Slaking can have up to 460 ATK given the proper nature, and if that were the case then 299 SPD. A good choice it would be, shame it only attacks every other turn. neutral
I think I'd prefer Rampardos to be honest, if I wanted brute strength, atleast Rampardos could attack every turn its alive, rather than attack once then get hit twice before it can respond. 3nodding

Music, care to share why T-Tar would be better for my team?

I personally like all 3 of these, but I'm seeking the better of the 3.

no, get a ghost..or a wall, attack then switch out......slaking is unharmed then bring him back for a banded giga impact later

@Tentae, I spoke to Arc about it earlier. He gave me permission to have it in the main lobby temporarily. 3nodding
I'll have it here a few days or so to gather some feedback before moving it to the tips/strategies subforum.
Maybe I should have put that in the 1st post somewhere. sweatdrop
I'll edit it after this.

@Rol, well thanks for the tips on how to use him. I DO have a stealth rock/spikes using Pokemon as well. xd

@Mos, I dont exactly have a wall, or a ghost type for that matter.
This is my Elite 4 team. My Dragon team. 3nodding
I majorly want it to be Dragons. But due to the tier changes I have to do some editing. I don't plan on editing my team any further, anytime soon anyhow. If the tiers decide to change again and ******** over another of my Pokemon, I may just quit being the Dragon master and try something else. neutral
You may not think its much, but I do have a job and such to worry about. So breeding/training new Pokemon and trying to get the right IV's is a pain really. sweatdrop

Also I could switch out the Slaking, but as I said I don't exactly have a wall to defend against an attack. My team is mostly sweepers. Which is some what a bad team to have. But thats what I have to work with being a Dragon trainer. 3nodding
Hell, if I could have it my way, I wouldn't edit my team at all lol.

Have a look at Marowack if you give him a thick club and he has a beneficial nature and ev. trained well his attack is the highest in the game

Marowak doesn't have the speed or defense to make that very useful though. So, it would be beneficial to have a baton passing Ninjask with Speed boost on the same team.

Is Marowak's attack really the highest in the game? eek
And yea, Baton passing in skills isnt on my list right now lol.
Maybe for another team I'll eventually build. 3nodding
But not for my Dragon team.

The Blazing Spirit

Hmmm... it really is a tough decision...

I think that you should go with either Tauros or T-Tar. Why?

Tauros:
Pros: Unpredictable, Intimidate is useful, Good fast hitter
Cons: No good STAB, bad against walls of the steel variant

T-Tar:
Pros: Reliable, good hitter, Sand Stream can be beneficial
Cons: Sand Stream can be double-edged sword, Predictable

Tauros isn't totally walled by steel types.

It can also carry Earthquake.

But yeah, having a normal type stab kind of hurts it. But then again, Return is one of the most powerful normal type moves with pretty much no set up.
PostPosted: Sun Jul 18, 2010 8:53 am

Hmm, Yea Tauros is quite common isnt it?
I think Tauros may be the winner here. 3nodding
I'll give it about another day or so of voting and getting some more feedback before I make the final decision.

And yes, my moveset for Tauros would probably make him worthless against steel types lol.
Unless I flipflop the moves around. Depending on who I'm fighting I'll use Rock slide or Earthquake. But I'll probably find myself using Earthquake more I think.
If worse comes to worse, I can switch over to my Scorge and have him handle the Steel type. Hopefully hes alive still. xd

You could always switch him into an EQ ^_^

that way you can save Tauros some damage, and switch into an immune attack.
PostPosted: Sun Jul 18, 2010 9:10 am

EQ? I'll assume that means Earthquake lol. sweatdrop
But yea, that may be the plan. I think theres more Pokemon I can kill with Earthquake then there are with Rockslide. sweatdrop
Most flying types I can either hit with Return/Outrage or Just switch into something else if its a Skarmory. Since...I only find Skarmory to be a setting up Pokemon. Not really an attacking one. 3nodding

Pretty much...I don't think Skarmory has the attacking stats to back up being an attacker.

just a tank to set up spikes, and possibly get a few whirlwinds in.

Rock Slide also has a pretty shoddy accuracy, being at 90...at least EQ (and yes, I mean Earthquake ^_^)

is stronger and has 100 accuracy.

Yea, I suppose I'll roll with Jolly Tauros, EV's in ATK aswell. Item undecided. Either Choice band, or Choice scarf me thinks.
Moveset...
Return
Earthquake
Outrage
Zen Headbutt

Zen HB is for those fighting types lol. Unless I fight that Psychic/Fighting one. stare May have to switch out or use Return on that one.

Well lets see what others think. 3nodding
Shame theres nothing I can hit super effective on with Return. xd

Other than Choice Scarf, are there any other items that boost speed during battle?

Salac Berry, but that only boosts your speed when your HP hits critical...

that's a pretty decent moveset.

Zen Headbutt you can also try for flinch hax ^_^

and I think Psychic his pretty much everything for neutral damage except for Bug, Dark, Steel and other Psychics.

there are also to Psychic/Fighting types Gallade and Medicham but both of them should still take a Zen Headbutt pretty hard, since they no longer resist it.
