SoA Name & Meaning (if applicable): Kiuaji (Deadly)
Desired Rank and Why: Guard - Kiuaji would give a very great deal to be a Scout, but because he is a carrier of the disease, the pride will not allow him to indulge his longing for adventure. At least as a Guard he can be on the border, though it sharpens his longing for freedom.
Is he diseased, a carrier or immune? Carrier
Was he born in to the pride or did he join later? Born into the pride.
Personality: Kiuaji has always longed for adventure - to see new places and do new things. As a cub he would enact imaginative journeys to places he'd only heard about in stories and legends, as well as those he made up himself. That love of adventure and wish to see other lands never faded as he grew older, but became dimmed with sorrow as he grew to understand that he would never be allowed to leave the pride.
Kiu would never go so far as to run away from the pride, not knowing that he carries the disease in his blood, and is loyal despite his longings and frustrations. He is young and can be hotheaded, but a long stint on guard duty tends to clear up most problems for the time being. He is trying to make the most of his life as would any lion his age, but he is having a hard time teconciling his limitations without giving into despair. It is one thing, he thinks, to see the world and then to choose these lands and this pride. It is another to be doomed to spend one's whole life in such a small section of the world.
What is his relationship with other members of the pride?: As a young male, Kiu likes to wrestle and race with other lions his age (cheetahs, of course, have a distinct advantage over lions in racing and lions have an advantage over all others in wrestling) and is perfectly capable of having a good time. On a deeper level though, he hasn't yet found it within himself to settle down and admit the limitations of his life. This means that while he's happy to flirt with any females his age, choosing a mate is farther from his thoughts than for most young males.
What is his history up until now? Both of Kiu's parents have been dead since he was young - his mother is nothing more than the memory of being safe in a sweet-smelling embrace, and his father, that of a big, fuzzy mane. Both succumbed to the disease when he was still a cub and though he was raised well, he still mourns the fact that he lost them so early. His elders watched him pretending to be a Great Adventurer and decided that it must be his way of dealing with that grief and sorrow.
He became a Guard because it would mean the opportunity to get as close to the outside world as possible without leaving the pride. Though he still wants so badly to leave, his loyalty is stronger and he does his duty with pride. It doesn't stop him from dreaming though.

SoA Name & Meaning (if applicable): Anthuri ((Taken from the poisonous flower Anthurium))
Desired Rank and Why: A Bard - though he cannot leave the pride ever since he did find out he was a carrier, Anthuri has managed to keep himself together by falling on the stories and tales that he learned while he was a rogue. Not only does he tell true stories, the lion learned from his family how to make up any tale to please an audience.
Is he diseased, a carrier or immune? A carrier
Was he born in to the pride or did he join later? He came upon the pride in his travels and decided to give life through stories to a place where death hangs so heavily.
Personality: Loud and definitely not shy, Anthuri will boldly approach any stranger as long as he knows that they are safe from him. Ever since he learned that he is a carrier of the disease, Anthuri has become somewhat sadder - though after breaking through his old depression the lion has tried to cover his sorrow with his stories. He will do about anything to make others feel better, even by acting like the goofy, vain lion that he used to truly be so no one who knows his past will pity him. Secretly he is a pessimist about his own fate, though for others this lion always shows a bright optimistic smile.
What is his relationship with other members of the pride?: He’s the gossip, any news that he gains from the sick quarters quickly spreads. He’ll even yell interesting pieces to those not affected by the disease so they can know as well. Stories come easily to him and others know him as a storyteller - often he can be found sitting outside on starry nights telling new tales.
What is his history up until now? When Anthuri came to the pride he knew no sadness. His family was split up, but the lion was accustomed to that - they were all travelers after all who were raised with an itch in their bones for collecting tales and for making them up as well. Once in the pride the lion hadn’t realized how serious the sickness really was. Actually when enough time passed to prove that he hadn’t contracted the sickness from others Anthuri got bolder and began to mingle. As a bard he loved to tell others about his travels and the tales that he had picked up.
His love of stories was enough to get him to approach a rogue lioness who had traveled rather close to the border. After introductions Anthuri quickly had Lutfi warmed up to him and they became quick friends. Though he warned her to not enter the pride, Lutfi stuck nearby so they could talk more. And more. Until the two became lovers and Anthuri who was supposedly perfectly immune to the disease even started talking about running off with his secret mate. But even he knew the risks of leaving this pride. Lutfi only laughed and said that hey, maybe if he was immune then she was too.
Three days later Anthuri’s world changed drastically.
The lion who thought he was immune was actually a carrier while the young female who thought that nothing could ever catch her was caught. Lutfi had the disease. After many painful weeks spent in the pride Anthuri watched as his love died. She who should have still been running across the lands was going to the ground. Her soul released from the body that once had so much energy, so much life. So much love.
And it was all because of his curse - the disease.
Since then Anthuri has taken to hiding in the midst of the pride where most of the sick are and while he is a bard, the lion still helps the healers to take care of the sick. Even by song, he is one to sooth others with his voice. And at night he tells his tales, to distract everyone from their pain, the sickness. Even more importantly - to distract himself from his guilt, from Lutfi’s death.

