《♠Taroro ℕezumi♠》 ___________________________________________________________________ __ _ _ _ _ _ _ "Mmn..." The Rattata moaned, barely even awake. It had definitely been a long night and it wasn't surprising that he slept in longer than the Haunter did. After all, he was the one who had to drag the man all the way to the hotel, despite his small figure. But somehow, he managed it. Sleep was his reward now, and he didn't want to let it go, just for a little longer. The boy felt a warm presence surround him, it felt comfortable, yet it wasn't anything he had felt before. He snuggled into whatever it was, then attempted to return to his slumber, still feeling drowsy. However, after a moment of planting his face in the warmth, he couldn't return to sleep, no matter how much he wanted to. Peeling open his eyelids, it took a second or two for the boy to register the situation he was in but it wasn't very clear. He was greeted with the sight of the bandages that were wrapped around the Haunter's. Though somehow completely forgetting about the events from yesterday, his eyes trailed the foreign object until his sleepy golden eyes met with red ones. Still rubbing his eyes lazily, he mumbled, "Morning..." Then as if a bullet had struck him, he winched. "AH!" The boy had finally realized that the warmth he had previously found comfort in, was in fact, the Haunter. He panicked, breaking free from the cuddle. His heart was beating fast, and his breath was short from the sudden shock he had received. He pushed himself out from the man's grip so fast that he had almost toppled out of bed, keeping his balance as he did. Taroro was wide awake now, not even a drop of sleep was left. The shock was somehow refreshing and at the same time, disturbing. "Wh-What are you..." The boy pause, recalling what had happened the night before. He lowered his eyes towards the man's torso to confirm that it wasn't just a dream. Sure enough, there was the bandage, wrapped tightly around it. There was nothing he could argue about this morning and he didn't want to jump into any conclusions. After all, it might have been an accident. The boy kept his calm, "Ugh.. Never mind.. I remember now..." He spoke as if he was drunk from the previous night, at the same time, almost forgetting about yesterday.
Moving off the bed lazily, he walked towards the showers, pulling off his vest as he did. "I'm taking a shower." He told the man, sliding his hand through his hair so that they covered most of it, then sliding it back out. The lavender haired boy shut the door to the bathroom behind him, stripping off what other parts of his outfit he had left on him before turning on the taps to the shower. He let the water get warmer before stepping in. The feeling of warm water against his skin felt refreshing, definitely more than waking up beside the Haunter, receiving a shock of his life. As the Rattata turned the water off, he dried himself with the towels that were provided and wore back his used clothes. He didn't have anything else to change into, so what choice did he have? The door knob clicked as the boy turned it, stepping into the bedroom once again, with the towel wrapped around his neck to prevent his damp hair from wetting his neck.____________________________________________________________________________ __ _ _ _ _ _

"A trickster's smile" It didn't take much longer for the Haunter to hear a sound come from the sleeping boy in his arms, observing with both mild amusement and horror as the boy snuggled closer. He was...a little nervous? He knew the boy's usual temper and attitude, and the fact that he just moved closer meant that when he did wake up, Shin would probably receive a very unpleasant reaction from his 'boss'. Still, some part of him was oddly content, albeit he wanted to move around. After having to stay still for so long, long for him anyway, he was kind of getting antsy. Bullet wound or not, the Haunter would have to at least walk around, which he would have to do anyway since he'd need to take a shower or something. He was used to going without one from when he lived on the streets, still doing so from time to time, so he didn't exactly 'stink', but he still preferred to stay clean. Now that he had an injury that penetrated his skin, he'd have to so it didn't get infected and become even worse.
His eyes darted back down as the boy mumbled a 'morning', waiting almost nervously for the reaction he was expecting. Sure enough, it came, and Shin heard a startled sound before being pushed back, wincing a little in response. It was almost like his wound felt everything, which was rather annoying. He checked the bandages after the boy almost fell off of the bed, not being able to help the small smile that crept on his lips. He sighed a little in relief, glad that he wasn't bleeding again. He wasn't sure how much he bled last night, but he was pretty certain it was a fair amount, and he didn't want to lose anymore.
Not having much of any time to respond, Shin just let the boy figure things out for himself, watching as he wandered off to take a shower. He heard the familiar sound of running water coming from behind the door, and decided to try and sit up. It took a little effort and his arms were a little stiff from the position he'd been sleeping in, but he managed to sit up against the bed's headboard again, ruffling his hair a little while yawning. "Well that was eventful," he mumbled to himself, glancing over at the bullet that was still sitting on the bed side table. "You're causing me all sorts of problems," he mumbled to it, raising an eyebrow.
