”F-furboy?” Jose asked, surprised at his opponent’s choice of words, but his astonishment soon broke apart as Yori expressed her intent to kill ”So be it then.” he muttered to himself, before shooting a frag grenade towards Yori, as the girl readied herself for their duel. In seemed a bit overkill, but he wasn’t going to take any chances with her, however, he was in for another surprise as the girl literally disappeared from her place, most likely avoiding the shot. Letting out an audible gasp, Jose deactivated his Fullbring to allow him more maneuverability, just in time to dodge Yori’s bone-crushing two hit combo, sustaining a slight cut on his abdomen, which was much more acceptable than the alternative.

Noticing the girl’s movements, Jose was able to dodge her subsequent attack, utilizing his godlike reflexes to avoid certain death at the hands of the fierce assailant. Realizing she was going to land the deciding strike once she was behind him, he feigned ignorance as she skillfully maneuvered herself behind him. Giving her an allowance of one second before he would counter-attack, Jose was grateful that she was kind enough to signal her own attack. As the blades were swung down towards him, Jose’s lightning-fast hand swiped across his belt buckle, and in an instant, a long-barreled shotgun was in his left hand, aimed directly towards Yori’s stomach ”Escopeta.” he muttered, simultaneously firing the trigger, causing a wide-spread burst to explode out of its end. At such a close range his enemy would be forced to retreat, or erect a strong enough defensive barrier to block his attack. However, the latter was highly unlikely, he had felled several hollows with such an attack before, and even the behemoths were ripped apart by a point blank shot, someone of such a small frame would most likely be killed.

At least, that was what Jose believed as he had only fought fairly low-level hollows, and wasn’t aware that the Shinigami also possessed Hierro. But even this would be severely dented by a powerful shot from his Escopeta.

"I'm new here but I'll show you around. Don't worry."

Looking up from her seated position, Yori managed to see exactly when the shotgun went off with the boy's command. It did not help her, though. She grunted heavily as she was pushed back by the mere force of it as well as from the searing pain was radiating in her abdomen. When the dust settled, it seemed that the top her of her Shihakushō had been soiled greatly with her own blood. "Oh, dear," came her voice, "if you wanted me undressed this badly, you could have asked." She smirked at him, wincing as her hands pulled and tugged until her chest was free. They continued to work though by tying the oversized shirt around her wound about three times before a knot was formed. Picking up her swords, Yori shook her whole body and took a step forward then stopped. She had nothing to show for being a female so it was not that she was half-naked in front of an opponent. Besides, there was a vest. No, it was that Hei-Taicho of all people was sending out a message via Kido. Her stoic expression did not waver as she stared a little behind the boy as the words flooded her mind. Anyone suspicious should be captured with full force, huh? She did not feel like releasing just yet but if it cannot helped, why deny it? "Okay, Furry. Round Deux." Her breathing tried to keep regularity as she continued to walk towards him now.

She twirled the blades lazily in her grasp, maintaining eye contact with Jose. Once there was five feet between them, she switched from walking to dashing. She did not know what was the source of his power but if she could just endanger his arms, it would not matter anymore. Upon closing the gap between them, Yori launched herself into the air with the intention of reaching ten feet up before rocketing herself face first back to him directly. "Bakudō #1: Sai," shouted the Shinigami Lieutenant while allowing her reiatsu to escape in the form of flames. Once she was within attacking distance, she swung both swords each at a time as a distraction for turning her body so that her subsequent kick to his head would come as quite the surprise. Whether it connected or not, Yori would reappear behind him shortly due to tumbling after the kick and attempt to strike both of his upper arms with her heated swords as a precedent for launching a knee upwards into his spinal cord.

Noticing his opponent’s retreat, Jose guessed that she was the agile type, like the bat-like hollow he had fought. Circling around her opponent to confuse them before going in for the kill, if that was the case it would seem Lanzagranadas and Gatling Arma had no place in this fight. Once he was given clearance, he rested his shotgun on his shoulder, before turning around to face his opponent. The gun’s positioning was not out of casualness, but rather as a precaution that she would strike him again from behind. It seemed that despite her speed she was unable to evade all of the shrapnel, as was evident by her blood-stained abdomen and the tattered remains of her upper attire ”W-what?” he muttered in disbelief at the girl’s jesting ”G-get real!” he yelled out to hide his obvious embarrassment. Her playful nature was something he wasn’t used to.