Desired Future Rank and Why: Spy
Why? For every society there always exists at least one creature who watches keeps tabs on every other. They quell uprisings before they start, silence the unsuspecting by force if necessary and more importantly they can make it seem either completely natural or a mere accident. While I'm not aiming for a particularly malicious character I am gunning for one that is decidedly neutral, guided by duty and purpose rather than emotion. The spy role fits perfectly in this respect and has a great deal of opportunity if I can get the right plots for it!
Is she diseased (and if so at what stage do you intend for him to show symptoms?), a carrier or immune?
My preference is for her to be a immune to the disease, after considering what my overall goal for her would be, it's safe to assume that she isn't stricken with the plague but is (or will be) focused on ensuring it remains under control - consult personality and notes of interest for further details.
Personality:
While sobered and more mute in comparison to some cubs of her age, she has her reasons. Mildly jealous and envious of those cubs who still have their parents she's occasionally struck by the desire to 'bring back' her family too. This aside she does possess the ability to enjoy herself like a normal cub when she's distracted and doesn't have to participate in 'quiet time'. Suffice to say she is not one for self reflection (at least not as a child) and prefers to play with those who have the strength to participate.
Recalling some of the words of wisdom bestowed upon her by her father, she has great aspirations. Aware of the plight that suffers her pride, she decided from a young age that she would find a way to cure it (unlikely) or to limit it at all costs. Some might say that she is a female capable of going to any lengths to preserve the integrity of her pride in the distant future.
Despite her moments of soberiety she does have a wicked sense of humour and a sense of play. Clever to a fault, she excels at puzzles and even play fighting simply because she can strategise and formulate a plan so quickly. As a child she greatly appreciates distraction and anything that challenges her to think outside the box or simply introduces her to new things is a wonderful thing indeed. Consequently, she is arguably a 'perfect' student though as always there's certainly room for improvement.
What is her relationship like with others in the pride (both adults and cubs her age?):
As a child she associates well with her fellow pride members. She respects her elders as instructed by her father and treats those who are unwell with as much care and consideration as a cub can manage. She does have moments in which she is troubled and confused by her immunity to the disease that took her parents but this does not encourage any sense of superioty in her (though a tiny devil inside her reckons it should).
Where did she come from? Fadiyah is a cub of simple origins; born as part of the pride to a loving mother and a father with very particular views. These views became much firmer when her mother lost her life to the plague and left her father as a single parent. Eventually he walked down the same path as her mother, succumbing to the plague and leaving his daughter to the care of the nannies.
Any other notes of interest about the cub?
It is anticipated that with age this cub will lose most of her innocence. This won't make her evil but I intend to replace her optimism with a sense of duty and neutrality. She will still be gentle around her pride, however, should dissent be caused or rules be disobeyed then she will not object to brute force. It's my intention to let this 'superiority' complex manifest in a manner that gives her the ability to recognise that she is different and this gives her the unique opportunity to use it to her advantage - her health is the key to her success and that, in her opinion, will make it even more important that she is the elite when it comes to her 'role' within the pride.
She will become the most awesome ninja EVAH - or so says me. 8D *Sage nod and promptly shot*