His eyes darted back over at the sound of the door clicking, grinning a little. "My turn," he said, shifting himself once more and setting his legs back over the side of the bed. It wasn't exactly easy, but he managed to stand up, with some help from a hand on the headboard. He kept his other hand on his bandaged wound, wincing briefly before starting to shuffle in the direction of the shower.

《♠Taroro ℕezumi♠》 ___________________________________________________________________ __ _ _ _ _ _ _ Taroro observed as the Haunter lifted himself slowly from where he lay. It looked sort of miserable for the man to be at such a position. The boy sighed some, looking helplessly at the man. Did he really think he could move about so freely like that? Furthermore, showering would only make the wound open again, not to mention worsen the pain. But whatever, if he wanted to do something as careless as that, it wasn't the boy's problem. Although for some reason, he just couldn't let it slide. For some reason, he really felt as if he was treating an animal, the man was definitely as persistent as one. "I don't think you'll survive in the shower for long," he let out a soft chuckle, amused at the man's determination to make his way into the bathroom. Just what was the Haunter thinking exactly. Didn't he know that bathing himself in water would make the wound sting? Guess he wasn't aware of that. Sighing again, the boy reached out to grab hold of the man's arm, pulling himself towards him.
"I'll help you." The boy stated bluntly, staring at the man that was struggling to even get to the shower. He was unsure about what he had just said. It didn't come out as strange, did it? And the boy was sure that it didn't matter even if it did. After all, they were both man. There was nothing to be afraid of. But how he was going to do it, that was another issue. He bathed animals of course, this one was different. It was bigger than himself and had no fur aside from the ones on his coat but he wasn't actually going to wash those. He pondered for a moment before carefully leading the Haunter into the bathroom, shutting the door behind them. "Strip. Now." He demanded, folding his arms and staring intensely into the man's eyes. The boy didn't have the mood to want to play with the Haunter right now, he just wanted the man to listen to his commands so that everything would go smoothly and knowing the Haunter, he was going to try and turn everything around again. This was definitely going to be tougher than washing an animal, he was sure of it. He flinched a little before turning around, realizing that he should have done it sooner before commanding the man.____________________________________________________________________________ __ _ _ _ _ _

"A trickster's smile" He was still shuffling towards the bathroom when the boy spoke again, pausing in his steps. Shin just about laughed but refrained himself from doing it, knowing it would only hurt if he did. Ever since last night the boy had said and done some things the Haunter never expected him to. And, surprisingly enough, they weren't painful like the usual punches or kicks he got, and they were...kind of..adorable? He wasn't quite sure how to put it, but it was taking him off guard. He was used to the rougher side of his 'boss', this new, more gentle side was something he was having a little difficulties wrapping his mind around. But, his mind was working quick enough to at least come up with a plausible reason for all of it, he was being treated like a wounded animal, that was the most likely reason for Taroro's new behavior towards a man that he didn't like. But, if that meant he wasn't going to get punched in the face, he decided to play along with it, for now.
The Haunter returned to shuffling towards the bathroom, looking a little incredulously at the boy as he mentioned the help he was going to offer him. It was true, Shin had never been in this sort of position before, so he wasn't familiar with the procedures he probably should be going through on certain things, like bathing. He pushed his unbelieving thoughts aside for now and decided to just listen to the boy, but not without teasing him a bit here and there. "I'm shocked and appalled, 'boss'," he teased, chuckling a little as the boy guided him to the bathroom.
It wasn't long after the two entered that he heard the boy speak again, his usual, demanding voice returning to him, as well as his hard stare. What he said, though, made Shin chuckle. It was too easy, the boy must not have realized that he just walked into the Haunter's next words. He reached up with one hand and down with the other, setting both on top of the edge of his pants and pushing down a bit to reveal more skin. "Are you sure you can handle it?" he teased, the cross of a playful smirk and grin on his lips as he said it. Sure enough, the boy turned around, and Shin took note of the flinch. He chuckled again before unbuckling his three belts and pants, letting them all pile up on the floor. Shin set his hand back on his bandaged wound, standing there naked, on purpose. "What would you have me do now, 'boss'?" he teased again, his words lined with a slightly seductive tone. He was just playing with the Rattata, quite amused. Being naked didn't bother him too much, he wasn't ashamed of his body. Though, the Haunter wasn't one to sleep around. In fact, Shin rarely slept with anyone, usually too preoccupied with work or 'messing with people' to really think about sexual activity.