Not one to shoot at an opponent while they were tidying themselves up, Jose waited as Yori fixed her clothes, shifting his gaze back at forth at her so as to give her privacy, while at the same time making sure he wasn’t creating an opening for her. Once she was ready, Jose was once again able to look towards her directly ”I have a name dammit!” he protested at her incessant name-calling. But his anger soon gave way to calmness as his opponent approached him, it was a battle of guns versus swords, if he was to win it he had to put as much space between them as possible, but if he acted carelessly that’d be the end.

The moment she began to dash towards him was the signal for Jose to start the attack, quickly putting Escopeta in front of him and firing two burst shots towards the advancing Yori. He did not know if the attacks hit or not as soon enough he found his opponent jumping high up into the air, and before he could lift his shotgun up in pursuit, he found his arms bound towards his back by an invisible force ”Witch.” he cursed under his breath as Yori came spiraling towards him. Seeing as how his legs still function, he kicked off the ground hoping to dodge her swords, but was struck on the head by her surprise kick.

Reeling from the blow, Jose staggered to his feet before Yori appeared behind, this time dead set on burning his arms with her swords. But Jose would sooner have his legs crippled than lose either of his arms ”I don’t think so. Pistola, Cazadores!” he yelled as the shotgun in his hand transformed into a pistol. Pulling the trigger he sent a bullet composed of solidified reishi particle into the air, seemingly shooting it into nowhere. However, in mid-air the bullet would suddenly curve, performing a sharp U-turn before heading back towards Yori as her attack went closer and closer towards Jose.

"I'm new here but I'll show you around. Don't worry."

Raising herself into the kick, Yori heard Jose’s whispered response to her actions. Trusting her instincts, the young, flexible girl grabbed his shoulders to his height as leverage for the subsequent twirl of her body through the air until she landed safely a few feet away from him. She was not sure if she had dodged anything in reality but that seemed to be case as she was still in one piece and standing. Part of her was very happy that she had found someone to fight against but in her opinion, he had not proven worthy as yet for her Shikai. Anyone could wound and one person succeeded even in killing her. This guy was a joke compared to that. “So, Fluff, you have a name, huh?” She tightened her makeshift bandages around her waist, buying time for her to collect her observations so far of this person. He was not a Shinigami. That fact had been established from her first recognition of his presence in the Sereitei. He was a potential threat. Hence, Hei had asked for the capture of any ‘suspicious persons’. Yori stretched. If she wanted to, she could bag him right now but she was having too much fun. She smiled to herself, bending forward at the same moment so that the change in her facial expression would be lost in her mass of hair. Today, it had been placed in a simple ponytail. As her body straightened, the sign of pleasure would be gone from her lips and her face would lack any strain of emotion except for explicit boredom. “Come on, let’s hear it then. I mean, unless you like being called furry things.” Without warning, Yori commenced a Shunpo that transitioned effortlessly into a series of one-handed cartwheels of the same speed and power. However, at the last moment when it seemed that she would crash into him, the Lieutenant stopped on the one just before that could happen, lowered her body to the floor to trip him via a sweeping kick, right to left. Upon standing, her hands will glowed in a dazzling yellow. “Hadō #32: Ōkasen,” she stated clearly, slashing both swords simultaneously at him through the air, releasing the yellow energy in waves that were aimed for his wrists. It was becoming tiresome trying to cut him at the shoulders. Once that was completed, she gathered both of the swords in her left hand and placed them into her waistband. “And I heard that comment about me being a witch. It’s better than being a gifted whatever-you-are, I’m sure.” She rolled her eyes and began walking in the next direction. “Like I said before, I don’t know where your Hirgai Emiya is. Obviously, she is not here.”

Akane Itsuki, Nanabantai-Taichō

Check the Level - The Dirty Heads

Riku Ryuu of the Black Mist Mountains

[Location: Rushing the walls of the Penitence Tower]

Akane had been feeling a large discharge of Kidō from the Sōkyoku Hill. At the moment, he was rushing up the walls of the buildings that reached up towards the sky next to the mesa. He had to move quickly, as he suspected it to be either someone training where they shouldn't be or yet another... Fullbring; or something like that. He reaches the top in no time, shunpoing to the bridge from the Penitence Tower to the Sōkyoku Hill. Akane shunpo's again from the bridge to the grounds atop the mesa. He walks slowly, releasing a small bit of his reiatsu to create a surrounding, and then used Reiryoku to fully map out the area.

