the opponent's ability to detect him, and the chance for them to strike at his vitals. The landscape was familiar to him, outlined in black and white, like an inverted pencil sketch, and yet strangely different, for he rarely wandered out at night, so sheer lack of necessity. He preferred to stay indoors, and he had no need to leave the palace, normally. His thick, soft skin was sensitive, feeling the vibrations of other feet treading across the grass around him, and their forms were clear as day, to him. None of them were threatening or dangerous.

Epitaph Saileithe DariusEpitaph trotted after Solaris, opening her mouth slightly to make a comment before coming to a complete halt and cringing as the door was sent flying open. "Solaris.." Her ears lowered slightly before quickly catching up to him. "It is dark out, yes but is an open area such a good idea?" Of course one would have to ask who's calling the shots. She'd personally prefer lighting a forest on fire and fight in that. At least she could see. Her ears gave slight responses to the others jumping at the Espeon's commands. No wonder he always seemed down the moment position and ranking came up. Regardless she's grown accustom to staying with Solaris for the sake of his sanity. Sai was quick to follow after her mother, silently agreeing with those around her. Darius stood with a sigh after her and stared out the door as he approached. He might only have one eye, but his sight was still fairly dominant. Not like he worried about much anyways. His expression darkened slightly, in a rather uninterested manner as the comments arose. Complain less, get the fight over with, get some sleep... simple enough.

 - Echo - - Zephyr - The two followed along with whatever everyone else was doing, which was basically following a pink Espeon out of the guild's front doors. Echo knew it was the guildmaster, Solaris who they were all following, which made sense. To Zephyr, on the other hand, it was just another weird brightly-colored Pokemon. Strange like all the rest. He was happy he was grey, it was soothing to just blend in, not stick out. He shook away his thoughts with a blink and walked out the door into the night. He exhaled into the darkness. It would be really nice if I could see in the dark." He said to himself, shrugging. He'd have to deal with it. At least he had the satisfaction of knowing that his team mate couldn't either.
Echo squinted. From the not-so-brightly lit guild to the very dark outside usually wasn't that bad, but Echo had sensitive eyes. Sensitive to light, anyways. Her eyesight itself was near perfect. The small Treecko paused as she realized that Zephyr wasn't with her. Teams should stay together, shouldn't they? Echo blindly wandered around the field and the crowd, looking for a gray Scyther.

~Aidan & Nadia
With a reasonable enough explanation given to them via their guildmaster; the twins obtained enough mental solace to go, literally, blindly into battle without question through vigorously opened doors. Granted, as far as canines go, they had heightened senses in comparison to other branches of Pokemon species, but nevertheless an entirely night based battle with little light to guide their way there was bound to be troubles. For now they were forced to rely on their underdeveloped aura-reading powers that would only peak with their respective evolutions.

KataraKatara hesitated for a moment as they began to leave and go outside. Skarmories has a very keen sense of sight, but they require light in order to see. The Ditto fought with herself for a moment, before making the decision. When this ditto left the main hall out into the darkness of night, she came out as a Houndour. CecilCecil charged outside like the reckless idiot hero he is. Acer && CrescendoAcer and Crescendo glanced at each fearfully for a moment. The little Turtwig gathered his courage with a gulp and stepped out with everyone else. After a moment's hesitation Cress followed, hoping that his healing skills will not be needed. ZeroZero's mind shifted to another instance brought back to him by the alarm. He was still making his way down the halls, his memory not completely matching up with the actual layout of the guild, resulting in the Glaceon slamming into many a walls and closed doors. He would arrive at the main hall eventually I guess.

 Solaris
Solaris nodded to Epitaph as he walked. "We can't let them into the city. They've been attacking a lot of pokemon, if we just wait inside of the guild for them to arrive there will be a massacre." While Solaris had a good point, it had evidently not occurred to him that they could have evacuated the city into the guild and then they could have waited for the Mightyena to show up. Not that that could be changed, now; it was too late. The bright, full moon overhead cast a pale glow over the field, giving the Espeon enough visibility to pick his way across the ground with ease. Whether or not it would be enough light to fight with would remain to be seen, but with his eyes rapidly adjusting to the darkness he was hardly blind. He just hoped a cloud wouldn't decide to block out the moon. He then proceeded to, along with the rest of the guild, sit on his a** for about thirty minutes. He had a sudden burst of anxiety every time a cloud slipped part way over the moon, but it was quickly gone leaving Solaris only to his boredom. The scout had said they would be an hour, after all. Gathering the guild hadn't taken that long. His head came off the ground and his ears flickered as they picked up a sound in the distance. The constant, chaotic thudding of the pokemon that approached. "Everyone! They're coming, get ready!"
((Do not post yet! Connected will be taking over from here, so please wait for her post. Quick edit~ That is, Connected will be controlling the boss for this chapter. She'll be doing HP counts and all that, so she determines the rounds now.))

((Due to personal issues, Connected can't make this post. She sent it to me, so I touched it up a bit. Here it is, round START!)) A sudden cloud passed through the sky, covering up the moon. The world went totally black for a moment, save for the few solitary lights that a few pokemon gave off. Small, barking laughs quietly rang in the air. The cloud that covered the moon parted to reveal a group of twenty Poochyena mere moments away from the guild. A few were aimlessly jumping at one another playfully even as others glared at the nearby Pokemon with a rather unwelcoming glee. Behind the pack, unseen in the darkness by even the sharpest of eyes came a rather large Mightyena. A small black necklace sat comfortably on his neck, camouflaged by the night itself. It paused, sitting behind it’s pack and gave a brief, menacing growl. The Poochyena's behavior shifted drastically as even the most playful and light-hearted of the pack charged at the guild as one, solid group.