Although he and the Rattata were close in age, they were obviously physically different. Shin was much taller, and not nearly as thin as the boy. He was toned well enough and his abs and body were a bit defined, nothing ridiculous like those body builders, but it was clear he kept himself in shape. The boy, on the other hand, was more feminine in appearance. He was thin, slender, and a bit on the short side. In some part of his mind, the Haunter couldn't help but find the boy to be a bit 'cute'.

《♠Taroro ℕezumi♠》 ___________________________________________________________________ __ _ _ _ _ _ _ The sound of Shin taking off his clothes were quite clear. The room was quiet enough to hear the water dripping out from the shower and the clanking of the Haunter's belts were even clearer. The boy felt his face heat up and cold sweat against his face, he was blushing again. How could he not have? The Haunter was bare, right behind him and his slightly seductive tone only made the situation worse. Even they they were both men, the boy couldn't bring himself to turn around let alone feel calm in this kind of situation. He tensed up a little, "A-At least wrap yourself in the towel or something!" The boy argued, trying to shake off the feeling of embarrassment. The Haunter really liked playing with him and the Rattata wished he would stop. But the boy didn't say anything, considering that he probably owed this man his life. He would let him have his fun for a little longer. At least until the man was healthy enough for the boy to send back a punch or two. Although for now, the boy was finding it harder to figure this out. How was he going to help the man get cleaned exactly... He wasn't like an animal, they were already naked when you picked them off the streets. This was tough. Something new to the boy, yet at the same time, he was completely familiar with it.
He gritted his teeth before calming down a little. Then, he spoke again, however his back still faced the Haunter. "We'll need to wash around the wound, then..." he took a deep breath, pausing for awhile before he continued, "then.. we can figure the rest out later." Taroro wasn't sure about how they were going to go about the situation at all. He was a little uncertain himself that this would even work. At least he could be there if the man showed any sigh of extreme uncomfortableness, that would help, wouldn't it? He slide past the Haunter without taking a single glance at the man, carefully finding his way to where the shower was. Honestly, it was hard to navigate around the area if he couldn't look at the room in full view, having to risk looking at the man instead. The Rattata turned on the shower, motioning for Shin to come over, his head still turned away. "You'd better have that towel on..." he mumbled, knowing that he wouldn't be able to keep his head turned forever. Picking up a clean towel from it's hanger, he damped it with the warm water that sprinkled out of the shower head, preparing to dab it on Shin's wound.____________________________________________________________________________ __ _ _ _ _ _

"A trickster's smile" He couldn't help laughing, even if it hurt. He winced but kept the grin on his face, reaching over and grabbing a clean towel off of the pile near the shower. Shin wrapped the towel around his waist, returning his attention to the boy as he found his way over to the shower after speaking, without looking at the man. A chuckle escaped him at the sight, watching with amusement. 'He really is adorable,' he thought to himself, 'when he's not trying to beat me up or yell at me.' "Yes yes," The Haunter replied and shuffled over to stand next to the boy, reaching over after a moment to undo his bandages. The towel was wrapped securely around his waist so he didn't have to hold it, but the bandages did need to come off and be replaced with new ones once his 'bath' was finished.
Shin was careful taking off the protective, white bandages, moving his hands with quite a bit of patience. He didn't want to somehow make himself start bleeding again, nor did he want to increase his pain. After finally get off the old bandages, he rolled them up and tossed them into the nearby trashcan, glancing down at the bullet wound he had received. "That's gonna leave a mark," he said aloud to no one in particular, returning his attention to the task at hand. He wasn't quite sure if he should help or just stand still, so he waited to see what the Rattata would do and work around that.
The Haunter, still, was oddly comfortable with being naked in front of his 'boss'. He half expected it to be weird or strange, which it sort of was, but not nearly as much as he was thinking it would be. Oddly enough it kind of felt...normal? If one could call this sort of situation normal. He didn't particularly mind that the boy was, well, a boy. Shin didn't really have a preference for gender, though, he did find girls to typically be annoying and gossipy, which aligned itself more with his work than him personally. He never was one for getting quite that close to people, is what it basically boiled down to. In his line of work he couldn't really trust others, not that he didn't have confidence or at least a little trust in some people here and there. But, for the most part, Shin almost always considered himself to be alone, even with as open as he was. Ever since he was a child things always seemed to be that way for him, only really believing in and, almost fully, trusting himself. He relied on his own skills, resources, resourcefulness, and street smarts to get him by and keep himself alive.