Akane saw the Hadō slashing toward Fullbring. He did not catch the words exchanged, but the Fukutaichō sounded annoyed. Upon the left of the chest for his Haori was the Nanabantai symbol with the Iris below it, showing who he was to both of those here. He looks to the Lieutenant, "Don't hurt him too badly, Fukutaichō. Orders from Hei Hakase to keep him in -- at least -- speaking condition." Akane walks towards Jose, and stops a good distance; noticing his long-range weaponry through his use of pressure to create an outline of the man's body. His eyes open and the ground around him cracks a bit with dust rising. A sudden rise in his spiritual pressure forces itself right upon Jose. The area around them would become deafening, and dirt and dust moves around Akane with his haori's cloak fluttering; but yet no wind would be in the area. "That pain you may feel.. it is only temporary," are the only things the young man could hear for now. He moves closer to the Fullbring, intensifying the effects of the reiatsu's pressure on him. He wanted this man on his knees, or down on the ground long enough to be able to message someone of his presence here.

"Listen, human.. you are not suppose to be here. You are not suppose to know about Shinigami 'til you're dead. Somehow, you've entered through here, and we want answers. For example; my name is Akane Itsuki, Nanabantai-taichō. I head the Investigation Division, and you're under my jurisdiction, son. So, tell me your name," Akane lowers the pressure to just keep him a little weakened, but still able to talk A-Okay and move around a bit. He has kept his hands and their opposite's sleeves for the whole time, so that his hand rested upon the handle of his zanpakutō.

User ImageGritting his teeth a bit, Jose noticed that Yori was able to completely dodge his bullet. He wondered if the girl saw it coming towards her, but thought it to be impossible, thus believed she had some sort of clairvoyance for her to dodge a bullet that was fired at such an equally impossible angle. Realizing that his position was going to be disadvantageous to him the more he allowed it, Jose focused his spiritual energy into his arms, hoping to break it, all the while eyeing Yori as she began to take her stance, most likely preparing another assault. This was bad for Jose as the best he could do in his position was to fire at her using Cazadores, and as was shown to him, that seemed to do little against Yori who seemed to have eyes in the back of her head.

Once Yori disappeared, Jose already prepared himself for the worst, and strained his eyes to watch for any sign of his opponent. Unfortunately for him, by the time Yori had slowed down enough for her to be visible, Jose had already been dealt a swift sweeping kick, sending him toppling down into the ground. Seeing this as an opportunity to strike, Yori once again launched a kido spell towards him, Jose viewing it as another one of her spells ”Jose. Jose Vargas!” he yelled out his name in response to her previous question. At the same time, the bindings on his hands gave way and he quickly twirled Pistola in front of him, transforming it into Escopeta in less than a fraction of a second ”Ola Grande!” he shouted, blasting the incoming projectiles with a powerful burst of spirit-composed shrapnel and concussive wind force.

Rolling out of the area, he maintained his position, with one knee bended to the ground, his shotgun aimed straight towards Yori ”I’m a human, and last I checked, being a human is way better off than being a witch.” he retaliated ”And quit lying, Hiiragi Emiya was last seen near a building that had entrance to this world. She’s here, somewhere, most likely being held against her will, and I will have none of that!” he continued his monologue, adrenaline surging through his veins. He had never fought a hollow remotely close to her level, the Gillian he had managed to slay by using up his entire strength, was like a training dummy compared to her. He had to get serious, or he’d defeat her in one swoo--

