gonk yes they are, and so is Atreyu... i hate atreyu so very much... SOAD is pretty good, i would be a bigger fan if they hadnt made BYOB, i hate that song so very much.

Well, more than a few of those aren't Nu-Metal.
Just because people confuse it with real metal, doesn't make it Nu-Metal. o.O;
There's a thing called alt. rock, and hard rock, and ect.

These are not Nu-Metal.
All of these are some form of rock.

Nu Metal-
Nu metal (or aggro metal) is a controversial subgenre of heavy metal music. It sometimes bears some influence to hip-hop, because rhythmic innovation and syncopation are primary. Nu metal bands also feature aggressive vocals (either rapped, shouted, or sung), drop-tuned guitars that are clean or distorted, (with riffing similiar to the Seattle scene of the early 1990's) a funk-based rhythm section, and occassional DJ techniques such as turntables and sampling

Harvested Sorrow SoaD should be on there, too. I wouldn't say that. Even they don't really know what kind of metal they are. Altthough i wouldn't say they are NU-Metal.

Actually... some of those bands aren't even Nu-Metal...
When I hear the term nu-metal... I'm thinking bands like Dope & Cyclefly...
but Kittie, Slipknot, Reveille, Primer 55, Coal Chamber (!!!)...
I mean... these bands were around during my freshman year of high school! (I'm 22.) & by no means fall in the category Nu Metal...
they aren't even New Metal.
& Slipknot & Stone Sour aren't the same band!!!
... on top of that... isn't nu metal more of an opinion rather than a genre... an opinion derived by magazines like Rolling Stone & Circus ( evil ) @ that...

Ok, 3 things.
1: Slipknot is more heavy metal then Nu-Metal
2: Disturbed is definately not a rock band, they are also heavy metal.
3: Powerman5000 isnt nu-metal! Anybody who has ever listened to their music would know that they are techno metal.
PS: Slipknot and Stone Sour are definately not the same band.