《♠Taroro ℕezumi♠》 ___________________________________________________________________ __ _ _ _ _ _ _ He heard the Haunter make his comment about the wound leaving a mark but he didn't bother replying. Instead, he was engrossed with figuring out the best way to clean the man, as weird as that sounded. As the man peeled off his bandages, it revealed the wound. It wasn't as bad as it was the previous day, it had healed quite a lot actually, more than what the boy had expected. He smiled in satisfaction at the wound, pleased to see that his efforts were not wasted. He moved closer to the man, his head lowered towards his back. The boy felt the pressure of the moment within that few seconds of inching closer. It felt awkward that he was even doing this. He had never imagined that he would be stuck in this kind of situation, especially with this guy. Never in his life. He stared blankly at the man's back for a moment, it had three purple like scars stretched across it. They looked like scratch marks and it distracted the boy for sometime. Still, he stayed quite not only because he was distracted by the marks, but he was completely lost in his own world for awhile.
He snapped out of it, clenching the damp towel in his hands. Realizing that it was starting to get colder, he warmed it up again. "It's going to sting a little." The boy stated, allowing the man to prepare himself for the pain that might come. He was starting to treat the man more like an injured animal, which made him feel slightly more comfortable with the situation but only that much. Dabbing the warm towel lightly around the wound, then at the wound itself. He tried hard not to cause any pain, washing off some of the blood as it seeped into the towel. Most of it was already dry. Considering that he had worked with even smaller wounds before, this was easier than expected. It didn't take long for him to finish off the process of cleaning the injury but now came another problem. What next?
Handing the damp towel over to the man, he looked at the shower, then back at the Haunter. "Press this over your wound." They boy stated, picking up the shower head from it's holder. It wasn't one of his best plans, but it would have to do for now. To his great displeasure, he would actually have to touch the Haunter. The thought sent chills up his spine making him retreat from putting his fingers on the man's back for a second. 'It's just like cleaning an animal.' He convinced himself, carefully placing his pale slim fingers gently on the man's back, shifting it past the purple marks as he sprayed it with warm water in his other. The boy felt his breathing get deeper, as if for some reason, this intense atmosphere was making him feel pressurized but he dared not think about it's reason, fearing for the worst. ____________________________________________________________________________ __ _ _ _ _ _

"A trickster's smile" Shin remained still as the boy maneuvered around him, figuring it was best to just keep quiet and deal with whatever the boy was going to do. He'd have plenty of time to tease at him some more later, but for now, the situation seemed a bit like more of a 'work related' one. After hearing the boy's warning, he waited for the familiar pain to hit his side again, expecting it for once. And, not too long after the boy spoke, it was there. He gritted his teeth once more, but kept his mouth shut and remained quiet. The Haunter glanced down at the wound as the boy cleaned it, a little entranced for the moment at the brief sight of his own blood. It was a little surreal watching it. It seemed to move almost like water, but was quickly soaked up by the cloth Taroro was using.
Not long after, the boy was finished cleaning his wound and spoke once more. Shin took the cloth from the boy and did as he was told, but not without a, "Yes, 'Roro-hime'," not being able to resist at least teasing him a little. He noticed the pauses that the boy made before eventually touching him, smiling a little to himself. It seemed either the Rattata was extremely uncomfortable, or he just despised the man. Either way, Shin couldn't help finding it amusing, as well. Even if the boy didn't like him, they were bound by a contract, and he would continue to be the Haunter's main source of amusement. But, somehow, Shin never hated his 'boss', though the punches were a bit annoying every now and then, he had to admit. He only ever really viewed the boy as entertaining, his reactions being the best part.
The warm water felt good on his skin, as well as the boy's fingertips. It was odd though, the sensation they made. Just then, Shin really realized how small the boy's fingers were, which he never really noticed before. It was obvious that the boy was 'small', but never did he notice the details until now, when he could feel the thin fingers on his back. At that moment, he wasn't quite sure what to make of the new and strange atmosphere that seemed to be surrounding the two, or the tug he was feeling inside. What was it exactly? He couldn't understand the feeling, and there were a variety of them, some he was trying to avoid thinking about. They didn't really come as words but as flashes of images in his mind, vague images, and his breathing started getting a little rigid. Shin tried to focus on the water and push everything else in his mind aside for now, he wasn't too sure he should follow where his body and mind were trying to take him.