Oh lord I hate this question, it's always so loaded and I never know how to answer. @_@! I guess I could say that while I own a few SoA I've never felt confident enough to seek out RP before and having an avenue in would give me that opportunity to get out, about and meet new SoA folks. =3

Desired Rank in the Pride and Why: Warrior because he feels it is in his place to protect the pride and his mate
Is he diseased, a carrier or immune? Carrier (cause if his mate is a diseased one and they one day have a litter then we think we may have her die but not till way later and he grieves that he is giving the same destiny to his cubs as he is a carrier)
Personality:] Maji is a strong willed and determined lion. He knows where his loyalties lie in the pride and he has a great honor and respect for the higher ranks and helps those behind him. He can often get overly defensive when he thinks he is defending what is right. It is this asset that makes him such a formidable warrior.
What has his life been like within the pride up until now?: He has spent his time in the Pride training and working to show the pride what he is worth of. He never cared for anything but providing comfort and safety for the pride and pleasing his pride queen and king. He worked day and night training and Fighting to be one of the best Warriors in the pride.
What are his relationships like with the spotted and dark furred female? The dark masked female was a student to him, he helped mentor her as a scout and thought nothing of her at first. He had his eyes on the Spotted female who was a kind and caring more experienced female in the pride. However as time passed he found a new love in the dark masked female he taught so much and eventually choose her.
Who will he choose to take on as a mate? Dark Masked Female
Does he come to this decision lightly or was he torn over the two females in his life? He was certain he loved the spotted female but as time came and the dark masked female became a bigger part of his life he soon realized the one he wanted was there all along. The decision was hard but as time pass became clear.

Desired Rank in the Pride and Why: Guard because even young she knew she wanted to prove that the girls can fight just as well. She also felt in her heart it was her duty to protect the pride and her pride mates.
Is she diseased, a carrier or immune? Diseased (sadly her mate does not know this till the future, maybe even some plots for the cubs)
Personality: Fiesty and determined. This young female is like a spark ready to go and will fight tooth and claw for her pride. She is a bit hard headed but knows when she makes mistakes. She is a more powerful female and a little less caring unless your family, mate, or cubs. She can come off as hard-to-get and harsh at times. Overall however she is dedicated and loyal and has the best intention.
What has his life been like within the pride up until now?: Life has been semi-easy she felt being a female she was obliged to help in a kind caring way. However she was born a fighter and feisty and sometimes with a hard head. She knew when she watched the warriors and guards practice and train that it was what she wanted to become and do for the pride.
What is her relationship like with the competing female (if she has one at all?) As soon as Laini took her on as a sort of apprentice and mentored him herself she always felt a little soft for him. However she knew she could never take his eyes off the older more experienced female he had his eyes on. She was a Guard and she did what, Ardhi, felt obliged to do when she was little but proved herself wrong. She always felt a slight bitterness to the female but never said anything cause it was not her fault he liked her. She just took every moment she could to show Laini what she was capable of and what she could do.
How does she feel when she is finally chosen as his mate? Shocked and Relieved. The young female never thought Laini would choose her over the other female. She was so happy and seemed to thank the sky. She blessed them for giving her the power of patience and determination to catch his eye. She felt like it was almost a dream, a dream she would never wake from. She knew it was in a way her duty to one day make the pride a litter of strong future fighters and who knows what else.

(To be filled out together, or at least agreed upon by both writers) What will the relationship of the male and his chosen female be like? They mated out of a true love with them both agreeing it was a duty to the pride too by providing beautiful strong babies. It was the determination of the less experienced that proved she was worthy that made the male admire her as a soul mate.
