Slipknot is amazing, and if you dont like it, it was because you were a child growing up with a perfect childhood. Perfect life, perfect parents, perfect friends, and nothing was wrong. You didnt see the evil in the world and you were pretty much born with a silver spoon in your mouth. If you dont like Slipknot's music, then you werent even paying attention to the lyrics, and didnt condsider that there were millions of digruntled youth who needed someone to listen to and speak out for them, cuz no one else would.
And Ethereal Cereal, if you cant listen to Slipknot and keep your lunch down, thats your problem. We love and appreciate metal, so on behalf of all metal bands and metal fans we habe a message for you, and that message is ******** YOU!
P.S. u deliberately chose those songs because they sounded the same. I can do the same thing, but in defense those bands were rap rock. just rap ROCK Slipknot was not just nu metal, but EXTREME nu metal. a lot of bands do different s**t in their records.

Obviously the point of those links went soaring over your head. I posted them to show the roots that Nu-Metal have, not just to rig the argument in my favor. Each and every one of those bands has a place on a list of roots.
Also, you're obviously not very intuitive if you think that I hate Metal. I've been listening to Metal long before you were even a preteen, so I think I have a little bit more to say about it than someone like you. Besides, why did you even bring Metal up in the first place? Slipknot is factually not Metal, whether you want to admit it or not. Slipknot was one of the first aggressive bands that I listened to when I first started out, so claiming that I wasn't 'paying attention to the lyrics' is laughable at best, because I had far more exposure to them than you obviously want to think. Teen angst is just teen angst, it has no depth, no artistic sense nor any real merit. Read some actual poetry and then talk to me about lyrical quality.
Besides, that agreement that the OP and I came to? The one you obviously paid no attention to because you were looking for someone to snap at? Yeah, that didn't make you look like a blithering idiot. Not at all. rolleyes