After a moment, he came to realize his willpower wasn't working as affectively as he wanted it to. And, after trying to come up with a workable method to make him focus, he reached over and turned the handle on the shower, making the warm water turn to a colder temperature. It wasn't freezing, but the sudden change in temperature worked good enough to bring his mind back to reality and stop some of the strange sensations he was feeling.

《♠Taroro ℕezumi♠》 ___________________________________________________________________ __ _ _ _ _ _ _ The Rattata didn't react to being called 'Roro hime', he was pretty much used to it. However, for some reason, when the Haunter said it in the tone he did, it stirred him up a little inside but he quickly shook it off. Surprised by the man's hand that moved towards the shower handle, he felt the water getting colder. His hand that was gently wiping the Haunter's back flinched at the cold, lifting his hand away. "Wh-why did you do that for...?" He glared at the man's back. It didn't come across his mind that maybe the man might have preferred showering in cold water. At least, it appeared that way to the boy right now. He shrugged it off and continued with what he was previously doing. It was strange that the man had not mentioned about not liking the warm water, the boy would have gladly changed it for him if he did. Perhaps he didn't feel comfortable with the boy treating him this way. He had to admit, it wasn't making him any more comfortable either.
The boy couldn't be spraying one spot forever now could he? He would eventually have to move on, to other parts. A little reluctant to move from the back where it was safe, he edged over to the front, tilting his head down as he did. He just couldn't look at the man, afraid of what expression might greet him if he did. The atmosphere was just so awkward, tense in fact. Worst of all, neither of them said a word. His hands flinched again as he placed his fingers over the Haunter's chest, his eyes staring blankly at them, not moving an inch. Was he really going to have to go through all of this? For this guy? And what was with the strange feeling he had building inside of him? The feeling was all too new to him. It was definitely easier to bath an animal, then to do the same with this guy. Breathing got harder and he felt as if his heart was going to burst out of his chest. It's beating got faster and faster, the blood going up to his head, the boy swallowed hard. He retreated, pulling himself away from the Haunter, drawing back his hand. It was a reflex, he didn't mean to but it just happened. It gave him time to catch his breath, panting softly, his eyes still fixed onto the ground.
He wasn't used to this at all. It definitely wasn't as easy as the Rattata had though it would be. Taroro had thought about it physically, but mentally, he was not prepared. Not knowing why he felt so awkward in this position though. His eyes dared not look up and his hand still gripping tightly onto the shower head. Even if he tried convincing himself that he was responsible for taking care of the Haunter, this was something he had not expected. Why was he even feeling this way? He bit his lips, annoyed at his thoughts as they wondered around, not knowing how the man himself, would react to this situation. Maybe he didn't feel as tensed up as the boy did but then again if he didn't, that would put the boy at an even more confused state.____________________________________________________________________________ __ _ _ _ _ _

"A trickster's smile" He didn't bother answering the boy's question, he couldn't. His breathing was still a bit rigid and he was still trying to focus on the cold water. If he talked now, he was pretty sure his voice would sound unusual, to both of them. Instead, he remained quiet and still, not moving an inch, and kept his eyes fixated on the wall ahead of him. It was about the only thing he could do in this sort of situation. He needed to be cleaned, that was pretty important given his current physical state, and he tried to push it to the front of his mind.
Eventually, the expected happened, the Rattata moved around to the Haunter's front. And, as soon as the boy's thin fingertips met with his chest, the cold water stopped being as affective as it first was. His breathing went back to being rigid, his mind was starting to lose focus, and even staring at the wall wasn't helping any. Shin's eyes lowered to the boy's face after a moment, vaguely noticing that Taroro wasn't acting quite so normal either. He was starting to notice strange details again, how the boy's lavender hair framed his face, how soft it looked. His eyes lowered still, reanalyzing how slender the boy was. He'd wrapped his arms around the boy's waist before, but never did he have that odd urge to do it like he did now. A few of his fingers twitched slightly, it was barely noticeable on the outside, but on the inside it was a response to Shin trying to restrain himself, and it took a surprising amount of willpower from him. He wanted to pull the boy to him again, just a little closer, just a little bit closer-
Thankfully, for both of them, the boy stepped back. Shin felt both relieved, and somehow unsatisfied with that development. He could tell the Rattata was having a hard time of his own, and that it wasn't just himself who seemed to be having an issue with this new, tense atmosphere and proximity. "Taro," he spoke softly, but his voice wasn't light, it had an unusual weight to it, one that even Shin had never heard come from his mouth before. He moved a hand up and took hold of the shower head that the boy was gripping tightly, more strange sensations shooting through him as their skin met. It felt almost like electricity and fire at the same time, but it wasn't painful, just..energizing? Shin didn't stop to think on it, not that he really could with his mind in such a strange fog. "I'll take care of the rest," he continued, his voice still smooth and unusually weighed down, "you should..go find something to eat." That last bit was somewhat of a stretch, not that he wouldn't be hungry later, but it was about the only thing his mind could come up with on the spot.
