The oddly colored Chikorita pranced back to the 'ranch' of sorts of which he lived. It was more of the place where Abigale set up shop for a professional egg hatchery. She was certified by Professor Elm and everything.
Mama Cama, the main egg incubator and Camerupt, peered at the Chikorita as he walked by. "You have scratch marks all over yourself..." she commented in a worrisome tone. The Grass-type stopped and peered at her before giving her a bright grin.
"I know! Isn't it awesome! I really hope the one on my face scars up! It'll make me look so awesome in a frightening way!"
Mama sighed a heavy sigh, shifting her weight a moment, making the eggs around her rattle ever so slightly. "What on earth were you doing?" she asked, not sure if she wanted the answer.
"Battling! Abigale doesn't battle with trainers anymore, so I go around near the tall grass near the hatchery and look for someone who'd like to battle."
Mama cringed. She knew all too well that the wild pokemon in the tall grass near the hatchery were a higher level then Hazan, but now her curiosity had been perked, if anything so she could find the said pokemon once her s**t was up to give her a piece of her mind.
"What kind of pokemon was it?" she queried. Hazan grinned wider.
"A Tauros!" Mama's eyes went wide.
"A Tauros?! What made you think that that was a good idea?! It's at LEAST twice your size!"
Hazan flipped back his leaf and sat down with a huff. "Because no one else would battle me, that's why..." he said with a grump before looking at Mama, who was trying her best not to get angry and overheat the eggs.
"You could have got hurt worse then what you did!" she scolded. Hazan rolled his eyes before laughing a bit. "What's so funny?"
"It wasn't any Tauros. It was Coffee!" he explained. Mama had to think for a moment before her eyes went wide. Coffee was the son of Abigale's Tauros Espresso and her Miltank Creme. He had hatched around the same time Hazan did too.
"Oh! Oh I see. Well, you still got pretty scraped up..." she commented, giving Hazan a lick to start cleaning his wounds. "So who won your little battle?"
"Oh, Coffee did. His papa taught him some moves that I just couldn't compete against...but oh man Mama Cama, it was the most fun I had in so long! I was dodging and getting a few Tackles in every now and then and Coffee and I were laughing so hard at some points we had to stop just to breathe again! I still feel amazing after that battle even though I lost!"
Mama chuckled. "That's good to hear sweetie. Now go down by the watering hole and wash out those scrapes. I think some of them will scar up, but not all of them, thank goodness..."
"Ok Mama Cama! I REALLY hope the one under my eyes stays. It makes me look awesome!" he said before he trotted off, leaving Mama to chuckle to herself.
"Kids."
