Ok here is a few points on why the world is not going to end in 2012. reason number one: the bible says that we will not know the day or the hour of the end. Reason number two: the book Revelation in the bible, a lot of people use that as saying, "this is how the world is going to end!" that is a load of crap! the book of Revelation was an account of what was to happen when the roman emperor, Neo, was persecuting the Christians. History says that he burned down Rome so he could try to eliminate all the Christians. So the whole thing with demon with the dreaded number 666, that was Neo's number; back in ancient rome people had nummbers that stood for their names and Neo's was 666. Reason number three: The only reason why people belive in that whole 2012 thing is because of what some scientists or historians or whoever was saying that the Astec or Mayan calendar ended on December 21, 2012. Well guess what people the Japanese calendar ends somwhere in 2010 I believe. So there is nothing ot worry about as long as we stay truthful to God and go with his plan for your life I think we will all be fine!

It says in the Bible that no one will know when the world will end or when the return of Christ will happen, so I don't believe in the 2012 crap either.

Calm down, sister. You should rejoice when the end comes, be glad to leave this dreadful place. Don't spend your time worrying about if you are ready, but worry if your loved ones are ready. Live your life for God and try to lead those around you to Him.
Also, you will know when the end begins. Everyone will know who the Anti-Christ is, there will be no doubt about it. And one sign the beginning of the seven years will be Isreal declaring peace. Don't worry if we're in it or not. You will know when it comes. And when it does, rejoice and praise Him, and don't weep for all the things you missed. Things will the a THOUSAND times better.

As true followers of Christ, we are not to rely on 2012 because Guessers don't enter the kingdom of heaven, nowehre in the bible does it tell us that 2012 is the end times date.

tabashino As true followers of Christ, we are not to rely on 2012 because Guessers don't enter the kingdom of heaven, nowehre in the bible does it tell us that 2012 is the end times date. the only thing i know about when he will come is he will come like a thief in the night

.................The 2012 thing isn't that much. They're right about something happening on that day~ most probably a solar or lunar eclipse. But nothing that bad.... I don't think God'll do that to us just yet. Its only been a few thousand years........ Give him a few eons. <3

Give him a few eons. <3 Agreeable, and another thing to add to the Mayan Calendar, scientists proved that the calendar was way off by like hundreds and hundreds of years, so don't fret since I know in my heart god will not cut our lives short just yet and not let us live our lives to our fullest before we live our life in heaven

If it make's y'all feel any better, I read an article a couple months back saying that the Mayan apocalypse could be off by as much as 50 years in either direction. Meaning it could have already happened. razz No worries, if it did we're actually just a bunch of zombies running around anyways.
Also I don't see much reason to fear the end of the world. Those of us who have accepted Christ have gained eternal life and it's our job to bring in more people to fill up the New Earth. Revelation chapter 21:1-4 says
Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,” for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”

That has to happen first before anything else.

I agree. the world is "supposed" to end (2012) on my 19th birthday. It won't happen. i don't think Daddy's gonna take us Home just yet; but even if He does, we will be so happy that we ain'tgonna miss a thing about this world...... 'cause we're gonna have the real deal.
God gave us the Great Commision so that his Kingdom could be seen here. He gave us promises so we won't live in fear. He gave His life so we can live with Him forever.
Don't Fear, there is no reason to. biggrin

December 21st 2012 I am going to wake up take a shower walk outside hop in my truck drive to town and stand in the middle of a group of panicking people and be all like
"BOO TO THE YEAH! WE IZ NAWT DAED WHO DA MAN! *dances* WHO DA MAN!" then drive off quickly when the non believers turn to zombies.