Right now, Shin was glad that the boy was avoiding making eye contact, because if he looked up at the Haunter right now his eyes would meet an unusual sight. He himself didn't have to look into a mirror to know the look in his eyes, he could feel it, and he was staring down at the boy in an almost predatory manner.

《♠Taroro ℕezumi♠》 ___________________________________________________________________ __ _ _ _ _ _ _ Wincing as the man finally spoke, his voice not as upbeat as usual. The boy kept his head down not wanting to meet with the Haunter's expression. It wasn't a very good feeling he had, it was hard on him, as if his chest was sinking, feeling the thug of every heartbeat. He felt the Hunter's hand brush against his own, sending a shock to his senses, making his fingers twitch as the man took the shower head from his tight grasp. Taroro nodded carelessly, not caring anymore about the responsibility he felt that he needed to carry out. It was all too much and he couldn't stand it any longer. The pressure, the atmosphere, it was all driving him crazy. "I'll... check back with you later..." He managed to force out of his nervous voice with what little breath he had left in him. It trembled, but not enough for it to be audible. He held himself together, long enough to retreat from the bathroom and back into the the hotel bedroom.
Shutting the door behind him instantly, he took a deep breath trying to make sense of everything that had just happened. When he was with the Haunter, it seemed as though he felt more confused than he ever was in his life and that didn't just include their first meeting. The moments they spent together from the day they had sealed their contract, where just filled with delightful surprises, literally. He stayed motionless, his slim frame pressed against the bathroom door. What had just happened, became a blur to him. It was foggy in his mind and he couldn't recall anything else other than the way he felt, the heaviness of his breathing. He was disappointed with himself for being so weak, around the man he had probably despised the most. the boy clenched his fists, lifting himself from his slump against the door.
Maybe he should go out and get something to eat. It would help him calm his senses and hopefully, bring him back to his normal self. So he did, putting on his vest but not his hat, he made his way for the front door, unlocking it, then shutting it as he stepped out. Remembering the cafe, he pulled out his cell phone. It was still early and there were a few things he could do with a single phone call to the place. It was surprising how convenient the cafe was to him today. He could ask for a few days off, at the same time order a few sandwiches as take away once he got to the place. Another thing was, getting his pay cut again. His boss didn't like the waiters taking a day off for no good reasons and there were consequences. Well, the boy could now wave goodbye to half of his salary. "Hello? Sorry, Sir... but I won't be able to make it today. Y-Yes, I'm sorry. I understand." pausing for a brief moment, allowing the man to mutter his complaints. "Oh and I'm heading over for a takeaway or two." he added before saying goodbye to the angered boss. Stepping out of the hotel entrance, the sunlight greeted his eyes. He looked around for awhile, the morning air fresh and warm. Then made his way to the cafe. It felt weird since he wasn't going there for work, though he wasn't excited to see his boss's face either.____________________________________________________________________________ __ _ _ _ _ _

"A trickster's smile" The Haunter didn't nod or make any sign that he had heard the boy, just remained still, holding the shower head in a hand, his eyes following the retreating boy with an unusual intensity. He was suddenly acutely aware of the Rattata and every move he made, and the sudden distance between the two was both a great relief and great disappointment, which he couldn't quite understand. As soon as the door shut behind his 'boss', Shin released a sigh before leaning his head back and holding the shower head above himself, closing his eyes and letting the water run over his face and through his hair. He was starting to calm down now, at least enough for his senses to start returning to normal. He couldn't explain his behavior, and was glad the boy hadn't asked. Though, Shin was a bit surprised at how quickly the atmosphere between them escalated so high. Honestly, he almost couldn't bare it any longer, and was starting to worry if he was going to end up doing something that neither of them would understand.
It didn't take long for the Haunter to finish cleaning himself, albeit, it was still far longer than it would take if he wasn't injured. After finishing, he removed the now soaked towel on his waist and wrung it out over the sink, laying it over a nearby rail to let it dry. He grabbed a fresh, dry one soon after, carefully drying himself off and mussing his hair a bit with it. Shin's hair was always wildly set, and the most he ever did with it was brush it. He would let it air dry, as usual, and managed to somehow put back on his pants, leaving his belts off and opening the bathroom door, carrying them out with him as he shuffled back over to the bed.