Then, a presence he was able to ignore up until now forces itself down upon him, like he was suddenly placed in the back seat of a car going at top speeds. No, it was stronger than that, the spiritual pressure Akane was applying to him, a mere human, was enough to suffocate him if the Captain felt like it. Already on his knees, Jose placed his free hand on his leg, using every bit of his strength to keep him from falling as the man approached him. Looking at him, he could already feel the gap between their power levels, he could’ve probably kept up with Yori long enough for an opportunity to escape presented itself, but that was not the case with Akane. As he began to spoke, Jose didn’t have a choice but to listen to him, but refused to lower his firing hand for even a second ”Jo--Jose Vargas.” he muttered his name, in an exhausted tone, in stark contrast to his lively attitude a while ago ”Shinigami… death gods, is that supposed to mean anything?” he was more or less talking to himself right now, all in an attempt to keep himself from passing out ”What… what did you guys do to… Hiiragi Emiya?” he managed to mutter out in between his rasping breaths ”I swear, if you laid a finger on her, I’ll--!” stopping midway, Jose began to cough a bit. He wasn’t exactly the athletic type, so he wasn’t used to these kinds of situations where his body was pushed to its limits. But he had to fight, it wasn’t that he knew Hiiragi Emiya personally, having only heard of the name today, but he had an oath to live up to, and he’d sooner die than give up.

[Sorry about the delay. sweatdrop

Akane Itsuki, Nanabantai-Taichō

Riku Ryuu of the Black Mist Mountains

Akane's reiatsu suddenly drops to its sealed-like state as he mentions that Hiiragi girl. "Oh, so you must be friends with that other human we found at the Hakase Estate," he kneels down, and does a small smile with closed eyes. He chuckles a bit, "Tell me, Jose... what would you do if we did?" Akane stood, dismissing the small threat, and allowed for Jose to stand once again. He takes out his kiseru, "Boy, listen, we haven't done anything wrong to your little friend," he says lighting the kiseru between his words, "but she did sprain her ankle, and one of our Medical Division members healed her right up with some Kidō; now, if you know what Shinigami spells out to in some languages, you'll understand what Kidō basically means.. To you, it is like magic; to us, it's simply the compaction, stabilization, and projection of the spiritual energy within us known as Reiryoku, which comes out to most as "Spiritual Power", if you didn't catch the drift.."

Akane looks to Yori, "You're the Sixth Division Lieutenant, hm? Well, thank you for using your Kidō, or else I would have never found this place.. You see, I am blind, but I can sense many forms of fine discharges in spiritual pressure, mostly if it's in the form of Reiryoku. Jose, I believe you shall be escorted by Yori and myself to the Ugendō, and then you'll meet your.. Emiya Hiiragi. She's rather.. frightened.. intimidated.. and infatuated with her surroundings. Maybe seeing a friendly face will allow her to relax? Oh, and please excuse the ruins... we just had a war." Akane begins walking off, waving his hand to tell Jose and Yori to get moving. He wanted Yori along because she was and could keep up if he ran, and because he wanted Hei to hear what she had to say about this one.

[From Warehouse, through the 2nd Division Barracks, and up to the Hill]

While her eyesight slowly returned, Tsukiko ambled towards Sokyoku Hill. It was directly in the way of her path, so instead of going around it like others might, she had to go over it. She could see vague shapes now, and it felt like her body was coming to, but she was still scared, scared enough to ignore everyone and everything, and continue to demolish her surroundings with her pressure.

[Hill]

Arriving at the foot of the hill, she leapt into the air, and although she did not nearly have the control over her spiritual energy to achieve a jump of that height, she made it anyway. Not through sheer force of will, however, but by her spirit offering assistance in the form of anti-gravity, allowing her jump's height to be exponentially increased. The frightened girl arrived at the top of the hill moments later, and paying no attention to the others in this area, continued on, passing through the hill while crushing the nearby trees with her gravitational Reiatsu.

[1st Division Training Grounds through buildings lying outside the Ugendou.]

Again, she jumped, this time off the hill, and though she would certainly die from a fall of that height, she was once again assisted with anti gravity. Her descent slowed, she landed on the ground below and continued on, ignoring everything and leaving a fifty foot wide path of flattened environment in her wake. Finally, as she arrived near the building surrounding the Hakase's lake, she stopped to hack her lungs out, apparently due to stress on them, and then pulled herself on.

