Dear Journal,
I don't know why it's never come to me to write one before; I don't even know why the thought just came to me in the first place. I went out to a few stores, like the nice redheaded man suggested, and bought a crib and--well, all these things my cousin wrote down for me. I'm not sure why I would need them--I don't know what half of the things are, really. I didn't tell him that, because I know he would laugh at me. He always does.
Did you know, journal? That the things people call moving pictures are actually people trapped within screens? My cousin Vate told me. He knows much more about the human world than I do; he's been here on Gaia for years. He said if I watch one alone, I might be sucked into the screen too. So I'll have to watch one with someone. He said someone pretty, too.
Maybe Adalia would like to go to a movie with me? I'd like that. She's pretty, but she didn't seem all that friendly. I tried to become her friend, but the more I tried, the shyer she seemed to become. I know cousin Vate's always saying I'm awful with women but--

My vial's just started bubbling. Weird. That not very nice man said something about babies and...
I think it's going to explode. What do I do? Did I break it? Is it some strange event? Is it predicting some kind of earthquake? ...I have a feeling I should take it out of the bag now. Okay, it's out. Still bubbling though... I'm starting to worry. I don't know how I could have messed up, but--
What if the baby's dead? How does the baby come out of the vial anyway? How did the baby fit inside there in the first place?
Maybe I should avoid creepy people with strange colored hair from now on. Including cousin Vate's son, Howl. I've never seen hair quite so gold and shiny and... it's strange. I don't approve. Oh dear... My vial just cracked. And...
I think whatever was inside of it is dead. I was so hoping I'd really get a baby out of it, even if it was a girl... Even if I'd have to ask my cousin how to take care of it properly. Even if--what if Adalia doesn't like me because I'm getting a baby? I've heard that people don't like it when single guys have children. That might be a dent to my image.
...I don't even know if she liked me in the first place. I hope she did.
I think I really like her, journal. I could, I think, even love her. Vate says love's very important. I suppose he'd know; he's lost the girl he was supposed to be with so many times I stopped bothering to count.
...What is that sound?
Oh, crying. The fuzzy thing on my floor is crying.
Weird. I don't remember having a fuzzy thing in my house--the baby!