He found his shirt after glancing around a bit, slipping it back on but folding up the end so that it stopped above his wound instead of at his waist. It was then that he realized that his 'boss' had left before bandaging him back up. Shin wasn't familiar with bandaging, and didn't want to risk wasting any. So, for the meantime, he unwrapped one bandage and pressed it to his side, not sure what else to do. The Haunter repositioned himself on the bed, leaning against the headboard once more. He reached for his jacket after a moment, pulling out his cellphone and continuing what he was working on last night. And with one final click of the button he was going to press before Taroro interrupted him, he began the downfall of the man who employed the two shooters from last night, a ruthless, uncharacteristic glare focused on the cellphone's screen.
"Sure you wanna trust it?"

《♠Taroro ℕezumi♠》 ___________________________________________________________________ __ _ _ _ _ _ _ Sure enough, the boy calmed down after his morning stroll to the cafe. He managed to let go of whatever he was feeling before in the hotel bathroom but couldn't help his mind from fuming at the sensation of how his fingers felt against the man's skin. Shaking his head, he crept through the back door of the cafe, hoping that the owner wouldn't spot him but it was unlikely. He was reminded about the events that had happened the night before, the area now brought back the memories of the Haunter, shielding him from the gunshot. The area around the cafe would probably haunt him until he got this situation settled and under control. Which he obviously didn't right now. The owner was already waiting for him, stationed at the back door of the cafe. "Taroro Nezumi..." The tall figure towered over the boy as Taroro opened the door cautiously. As expected from the ever strict boss of his. The man used his full name, and the boy knew instantly that the man was not in a good mood. Flashing a smile, he squeezed past the man, heading to the kitchen before he had the chance to be chased out.
He made his way out of the place, everything was settled. A few days off from work and enough food to feed both the males. Of course, the pay cut was settled too but that was the least of the boy's worries for now. There wasn't much to do, so heading back to the hotel was probably the only thing he had on his schedule for today. Hopefully, this routine wouldn't last long. The boy wanted to return to his normal life, he missed it already. Ever since the Haunter had appeared, everything has been anything but normal. Passing the familiar places, he never really noticed it before, but the city looked significantly different in the morning and at night. During the day, it sort of gave out a calming, sweet atmosphere. Whereas at night, it was silent, not a single soul would walk the streets, everyone was either inside enjoying themselves, or out partying. Distracted by their own activities.
His feet soon brought him back to the front door of his hotel room, his hands pushed the door open, expecting the Haunter to be out of the shower already. Sure enough, he was. Sitting by himself on the bed again. He noticed the cell phone in the man's hand and couldn't help complaining about it, " I thought I said no working?" The boy glared at the man in his usual look. It felt good that he was back to his normal serious self. Remembering that he hadn't done the bandaging for the Haunter yet, he made his way towards the man, noticing that he was pressing his wound down with a fresh bandage. Snatching it away, he folded in the bloody portion of the bandage, before bending over to wrap it tightly around the man again like he had done the previous night. His attention soon fell upon the man's cell phone again, but he didn't say anything. The man had probably already done what he wanted to do and there was no point in asking. Taroro placed the bag he had received from his visit to the cafe kitchen on the bedside table, just in case the Haunter got hungry at some point. He had to admit, he didn't have a very good appetite right now.

"A trickster's smile" The Haunter's eyes darted up at the sound of the door opening, his face serious until he saw it as just Taroro returning with food. His expression immediately returned to his usual cheerful one, chuckling at the boy's complaint. "That was for last night, you never said I couldn't work today~" he teased back, grinning a little. Shin was fully aware what the boy meant, but what he wanted to do had already, quickly been taken care of after the boy had left earlier. He sat up a bit as the boy started tending to his bandaging, holding still for him as he did so. For a moment he thought about paying closer attention to what the boy was doing, but his cellphone was distracting him in that moment.
He glanced over at the food that the boy set on the table when his bandaging was finished, reaching over after a moment to rummage through a bag a bit and pull out half of a sandwich. The atmosphere was rather unusual in the bathroom earlier, but even so, Shin managed to return to normal, for the most part. He was still aware of what happened, but decided to not act on it. He took a bite of the sandwich that was in one hand, leaning back against the headboard again while texting something with his other hand. It was only then that he realized he'd forgotten about the boy's work schedule, lost in all the commotion between last night and then. Shin didn't show the Rattata, but he sent a quick message to his boss, saying that they were 'working', which was his reason for missing whatever work days he missed.