Tetsunosuke Harasawa

Sixth Division's Captain

User Image

[Enters from 5th Division's Captain's place thing-y]

Looking for Akane to inform him that training would probably have to be delayed, Tetsu found his comrade at the Sōkyoku Hill; a place where he pledged to Yuki that he would follow her till his last breath. Having found Akane by his Reiraku, Tetsunosuke had use his talent in Shunpo to make haste to him. A strange anomaly of a different type of Reiraku was there that he'd never sense before, as well as Yori's, his new Lieutenant. Sensing these things, his pursuit to the Hill was even quicker than he had expected it to be. Unbeknown to him was that Tsukiko had just left the vicinity as he arrived; the feeling of her gravitating reiatsu caused him to break at the middle of the hill. Tetsu, huffing to stand to his feet, bent his neck to looked over his shoulder, "Who th-?" He murmured as soon as the feeling passed. Exhaling, he stood up and had a baffled look; he would have to concern himself with the new presence later, right now he needed to get to Yori and Akane. Feeling Akane's Reiatsu spike, he was slightly confused as to why all of this was going one, Shunpoing down from off the top of the Hill, Tetsunosuke had hidden his Reiatsu to the lowest possible extent. Landing and appearing with a soft step, his shoulder length Haori was flailing at the wings as his Kimono sleeves were following suit. He rose his head to looked at the three present people. He heard Akane speak to the boy, which caused Tetsu to crack his mouth open and speak, "Akane Itsuki-san... you speak to much." He bluntly stated as he took a few steps to Yori. "Yamashita-fukutaichō, are you OK?" He said while nearing closer to her to whisper in her ear, "remember, you need to rely more on your Zanpakutō for aid -- but you still did well to subdue him from escaping and causing more trouble." He stood up after leaning to whisper to her, her flashed her a proud smile as he turned to the boy with the strange ability it seemed -- his smile had turned into a glare as his head was turning to face Jose.

Akane had motioned them to follow him, but before that, Tetsunosuke had something to add. "Hold on..." To Akane he said and with a raised hand, he followed up with a quick incantation. "Bakudō 98: Jibōrensa!" He said with a full powered Bakudō. The chains erupted from around him and surrounded Jose in an X fashion encompassing his neck, wrist, ankles, and then looped around his chest. "Itsuki-san!" Tetsunosuke turned to him now with a loud and mad tone. "You turn your back on this ryoka, a stranger from the human world -- who possess strange powers, and allow him to just be free to do what he wants -- after he has wounded MY Lietutant, who was following her orders." His voice was booming with a fit of rage as he turned his head to face the currently labelled ryoka once more. "Whether you did it in ignorance, or on purpose you are where you are now by traveling through the Senkaimon. As Rokubantai Taicho, I put you under arrest for attacking a Shinigami. Unlike the human world, you have no right to a lawyer -- if that is where you're actually from. You will be taken to Hakase Hei as requested, but I will tell you this now, he is not our superior officer." Tetsunosuke said to Jose, his peircing eyes would carry a different look from the other Shinigami he had met so far, hinting that he wasn't an ordinary Shinigami. Turning to his Lieutenant, Tetsu would address her with optional orders now for her to follow. "Yamashita-san, I request that you make the wise choice and visit the Yonbantai for medical attention, but if your stubbornness sees nothing wrong with your wounds --I request you accompany us to the Hakase Estate. Itsuki-san, do NOT relay to anyone that we have captured an intruder. It is best that everyone keeps searching with their guard's up. Ryoka, you won't like this, but with that Kido spell, you won't be able to walk -- and if you've struggled any at all you'd already noticed the affects that spell has; we will be carrying. When you everyone is ready, I shall cast a scaled down version of Tsuriboshi to form a hammock, and we'll be carrying the Ryoka-furryboy to the Hakase Estate. Understood?" He finished shouting out the orders like he was Akane's superior officer as well. Tetsu looked to each Shinigami for conformation about the orders, and didn't look back toward Jose till it was time to cast the Kido.

[Edited to add response to Tsuki's reiatsu]

Riku Ryuu of the Black Mist Mountains

Akane felt two familiar presences; the first one baffled him, and the other was Tetsunosuke which didn't impact him at all. He saw the path Tsukiko was leaving and raised an eyebrow, "... what in the hell is that girl up to?" A new question began to slip from this lips, as he couldn't feel any spiritual pressure coming from the girl. He quickly turns to look at Tetsu as he hears him speaking to his Lieutenant, Yori Yamashita. Akane had once more began walking until Tetsu said "Hold on..." He looks back as the spell is cast, and he turns to Tetsu when he is spoken to. Akane sighs after he is done ranting to him about his "mistakes". Sure, it was a ryoka, but Akane was sure that he could drop Yamashita off at the Fourth Division after he secured the boy to the Hakase Estate. It's not like Akane couldn't keep track of the kid, he always was watching, and noticed the tiniest of things because of his special vision.