 Kyanto and Shimmer Team Nightfall
Shimmer looked at the group, realizing that she didn't have the courage to do anything. Kyanto quickly tapped the Dratini and gave out a loud growl, attacking one of the Poochyena quickly.
"Take this!" He said as he used Tackle against his target, while Shimmer helped with a Wrap, constricting another Poochyena.< >

Jean-Claude---&--- JessicaThe tall Lopunny tilted his head from one side to the other, cracking his neck. "It seems as though this time we have a bit more of a challenge." He said, wincing a bit as he felt a Poochyena's jaws clamp onto one of his ears. Swinging up and back, he tossed the Poochyena up in the air and caught it with a Jump Kick. Jessica could see the Pokemon as soon as they were at least a mile within reach of the guild. "Poochyenas, and a big damn Mightyena!" She called out to the Pokemon who couldn't see in the dark. She then flicked out one of her throwing knives, catching an angry Poochyena between the eyes.

Luna & Kaiyou & Lumon"A pack. F***." Kaiyou hissed under his breath. A well-led pack of canines posed a very real threat. Their typical pack behavior meant that they acted as one. They had communication and teamwork skills beyond that of many in the guild. He knew that for a fact. He crouched low as a Poochyena charged directly for him, and he opened his jaws, firing a powerful Mud Shot directly into the Dark-type's attacking form. It went flying back with a strangled yelp, and rolled swiftly to it's paws, only lying on the ground for a moment. Kaiyou grimaced; the Poochyena was stronger than he'd expected. He slashed at the air with a powerful arm, Muddy Water washing over the Poochyena with an area-focused tsunami. The Poochyena broke through the wall of water, only to screech as it was momentarily blinded by a sudden flash of light. Lumon darted over the Poochyena, a massive Thunderbolt crashing down over the canine's skull. The electric shock pulsed through the air, striking hard and quickly. The Poochyena's eyes rolled back into it's head, and it convulsed from the over-charge of electrical energy. It slid over sideways, and collapsed onto the ground. "Pulse check, Luna!" Luna appeared out of the shadows, and knelt next to it, placing a pair of fingers over it's vitals. "Target is alive but disabled. Move on." She replied firmly. Kaiyou smirked, moving off with his team to face another Poochyena, heading straight toward the heart of the battle. Finally, some discipline and coordination.

 - Echo - - Zephyr - Echo's eyes grew wide in fear at all the scary Pokemon that were appearing. Those were Poochyena, surrounding a Mightyena. She brought her hands near her head and started shaking. So this is what battle felt like. It wasn't nice. She silently gasped as she spied a Poochyena wildly running towards her. She didn't have time to run, all she could do was shield herself... with her soft gecko arms. She took a hit from the canine, and was thrown back onto the cold, unforgiving earth beneath her.
Zephyr grunted as the Poochyena ran forth. He made sure to keep moving, and to leave himself an escape route, or "out" no matter where he was attacked. Even though it was dark, he could still see the outline of an orange figure in the distance, getting thoroughly beat up by one of the Poochyena. "Echo." He said under his breath. The Scyther rushed forward, ready to help his teammate. He kicked it as it came near, to give himself time to scold Echo, who was battered and in shock, on the ground. "Don't you know how to attack?! Or even defend yourself? Do I have to do everything for you? I'm not your mother." He shot a nasty face at the Treecko, and then switched his attention to the Poochyena that began attacking him. He blocked with a scythe, then slashed the Poochyena across the face. Then a grimace; it wasn't a direct hit. It had only scathed the canine across the snout. Another slash though, and the dog was on the ground whimpering. To finish it off however, Zephyr crossed his arms to form an X, then slashing them forward at the same time. The Scyther nodded in satisfaction, then turned back to his teammate. "If you want to fight alongside me, buck up and actually do something. I'm tired of you depending on me." He quickly turned his head and walked off to fight another enemy.

~Aidan & Nadia
"Get it the hell off of me!" Rater than utilizing her normal form of telepathic communication that would just reach her brother, Nadia found it more appropriate to vocalize her pleas for help as she found herself pinned to the ground underneath the body of lone canine which was pretty equal in size to herself. The Poochyena only having gotten the upper hand by means of the few moments of sheer darkness which stunned her into enough to have been taken advantage of momentarily. At the moment the only thing keeping two rows of sharpened canine teeth from reaching her neck was her own small paws forcefully wrapped around and pushing away the snapping black dog's neck. Needless to say, even though other attention may have been drawn, Aidan, being the generic overprotective brother, was first on this scene. Without hesitation the much larger Riolu soon had the charcoal assailant by the scruff of his neck in one paw while the other readied a Force Palm that succeeded in sending the Poochyena flying into a nearby rock formation with a sickening thud. Granted the enemy wasn't dead but there was undoubtedly an opening of floodgates that let loose a torrent of remorse after the deed was done. "Nyeh! I didn't mean to hurt him...Well I did--but, I, o-o" Aidan was mentally destroying himself at the sight of the bloody canine that was in that state by his own hands. The situation only getting worse from there when his sister ran over to her attacker and gladly finished him of by slamming his head repetitively into the ground until death. "Now he's not!" She announced back with accomplishment. -1