The Haunter smirked a little to himself once he got a reply from the shop owner, but still kept it from the boy. Whatever pay deduction the 'little heir' was expecting to receive was now taken care of, as well as the shop owner's anger. The man was surprisingly cooperative with Shin, not that he was too surprised. He and the man had done business a few times, and their working relationship was a pretty good one. He closed his cellphone after checking on the matter he finished just after the boy left, his smirk widening a little maliciously. After flipping the cellphone closed, he set it back into one of his various coat pockets and turned on the tv in the hotel room, flipping to a news channel. "Watch," he said to the boy, his own eyes on the screen.
News of a large corporation that, ironically, had been competing with the one the Rattata's father owned was broad casted, saying that all of it's stocks were suddenly bought out by an unknown organization. And, that to top it off, the stocks were sold off in pieces to the other top companies. Shin took another bite of his sandwich, watching the screen with a seemingly innocent expression.
"Sure you wanna trust it?"

《♠Taroro ℕezumi♠》 ___________________________________________________________________ __ _ _ _ _ _ _ The reply from the man sent a familiar feeling of annoyance back to the boy. For once, he was actually glad he felt the way he normally did but even the Haunter's last comment made his speechless. Though he couldn't remember what he had actually told the Haunter, he was quite sure that he mentioned "Until you got better". The man definitely looked better, but it was more mentally than physically. However, there was no use complaining about it now. Whatever the man wanted to do, he already did and the boy couldn't argue with it anymore. Right after Shin had made his pick, the boy took out another half of a sandwich from the bag he had placed on the table, biting it's corner off. Then, the Haunter's words made his head turn into the direction of the television curiously. He didn't make a sound, watching carefully as the news about a rival company flashed on the screen.
He was dumbfounded and a little terrified at the same time. If this was something Shin was capable of doing with a single push of a button, then he wouldn't want to be on the man's bad side, ever. And to think, the man did all of that in this very room with a single cell phone. As the news explained about the company's downfall, he boy blinked, turning his head to the man reclining on the bed beside him. "You did all that?" he didn't sound very surprised, but he was. He just didn't want to show it. "I'm... Impressed..." He added. Of course he was, anyone would be. Except for maybe the man responsible himself. However, the boy couldn't help but worry about what his father might say at the sudden downfall of the company. He would be glad that another rival was down, that was certain, but wouldn't he find it suspicious? That the day before the news happened, his son had an "important matter to attend to"? The thought stung but he would have to deal with it somehow. Hopefully, Shin wouldn't be found out in the process. If he was, the boy would risk having his best source of information taken away from him, despite the contract they had made. Taroro's father was just that kind of guy, and even more so to his son. A cold, business inclined man, who took everything related to his business all too seriously. He was merciless, even to his own child.
But all that, was to be focused on later. Right now, he didn't have to do anything else but tend to the Haunter. Hopefully, not to everything he needed but to most of his needs. Reaching for the remote, he turned the television off, deciding that he had enough of looking at his father's rival company broadcast it's downfall. As he placed the remote back down from where it was originally, he turned his attention back to the man, sighing out before he spoke. "What are we going to do, for the whole day?" He questioned, his tone you could tell, was slightly annoyed. Honestly, with a day job and only returning home when night came, he didn't have many activities which he was familiar with. He wasn't like usual kids who had their whole day planned out with something different to do everyday. He had a single schedule that he kept to and right now, there was nothing on it. No work in the morning and no going home at night. Blank, nothing. Even when he was younger, it was all planned out for him. So really, all he had to do was follow the fixed schedule and the day would just fly by pretty quickly. Scratching his head in frustration, he glared down at the Haunter, sort of growling at him. "Ah... I don't care! You're taking responsibility for this too!" The boy complained, shuffling to the other side of the bed before throwing himself onto it.
Was it even possible to do anything in this kind of situation, he wondered. The boy squeezed the sheets of the bed while lying flat down on his belly. That's right, it was the Haunter's turn to take responsibility. "You had better not bore me to death," the Rattata muttered, glancing up at the man with his bright golden eyes. Animals were more entertaining than this. he couldn't play with the man with a ball or anything like that or bring him to work in his backpack. Right now, he was really at a lost.____________________________________________________________________________ __ _ _ _ _ _