Akane walks next to Tetsu as he tells the ryoka of the Kidō. "It'd be better to just knock him out.. but I don't want to hurt the kid. " Akane then looks to Tetsu, facing him dead-on. He moves to him and grabs his collar, "Harasawa-sama.. you are a dear friend, a good Captain, and a great tutor. You are not my superior officer. I had it under control," Akane lets go the man's collar, "and you interfered in the process of moving him. He's after that Hiiragi girl we found, the one Hakase-sama was speaking of, so I figured he wouldn't try to run if I said I would lead him to Hei... and if he tries anything funny -- mostly with his response to what Reiatsu I sprung on him -- I doubt he'd survive long from Hei Hakase's. Senka's could probably kill the boy.." He smiles and chuckles, waiting the Kidō that would make it easier to transport the boy.

"Oh my." Kiriko had not expected for it to open up in mid-air, so she was slightly shocked to step out of the Dangai into nothing but air. Acting quickly before either of them could fall much further, Kiriko opened her journal with the hand it was in and infused the papers with her aura, duplicated them, then gathered them into the form of wings. As soon as they were formed, she spread them, caught a draft and hovered in the air, still holding Kuzumi in her other hand. "How the.. wings...buh?" Sputtering nonsense as he stared up at the random wings his teacher had seemingly grown, he was blind to the fact that she was scanning the Seireitei for both Emiya's and José's aura. The search was short as Jose's pinged on the Hill a mere hundred yards away. Looking that way, she could make out the people on Sōkyoku Hill, and immediately began to fly in that direction at top speed. She reached her destination moments later, and in a flutter of now-detached papers falling to the ground, Kiriko dropped some feet to the ground, set Kuzumi on his own feet and extended the hand holding her journal, did away with the duplicates, and directed the real pages to return to her book in seconds. Snapping it shut, Kiriko stuck it back in her coat and beckoned Kuzumi to follow. Still a ways away from the Shinigami and José, they had to walk a minute or two before they came into view, another minute later and she was standing a dozen feet away from them, extending her hand towards José and those standing near him. "Release my student immediately, Captains, if you please. I would like to avoid using force." Kuzumi looked a little stunned; seeing his normally timid, introverted teacher speaking with such bravado and courage was a little off putting. Not to mention, she seemed to know exactly what was going on. "Who are you, really?" Was the only thing running through his mind now.

Yamashita Yori

Rokubantai-Fukutaicho

"I'm new here but I'll show you around. Don't worry."

Yori wanted more than anything in that moment to injure the boy fatally for persistent idiocy. Here it was that an opponent was walking away from you and stating in plain terms that she was not aware of the other female’s existence in this world. It was his assumption that she was lying that had her hand on one of her hilts but before she could engage in another bout with the young man, she heard an older male voice call out to her by rank. Looking up, she was able to watch as the Nanabantai-Taicho approached the pair of her and the boy, all the while reminding her that Hakase-Taicho requests that any intruders be brought in alive, more or less. Without speaking, she nodded her consent to his words and turned around to follow him as he passed her to exchange pleasantries, it would seem, with their latest guest, Jose Vargas. As the present Captain continued to spill his guts out to the stranger, Yori yawned, taking note mentally that there was, indeed, a Hiiragi Emiya within the Sereitei. That should buck the young cub’s spirits back up. At the mention of her Division, Yori glanced in the direction of Itsuki-Taicho and shook her head slightly at his mention of her Kido usage. “It was nothing, sir,” she mumbled under her breath, listening carefully to the explanation of his alternative way of seeing their world. It was interesting, in the least. However, even with this new piece of information, her face would still appear disinterested, not the most reliable medium for her inner emotions. As the topic drifted from her, she begins to divert her gaze to the boy, nodding at him to give some sort of sense that she was not going to kill him after all. However, her focus was stolen for a few seconds by the swift entrance and exit of yet another reiatsu signature, one with which she was not familiar. Looking upwards, her eyes found nothing but she did catch the slightest presence of her own Captain by his own reiatsu. Upon his arrival into her full view, Yori kept her eyes trained on the man as he chided his comrade for blurting out information unnecessarily but looked away when he began to critique her method for doing the job that she had done. “I appreciate that, Tetsu-Taicho but if it can be done with less force, I choose that way.”

