Canada is a constitutional monarchy. The queen doesn't do anything. Her representative is called the governor general. The governor general doesn't do anything unless the prime minister goes all psycho dictator on us. It's our equivalent to your right to bare arms. We are more peaceful that way.

It got big because of Rupert's Land and the Hudson's Bay Company. The King of England at the time just decided to give this giant a** chunk of land to the HBC, thus making natives severely pissed. BC was going to be American, but then the railway was built, and we were Canadian. We are useful because we have port cities.

Crash course in Canadian history and politics is now officially over.

Wow. We used to be a part of Britain, like 250 years ago. Soo old. I wonder if we still had british accents in 1770.
