Another suggestion, I beat him with a focus sash/avalanche combo. Aerodactyl and his Dragonites had no chance.

Congrats. Now you have to collect the Kanto badges, and beat the elite 4 again, but now they're using new pokemon, and have leveled up..

Once you collect all the Kanto badges you can go to Mnt. Silver and challenge Red. (The most powerful trainer in the whole game series)