Then, the scolding resumed on a higher volume level. She could understand from where he was coming but according to the stories that she had heard about him, especially in the last war, it was all a bit hypocritical. Yori shrugged half-heartedly at his concern about her wound. She was loosing blood as he spoke but if anything, she could withstand it for much longer than most people could. What was tickling her was her Captain’s apparent need to be in charge despite being the last on the scene. She chuckled to herself and lifted a hand briefly to indicate her consent to the plans. “Ooh, feathers are being ruffled,” she joked about the men’s minor dispute. Stretching at the waist, Yori begins to wait patiently for them to settle and get a move on with the idea of moving Vargas to Hiiragi. With an open mind, she was open to tiniest shift in their immediate surroundings which returned her attention back to the skies as a pair of people began to hover in midair before making a direct swoop to their group’s general area. She looked back shortly at her superiors before watching the pair again as they took a minute or so to reach them within hearing distance. It turned out to be an older woman and youthful boy. For the second time that morning, she was encountering humans while still in Soul Society. With a dozen feet remaining, the woman stopped and pointed at Jose mainly before requesting that he be released. If not, she would have to use force. It was almost laughable in Yori’s eyes. Obviously, she had some knowledge of the Sereitei to mark two Captains by their attire alone. However, that knowledge seemed limited. “Like hell, we’re going to do that, Mademoiselle,” she shouted in response, “he is in our custody until further notice. You may challenge that if you please.” Yori arched an eyebrow to emphasize the challenge and crossed her arms against her barely covered chest. This unknown female had regarded Jose as her student which meant probably that the youngster with her was one as well. All of that led to the conclusion that she must be a teacher from the World of the Living. Hopefully, it would be explained soon but for now, Vargas was not going anywhere unless the Captains agreed to it.

User ImageNot sure how much of his spiritual pressure he could take, Jose was surprised when the man abruptly lifted the invisible force that seemed to permeate the very air around him. Immediately air began to rush back into his lungs, allowing him to breath normally again. It seemed the man was willing to inform him of Hiiragi Emiya’s location, though he didn’t know where this so-called ‘Hakase Estate’ was anyway ”I’d make you regret it.” came the immediate response to Akane’s light-hearted question, Jose wasn’t sure if the absence of hostility in his tone was sincere or not, but he couldn’t let his guard down just yet. Although, this just made him look like a fool as Akane assured him that Hiiragi Emiya was by no means a captive of theirs, and was doing just fight, mostly at least as it seemed she was in quite a state of distress and panic and… infatuation.

Besides that Akane’s words were a mess of words and interpretations in Jose’s mind. For example, Kido could’ve been translated as ‘demon way’ which gave the impression that they were a group of occultists, and though the fact that the man mentioned a war put to rest the question as to why there were debris everywhere, it also raised a question of who the warring factions were, and most vital of all if they were the good guys or the bad guys… and also if they won or not. But all of these questions were silenced by the sudden reiatsu drop in the air that was caused by Tsukiko’s passing. Though it was fainter than Akane’s it was still enough to bring Jose to his knees once more, which given the fact that his breathing had yet to stabilize, was a perfectly acceptable reaction.

”Bastards.” muttered Jose under breath at what his mind perceived to be another attack by his opponents. This was further solidified by Tetsunosuke’s arrival, who after greeting the girl he was fighting with just a while ago and the man whose intentions were as enigmatic to him as ever, promptly bound Jose up in something that he could only describe as rubber bands on steroids ”And I’ll put you under arrest for kidnapping a female student you demon-knobbing twats!” he protested furiously, straining against his bindings, causing them to tighten until his arms eventually went numb from having the blood flow in them slowly being cut off. Stubborn as he was though, he refused to just give up.

Ignoring their conversation, he frantically tried to flex the grip on his weapon. If he could fire at least one shot, he could free himself from this otherwise sticky situation. He almost succeeded when a familiar voice, that really shouldn’t be here, rang out from his left. Slowly turning his neck around, almost showing reluctance in doing so, Jose’s mouth hung dumbstruck as his right eye twitched a bit ”K-Ki-Kiriko-sensei?” he stuttered in disbelief before bowing his head, apparently talking to himself right now ”No, that’s impossible, Kiriko-sensei’s a teacher. A normal everyday teacher, there’s no reason for her to be here. So, that must mean she’s not Kiriko-sensei since it’d be impossible for the real Kiriko-sensei to be here. So that must mean she’s not…” he repeated over and over again in a whisper, his mind collapsing from the plethora of events that transpired in just one afternoon, the separate dimension was one thing, his teacher arriving to save him was something completely different.

”What the hell is going on here?!” he finally yelled out in a fit of comic confusion as if asking them to pause time for a bit to explain things to him one at a time, and preferably in a slow and monotone voice.

Tetsu was assured by Yori's words, he felt confident that he could trust her and she would make wise decisions. He opted out of telling her now, and thought he would tell her later during a less stressful time. Tetsunosuke laughed loudly after Jose said he was going to have them arrested for kidnapping. "Bwhaha! That's a funny thought..." Tetsu added after his laughter.

Hearing Akane speak to him, Tetsu refocused on the greenhorn as he moved and gripped his collar. A smirk of amusement arose on his face; previously during the Sephira takeover of Soul Society, Tetsu had allowed an Arrancar escape. He has made an effort toward not letting that happen again -- to anyone. Akane spoke his peace, as he had every right to do since they were technically the same rank. But Tetsu's urge to have the last word kicked in as he chuckled and opened his mouth to say something, but Yori's comment about the feather being ruffled snapped him out of saying it. Thinking it to be best not to start an argument in front of Yori nor the Ryoka. "Interesting, but what if this ryoka came here to execute the young miss who's at the Estate? Well, what if that was a ploy to trick you in letting your guard down?" Tetsunosuke spoke to him, trying to go through every possible scenario and terminating them one by one.

Clenching his jaw, Tetsunosuke was furthered annoyed by the appearance of more humans. "What the heck... how are they infiltra-- ... that idiot." He huffed as he spoke low to himself, almost inaudibly. After the older female spoke to them, he looked toward her and advance forward a couple of feet. "Captains...? Strange that you should know of a military that should be ignorant of, human. Unless..." Tetsu replied loud enough for everyone to hear him. Hearing Jose react to the appearance of his now revealed teacher, Tetsu narrowed his eyes as he spoke. "You sound like you're trying to threaten us, and you're the invaders... Humph, pretty brazen for a supposed school teacher. But as already mentioned by my Lieutenant, we just can't do as you command." after he said his piece, Jose had burst out into a questioning yell. "None of your business, ryoka. You should have never came through something you had no inkling to what it was." Tetsunosuke spoke as he approached Jose now, but stopping about four feet away from him. Glaring now to Kiriko, he asked his comrades, "Ready to transport the ryoka, Itsuki-san, Yamashita-san?" this time, he left of a commanding tone, for Itsuki's sake.

Akane Itsuki, Nanabantai-Taichō

Akane nodded, agreeing to what Tetsu said before he heard something, and felt a disturbance in the reiatsu he used to create his sonar effect. He turns to that disturbance, and cast an outline of two people. Akane put a hand on Tetsu's shoulder as he made his minimal advance, taking it off after a second to tell Tetsunosuke to be cautious. "A human with knowledge of Captains is not to be taken lightly, Tetsunosuke.. if she knows of our military stature, she then knows of our abilities. If she knows of our abilities, who knows if she can, in some effect, find a way that disables us or knows how to fight against us and defend our attacks.. though, she does look timid to you, her voice shows that she's plenty able to fight." He looks from José, who is questioning what exactly is all going on.

Akane looks to the female human, "Madam, if you would, please, tell us about yourself? I'd like to find out how you know of us, and what you know, before I so simply give over a fine young man like this José. You see our predicament, I presume? Humans entering the Soul Society is not to be taken lightly, and threatening two Taichō and a Fukutaichō is not helping my support in the decision of which to hand over José Vargas to you. If you will... my name is Akane Itsuki, Nanabantai-taichō. Who exactly may you be, Madam?" As if on que, a small notepad and charcoal pencil slid down his sleeves. He placed the charcoal against the paper and was ready to write down the information; although being blind, he was able to write by memory of characters and watching his pencil as he wrote.
